I am ashamed to give this company even 1 star. Customer Service is terrible. They are all indian or polish, internet is the worst I have ever witnessed. I like to play games and it's just impossible to play games. I had to call them up 3 times with in just 3 weeks of being with them. the internet shouldnt have the privilege of being called internet. It's absolutely absurd, I am ashamed to tell people I'm with EE because it's just a mess of a company. I cannot believe they have the cheek to call themselves best internet in UK ! >DON'T GO WITH THEM<

Absolutely the worst service I've ever encountered from any company I've dealt with. Broadband connection regularly disconnects and have had some of the lowest speeds since they took over as my ISP

Shockingly rude call centre in Asia defending their disgraceful level of service.

Wanted to cancel but told I would have to pay a cancellation fee despite their terrible service.

I'm a very patient person, but EE's customer service is terrible. Received my router, confirmation letters about a week ago. Have only just received notice that, our order has been cancelled... No explanation, now we've been told we'll need to pay an additional fee to get a line installed and that it'll take another 10 WORKING days (two full weeks). We've been offered no help and no explanation. You really do pay for what you get...

Switched from Sky to save some money, bad idea.

The no-downtime was actually 12 hours with no communication from EE. One business working day gone.

We are currently receiving less than 50% of the speeds obtained with Sky.

Spent over one hour on the tech support line where we had to explain how broadband works because they did not understand even basic terminology.

Finally got them to increase the IP Profile Cap although we are still no receiving a good speed. Throughput is terrible. Online gaming and streaming worthless.

    In conclusion:

    Poor broadband service
Useless Indian based tech support who admitted to having no techinical training and therefore couldn't help.
    General poor customer service.
    Crap no brand router

    Avoid.

Switched from Sky. Worst mistake I ever made. Horrible customer service. Tried contacting them regarding poor internet speed (could not even open a browser window-much less video call family abroad). Never solved the issue. Insulted and verbally abused by them. They wouldn´t let me cancel. Kept transfering me to tech service. Finally paid early cancellation penalty and back to sky. Should have never left Sky.

I switched from talk talk to EE, I was promised fast download speeds and fast broadband. The price for the Internet has increased where as the speed of the Internet has decreased, it has also become very unreliable to stream videos on such websites such as youtube. A game took 5 days to download where as with talk talk only took half an hour. When on the phone to customer service, they told me that systems were down causing everyone to have such slow internet and it should improve, but 2 weeks on I am still here with slow internet with promises By EE broken. I am severely disappointed in the service that I am getting, I am paying for fast fibre Internet when in only getting 2kb ps which is ridiculous.
As soon as my contract ends I will be leaving EE all together including phone providers.

Can't wait for my contract to end. The broadband speed is truly dreadful. We had no problems with our previous sky but being greedy we were tempted by EE's offers. I would gladly pay double to get a decent speed again.

I changed to EE from Primus Newcall for which there is not a low enough rating as far as I am concerned! When I was connected to EE I could not initially get broadband and spent several hours on the phone with the technical support team (all of whom were extremely helpful) culminating in a home visit from a BT engineer who had been told the job was urgent and quickly resolved the problem. Broadband speed is excellent but only just up and running so can't comment on reliability. What a difference from months of almost daily phonecalls to Primus trying to achieve a service fit for purpose . Thank you EE for treating me as though I matter all systems can have problems it's the way they are dealt with that counts.

Very poor service. I ordered this service and went through all the purchase. The lady said service will be up and running in 7 days. I later received a text that service will be delivered in 2 weeks. Still nothing. I called EE only to be told they got my address wrong and have being trying to reach me. REACH ME ON THE PHONE ION MY HANDS???? Never rang. I will also be taking my phone from Orange in a few months. This is a very poor service. I have been with Orange for 15 yrs but time is up with this EE stupidity.

I have been with EE for two years. At first it took them 3 month to install my line and actually got the broadband. When I moved Home I asked them to move my broadband, they told me it would take three weeks. On the day I was supposed to have an active line nothing came up. Ring them, after two days on the phone they told me they moved it to the wrong address (and some poor people lost their connection in the process). They offered me a month free and told me it would be up in two more weeks... I made the mistake of accepting. A week later they come back at me telling me they needed to restart the process and that the line would me operation in an addition 4 four weeks... In the mean time they offered a 3G dongle as a "solution", turn out to be a pay as you go one for which I actually have to pay. I finally resign my contract with them.

