The worst customer service I've ever received. Tried to switch to their broadband and they've messed up the order twice, I've been lied to by their technical team, nobody seems to know what's going on and now I'm having to go a month without broadband just to see the back of them. Avoid.

Apparently, if there's a fault with your broadband you need to call them every day (and be on the phone with their Tech support over 1 hour) to claim that the service is not satisfactory.
Ass many ISPs, all good when there are no problems, just HELL when anything goes wrong. AVOID THEM.

Just moved to Plusnet with no problems whatsoever. Broadband transferred a few days ago with phone to follow soon. Now EE have sent an email "We have closed your second line service as requested however you can continue to enjoy EE broadband as usual.Best Regards
EE Broadband Team" Erm how can I continue to enjoy their broadband when I don't have it! Very confused.

An absolute shower, their call center personnel are just there to delay things and seem very reluctant to escalate customer problems that they cannot resolve. Their disconnection staff are unhelpful bordering on rude.
Join them at your peril and watch your blood pressure rise. If it were possible to give a no star rating I would.

WORST BROADBAND EVER.
Terrible, slow awful internet. Always cutting out and stopping altogether.
Patronising unhelpful technical assistants.
Wouldn't ever go back to these amateurs ever again.
Even submitting this review was a struggle on their pathetic connection.

How do i describe my experience with EE. Here's and example, it took me ten minutes to get to the point of writing this review. loading this webpage with my internet speed was outraging. We will contact EE and they will make in just bearable for a few days, but then after those few days of barely average internet have passed it goes back to its frustrating slow self. I am completely sick of this.

Switched across to EE a year ago as I had my mobile with them.
Positives:
+ Price was good at the time
Negatives:
- Customer service is poor. I had to call twice for a mac code today. Second time took 25 mins mostly on hold and the cust retention team effectively told me I was lying about having called earlier in the year about broadband speed!
- Struggled to get 2mb speeds when TalkTalk were usually 5-6mb.
- The router was poor as well, couldn't get reception one room across unless the door was open.
Everyone makes mistakes, but don't call your customers a liar!

Where do i start?
Service activated but no TV box.
Rubbish website, always confusing the mobile with the BB account.
101 different login id's, none of which seem to work properly.
No customer service to speak of at 23:00 not even, a chat line.
Child protection settings - rubbish.
Switched from TalkTalk for better priced deal. Regrets!!!

Worked out of the box when delivered back in Nov 2014 cant complain about speed as getting 13MBS compared with 1.5MBS before upgrade
Strangely BroadBand username and password settings bore no relation to those on the card in the box...It worked so I left it alone..
Stopped working monday evening and was unable to get through to customer services on Tuesday before travelling to Europe
Back today and spent an 45 mins in an EE shop trying to contact Tech support...No answer again
My son found some info on the net so we logged into the router and changed the Broadband user name and paswword to the ones on the card..Didnt work
Bit of messing around with the username and it finally accepted it with the suffix @fs .....
Can only assume the Router was setup under a default account IE Not mine...EE discovered this and killed it....
This is poor service especially when you cant even talk to someone...
Dont even think about using EE for home Broadband unless you are VERY Technically confident....Im no expert but do this for a living....

I'm a very patient person, but EE's customer service is terrible. Received my router, confirmation letters about a week ago. Have only just received notice that, our order has been cancelled... No explanation, now we've been told we'll need to pay an additional fee to get a line installed and that it'll take another 10 WORKING days (two full weeks). We've been offered no help and no explanation. You really do pay for what you get...

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. Do not use this company, broadband is awful connection drops out all the time. Customer services are utterly useless and just for you off with rubbish. I was even told the problem is with my laptop!!!!! When you do get a connection it is appallingly slow, worse than dial up. Plus you pay a fortune to ring them and have to wait ages to get through. Pay more and go with a company that actually cares!!

