Had the service about a year and it’s never really worked well. I use a network extender to try to generate a strong signal but still drops in and out .
    I won’t be renewing.

I changed provider because of the terrible customer service from my previous provider. NOW broadband are definitely better customer service wise but when streaming TV or music the broadband constantly drops out for seconds only but causes buffering, which was not a problem with previous supplier

Appalling customer service. We've had several issues with NowBroadband over the past year. The reach of the signal is absolutely terrible, we've had to rearrange the entire living room to allow the Wi-fi signal to reach the consoles despite only being four meters away originally. The box continuously turned off and required a reboot. The company has no telephone number stated anywhere on their page. We spent several hours searching up ways to contact them, every number stated on Google was a blank or warned of a £6 charge. Eventually we found a customer only number, concealed at the bottom of the broadband terms and conditions page. However, this number took several attempts to connect to, as the first few tries we were only connected to an echo of ourselves. The live chat is also absolutely useless. A small quantity of their staff are illiterate and impossible to communicate with. Others are entirely incompetent and no help whatsoever. On several occasions I encountered a chat which provided me with no response other than the chat starter of "Hello I'm... to start with can I please take your full name and email address please." followed by no further replies for over ten minutes. Not to mention the account login itself was down for over three days at one point in September, preventing me from accessing my payment details to check the end date of my 12month contract (since they don't contact you to inform you of this). Furthermore, if you try to change your email through your account (which the website states is what you should do), even if you are with nowBroadband only (no connection to nowTV) your email is in fact only changed for nowTV rather than the broadband services. Only reason I am not leaving a 1 star review is because every so often I happened to stumble upon a member of staff who was not only extremely helpful but also went out of their way to help sort out issues which were not caused by themselves but rather by other members of their team.

They have left me without home security as the NOW router is not suitable (too weak) to run system and I should never have been told if would not affect my security system at the time of sale despite me going into detail at the time with the salesman at NOW. The cost to sort this is in the many hundreds. Money I do not have. They have taken no responsibility at all. I’m a single female with a panic button due to previous threats hence the security. I have been fobbed off constantly. The speed is very irregular despite having the most expensive super fast broadband package. I can’t even get NOW TV . Customer service don’t have power to sort. I am vulnerable in my own home, paying through the nose for irregular broadband. and now I am going to have to pay for a specialist to try and sort my security system. Totally appalled with the company. Letter sent to Head Office. No response.

Very disappointed, I was given activation date a week ago! I still haven't got Internet and NOW TV have taken the first payment. They booked an engineer, who never turned up. I called them on the day and apparently they couldn't contact the engineer but promised to get in touch the next day and to rebook am engineer, but I still haven't heard from them. I was meant to have recieved an email. Very disappointed. In this age of technology and working from home, a switchover should be seamless, should it not?

    Please please avoid.

Where do I start. I was meant to go live on the 30 August, and it’s now the 1 December and still my account isn’t live. I’ve had 4 engineer appointments scheduled and 4 times no one turned up, without a phone call or text message saying they couldn’t come. The customer service team is beyond inept. It infuriates me how useless and incompetent they appear to be, I’m just amazed at how such a big company appears to be so amateur.

Please shop elsewhere. There are other providers that will charge slightly more but atleast it’s a better service. Definitely a lesson to not go for the cheapest option. I will definitely be switching my provider when the year is up.

I originally signed up with NOW Broadband as they offered the best value deals, but as I've discovered that comes at a cost. I have no issue with the broadband speeds, but I've had several issues with service drop outs. After line tests they have insisted on having an Engineer access my property at great inconvenience even though the faults have all been at the exchange.
A few weeks ago I received an email telling me another supplier had requested to take over my line. I immediately phoned them and told them this was a mistake and not the case. I was advised they would put a stop on the line transfer and I'd receive an email confirming when this had been done. No email was received, so I called them back again. I was given no explanation as to why the stop hadn't been actioned, but they would deal with it straight away and I was assured my phone line would not be cut off. On Friday my phone line and Broadband were cut off! After numerous phone calls (you have to go through the same set of security questions twice every time and they have a habit of cutting you off when they try and transfer you) I've been told my only option is to sign up as a new customer again - which will take 14 days. Also, my phone number of 26 years has been deleted and I can't have it back! They have accepted they should have actioned the 'stop' on the line transfer but just didn't bother, so tough luck it's too late now!!!!!
I now have no phone and Broadband for at least 2 weeks during our 2nd lockdown in Aberdeen.
Don't be tempted by the cheap deals, they're hopeless!