The worst broadband provider I have ever had the misfortune of using, unfortunately I cannot comment on the broadband speed as after waiting for 2.5 weeks, my phone line has finally been activated but the router does not work! Waited an hour on the phone to speak to someone and finally they agreed to send out a new router. Fine. However, they then transferred me to the billing team so that I only get billed once the internet is up and running (I.e. when new router arrives) and the guy on the billing team was so bloody rude! Kept insisting that the broadband was already activated and didn't even let me get a word in to explain that the router is broken and therefore I cannot receive broadband service! He then proceeded to shout at me when I told him to let me explain, and refused to give me his name. He then HUNG UP on me! I am completely enraged. Never mind the broken router etc, is this how EE trains their staff to speak to customers!! Absolutely appalling. And no, he wasn't based in India, he was British!

We bought the 38mb/s download & 10mb/s upload package from EE and 1 month after the installation date, have only 15mb/s download and 6mb/s upload. We have also had no working phoneline for the entire duration, 1 week delayed installation, intermittent access and several days with no service at all. Avoid EE and Openreach.

Cant even cancel contract coz its past 14 days. Took them over 14 days to come install so unfortunate for me i could not see how useless these tool heads are. Dont make the same mistake as many others. Go elsewhere

Broken promises and lack of communication. 6 weeks after signing up I still have no broadband service. It was supposed to take 10 working days. I've spent massive amounts of talktime on hold, whilst trying to find out what's going on.

Eventually I cancelled. A couple of days later I get a text telling me the phone line is connected. Now I'm being passed around from pillar to post again, trying to find out what they are playing at.

    Awful service

All is well until the broadband goes OFF.
Then the "getting it fixed" contact to India is just a waste of time - after 3 days you then believe there is a problem - but only after threatening to leave EE then all seems to get fixed quickly. It is an absolute nightmare to A.) find the contact number and get through.
B.) Doing all the silly things with wires filters and screwdrivers - which kill time and NEVER FIX the problem.
C.) Getting through to someone that I can understand and are sympathetic (English).
I will never recommend EE to ANYONE !!!! And this is from a longstanding loyal customer!!

Disappointing. 3 weeks into the contract and my phone still doesn't receive incoming calls. Difficult to find a number to ring. No email or web form for contact so you have to wait on hold for ages. Not looking forward to problems I haven't realised yet. My advice - not in any way worth the few pounds a month saved.

Was great until I moved, been waiting in line for 50 mins and then hung up with an automated message. Then a 25 min wait and no solution to my issue (so apparently a line fault) . Then a 15 min wait and a promise to be fixed a week after the move date, this passed and still have no Internet. Different people who never seem to know their face from their bum. Customer service is appalling. Please go elsewhere if you think you will need to move it.

I was with ee for 6months, in which time I had nothing but trouble. Super slow speeds, rubbish customer service and going round and round in circles. I had engineers sent out and the cause could not be found. They kept asking me to ring them and tell them the speeds over weeks. They never improved and in fact got worse. Fibre optic running at 2mbps ha!!! The internet kept cutting out whilst browsing. Films wouldn't buffer etc. They then charged me engineer fees which I had to get refunded by my bank. In the end I rang up and cancelled. They tried charging me £250 until I told them simply they were the ones breaching the contract and that they can send me a bill but I wont be paying it. I will be paasing it on to trading standards who will deal with it on my behalf. I was put on hold for 5 mins to then be told they would be cancelling it woth no further action and it wouldn't cost me a penny. I even got an apology. Still absolutely peed right off but can finally relax and get a better deal else where with a decent broadband speed.

Apparently, if there's a fault with your broadband you need to call them every day (and be on the phone with their Tech support over 1 hour) to claim that the service is not satisfactory.
Ass many ISPs, all good when there are no problems, just HELL when anything goes wrong. AVOID THEM.

