Please don't sign up with EE they are just coning people, I singed the contract in December and they said on 23/01/2015 they will come and fixed the broadband and they saying make sure someone will be in and age over 18. I took day off from work to wait for them to come and fix the broadband from 08:00 am to 13:00 no one show to the door then they send me a text and E-mail they saying Hello your EE broadband is now up and running thanks and enjoy. No way will be running with out they put on first. no one came to the door.then when you phoned them you have to stay on the phone for 1hour and 9 min then hang up. I have have 2 mobile phones and have been a customer since 2009. I have ee broadband and home phone at my home since April 2014 paid upfront for the year. and a 2nd broadband and phone at my office since August 2014 On 15th January I called and explained to both Shannon & Samantha that my office was closing on 23rd January and asked if I could have the phone line moved to my home. I was advised that as I already have an EE line I cannot move it here so the option would be to cancel. I asked what the costs of cancellation would be and was tol £26...something. she advised me to call back on the day. Today I called and after 40 minutes the phone was answered by JOrdan in cancellations who advised me the same only he told me that the costs would be £97. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he refused, he was very rude. He placed me on hold for a further 10 minutes and I did not wish to wait any longer so I hung up and redialed. I asked the person who answered if I could speak to a supervisor and was passed to Joshua. After the was I was treated by Jordan I had decided to record this call and informed Joshua of this right away. I explained to him again the situation and I asked would it be better if I cancelled my home account as I have already paid this upfront and the contract is up in April and move the other to my home and this is when he told me that I started up a new contract for my home account on 8th August. This is absolutely not at all true...I did not at any point start a new contact for my home account...what did happen at this time however was I had made a complaint about being missold my office braodband and as a "gesture" Sarah Wright on 23rd of July had changed my package and then on 8th reverted it back..she had never at any point advised me that I was entering into any new contract and i never agreed to any such thing. I had emails between myself and Ms Wright as proof which I can forward. The fact is I only have 1 property. I would happily keep paying as I am and have 2 lines but you will not allow it so I need to cancel 1...My contract as far as I know runs out in April for 1 account and i'm paid upfront so this would be the preferable one to cancel and I am happy to pay the £27 I was quoted on 15th January. I am now taking advice as this is unacceptable.

They lost my house telephone number during the porting and had to reallocate me a new number!!!
Had EE broadband since March 2014, all was ok until June 2014, when the average download speed would often drop to around 1 Mbps, or just no connection at all. The connection would slowto a crawl and timeout every 5 minutes, which made browsing impossible.
Contacted EE at least 20 times about it and they alway said to monitor connection.7 months on, they now decidethat it is best to send an engineer out, as I am nearing the end of my contract and want to cancel.
my advise is to stay well clear. JOKERS

We booked broadbank with EE and then read the reviews on this site..... Needless to say I was really concerned we had made a bad choice in provider! Router arrived and at the cut off date of my previous supplier the router connected to EE and I had an email saying the tv box was on route. The Internet wouldn't connect and I called customer services, waited less than 2 minutes to get through and after explaining the issue was put through to a call centre probably in India.. Very nice man had the Internet up and working within 5 minutes.. Speed is faster than before and so far I'm very impressed with the service provided....

All the reviews on this site complain about things EE have no control over, they started to give free home broadband to customers (when they were orange) consumer demand for a cheap mobile internet and home phone package have caused them to expand so anyone can have it. Connection fees are actually charged by BT EE cover most of the fee asking customers to cover 40%. Speeds are controlled by BT as they own lines. Lines randomly get deactivated by BT so they can charged "installation" fees or engineer call out fees. EE customer service is not amazing but I work on new join team we get over 2500 calls a day 80% of them are people complaining that they have slow speeds (BT cause this as then people leave and they can charge more "installation fees") BT is the cause of 90% of problems for providers they send engineers to cut lines and cause problems I know this because I was a open reach sub contractor before I worked for EE... If you want uk based call centers go for sky or EE if you want a good service and people who won't sabotage your lines to make more money stay away from BT network companies and go to Virgin. By far best provider around and I can't wait to leave EE not because of problems they cause but because of BT

Agreed to contract in the morning, then changed my mind after thinking carefully about how I was treated by the bossy, arrogant and patronising lady in the morning. When I called the cancelation team in the afternoon the nasty man was even worst, he was basically trying to tell me that I cannot cancel my contract and put the phone down on me
I will not recommend this roague trade cowboys even with free forever broadband and everything else, my advice is go and find another proper supplier. If they treat me like this before I even get any (horrible) service from them, I dread to think what could have happen after few days into the contract. EE shame on you, please train your staff to respect people.