I moved from Plusnet to NowTV in Feb of this year (2022) but truly regret the decision to cancel the service with Pluset.

I did it simply because I thought all ISPs were more or less the same and more importantly the costs were lower with NowTV which was the main attraction.

I bought a better router than the one that came with the NowTV package which improved the speed. However, speed is not really the issue here - the main problem I have is that the line keeps dropping with frequent outages.

To be honest, I have had enough and will be going back to Plusnet as soon as my contract is over as they are 10x better than Sky's low cost alternative.

For many years I was with Plusnet but decided to switch to Now Broadband last January due to a price incentive. It was a big mistake in my opinion as the service has been comparatively poor with frequent dropouts. I often come home from work to find the Internet down with me having to restart their router (which is awful) to get things up and running again.

Will be leaving NTVB before the end of the contract even if it means losing some money (yes I am that desperate to change!).

In my opinion there is better out there so don't be fooled by price alone.

Non existent customer service as they expect you to jump through hoops before you can possibly if you are lucky speak to anyone!

They are absolutely atrocious so recommend avoid unless you are happy to have slow broadband and to spend ages trying to get to speak to an actual person to resolve any issues that might arise as web chat and emails are completely ignored as are the ratings they ask you to give when you have attempted but failed to contact them!

A nightmare to cancel my account as I was moving houses.
First they told me they couldn't provide me broadband services in my new address despite confirming a few days before they could.
After being more than 1 hour with their customer service in the phone, I was confirmed it was cancelled on July 12th. On August 1st, I was charged again.
I'm right now in the call for another hour to try to close my account for the 2nd time. No trust in their confirmation that they will... no way, according to them, to jump the waiting queue as "the process doesn't allow so". They still keep my card details and charge amount.

It's an abuse, disgusting and a total nightmare to deal with their customer service. This company seems to be interested in their clients only when onboarding. Then, everything is just a pain.

I have never received even close to 40mbps which is well below expectations. When I raised this with their customer service I noted three strange occurrences - a. Their email responses to my queries were always answered by the same individual (strange?) b. within minutes of EVERY one of my email questions my internet connection failed for about 15-30 minutes (too regular to be a coincidence) and c. They maintain that if I change ISP I will lose my landline number??? ALL VERY STRANGE...

NOW TV reports 40Mbps download speed but broadband.co.uk reports 13.06 Mbps. After phoning NOW TV it sped up to 40Mbps on NOW TV and 19MBps on broadband.co.uk .

I dont know where to start first they couldnt install my broadband on time. I lost a 2 weeks of internet from start of my contract and wasnt compensated for the loss.

I couldnt understand why no access to social media, PSN and Microsoft Live.

THEY HAD RESTRICTED ACCESS IN OTHER WORDS SET PARENTAL CONTROLS TO CHILD MODE BY DEFAULT.

This is why I couldnt access certain sites they dont tell you this before signing up.

You would think you would have access to parental control but nope. What they call Broadband Buddy doesnt exist atleast if you try to navigate to it through your NOW broadband account.

I had to go over to the so called community whereby support is provided by their own customers??!!?

You couldnt make this crap up..in any case someone from the community provided a Broadband Buddy link.

Here its is for anyone looking for it:

    help.nowtv.com/article/set-up-and-manage-broadband-buddy

Next problem the link didnt work no matter which web browser (Firefox, Chrome or Edge) or which PC or laptop I used I got the same annoying message time after after.

'Well that didnt go to the plan..please try again later.'

So next step is to give them a call..right ?..except.

THEY INTENTIONALLY HIDE THERE CUSTOMER SUPPORT NUMBER...No joke!

Eventually after going through many web pages I managed to find there customer support number.

Here it is for anyone who is looking for it :

    0800 759 1213

How do I know that they intentionally hide it . Well I posted on their own NOW broadband community in order to help others in the same boat.

The very next day the post was removed !! and I was banned from making any further posts or comments on their community forum.

Now onto the actual phone call once i got through to the support team they were unapologetic and tried to blane me even I told them Ive tried multiple devices and web browsers.

There own community suggests they have Broadband Buddy issues since 2019 yet they still havent sorted it.

The support person put me hold while they looked into it and came back with theres no restrictions or kid mode set on your account and suggested I try and visit facebook.

