Always when I try to call customer service I wait for 20-30 minutes on the line until I get through. The representative promised to call me back 2 hours later but he didn't so I had to call them again and wait on the line for another 30 minutes. This looks like a standard way of trying to get through. Frustrating.

When moved from BT to EE (worst mistake ever made) problems since day one of order. Product misold to me and they didn't even acknowledge it until after the product was "live". ONce contract was finished, called to cancel my phone and broadband and was told there would be a £30 charge to "remove tags from my line" which there were none as i have now switched back to BT without a MAC code as no tags are present. Broadband speeds were terrible, cant even watch youtube clips without buffering. and i live less than 200 metres formt he exchange where i should be gettign the max speed (According to them). numerous phone calls just to be told that my speed was in the acceptable range and they cant do anything. Staff don't know what they are doing.

I called EE twice this month asking whether I can move my broadband onto my housemate by calling them. They told me twice it was an easy quick process. I called them today and they said I had to send them a formal letter !!! I canceled my contract completely. Never again.

    Appalling service....

Ordered landline & broadband through local EE store mid Dec. Was advised it would be a simple process and would take 10 days max to have me connected and up and running. Two full months later I still have no broadband and no router. Despite at least 20 calls to EE (and no correspondence from them or calls being returned) I keep being fobbed off with the excuse that one order system cancels out another and it was processing then cancelling my order. I was given 5 separate occasions when my line was due to go live. Every time I had to call EE off my own back as the order was never fulfilled on the due date and the router never appeared. It was a vicious circle and despite most of the customer service people being very pleasant on the phone, not one of them was able to get this to work and I was blatantly lied to and given the run around by several of them when they said my router was on its way and they would return my call to confirm. This in addition to holding for ages on 4 occasions to only be cut off with no explanation.

I finally had enough and cancelled today as I have no faith in the service or ability of EE to listen to and serve its customers. Sorry wears a bit thin after the 20th time...

Never again, avoid at all costs. Wish I had seen the reviews before I signed up!

been trying unsuccessfully to upgrade to unlimited broadband since January. Received the new router 30/1/15, but even though have been with them since free serve days only now is my postcode a problem! Supposed to be done feb - nothing. Then supposed to be done yesterday oops you've guessed it my details are lost really how can that happen. They are totally inefficient and it appears stupid to boot

I switched from talk talk to EE, I was promised fast download speeds and fast broadband. The price for the Internet has increased where as the speed of the Internet has decreased, it has also become very unreliable to stream videos on such websites such as youtube. A game took 5 days to download where as with talk talk only took half an hour. When on the phone to customer service, they told me that systems were down causing everyone to have such slow internet and it should improve, but 2 weeks on I am still here with slow internet with promises By EE broken. I am severely disappointed in the service that I am getting, I am paying for fast fibre Internet when in only getting 2kb ps which is ridiculous.
As soon as my contract ends I will be leaving EE all together including phone providers.

Switched from Sky to save some money, bad idea.

The no-downtime was actually 12 hours with no communication from EE. One business working day gone.

We are currently receiving less than 50% of the speeds obtained with Sky.

Spent over one hour on the tech support line where we had to explain how broadband works because they did not understand even basic terminology.

Finally got them to increase the IP Profile Cap although we are still no receiving a good speed. Throughput is terrible. Online gaming and streaming worthless.

    In conclusion:

    Poor broadband service
Useless Indian based tech support who admitted to having no techinical training and therefore couldn't help.
    General poor customer service.
    Crap no brand router

    Avoid.