An absolute shower, their call center personnel are just there to delay things and seem very reluctant to escalate customer problems that they cannot resolve. Their disconnection staff are unhelpful bordering on rude.
Join them at your peril and watch your blood pressure rise. If it were possible to give a no star rating I would.

EE Broadband is fine until there is problem. The overseas call centre are the rudest, most inept bunch of people I have ever come across. I was given different stories each time as to why my landline and broadband were down, spoken to rudely, dropped calls when questions I asked weren't on the script and people who say they'll call back and then don't.
You get what you pay for and even though BT was a lot more expensive, if you had a problem it was sorted out promptly and politely.
If you can't provide adequate service then you shouldn't be selling broadband.

very bad service from EE technical department. I ordered EE broad band 1st of January 2015. i didn't get any internet until today(19/01/2015). But EE charged their monthly rental and everything from my account two days back. I do not recommended this EE broadband service to others. all starting programme very very poor. Don't waste your time.

It is the worse decision I have ever made to order the EE broadband. The installation has been delayed for over two weeks and I still don't know how much longer I will have to wait. It is an extremely painful experience when each time you call their customer service. You have to wait for terribly long time to get answered and you will be transferred again and again to different departments and you have to answer those security questions again and again. At last you really want to just kill yourself to stop this pain...

Absolutely appalling service on all counts. Slow, downloads cut off due to server errors, many pages won't download, some only half download. So-called tech team in India are hopeless and very, very rude. They have no patience and cut people off if they can't understand the problem - which is just about every time. How unprofessional and discourteous. Customers are of no value to them whatsoever.

Used EE for phone installation and broadband in new build property due to outstanding value (unlimited broadband, free weekend calls, prepaid line rental discount, £100 Amazon voucher, half price line installation, free Norton anti-virus means I only pay £5.66 month). Slight issue with initial online order where only phone was setup, but customer support honest enough to admit their error and broadband followed initial phone line installation 7-days later. BrightBox router easy to setup. ADSL speeds OK for my distance from phone exchange; I only need eMail / web / software download / YouTube so ~6Mbps adequate. Cannot fault the value and so far service has been reliable

Signed up after getting fed up with Sky recently. Had no idea I would be subjected to a non UK call centre whose sole objective seems to be to waste my time and mumble platitudes. Very polite but very pointless and I do not use any company that cant even be bothered to invest in providing support from the same country as their customer base. Will be terminating the contract as it hasn't been 14 days yet.

Can not comment of broadband speed or reliability as we have been left without it for the past 4 weeks and have been told that nothing will be done until next Friday! Customer service was terrible. We have had to buy extra data for our mobiles, which are also on EE, as we have no WiFi.

first day with EE broadband - no internet, no landline - talked to two different customer service people both unable to help, just repeating the same thing over and over again without offering a solution or providing any compensation. very disappointed now looking into ways to cancel. stay away from them. They are very sneaky and try to mislead you.

Giving EE A one star rating is far too good for them. Their customer service is appalling. They say the will ring back but often do not. They say its not their fault the problem lays at the suppliers door and it will take 72 hours to rectify. My broad band started on 22/12/2014. As of 14/1/2015 the problems are still not resolved.Despite over 10 phone calls some of which lasted for nearly TWO HOURS I have very slow download speed which affects streaming programmes, making it very difficult. They say up to 17mb download speed but typical is 8 to 9 mb. I get no where near that speed. Their line manager is typical of call centre personnel having well rehearsed answers and assurances of rectification even allotting a case manager who will keep one fully informed of the progress. In my experience some three weeks plus on is yet to materialise.I have to guess there is no progress as I have yet to be called by her. To leave them now they want in excess of £170 for a service they have failed to provide. I think distance selling ( over the phone) for a service that fails to comply with verbal and advertised product should be warrant enough to leave this company with out having to pay their unreasonable charges. After all they have failed to observe the contract they wish to implement by not providing the service portrayed.BUYER BEWARE this company in my estimation has serious failings and needs to be taken to task.