Fortunately it worked and I now have full access to everything..the point is they blatantly lied. Prior to the phone call I was restricted..they only lifted the restriction after the call and made out I was at fault.

I'm not going to go into the bandwidth problems heres since its been covered by others here but expect to be eractic up and down.

This is my experience with these jokers so far ..yes its cheaper than everyone else at the moment but you get what you pay for.

    Be warned.

Generally not bad, but when my creditcard expired, instead of reaching out in a nice way - they sent aggressive OVERDUE letter, I couldn't update my CC information and then they cut off my broadband, calling them took nearly an hour on the phone most of it on hold.

Switched from John Lewis Broadband as they were closing down their service, which was basically Plusnet branded as John Lewis. Switched to Now Broadband as they offer a month-by-month rolling contract, which was great because I didn't want to be locked into a long-term contract. However, speed, reliability and router performance are all noticeably inferior to JL/Plusnet. TV often freezes and web pages sometimes take an age to load. Then from time to time there's no connection at all, which can be really annoying as I depend on the internet my for work.

The speeds I get are actually quite good but the connection drops on a daily basis. Currently I'm out of contract which is always a way for them to excuse charging more than double for the same service simply because you haven't promised further payments even with the months notice period.

Yet during this time of higher charges the connection has dropped more than normal!

I have been with now broadband for nearly a year, and as my contract was coming to an end,and they were increasing my price from £25 to£40 decided to leave.
I sent them a separate email(no reply) and took the appropriate action 10 working days before the end, I changed to Plusnet, and as expected, everything turned up on time, internet speeds were faster, and the Router was much better spec.
So far so good, until I checked my online banking, only to find a pending charge for £40-97 on my app.
I contacted Resolve, and raised the complaint, which went through and NOW TV replied with apologies, said it was an error, and they would monitor it and get a credit through! That was the 6th July,,I looked at my statement again on the 8th July, and sure enough the £40-97 had been taken out???????
As it is taken off your debit card, not a direct debit, you cannot stop it with any ease,so despite a further two complaints through resolve I still have had no correspondence or refund!
Do NOT use this company(Sky owned)
Their speeds are erratic, their service to customers is to be polite rubbish, and as far as I am aware, the only broadband provider to take it from your debit card rather than DD as all others I have ever dealt with.

I've used many ISP's in the past and work in IT. For some reason I decided to cheap out on broadband and went for NowTV. You definitely get what you pay for. Can't say anything bad about customer service as I've not had need to contact them.

NowTV provide possibly the worst hardware I've ever encountered and make it difficult for you to use 3rd party routers. 3rd party routers have to support DHCP option 61.
Initially the wifi was appalling. If you're suffering poor wifi, invest in a wireless AP or 2.

Also, the router itself. I'm paying for the full high speed and since moving in would get around 30mbps max. Since swapping out the rubbish NowTV unit for a combination of a 10 year old HG612 and an old Mikrotik router I'm seeing speeds of 55mbps download.

NowTV provide the worst kit ever!! Unless you're ok with replacing it all, go with someone else!

I have NOW tv's Fab Fibre broadband with a guaranteed minimum speed of 36mbps. Although they tell me repeatedly that the speeds they are getting are between 28 and 36 the fastest I have ever had coming into the house are 20 (and that only ever intermittently). The usual is between 2 and 18. Rubbish.

If you're looking at NowTV broadband and you're thinking that it's just Sky with a different badge...think again.

They have the worst customer service of any company that I've ever dealt with. If nothing at all goes wrong you might be fine, but if you need help with something you're going to suffer huge frustrations.

For me, the issue was constant issues with my payment details. There is a fault on their system that meant they couldn't seem to keep the details on the account, they kept being wiped off. This resulted in harrassing emails telling me i was overdue payments and having my broadband cut off at one point.

The crazy thing is, whenever they tried to take payments from my account they were able to with no problems what so ever, but for some reason their system just kept deleting my details.

It's hard to explain in a short space of text how dissatisfied I have been with them, so I'll just leave it with this: 4 months into my contract I'm paying £125 to leave early. They're just not worth the ongoing frustrations.

    Totally and utterly annoying service!
Been using this broadband service for a few months now.
Every single day without fail, the middle light of 3 goes from green to orange, meaning whatever I'm doing or using stops!!

I've sent them lots of messages because you can't ring them, they say,do this, do that blah, blah, blah, just like Talk Talk, totally crap.