Having recently (15 days) changing to EE for broadband provider i would advise to stay away at all costs! When enquiring about product we were advised that the signal strength would be reliable a stable enough for our requirements, having 2 teenagers in house we knew that xbox live would be a big must and ipad browsing is constant. Well, unfortunately the xbox is set up approximately 7 mtrs away from the router and the poor signal strength makes it impossible to contact, if 2 ipad on at the same time they start buffering when a search is requested from the opposite pad. I've contacted technical 4 times, advised to change settings on account which made no difference, asked how many obstructions between the router and the xbox ( we live in a bungalow so only 2 walls - can't imagine what it would be like if we did have upstairs) we then got advised to go and buy a the best router available - this is surprising as theirs are meant to be the best! And they would refund us the cost if it was any better! On another occasion on to technical we got disconnected after being on line for 15mins .... Nobody bothered to contact us back! Finally my latest attempt choose a different option on automated line "if your thinking of leaving" .. Here I was told that I would have to buy out of the 12month contract. I explained my how I had stressed my concerns at the time of purchase about signal and stability - highlighting all the items that would be running at the same time and that the sales person had assured us it would be sufficient to cover our requirements. I explained all dealings I had made with technical and that with the service being provided was insufficient I felt I had good reason to beable to cancel my contract without having to pay out. I was advised that all sales persons say things to make you purchase!!! Hence why I've given 2 stars for customer service because honesty has to be given reward!
I will be checking out with the ombudsman my rights!
AVOID THE HEADACHE ! And go else where!

Expensive and overpriced from the start, £64 for 50gb a month mobile broadband. Device they supplied failed within a year. They accused me of having got it from a third part, and then admitted device they supplied wasn't properly supported by their network. Mis-sold, lied to, and then falsely accused. Disgusting service, and will never use them again

EE broadband is slow & customer service is non-existent. We've had our BT phone line damaged by building work to the property next door. EE are reliant on BT Open Reach engineers turning up on an agreed date to fix the problem. As a result, we've had no broadband since Jan 20 and it's now Feb 4 because the engineers have failed to turn up. I've clocked up over £40's worth of calls to EE's 08 numbers but no closer to resolving the situation. Olaf Swantee needs to get his house in order. The Indian call centre is appalling and the arrangement with BT Openreach is broken. We had a similar problem last year and in fact it has got worse. Stay away from EE products!

If I could give NO Stars then I would. The broadband speed is so slow it is dire. The endless phone calls to what EE describes as "Customer Service" produces nothing but excuses and false promises. And like other reviewers here I have had a mid contract price hike adding insult to injury. In all honesty this company should not have any customers it is the pits! AVOID!!!!!!

The most ignorant useless company ever! They’re using a 3rd company openresch sent engineer to my house teicr now still could install the broadband.. inbetween there wa ssuppose to be a specialist coming but because of their miscommunication that did not happen. They then sent the engineer again to my address?? But without the specialist coming the engineer can’t do nothing ... however looks like its nothing new as engineer called me before buzzing up as he read the notes and told me there is no point in him coming as from the records he can see the specialist has not been in yet, and also the engineer was not suprised that they did this as its a common thing! AVOID AVOID AVOID openreach and EE are rubbish! I wanted the broadband for the world cup but because of their mistake and it taking them so long worldcups finishing. Im not gettinng the broadband no more! England have better chance coming hone with the workd cup than EE installing my broadband on time! The most useless company ever!!!

Changed from BT infinity to EE 38mb deal. Change over took for ever, over charged on my first bill. My speed dropped and TV streaming was just useless and not worth watching. Email system provided is the pits, just use google it's better. Customer service just full of people who know nothing. My connection speed got progressively slower as time went on and dropped to 25mbps at the router despite my line being good for 40mbps. Reason being EE had capped my service and this was confirmed by a BT engineer who tested my system. That was the last I heard from EE customer service after I gave them a mouth full for cheating me, if they cap it again I will cancel my DD with them. If your with EE check your connection speed regularly on your router stats page, you may be getting less than your paying for.

My broadband went down just over a week before Christmas and after numerous calls and hours spent on the phone going over the same old thing did they finally arrange an engineer on the 30th December whom visited my property on the 31st. My broadband has been very slow since so looks like it's time to move provider. If they a customer service who listened to your query instead of just read questions and answers off a sheet EE may be a decent option. But enough is enough.3 times in 3 years I have had faults with my broadband and have been a loyal customer for 10+ years.

