What can I say? If you are thinking of getting EE broadband, think again. The service is appalling and unreliable: sometimes, very rarely, it will work but almost all the time speeds will go up and down. Not my idea of good service. Save yourself from the many hours I spent turning my router off and on and don't make the mistake I, and many other people, have made.

Avoid like the black plague. Slow speeds, constantly dropping connection which inhabited me from sending files, very poor customer service who asked me to disconnect my landland to help the broadband work. II felt like I wasted so much of my time trying to fix the broadband that I actually cut my contract short short and lost money for a service they never gave me. I'm now on Virgin fibre optic and I can't fault it. Problem solved.

Absolute rubbish! Broadband buffers all the time, impossible to watch a film. Customer service in Pakistan is diabolical, they lie saying the new settings need time to adjust. I had talk talk in a remote area before moving here, with no problems. Will be leaving ASAP

Was once a good broadband service so renewed an 18 month contract. Speeds went from a reliable 38mb to a variable 0-20mb. Guaranteed speed was 19mb. Every time you call customer services you have a 2 hour on hold wait and half the time when you get through they hang up without saying a word. All they ever did was to reset my router which never worked and made me spend hours reconnecting every smart home device. Never got any money back for the guaranteed speed being below the minimum. When I got the email saying my contract was coming to an end I thought FINALLY and have just switched to BT..... Yes EE is BT but £10 a month cheaper and higher minimum speed. EE got the final kick in of course by charging me £13 for leaving the contract 5 days early..... NEVER EVER AGAIN. Broadband with BT is amazing so far I can even watch 4k stuff now while the kids are playing PlayStation online

We moved house and after market review I decided to go with EE broadband 72mb. Price was all right and there was £100 gift card and extra 5GB per month on my wife's mobile allowance. When activation day arrived we received message that line is live. But there was no internet nor signal on landline. We rang helpline and very helpful Andrew went trough all the steps to find a problem, it was phone line. Next day we had a visit from engineer and he fixed phone line, it was cut. But there was still no internet, so I rang to help line and very lovely girl helped us. She gave my wife free 10GB to use on mobile phone and free first month for broadband to compensate for our inconvenience. Next day second engineer came out and fixed/activated our broadband. Happy days. Very satisfied with customer service and speed of problem fixing. And broadband is fast, average 4-5mb/s download
    speed on torrents(max >8mb/s). Recommended.

Until recently I've been satisfied with my Orange/EE broadband service. 3 weeks ago I was averaging 17.5Mbps as I am quite close to the exchange. Then my connection started dropping randomly and reconnecting. The fault was at the exchange plus a new cable and main socket installed at home. The connection is now stable but I am getting 11Mbps. I know this more than some but less than I am paying for. EE tech said I should be getting between 14 & 18, but they failed to restore this or explain why, they just keep fobbing me off. All-in-all I've called 17 times and spent over 200 minutes on the phone trying to sort this. Their non-UK based tech support customer service is terrible, they don't listen and clearly read from a script, I also had to repeat my issue every time I called. I would recommend you stay away from EE, appalling service!

Over 3 weeks I've been trying to get them to sort out the broadband. Its fine for about a minute, then the speed drops to nothing and stays like that til you restart the download. They told me they have booked engineers 3 times and they have never turned up. The first 2 times there is no evidence on my file as having booked one - so they were lying. You phone up to cancel and they pass you on to the faults department. Its the faults department that is making me want to leave. Cancelling the direct debit as they are worse than useless

We bought the 38mb/s download & 10mb/s upload package from EE and 1 month after the installation date, have only 15mb/s download and 6mb/s upload. We have also had no working phoneline for the entire duration, 1 week delayed installation, intermittent access and several days with no service at all. Avoid EE and Openreach.

As many other reviewers on here have said, EE broadband is awful. Foe example, if you're trying to watch a music video on youtube it will usually default to lowest available playback quality and even so will usually have to pause two or three times during playback to buffer for an average 4 minute track. Download speeds vary and are inevitably so slow as to be unusable at night, though they will occasionally reach 5Mb/s (according to windows) at random times of day and night, at best. But that is, of course, if you can actually connect in the first place to the box EE give you. Probably 50% of the time it doesn't even appear in your list of available networks (when using wireless, which is the only practical option for me). So there is the game of constantly re-setting the box until it decides to reappear. Some people on here have said EE is like going back to dial-up; I would say EE 'broadband' is worse than dial up - though slow, dial-up was more reliable than this crap. If you're thinking about EE as a broadband provider - don't.