I only gave the top two categories one star because zero is not possible. This is not only the worst company I have ever dealt with, they are criminal. They breached their T&Cs countless times, made falls promises, proved to be completely incapable of sorting out the most minor of issues, haven't got the slightest modicum of customer service mentality and have even acted fraudulently. To everyone: Do Not Go With This Company!! You will regret it and you will find it almost impossible to leave!! I am on the brink of beginning a legal battle with these incompetent, scandalous, unintelligible people. Not to mention the complete uselessness of their call centre. STAY AWAY!!!!

Worst service ever and I used to be a loyal orange customs on my mobile contract before going to EE (since cancelled) If I hear that they are the "biggest and fastest network" again I'll strangle someone. Speeds less than 1mbps regularly to a landline which supports fibre is disgraceful!!!

AVOID this company
Sign us up for a wrong contract (£9.95 per month not £2.5!!! + line rental). Services started just yesterday and I can not cancel contract. (They send me first bill and start services AFTER the date I can cancel contract). Quality is much worse we had with previous provider (Talk Talk)

The worst experience with any company, customer service and products I have ever experienced.
EE bright box wifi only works if you sit on the floor next to it. If i step three feet away the signal drops. When trying to fix the issue customer service call centers were very unhelpful. After several failed attempts and very long phone calls to customer care I called the cancellation department 12 days after installation, here the adviser was rude bordering on abusive, when I asked to speak to the manager I was put on hold and then cut off. EE claimed their 14 day cooling off period would allow me to cancel my 12 month contract if a wifi connection could not be achieved, this is not the case. The only way to cancel my contract I was told in an extremely aggressive way was to pay the full 12 months of the remaining contract (12 days into it having never achieved wifi signal 3 meters from the router )
Results of dealing with EE = 12 days working from home sitting on the floor next to my router, three long calls to unhelpful tech support, one very abusive dressing down from the cancellation department and £160 worse off to pull out of the contract.
Have a serious think before entering into any contractual agreement with this company. I will not make the same (expensive) mistake again.

If I could give minus stars I would. Broadband speeds has now dropped below one mbps and has never been even half the 14 mbps promised in the beginning. Customer service is honestly worse than I have ever come across. On hold for an age only to have my call answered by a guy with limited English. Kept going silent for so long without explanation I thought he'd put the phone on me. Never bother writing on review sites but EE are bad enough to drive me to write a book on them. Avoid like the plague!

Absolute Shambles. Line speed, both up and down absolutely horrific - when it worked - line flapped constantly with 100% packet loss every 15/20 minutes.
No tech support, ran through the same script with call centre far too many times before I became bored, official complaints bounced bag, EE where not interested to see router logs to prove issues.
Quite amusingly, I've had to post this review 3 times due to connection failing... AVOID. Use a good ISP such as A&A

Switched from talk talk to ee as they were offering a slightly better deal.
initially broadband speed was on a par with what i was getting with talk talk.
However, a couple of months down the line my speed is down to a snails pace.
1.15mb download and a pitiful 0.12mb upload.
Never been in the best area for speed but that's approx 4 times slower than I had previously.
It's also pretty obvious they're throttling bandwidth p2p also just to make matters worse.
awful. Can't wait until my contract is up now. Only 10 months to go...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS- pay £5 more somewhere else then coming to EE.
Worst ever service from a broadband provider. The speed lets you down and the customer service fails you miserably.
Moved from Sky to EE with promises of best provider of broadband etc etc. I got Fibre broadband and the speed is worst then dial up.
Had terrible issues with set up first, delays in installation, sent faulty router, engineer did not turn up and no sympathy at all from customer services. EE took over from Sky and shut down my line without activiting the new phone and internet on the promised day, 2 weeks of delays without a single apology or refund/compensation. Didn't even provide me with a mobile data allowance to use in the interim even though I am on EE mobile.
Second part of misery came in when i moved home 10 months later, gave 2 weeks notice to EE and a confirmed date. Again they shut down the service at the old property without installing it at the new property and its been 2 weeks I am without phone or broadband with no resolution date in sight as EE customer service keeps on blaming BT for their failures.
I am regretting getting contract of 18 mnths from EE.