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Possibly the WORST customer service experience ever received. Very poor communication skills to new and existing customers with their initial offers and then additional charges everywhere which they never tell you over the phone. You then call to rectify MANY TIMES of which you are always assured its sorted only to find the following month you are charged at rates your not expecting!! Tried to leave as I though a 14 day trial period should start from when your ACTUALLY have the product to use only to find that due to having to wait 3-4 weeks for the broadband to be activated actually counts to your trial period....... work that one out?!?!?!?!?
Just literally waiting for the next thing to have to waste my time on the phone to them about the next c$*k up they make.
To top it all off, the actual product of the broadband is very poor quality and very slow.
As soon as my 12 month contract is up, I'm off!!! They couldn't give it away to me if they tried!!!
DREADFUL BROADBAND PROVIDER AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Our EE broadband ranges from adequate to incredibly slow. Customer service is poor. When I reported slow speeds they ran a test between midnight and 10am and informed me the speed was good.

Have a standard line and Speed varies between 0.1mb and 8mb. Very volatile. Can't watch HD streaming video, SD video constantly buffers, even vpns drop on it due to connectivity issues.
Without a good 4g mobile connection I can swap to it would be a nightmare. Now I see why that's part of the package.
Agent Promised me a £50 compensation for swapping from BT early. Despite having jumped through the numerous hoops to the quality, it took 5 calls to get money back over 5 months. Wanted to give me a credit even after initially stating it was a refund.
Very poor broadband & service overall.
Would not recommend.

Customer service is always helpful even though i think sometimes they are a bit overwhelmed with complaints. Most of them sound Scottish. So i have to really listen to understand some of their words. Heck they probably do the same with my New Yorker accent.
I'm currently on 12 month broadband contract, I'm satisfied with the speed, I've got 6 devices using WiFi simultaneously without any problems.

If I could give negative stars, I would.
Being with EE is like pulling teeth. It's like a full time job except you have to pay them. In short - it's excruciating.
Speed is atrocious. Router drops connection at almost the exact same time every day. Sometimes it stays down for days. Customer support says nothing is wrong. Well, they're wrong.
Of course, they're more than happy to keep taking our money, even though they provide no service whatsoever, other than an obnoxious flashing yellow light.
If I could eradicate one thing from this earth, it would be EE. They are toxic. Do yourself a favour and avoid them. Avoid a lifetime of hardship and stress. It just isn't worth it.

Connection just drops randomly, usually at night when we need to use it most. EE of course say there's absolutely nothing wrong, sometimes they'll send us a new router which doesn't help, because the problem is obviously on their end.
I honestly cannot comprehend the stupidity of these people, though it feels more like malice at this point.
If you are reading this, AVOID EE!!
I repeat - AVOID EE!
They are the worst isp in the entire world. I'm barely 25, yet I'm already turning grey because these people are stressing me out so much. Daylight robbery. These people are nothing short of criminals.
To summarise: EE are the worst isp in the world. Avoid them like the plague.

Router doesn't stay connected for more than half an hour max, the majority of time it's down. I honestly don't know what I'm paying for since EE don't provide any actual service other than a stupid annoying yellow light. Customer service told us it's because the router is too close to other electronic devices, when it isn't. It's got its own corner of the room.
So if you want to pay £35 a month plus line rental for a blinking yellow light then go ahead, but you won't get anything more out of it.
I've been with EE for years, unfortunately they're my only option in this backwards, remote area. The routers never last more than a few months without ceasing to work, but at least they replace them for free.
I just want to go online, to use the internet like everyone else, but as long as I'm stuck with EE I don't see that happening anytime soon :(

AVOID!!!!
Worst customer service
Service does not work
Sent engineer to fix the problem but it was all due to the line exchange as I explained over the phone to the support team. It took the engineer over 4 days to make an appointmnent.
They now sending me a bill but we have so far never been able to use their broadband since it never worked. So what is this bill about? I called them and surprise! their computer is down at the moment.
Never again will I use EE !!!

Please stay away from EE fibre broad band unless you only use your internet for paying bills online or to book tickets. My speed consistently falls between 2-3 MB for most of the day and only picks up Fibre speed for few hours after 1 am. I cannot use You tube , play online or use my smart TV.
Please avoid unless you are happy to pay 20 quid a month for a dial up internet.