EE broadband is absolutely rubbish. I only went with their broadband because I was renewing my phone contract at the time and they offered me a better deal if I went for their broadband. Worst mistake I could've made, I still have 1 year left in my contract and I'm better off using the 4G on my phone than connecting to my home broadband. EE customer service is absolutely useless and I would've give them the time of day. They messed up my phone contract, I've never been so frustrated on the phone until I spoke to them so I now refuse to ring up EE. It's a shame because their phone deals are good but I can't imagine myself staying with them due to such poor service. I cannot wait for my broadband contract to end so I go elsewhere.

Changed to EE and then read comments on this review site and got extremely worried. Then when it was meant to go live.. It didn't... This we were told was due to BT not switching it on at their end. A bit archaic we thought as we were going to fibreoptic.. Anyway. Support staff in Portsmouth very helpful. Chased it up and we were given a another date for connection. It went live earlier than they said and we've gone from having 1gh and it cutting out with our old supplier to 22gh so absolutely brilliant. If this continues... Im Still uncertain of all the negative comments. Have been told it will update over the month ahead. But at the moment. All good.

I switched over from aol and it took almost 7 weeks to get up and running but I have had nothing but trouble ever since. Patronising technical support /customer service from the Indian call centre who are forever putting me on mute or hanging up when they can't fix the problem of intermittent connection and terrible speeds ready to cancel.

We recently moved in to a new house, we asked EE to set up the line and install BB and they were more than happy to oblige. This was in early august, by the end of August we had to phone them to track our order only to get a very short reply of it is being sorted and you have your box so please wait another few days. Weeks this but still nothing.
We waited another three weeks and still nothing. I phoned them again and by the way you generally are on hold for about 40mins at best or worst three hours , I plan my day around this and carry on as normal..
So by this time we were annoyed at best. The kind lady said to us that we should have had a call to tell us about a problem with the line. They did nothing of the sort. She proceeded in telling us that we would have our line by the end of September.... I replied with this is unacceptable but there was no way of changing this.
Stupidly we waited for this magical date when our internet and line would be live with baited breath, it did not materialise . On the 28th September. Full month since my last call they told us that there had been a delay and they would be delighted In connecting the line on the 18th december this year. So something positive, it would be this year at least! I have since left EE even though they offered me 30quid for the trouble and a token gift of two months free internet which as you guessed at 2.50 a month is not enough! Go for reputable firms not something that touts itself as something that it clearly is not. The worst company to deal with and get answers from hen all you need is a simple courtesy call. Very poor and avoid like the plague!!

I now realise that EE broadband is a division of B.T. That says it all. EE broadband is like Britain today.....nothing works properly, no one gives a damn, prices go up without agreement mid-contract, no courtesy or interest in the customer. This EE Broadband is so slow it is not fit for the purpose in any way! A Scam!!

Been with EE for over 3 years for internet, I started on a basic £17pm package on an 18 month contract. My speeds were/are abysmal, topping out at 15mbps on a good day but this was manageable. Once my contract was up, I started to pay £22pm on a rolling contract (OK, I guess new customer deals not applicable for me anymore) that's fine. Forward to January 2020, without informing me at all, my monthly price had shot up to £32pm.... For 10mbps! The problem with this is not only am I paying fibre optic prices for low speeds, but they didn't even tell me. Currently, its July 2020 and I have over £100 of debt on my account! I explained it to them but they seemed disinterested. I set up a payment plan to clear the balance. However, immediately after getting off the phone to them, I realised my speeds had been restricted to less than 1mbps (pretty much unusable) I called them up to discuss this and they said there was nothing they could do. Believe me when I say: Never trust this provider. They will over charge, increase bills without telling you and restrict your already weak Internet service. I don't know how they continue to get customers with this business model. Absolutely the worst ISP I've ever had contact with, avoid at all costs. They will rip you off, especially once you are a loyal customer. I'm pretty disgusted with them and I'm writing this on as many review websites as possible so more people are aware of their scams. Beware!