I have had nothing but trouble since I signed up to EE. Within the first week the speed was ridiculously slow and can't go longer than 5 minutes without dropping off! I phoned and spoke to several different people who didn't have a clue what they were on about and after ELEVEN phone calls I threatened to contact trading standards and citiZens advice to see whether I had to pay for a useless service. It was then they suddenly sat up and said they'd send a technician round (although it would be at my expense if it needed any repairing even though the installer guy put a new line and new box in.) The technician who came told me the internet was set to the lowest speed and put it up a bit. It was ok for a few weeks but kept dropping off again. Final straw has come this morning when for the second time in a row they have taken £83 out my bank for a £19 bill. Will be contacting them this morning and informing them I WILL be contacting trading standards this afternoon. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

ABSOLUTELY FUMING. WARNING to all of you out there who doesn't want to get royally ripped off!!!! EE ARE A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. received my router a month ago and still NO connection. Have called the customer service team numerous times to be given different answers every time. Absolutely no clue. I've now been told my account is locked because of billing issues!! HAHAHA billing issues? I've paid them in excess of £100 because I paid for the line rental in a bulk payment!! What a mistake that was! Another story they have concocted. Received NO internet signal and I'm still being told to pay! Pay for a service I'm not using! I've had so many different conversations between akhmed, sheena, Raheem it doesn't seem to matter anymore what the problem is, all they're concerned about is how to think of a different excuse!! How do we escalate this? It is SO UNJUST. engineers also been called (had to take a day off- THANKS), turns out the line was never active - ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!! Don't be fooled, I certainly was. But then why would I be dubious, Kevin Bacon, the great Hollywood actor, is the face of the company after all. they tell you the line is active (after doing a false line test) and it's 100% not. The engineer had to reconnect the line and told me to take it up further with EE as the line is SO weak I wouldn't receive a good connection anyway. I could go on and on about this but until I get a resolution I am not prepared to sit here and say nothing about this terrible terrible excuse of a service.

The internet was fine when it worked and given where we live the speed was just acceptable. However, do not have problem because EE do not care. The speed of my internet downloads dropped to 140KB/s so even email was a problem and many webpages timed out before loading. After 20 minutes waiting to speak to somebody I got through to an Indian call centre. At first they would not accept my problem as the account is in my wife's name and they needed to speak to her even to report a fault. Not a good start. I had all the account details including the password so finally they were prepared to listen to my problem. First, I had all the reasons why it was my equipment and not a fault with their system but after some tests I was told maybe there is a problem but it needs to be passed you to another department and they are very busy so expect a long wait. I had now been on the phone for 40 minutes so I asked would they ring back please which thet agreed to do. After 4 hours no call so my wife phoned after 30 minutes she too was getting nowhere and had been passed to 3 different people all of whom spoke with a very heavy Indian accent that was very difficult to understand especially when coupled to a very poor phone line. She did get them to call us and the line was then better. Finally we got an explanation that EE were doing some upgrades and these could take another 2 weeks as a result the internet speed had been reduced. However, the internet was still working so they were providing a service! The fact that it was so slow and in effect could not be used did not bother them as in the small print they do not guarantee any speed. When asked why people were not told in advance about this I got silence. Needless to say we are now changing provider. If this company spent a fraction of what it spends advertising for new customers on keeping the existing ones happy they would do much better. I have heard EE described as the RyanAir of internet company's not true even RyanAir are not this bad!

Sooo wish I didn't go to EE. Is it fast ? yes however 2 massive issues. You cannot download any torrents whatsoever as they have taken it on themselves to block them !! Another massive issue is I occasionally work form home and have a personal email address @mycompnay name - thing is I cannot send emails as you have to enter different outgoing mail server settings which is a opsin in the a!$ as I have to change when I get home, then change again back in the office. If I could get out of the contract they so clever tie you in with I would have stayed with SKY as they do not determine what websites you can or cannot download form and I didn't have to change my mail server settings. When I called them and asked why I cannot download torrents he said they follow some "guideline". Funny how Google do not do this and allow you to use the internet how you wish ! Pointless having 38 mb broadband as I cannot use it !!

I've been with this RUBBISH company for 3 weeks.Youtube keeps freezing and buffering all the time. Internet pages are so slow, my computer is 3 months old. Customer service put me onto an engineer in India who I could hardly understand. He told me I was getting the right speed. I was with AOL before and had no problems. I joined EE because they were.doing a cheap deal, now I know why. They want £116.49 to cancel the contract after I've already paid £132 upfront for the phone line. if you're looking for broadband don't join EE, RUBBISH COMPANY.

I was on BT Infinity for 18 months and decided to move the line and broadband over to EE fibre broadband to save a few pounds.

I wish I hadn't - for the small amount I am now saving it wasn't worth it.

    Here are some reasons:

    1. During the transfer for some reason my BT account was left active so I was still getting billed from BT as well as EE - it took a lot of phoning up to get this sorted and i am still waiting for a refund from BT.

if you are considering moving providers I would suggest your manually call up your old provider to make sure your account is closed.