Wireless connections are throttled can't even reach 1 Mb and I'm paying for the 2nd highest tier (top tier not available in my location). The customer service is generally nice but do not purchase this broadband as it a bad quality product. Suggest NOW TV as a provider as its far superior. (I have personally only experience 2 providers)

They lost my house telephone number during the porting and had to reallocate me a new number!!!
Had EE broadband since March 2014, all was ok until June 2014, when the average download speed would often drop to around 1 Mbps, or just no connection at all. The connection would slowto a crawl and timeout every 5 minutes, which made browsing impossible.
Contacted EE at least 20 times about it and they alway said to monitor connection.7 months on, they now decidethat it is best to send an engineer out, as I am nearing the end of my contract and want to cancel.
my advise is to stay well clear. JOKERS

Great customer service!
I recently terminated my new housemate's EE broadband from her old house as her English isn't very strong and this has to be done over the phone. (This is why I can only rate customer service).
The EE guy first informed me that customers should phone up exactly two weeks before they want it terminated and there would be a deactivation fee if no one was taking over the line. After relaying this to my friend he must of he must of overheard us discussing how we were going to arrange the phone call or something because he then said he was feeling nice and dropped the deactivation fee, and also cancelled the broadband there and then without an early cancellation fee (the contract was up in November sometime.) I wasn't pushy or angry or anything, I think he must of genuinely just wanted to make our life easier. It made my day and it wasn't even my broadband!
Definitely makes a change from Virgin Media who are trying to charge me a £170 early cancellation fee saying that they deleted the phone recordings where I negotiated freezing the contract instead of early cancellation. What makes it worse is that I know someone who works at a call centre who has told me they've lied because all phone calls have to be saved by law!
I know this is an EE review page but I thought I'd show the difference in what good customer service can do (£198 difference to be exact!).

If you value any kind of customer service then don't join EE, we have had an intermittent service for the 7 months since we were convinced to join them having got mobile through them. the speeds you will get will not be anything like promised, the customer service and technical teams are to be blunt completely inept, rude or both. I have had to call them almost weekly to get the broadband working, they excel at empty platitudes and apologies without actually resolving anything so we have cancelled and gone to BT on the same line but without any of the difficulties.

Dire Broadband. No words can describe how bad EE is. Download speed is so so slow it is unbelievable. I have complained so many times and all I get is that the area is bad and I should upgrade to Fibre (for another increase in price of course). Problem is that I have had 3 other broadband providers before EE and I only went to EE because they promised the same download speed at a cheaper price. LIES!!! how can other providers give me a good speed but EE cannot and the price has gone up mid contract. This is a scam company. Do Not Do Business with Them!!!

I used BT for my fibre optic service and always had a download speed of 74 mbps I changed to EE due to a cheaper deal, even though I know EE is owned by BT. After a month I checked my speed to find it was at a maximum of 54mbps. I spoke to EE’s office in Plymouth and after a while I was told even though my fibre was able to handle 100mbps that even they couldn’t tell me why I was not getting 74mbps speed. I have to accept their speed but to be fair to EE I pay a lot less than I paid to BT and up to now I don’t have any issues with EE.

Less than 2mb broadband download.... is not broadband and is not acceptable. But EE think it is just fine and charge for it. Their "Customer Service" people are so immune to criticism that they just cannot care less. So....absolutely dreadful Broadband combined with Non-existent customer care and mid contract price increases = the Worst Broadband Provider in the UK. DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE!!!!

Think we must have paid the few ‘customers’ who have provided a good review on here or they are written by their own staff or something. My experience as most others - dreadful. Switched from BT - No router turned up leaving me without any broadband for 2 weeks as they don’t have any way of sending the equipment faster than 2nd class Royal Mail - I am not joking - ee do not use any courier or even 1st class post - not even when they have royally screwed up your order - you have been warned - and if you complain the response is extremely nonchalant- oh well these things happen I think were the exact words and compensation is a £15 credit for the next bill of the service they have failed to provide. This is a true a true story I had to make special arrangements with my place of work to go into the offices which were closed increasing my risk of contracting covid because ee can’t pay for a courier
