Horrendous experience trying to set-up a broadband account. A undisclosed technical fault, no idea when it will be fixed, 4 agents one of whom is more interested in leaving for her holiday than helping!!!

Early January 2017, we ordered Fibre broadband on moving house. The system was supposed to be up and running by 31.1.2017..... Today is 10th February of the same year and..... We are still waiting for a connection which should be provided by Openreach.
What I find hard is the Lack of communication and rudeness. No communication whatsoever from Openreach. I will be patient for another week and then will cancel the whole thing. DISGUSTED

Do not, under any circumstances, join EE broadband.
It was very unstable, the internet connection kept dropping from the beginning. I decided to leave within 14days clearance day, but they recommended to stay a bit longer because "when you first connect to the service, the lince can be unstable", and it will get better.
Besides, they told me that if it isn't still working within 30days, I can terminate the contract with free of charge.
They sent me an engineer to have a look but he coudnt find anything wrong.

When I called a couple of weeks later (few days before the 30days period) to terminate the service as the internet was still rubbish, they said that I didn't call to try and resolve the issue enough, the engineer couldn't find any technical issue, I still have few days left up to the 30 days period, I will have to keep calling the technical department and try to resolve "technical" issue. This meaning, if they can't find any technical problem, even though the internet isn't working properly, I cannot terminate the contract!
CROOK!!! it was my fault that I didn't properly research. I chose to pay 180 pounds and terminate the contract.

For decent people who are sensible enough to do bit of research before committing to 12months contract, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go with EE!!

I have nothing good to say about this company. They are complete money grabbers stay well clear. The apps and website is continually faulty . Overpriced for very poor service . They are disloyal to their loyal customers , since I've been with them twice they screwed me over and put me out of pocket unnecessarily . Their duty of care to their customers is poor. And I look forward to the day my contract ends with them .

I would never recommend EE to anyone, nothing but a joke. There call centres aren't much help either. There told me I had anytime calls and when I came to check my bill online it said I had ranked a 61.00 call charge up only to be told I was on weekend calls only. I'd say well clear, Rip Off Merchants

I used to be an Orange broadband customer and stayed with them when they merged with EE. Absolutely rubbish service. Had broadband issues last year and was without the internet for a couple of weeks and now been without internet for about a month, rubbish customer service, you speak to no-one twice and when you do eventually get through you have to go through the same questions over and over again. How long does it take to test the lines? I am going to fight for compensation and then I am off! Avoid EE at all costs! Do not look after their loyal customers!

    I am a new customer with ee/bt
I was sent a router and a hybred connect box .
The information given to me was totally misleading as I was sent these devices until an engineer arrives in 2 weeks. When I couldn't connect to the Internet I was told that the router wasn't activated and none of my devices will connect to the hybred so far I give ee/bt 0 out of 10 for misleading me and 0 out of 10 for the equipment sent ..proberbly going to cancel altogether and find a provider who will not mislead me with wrong or bad information...not impressed

I'm not sure if this is the right place to review your customer service, but following my experience, earlier today, I feel compelled to commend the young man (Ben) who went out if his way to help me with my broadband connection and mobile phone problem. He was very patient with my technical ignorance, and talked me through his instructions to try and rectify the problem. He showed compassion when I explained the importance of my need for communication, following a very close family bereavement, and went out of his way to ensure that service was resumed. The young man is a credit to your company and deserves recognition. Thankyou so much.

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL. Have been with TMobile for years and never experienced any problems. In November 2013 I went for an overdue upgrade. My new contract was unexpectedly taken over by this company called EE.I was promised 1,000 free minutes, unlimited texts and very generous internet. After just three weeks, they have changed my direct debit payment date without asking and I have discovered that all my ex fellow TMOBILE customers are now being charged to call me and lose their minutes in doing so. Had I been informed of this when being sold the contract then, obviously, I would never have accepted it....which is precisely WHY I wasn't told. My husband's TMOBILE bill has now DOUBLED and he went way over his minutes as a result of his calls to me. Needless to say that I was completely fobbed off by EE customer services who decided that it wasn't their problem and that my husband had to sort it out with HIS provider! I feel that I have been totally missold this product. I have never read so many terrible reviews from dissatisfied customers regarding one company. I am prepared to pay the fee just to release myself from this dreadful company. Extremely unhelpful, discourteous and allround rude call centre operatives (British! )Buyer beware of the upbeat contract seller as, once they have you in the palm of their hand, they couldn't give a damn about you. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO ENCOUNTER. I can't even give them one star. Awful

EE are absolutely awful, I wish I had searched online to read the other terrible reviews before signing up with them. I signed up at the beginning of September 2014 and as of today in January 2015 4 MONTHS LATER I STILL HAVE NO INTERNET OR PHONE CONNECTION. I have been patient but have finally snapped when the rude woman at the Indian Call Centre said I would have to pay for the engineer to come out since according to their system everything was fine. I pointed out that it was EE who were responsible for setting up the phone/internet line in the first place on the engineer's first visit, and that I have not done anything to it since, I didn't see why I should have to pay. She insisted their computer system said it was working and that it was my fault. Everyone please do not waste your time or money with this company.