    2. EE operate traffic management which means I cant use the internet for certain types of internet use during peak hours - 18.00 - 01.00 M-F or 13.00 - 00.00 at the weekends. This is really annoying. I don't download any torrents but rather I use a VPN connection which always worked fine on BT but is unusable on EE.

    3. The EE supplied broadband router is in my opinion inferior to the BT router (which is saying something). When my or my girlfriends iphone are connected to wireless web pages or apps freeze and have to disable and enable wifi to fix it. this happens all the time to both our phones. was always fine on BT.

    4. When you move your phone line and broadband from BT you have to separately cancel BT sport or they start charging you £12 a month for it - so watch out for that.

I now have 18 months stuck on EE.

I learnt a lesson - you get what you pay for.

BT aren't perfect either but my advise would be to stick with them.

    PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Possibly the WORST customer service experience ever received. Very poor communication skills to new and existing customers with their initial offers and then additional charges everywhere which they never tell you over the phone. You then call to rectify MANY TIMES of which you are always assured its sorted only to find the following month you are charged at rates your not expecting!! Tried to leave as I though a 14 day trial period should start from when your ACTUALLY have the product to use only to find that due to having to wait 3-4 weeks for the broadband to be activated actually counts to your trial period....... work that one out?!?!?!?!?

Just literally waiting for the next thing to have to waste my time on the phone to them about the next c$*k up they make.

To top it all off, the actual product of the broadband is very poor quality and very slow.

As soon as my 12 month contract is up, I'm off!!! They couldn't give it away to me if they tried!!!

DREADFUL BROADBAND PROVIDER AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Had problem with landline & rang EE who said if it was my equipment I would have to pay £60 but if fault was outside I would not have to pay. BT Engineer found fault in external wiring and said there would be nothing for me to pay. This was in June so imagine my horror when I opened my E Bill on Saturday only to find I had been charged for the repair. Rang EE immediately and eventually they said it was an error. This was having tried to get me to say it was an internal fault, They did not want to know the meaning of OUTSIDE !! I then asked for this amount to be credited before collection of the bill but was told that was not possible!!. In other words you have no way of seeing your bill before it is collected. When I said I was a pensioner and could not afford to pay this, I was told to ring my Bank and tell them there had been an error. So I am left with a bill that I owe a little of but have to pay it all and will get monies back next month (I hope). They made the mistake and I have to pay.
Ok I should get it back next month but I dont have that amount to 'lend' to EE for their inefficiences.

Do not go to EE unless able to get fibre as the speed is terrible. BT engineering called out to fault find and there was no fault EE set the rate low. Rate reset but two days later guess what rate reduced again. Very polite customer service most of the time although this will not help you get acceptable broadband. Please do not risk EE. Three years with SKY without problems why why did I do this.

Absolutely useless company, broadband was slow when it was working, and then for no reason at all the connection got cut off and we were told it would be at least three weeks until we would be reconnected, despite it being entirely EE's fault we had been cut off. Avoid this company, not worth wasting your time with them

The reviews on this website pretty much sum up ee broadband; probably the worst customer service I've experienced with rudeness and indifference seemingly scripted in. Internet throttling at peak times, random charging for phone calls..and refusing even to disconnect the service and charging you through the wallet for all of this..call centre? If they dont agree with you, they cut you off...my sage and chastened advice? Go elsewhere..

Just switched from the appalling TalkTalk to EE. Fantastic customer service , I explained I need phone and fast broad band speeds which have been achieved without fuss or palaver!
No idea why so many bad reviews on here, I guess those who complain do so the loudest! I have nothing but praise for EE......but don't get me started on TalkTalk!!!!!

Utterly shocking service. For well over a month now I've been getting broadband at the painful stagger rather than a healthy trot, and I've had to endure the horrors of EE's dire customer service four times. Every time I call I get a chippy, patronising voice on the phone who repeats the same excuses as the previous one, and then tells me that they will call me back. They never do. I experienced faster, more reliable internet on my dial-up modem ten years ago. Whenever I call up their "helpdesk" and hear the little voiceover saying how EE is the UK's "fastest, most reliable network" I have to restrain the urge to laugh bitterly. I'm heartily sick of having to deal with these chumps, and I'll be ditching them as soon as I've identified an alternate provider.