I had a near miss with this company! Beware when you sign up! You appear to be in "their area", then suddenly, when activation becomes nearer, you are out, your broadband is no more unlimited but capped at 20GB per month, plus various £ 10s here and there on top of your package. My first experience with them was in the spring this year when I went to the EE shop to buy a dongle as my phone+internet were down. There I was promptly informed of their fabulous deals on home broadband packages. As my contract with Bt is coming to an end, I went back to have more information. And I check on the net: yes, I was entitled to their broadband, not the fastest, but I know it is not very fast where I live anyway. I rang up their sale dept and I found a very nice guy who gave me an even cheaper deal. This was 2 weeks ago. But the day after I tripped over this website and alarm bells started ringing seeing all the bad reviews. I rang them up and they reassusered me they have been voted the best by Which magazine. Customer servise seemed very nice. However last tuesday I received their "welcome pack" and again I was very alarmed as I read - in the tiniest little print, at the very bottom of the letter, that what I was getting was not unlimited but capped at 2oGB; plus various other fee. Again I called and the pre-live broad.b even sent an email confirming what I was getting was totally unlimited. Thursday 4th the router turned up. And the progress of my order on line started to go backwards: there appeared to be "a slight problem" which Saturday at about midnight became "a hiccup". Sunday (yesterday) I called them first thing in the morning. well, they had a system problem. I tried again in the afternoon: I was informed that - after almost 2 weeks - they realized I wasn't living in one of their areas after all. And my unlimited internet was - in fact - limited to a 20GB monthly allowance. Then there were few other fees to be paid as well, Therefore I ordered the chap I was speaking to cancel my order immediately as I was still in my 14 days cooling off period. Just on time. Had I waited today it would have been a total disaster, I would have been stucked with these con people for the next year! However my order has been cancelled, I hope they do not take any money from my account (they said I don't owe them a penny - how generous!) What am I waiting now is to receive their silver envelope so I can get rid of their bright box.

This is the worst ever broadband. Avoid it at all cost. As a reliable customer of over 6 years, I moved house and had to wait over a month to get an active line. I was then offered a month's discount for the inconvenience. I noticed my service was cancelled by EE for being in arrears of £2. How the £2 arrears was generated I have no clue as I was meant to have a month's discount and had a direct debit set up.

My account was terminated completely and was asked to set up a new 12-month contract for something I wasn't responsible for. I'm glad I'm rid of EE. NEVER AGAIN.

They are a bunch of liars. Router Packed in. 2 Agents assured me I would have a replacement by 22.12.17 - nothing! Complained to discover they never dispatched a replacement. New Agent profusely apologised and said he would dispatch immediately. He also lied. Then got tracking number which you can’t check anywhere online and when there is still no router and I call to chase, I’m told it was in late dispatch and I should receive “tomorrow”
I am switching if this package does not arrive tomorrow!

Do not go with EE for mobile or broadband
Arrogant, liars and Indian call centre operatives who cut you off because they don't want to do any work.
Also, when you email the complaints link, they send an email back telling you to phone their technical helpline. Obviously they do not read the emails if they did they would know that the complaint is about the technical team.
Slow, 30 mins for a page to download, 1 hour calls to tech team with no resolution. I am now paying for a service that i can't use and they will not call me back or make any attempt to fix it. I just keep getting emails that are clearly stock responses and do not address the problem.
I have now written a letter as that is quicker and less stressful than dealing with overseas call centres and stupid long phone calls. I am now going to stop the direct debit and let them take me through the courts if this problem is not resolved within 7 days. I am not prepared to pay for a service that i cannot use.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to review your customer service, but following my experience, earlier today, I feel compelled to commend the young man (Ben) who went out if his way to help me with my broadband connection and mobile phone problem. He was very patient with my technical ignorance, and talked me through his instructions to try and rectify the problem. He showed compassion when I explained the importance of my need for communication, following a very close family bereavement, and went out of his way to ensure that service was resumed. The young man is a credit to your company and deserves recognition. Thankyou so much.

Our EE broadband package started of great. We paid an upfront charge of £187 between 2, and our monthly bill was £1.85 a month for the next 12 months. Internet speed was good and there was generally no problems with our service.

When our cotract was 1 month from expiring, I got a call from a women from EE asking what our next step was, since our contract was due to end. I asked to keep the bills the same price if I agreed to continue using their service. All was fine.

The next year contract ended and I got no phone call, and my bills soared to £21.85 a month, then up to £28.45 a month. I called up to ask what was going on and the man on the phone said my contract had ended so they started charging me normal rate, which is of course a very uncompetitive monthly price.

Now ,the manb said EE do not call customers when contract ended, which of course was not true. This is EE's was of justifying charging customers very high monthly rates without notifying them.

I asked what deal I can get and they said the terms and conditions had changed and they only do 18 month contracts, to which I wasn't notified. They asked for a £300 up front cost so that my bills would go back to £2.85 a month.

I terminated my contract. And got charged another month for my troubles.

I can imagine there is many other providers that offer better services and better prices.

Asked Plusnet to add a new router to our house such that we'd have two separate wi-fi's. They said that was fine but proceeded to unplug our existing WiFi and not supply us with a new one. When they finally did supply us with one WiFi it was unreliable and overall very poor. Awful.

Been with EE Since their broadband started off with orange. Standard broadband was fine for first year and a half then issues arrose from what was only diagnosed as "a shine on the line from outside environment " after putting up with no use of Wi-Fi, broadband dropping in and out every couple minutes we had enough of paying for something we can't use and using all our mobile data up, we called EE again and released from contract with no charges No hassle, no issues with leaving, apologised and very helpful.
I find that now the EE customer service is back in UK & IRE problems get sorted where as before with the overseas call centres, calls were put on hold for over 30 minutes (in hope u would hang up) promises of call backs that never happened and resoloution to your complaint didn't even exist. Now it gets sorted. That I'm pleased with that we get stuff sorted.

DO NOT PURCHASE A BROAD BAND PACKAGE from EE. There should be a health warning attached to this service. Its takes 40 mins to get through customer services and I contacted them on a few occasions, as the speed is shocking. If you want to watch a movie on line then you are going to have problems, welcome back to the early 90,s where broad band was slow as a snail and the customer services is even worst.