I up graded to ee fibre broadband back in Oct 2015 due to slow connection, was all set for cancelling all together but got talked into upgrade. Since then we have had no consistency at all the broadband it is as slow as standard and keeps dropping Wifi is a complete joke. I call the customer nearly every other day to be fobbed of with all sorts of excuses. They say they will ring back within 24 hrs and 3 days later still waiting. Im now on level 2 fault enquiry (4th time on this)and waiting again. A BT engineer friend has stated that there sounds like a fault on the cable from post to house do to the way it drops out (especially when its windy) when I mentioned this to ee they dismissed it stating its my computer...its a bloody brand new gaming rig high spec etc. they then said it could be my lap top, had that tested on my friends BT line and worked perfect infact I was astounded how quick it worked so up yours ee its not my computer or laptop. I can only warn people DO NOT GO WITH EE THEY ARE AS MUCH USE AS A CHOCOLATE FIRE GAURD STAY WELL AWAY

EE does not appear to have sufficient resources to operate a nationwide telecommunications operation. In mid Feb 2015 our phone line and broadband service was cut off following the request of someone who had placed an offer on our house but who had not exchanged contracts with us let alone moved in. It worries deeply that someone other than the account holder is able to instruct EE to cut off an account holder's services. Since mid February I have been in regular contact with EE to try and get the broadband reconnected and our landline number restored. Our original number was replaced yesterday but we still have no broadband despite having been told by an EE representative that it would be reconnected by March 5th. I have just spoken with another representative who tells me I have to place a new order and will not have broadband now until 25th March. Obviously I will now be leaving EE and setting up an account with a competitor. This whole episode has been very stressful. Not having access to the Internet has been very inconvenient. I have also spent a number of hours trying to contact the EE help desk and when finally connected to an individual the lines to the team in Belfast are so bad you can hardly understand what is being said. Notes are not kept on actions from each call which has meant I have had to explain my situation every time I call. The service offered is totally unacceptable.

I was told that ee would facilitate everything to make my move from BT to EE easy and pain free.Sadly it's been anything but. After 2 months and 3 missed connection dates finally they worked out they couldn't provide the fibre optic package I'd been sold!customer service is shocking, I've been on hold for up to 2 hours. If you phone to take out broadband the call is answered immediately, not if you phone to ask about your installation.
If you get cut off, due to the poor EE signal on my phone, they NEVER call you back. It's now 3 months, still no broadband and they haven't even contacted me to advise/discuss my new billing on non fibre optic...what a shambles. I have no confidence that they will connect me on the 2nd...only 3 months after they disconnected me from BT!! Maybe less money spent on Kevin Bacon and more on staff and their training. Appauling doesn't even begin to cover it.

I go to apply for a phone via ee website, i see that photo id is required, i do not own photo id therefore i dont go ahead. I receive call from ee peesuading me to go ahead and am "guarunteed no photo id will be required by dpd if delivered to somewhere other than home" by both advisors. Pharmacy delivered to refuse to give me phone. Dpd advise they always need photo id. I phone ee and they advise this is wrong. Back and fourth 55 phone calls on my partners minutes, getting nowhere. Told to go to ee shop to cancel contract and reorder. Went to ee shop, tikd cancelled and to go back in 24 hours, this happed 4 times, different issue everytime, spent around 40 quid travelling to different town to ee shops. In mean time i get bill take out for original contract and get bank charge for it. Eventually manager at ee arranged to get phone collected, advised it has to go back to england b3fore i get it despite fact i live 2 mins from pharmacy. Takes 2 weeks for phone to come. Had to phone again to get it sent out, advised managet was looking into credit my account to compensate all my costs and partners phone bill. Phone comes, not working, advised wrong sim in phone and to wait 254 hours for it to start working. Week later mobile internet stops worki g for days, advised need laptop to get it working. Ee account shows 2 months of phone bill when ive had phone gor just 10 days. Then i see "payment received" and presume ee have credited account like they said. I buy apps etc thinking well i can afford it since ee paid my first bill. Days later 105 pounds comes out my account. Im now chared almost 3 nonths bills for 10 days of use. Different info literally everytime i.speak to ee. This has been an absolute nightmare, unprepared for this dd coming out ad payment receibed message on screen and presumed.ee has vleared it with this apparant compenaation credit. Anothet bank charge now and dont have access to the money that was in my account. What is going on!!!! I havent even typed half the terrible and incompetency ive had on yhe phone and in store!