Switched across to EE a year ago as I had my mobile with them.
Positives:
+ Price was good at the time
Negatives:
- Customer service is poor. I had to call twice for a mac code today. Second time took 25 mins mostly on hold and the cust retention team effectively told me I was lying about having called earlier in the year about broadband speed!
- Struggled to get 2mb speeds when TalkTalk were usually 5-6mb.
- The router was poor as well, couldn't get reception one room across unless the door was open.
Everyone makes mistakes, but don't call your customers a liar!

Switched from Plusnet, who of which where fantastic, to see what they where like and I have to say I should have seen some reviews prior to doing so. With Plusnet, whenever I did need to call them, I was greeted politely and felt like I was talking to someone who not only knew what they were doing, but someone who did everything they could to help. I've been with EE for nearly two weeks now and have had to phone many times. Only to find that their customer service are not only rude, but are un helpful aswell. When I phone them I'm expecting them to be able to give me help. Not to sit there mulling in words which slightly sound English. Not being racist or anything but it's awful. The broadband itself is absolutely terrible. I've been using my 4G on my phone whenever I can as it's actually faster and more reliable. EE as a phone proviDer are good but as for their Internet, it's a no no. Should be getting about 20Mgb and I'm just about getting (if lucky) 2-3. And every so often it will just drop out completely. The router they provide is terrible. The signal is very weak when it reaches my room and it's not like it's that far away. Don't even care about the cancellation fee, I'm going back to Plusnet or having a look at SKY or BT. Worst provider I've ever been with.

EE has the worst customer service I have ever experienced first I ring up for a mobile contract only to be told I can't have one unless I also take out broadband I explain that I am already in a contract he replies saying that they buy out contracts and I don't need to do anything at all I ask if my you view box will still work (3 times I asked) his reply yes it will.. Next day I get an email from Talk Talk saying I owe them money so I ring back up only to be told I have to pay my contract off and they will reimburse me. I agree to stay with EE. My EE went live today only for my you view box not to work, I ring up again to be told the speed is too slow so no it won't work. I try to reinstate my Talk Talk only to have to do a new order which will actually cost me more than I was already paying and will be two weeks without Internet whilst I have exams and need to study!!! I ring EE back up the customer services are good and the guy was helpful I then look at my bill which has an outstanding charge on for 33.02 how can I have an outstanding charge on something I have never used?? And I see a 'deposit for service' of £50.00 has also been taken out of my account something I new nothing about! He never even told me how long the contract was for! This service is horrendous and has resulted in me spending time I should be spending studying re ordering a service I already had and was happy with. Absolutely disgusting! It annoys me I have to even give them one star!

Worst, worst, worst, worst broadband I have ever used. Switched from Talk Talk thinking I was getting a better deal, but that was a huge mistake. First had it installed back in September, well they didn't connect in time so had no internet for a week. Then they said the fibre broadband doesn't work in my area AFTER I switched. At least once a week the internet stops working. Then goes back to the same rubbish speed it provides. Not enough to even download/stream content. Youtube is a no go area at times. For the past 3 weeks my internet has been the equivalent to the dial up internet from the past. Customer service staff has gone as far as to ask me to get a screw driver to unscrew my phone socket. As far as I'm concerned, you bring an engineer to my home and do what you think needs doing. After 4 awful months with EE, I'm switching back to Talk Talk. Your mobile network is just as bad by the way.