I have finally managed to change my home phone and broadband provider from AOL-Talk Talk to EE after a frustrating, protracted period of a couple of months trying to port my original phone number to EE.

I have literally spent hours on the phone to both Talk Talk and EE's customer services, eventually discovering that the source of the problem lay with Openreach who incorrect address details for our land line.

However, through all the frustration of the last couple of months one thing has been clear, EE's customer services have been excellent and streets ahead of Talk Talk or any other customer services that I gave ever dealt with! They all worked really hard and devoted a lot of time to understand the problem and then did everything they could to resolve it, providing a very personal service from a named customer services rep. with additional phone calls and emails to ensure that things were going as they should or to explain why there had been a delay.
Unfortunately, at the final hurdle, our service changed to EE but with a new phone number - totally against our wishes. After complaining very strongly to customer services and being told that it may not be possible to retrieve the old number and if it was possible it may have taken 8 days to do so, Sharon at customer services pulled out all the stops and phoned me back the following day on our original number, having liaised with Openreach to resolve the problem much more quickly than would normally have been possible.
All of the customer services staff that I dealt with were very understanding, empathetic and genuinely interested in resolving the problems I was having - in complete contrast to Talk Talk.

Biggest mistake ever. Had perfectly good service with SKY (no problems in 2 years)and stupidly swapped to EE to save seventy quid a year. Speed is very variable and the brightbox needs reset very regularly. Biggest issue though is continually losing WiFi and having to phone India to get it fixed, which is painful. Tech people are HORRENDOUS. No British equivalent for problems at all. Also they restrict downloads for most of the day, everyday. Now I am going to have to pay to get out the contract, I cannot put up with it any longer. Worst broadbrand provider Iv had in 15 years......

I switched from a BT service to EE's Home Broadband after seeing a great deal online.

Problem 1 - On my first bill I had been charged £5 more than the price stated in the deal. I had to call and get this fixed. They said this was because I did not have another EE service like mobile, however the original deal stated I did not have to be an EE customer already to get this deal.

Problem 2 - I was also charged P&P of £6 for router, this was not made clear in the original offer. I just paid this anyway as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of explaining this to their customer service folks.

Problem 3 - On 19th & 20th July I had no service - the broadband wouldn't connect. I believe services were down for most of Scotland. No communication from EE online or via social media to explain problem or apologize.

Overall, when the service worked, it has been OK, not any faster than my previous supplier. But the big let down is the reliability and customer service received - It's been totally crap. I will never use EE after this contract is out and I will be telling all my friends and family to avoid them for these reasons!

If you are thinking of getting ee I would highly recommend against it. I have never had such a bad broadband in my life it's the slowest nothing will download for me. All my movies end up buffering for most of the time which pisses me off. They will cancel the contract for 180 pounds but we want to cancel on the grounds that our contract states we are to get 78mbps and we don't even get 1.2mbps. Please never use ee they are as close to scammers as PPI. Worst service. Disgusting service. There licence should be taking off them.

This company is a joke ! I never exepierenced worst service that I got from EE. EE's customer service members are not well trained, their system loses account data it self :D(that's what I have been told), their arrangements with subcontractors is too buorocratic. I placed an order for broadband on the 9th of august. I was told that in 5 days the line should be active. 5 days later ( still did not recived rourer) I was asked to wait another 10 days. 10 days later ( new router was sent- that's what they say) I was told that someone made a mistake and the activation was made on telephone line but not broadband- have to wait another 10 days. 10 days later ( still haven't received the router) I rang the company and was told by Mark that my account was redundant so it could never be activated and have to wait another week. I coundt handle this anymore so requested to close my account. Couple hours later the manager calls me back (as I requested) to apologise cause the line was active but Mark made mistake and closed activated account. Now I would have to open new account and go through the whole process again. Lol!!!! Deicided not to. And there is me reiciving email from EE saying that I will be charged penaulty fine for breaking contractual agreement prematurly. Well done EE ! You are great!