They just blame the user instead of sending someone to check on it!

I had the same kind of crap with TT and got nothing but excuses from them also.

If I was you, avoid these also, I will be switching as soon as my contract is ending.

overall poor. Broadband doesn't reach all rooms even with extenders (only live in a three bed semi so really shouldn't be a problem). poor speed, apple devices don't work well with it either for some reason,
I would not recommend them and will be leaving as soon as our 12 months contract is up...very soon!

I really wish I didn't enter into this contract, it was the cheapest on offer and I took it. Thinking what difference can there possibly be between the providers?

The price is good, for the deal period only. The router is very poor - you will find yourself wanting to get yourself a new one (£60+). The wireless range is abysmal, doesn't cover even a small 3 bed home with the router in the middle. Want to use it in the garden? Forget it.

However the major problem with Now TV is the connection reliability. It frequently drops out, then you can't connect for another 5-10mins - you spend time at the router, resetting and playing with settings and no change. Then slow speeds for periods of many days.

Don't get me wrong, we had periods of a month with no issues. However over the 12 months we have used Now TV, we have had 10 periods of between 3 and 10 days - with frequent drop outs throughout those times. Along with not being able to connect, and we live in an area where mobile signal is not the best so we rely on it.

I have read many reviews reporting the same issues on connection dropping out. Its not an isolated situation.

Customer service is poor, waiting times on the phone are long. Not particularly helpful when you finally do get through. Problems persist anyway.

I'd say, stay far away. Its better to pay twice as much and get reliable internet than this nightmare.

Go with Plusnet, EE or BT. The first 2 aren't much more expensive and from reviews seem to be far more reliable.

Don't cheap out on your internet, DO NOT USE Now TV - you will regret it when those periods of constant disconnects and poor connection speeds arise - while your waiting the 12 months until you can move without paying a fee.

Terrible service and would avoid at all costs. Swapped to NowBroadband in August 2022 as they offered some attractive deals on their website. The transition from our previous provider left us without broadband for two weeks after the go live date in central London. They actively avoided trying to pay any sort of compensation and left us with a £120 data bill to cover the costs of working from home during that period.

Since then, the connection has dropped three times for more than 6 hours each time. Most recently 12 hours and counting, with no confirmation of when service will be returned. Never had such issues before with any other service providers.

You pay for what you get at the end of the day but would suggest opting for a reliable provider such as BT or Virgin.

Broadband cuts out almost every evening at or around midnight.
Had to but an extender as the signal from the router is so weak.
Website is hopeless, not user friendly, broken links, difficult to Bathgate or find an answer to a question.

I have had now tv broadband for just over a month and it goes off 7/8 times a day for long periods. As i study at home the internet is quite important so i have rung to check my line, to be told it was fitted wring but nobody could come to fix it for a month. I was told no several times that i couldnt cancel and eventually was hung up on.
I received an email the next day saying my conplaint had been dealt with and closed? My wifi still isnt working and now i cannot get through to anybody.

Why is that, never never never again will I ever go Sky or Now, absolute frauds

Only been with Now broadband for a few weeks. Engineer got it up and running but did say there was an issue outside and someone would come and take a look - nothing. Now my broadband has been completely down since Saturday and No definite answer for when they will rectify.

We signed up to NOW TV broadband, the box was installed and everything ran fine for 2 weeks, it was then promptly cut off by NOW TV with no reasoning given whatsoever, upon contacting NOW TV I was told that I would be contacted within 14 days regarding my problem???? 14 days! So I called the customer services helpline who rudely hung up on me before saying that the problem would be resolved by the following week, flash forward a week, problem still not solved and we receive an email saying something's gone wrong and we will be contacted in the next 2 days, 2 days later the exact same email. Upon contacting customer services a further time I am told to wait another 72 hours for someone else to be "in touch with more information", still waiting, still no wifi and absolutely useless customer service. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The price is good, I’m sure the service is good, but the routers are sh1te. I was with talk talk previously for 8 years and only changed due to seeking a better price. The router signal quality is awful. I can sit 25 feet away with a clear line of sight to the router and not have a full signal. The signal is dropping out all the time too. There is no point in having super fast fibre if the routers are cheap and rubbish. I am yet to find a way of reporting this issue to Now as they seem to make it impossible to contact them, hence why I am leaving reviews. If the supplies better quality routers like talk talk do, it would be great.