Don't go near this company, worst customer service, like to pass the blame to BT.

You need deep pockets to get basic internet/landline with these guys, the last 10 weeks after paying for service or no service they've cost me at least £125+

Everything stopped working in March 2017 after numerous calls far to many to recall, many hours being put on hold false promises of call backs, accusations from call centre staff its user error.

Eventually BT engineers sent for, apprentice arrived, nothing he could do apart to call for more experienced engineer, who caused much amusement walking up and down road for 4 hours followed by spraying square on pavement and writing BT followed by buggering off for 10 days.

Road crew then appear and dig hole of Calcutta, then inform they've dug wrong area up and have to fill in and get new planning permission to dig new hole (now mid May).

Approx week later reappear and dig up in exact same spot, mention water has damaged line, before you can blink hole filled in and like Houdini disappeared without checking line.

Telephone now reconnected with lovely crackle, internet running like the good old days of dial up, cannot stream any films - which have been paying for all along.

Lucy from EE has now been allocated case and constantly rings and likes to apologize - a lot! Told her really not happy on numerous times and 2 months has now passed. Speeds tests take place, really lose will to live, now told BT have capped the line and we are potentially liable to pay £187 for another engineer to come out, I pointed out to her that we would not pay a penny and would get the omnibusman involved.

Booked day off from work as assured by Lucy would arrived between 1 & 6pm, late afternoon call from BT unable to make it. Following day another apprentice rocks up who informs no need for him to make house call as EE have full access to uncap line from there side.

Now its the 1st June, Lucy has just rung to find out where we are at. Explained to her we now have speed to stream films but if on internet and phone rings it throws you off. Lucy feels this is OK and has now closed the case.

I enquired about compensation and have been offered £22.25, are they for real I've been made to sign up for wireless dongle and was assured once resolved account would be cancelled and full reimbursement for last couple of months.

I explained to Lucy, this was unacceptable and we would be moving to another provider, her response was 'I don't blame you'

Waste of time, go with any other provider but for gods sake avoid EE at all costs!

Shocking, always has been! Very poor quality broadband - slow and unreliable. Keeps dropping out, Recommend avoiding them - the cheap packages will cause you stress and hours on the phone trying to sort, then it's always the same having to run line tests etc and magically a few days later the service improves. Albeit until the next Time....
Currently sat for 30 mins on hold trying to sort out so what better time than to write a review!

Poorest service ever, I moved from Sky to EE because I upgraded my mobile package and was convinced signing up to EE broadband was cheaper with happy days ahead. If used BT and Sky in the past 10yrs and I've had NO outage with BT and maybe 2 outages with Sky in that time.
Firstly, the call centre in India is a nightmare, as they are limited in their assistance, secondly the service is ridiculously poor. They promised 7mbps and my speed fluctuates between 1 and 2.5 mbps. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP wit EE. they are the worst serivce out there.

Biggest nightmare!!in order to save few pounds in the Broadband and phone package they offered, I applied for it, with no information at all they replace my TalkTalk phone number without notice, and after a lot of waiting in phone queues and explaining to half a dozen people that I did not have a router for broadband, they informed me that they will not provide me broadband because allegedly, I got bad credit with Orange, a company I never have business with. The customer service team is the worst I ever have to deal with.

I have moved houses a year ago and my isp at my previous property was plus net, due to location I was never able to have fiber and had regular ads listed but the speeds were great 15-17 mbs. After move I decided to try a different provider BT, I must say the speed wasn't as good as plus net but it was acceptable for 2 people house hold. After a year my contract has expired and yet again I have changed isp, because bts customer service is just... lacking? Anyway I got an ee contract for 18 month. Now I feel like I'm a mug! The speed is very low, higher than the guaranteed speed of 2 mbs, but still low for 21 century! Connection constantly drops to the point that I'm not able to stream movies anymore. Today I'm going to try to get in touch with ee yet again after doing all sorts of troubleshooting last night (some of them are just ridiculous). In short, never get ee's adsl. It is simply rubbish and I'm now stuck with them for another 17 month.

I AM NOT PREPARED TO GIVE ANY PART OF THIS SERVICE EVEN ONE STAR. It justifies minus ten stars. In my whole IT experience I have never known such bad download speeds that make using the internet impossible. Quite simply either EE are utterly inept....ergo.... they should not be selling an ISP package... OR.... they know exactly what they are doing and this is a fraud scam. They deliberately squeeze the Mbps downloads. There is no third way. No one can receive the amount of complaints for this garbage and not be able to do anything about it. EE is a SCAM!!!!

Very bad service. Very poor broadband, cuts off continuously, especially in the evenings, to the point it can't even load the pages, let alone allow a video conversation.
Then told I am in contract with the phone line, when I was told I was in contact just for the broadband and the fee would have been substantially less. Very poor service, avoid.

Rubbish phone, broadband and customer service! The 'help' desk just asked me to remove the front of the white plastic BT phone box and when I removed it I noticed a wire was loose. I was then informed they would charge me £60 for any broken wiring etc!! I said "you told me to do it! I'm not paying anything - I'll cancel the direct debit and you can sue me" at which point I was told I wouldn't have to pay anything! Classic. All in all, I've been with EE broadband for almost 7 months and can say that they're actually worse than Tiscali (which I never thought could be possible) with the worst broadband I have ever experienced - I've been without the internet for all last night and it's been intermittent this morning. It's not the first time it's happened either. Don't bother with EE and going for the cheap option, I will go straight back to Sky in January and return to a service that never failed once.

I once heard an expression about someone who was so trying he had "hit rock bottom but just kept digging". It is my feeling that if EE hired that guy he could be the smartest guy there. Unfortunately zero stars are the least I can give here but if it was an option I'd be about a minus 4 average. Do not ever contact or consider contacting this company. If I was to relate here our experience, though technically we never used them, you would think I was exaggerating. Not so. Even attempting to use EE has proven to be an hilariously disastrous experience. If you have an abundance of time, patience and a curious sense of humour (plus you don't actually want broadband) please disrefard my advice. In summary, a bunch of lesser known clowns who will reduce you to tears.

Would not waste your time with EE they are a joke seriously when it comes to Mobile Phones no problems at all I have a contact with them never had any issues with Mobile, I took out WIFI with them as I thought I could have Mobile + WIFI all in one bill nice and convenient and it was the worst thing I ever done. When I enquired over the phone about the WIFI I told her the WIFI will be used for gaming with a Playstation 4 (Older Version) and watching/streaming Netflix etc she promised me I would not have any issues connecting to my Console so I took it out had issues straight after it went live my router was downstairs and could not even connect my phone to my WIFI from one floor up! They told be to buy a WIFI booster £25 and they would take it off my bill I reluctantly said ok bought it and that still did not work! I said I would like to cancel the contract as I was promised services and they were not delivered then 3 weeks later I receive a bill for £300 rung them up and complained there was nothing they could do as "the debt was sold to a collection agency" well jokes on them when I said I will pay a £1 a week/ Dont waste your time with EE they know about phones and not much else.

I attempted without success to transfer my existing Sky broadband to EE. This has cost me dearly both in lost time (and fruitless phone calls), great inconvenience and loss in income. I am now without broadband and using my mobile phone (hence the potential typos). EE customer services response was that they could they not guarantee a date when my new service would be activated a few hours after my Sky broadband was switched off. As a result I have asked Sky to reinstate my broadband back with them. Although Sky may be more expensive, at least I am getting the service I pay for (and to be fair have I never had any issues with, lesson learned!). My advice is not to use EE, and do not be fooled by their advertising campaign (and Kevin Bacon, who I am sure is getting paid a fortune and probably doesn't even use EE or if he does, hasn't got even 2G coverage ... great endorsement Kev). EE are too unreliable, are less than sympathetic when problems arise ...I was told to go to a library), are unlikely to rectify any issues (apparently it was not their fault, but a BT Openreach engineer), and are extremely difficult to "complain" to (a nice tactic). A website dedicated to their "outstanding" customer service is available, which I wish I had read beforehand; http://eecomplaints.co.uk. To have a website dedicated just to complaining about one company should ring alarm bells. You have been warned.

Worst customer service ever, internet has gone down for at least a week pretty much every month since we signed up, huge delays on installation and staff have lied to ys over the phone along side massive amounts of time spent on hold. AVOID.
