    Having recently moved I chose plusnet over BT and others for my fibre optic broadband as exactly the same line but with a better short and long term saving..
    Communication prior to install was excellent with daily SMS and email updates.
    Router arrived by post on time.
    BT engineer phoned 8am letting me know He was 20mins away...He was polite courteous and removed his shoes. His work installing their modem was finished very quickly he even set up the plusnet router. I was up and running instantly the speeds I'm getting are 38down and 18up which are the top end of the claimed estimates.. I'm more than happy..

    I came from Origin Broadband which was Digital Region and sadly it came to a End 14th August 2014. That means I lost Fibre Optic in my area I had a speed of 2mb lucky to get 3mb sometimes but not all the time, terrible speed.

    I then decided to give Plusnet a try, as I couldn't get any success with any other ISP's it kept cancelling my Migration to there service e.g Sky. Luckily Plusnet gave me a New phone number line FREE! I got online within a week, I have had very little issues but they have always fixed them for me.

    I am alot happier now, we now have Fibre Optic in the area, which happened last month, I went on the cheaper package but the upload was very slow as they had slowed it down for that package, I have now moved to the fibre Optic extra package 6 months FREE after 6 months my cost will be £19.99 BB and £16.99 Phone. I am getting around 73.50mb when I do a Speedtest and my Upload is around 18.40mb. Fantastic service, i'm now on my second year with Plusnet and I don't regret it. I say to anyone thinking of joining them, go with your own instinct that's what I did. Oh and before you ask "NO I don't work for Plusnet" :)

    Have to say that after around 9 months with them in this property and over 7 years in total (previously in N Wales, in 2 houses), I've had brilliant speed and excellent customer support when doing the transfer from there to here.

    Speed at old location was around 2.5 Mbps for most of 2011, only 160 kbps and down to zero for 6 months in 2010 (until Openreach replaced the dropwire from the gutter into the house, as the insulation had perished). Speed did drop after the 'upgrade' to ASDL 2+ at the exchange (because I was 5 to 6 km away and attenuation was just over 60 dB, at the kind of level where they might have refused service back in 2001/2).

    Can see that there are some who have had long running and serious problems and would only suggest using the USENET facility (in the Member Centre panel) to post a ticket number on the customer-service newsgroup and one of their specialist team who monitor newsgroups and a few other web sites may be able to move you from unhappy to happy, and might even be able to reduce cost for a while as a measure of goodwill.

    I would not recommend PN to clients (and my own family) if I didn't have faith in the support and customer service staff, and no, I'm not employed by them, but just another (happy) customer, planning to switch from the Extra (60 GB/month) to Fibre Extra (250 GB) once my exchange is upgraded in December.

    I joined plusnet in March 2019 after being with Sky for 16 plus years,and it's the best decision I have ever made,reliable,good price,and my broadband has never missed a beat.
    The only downside I have is the plusnet hub one router is not the best,so I upgraded to a bt router and the rest is history,once you pair it with BT it works perfectly,would highly recommend plusnet if my experience is anything to go by.

    Patience of a saint!
    Having swapped over to PlusNet, I missed the delivery of my router (I had to leave the country at short notice) and when I returned back to the UK, phoned to see if I could use my old router until PlusNet could re-deliver one. The call-handler was amazing. I somehow manged to cut her off (I dropped the landline phone on the floor) and feared that I would need to join the covid-queue again but she rang me promptly back. ‘Let’s try this then’ and, ‘No problem, could you do this on the router and read me out the numbers….’ She was incredibly calm, knowledgeable and determined to try and get my internet up and running for me and spent over 30 minutes with me until my wireless internet was working. I was incredibly grateful and near the near the end of the conversation asked if she would re-send the PlusNet router again…. ‘I’ve already done that, it should be with you shortly’; it arrived the next working day. What I really liked about PlusNet was that the call-handler took ownership of my problem and dealt with it, instead of passing me onto other ‘technical sections’.

    Cracking service, had some teething faults but plusnet kept us well informed and sorted the problems asap.
    Broadband speed is good, the main positive for us is reliability - it never drops out and never slows down

    Speaking with customer service depts. normally fills me with dread, but they seem to be a necessary evil in life, so...after my discount period came to an end I contacted PlusNet to see what they could offer for a new contract. This call was handled in such a professional, helpful, and friendly manner that I immediately signed up again for another 12 months. It is very unusual for me to immediately roll over and renew without fully exploring the market for the best deal, but having had no complaints with PlusNet on any level to this point, and having recently experienced shoddy service from various other customer services, PlusNet is the best encounter I have ever had with a customer service dept. by miles.

    Moved from BT because I was paying a lot for a slow connection, which is all that is available here. Plusnet is much cheaper. The switch was simple - just a few hours between BT turning me off and Plusnet becoming active. The speed is the same - not surprising since it is the same network. I didn’t even need to set up the Plusnet router. I just put my Plusnet user name and password into the BT router and it works perfectly. I suspect the Plusnet router is less sophisticated than the BT one, but I haven’t tried it. You get some extra bells and whistles with BT (wi-fi hotspots etc) but, if you don’t need them Plusnet seems like a good bet.

    I have found PLUSNET to be excellent overall - their tech support and call centres are in Yorkshire. They offer a variety of packages to suit all requirements/budgets.
    Also you can have broadband only or include home phone in your package. I have not had any problems with them.

    Please add my user name; woodburn636 as a referer when you sign up and I will receive a small discount and you will receive excellent broadband and can then go on to refer others.

    Switched from BT due to spiralling costs. Was dreading the switch and all the problems we might have but it was seemless and stress free. Regular updates by text and email. From Plusnet.Have not had any issues so far. Broadband speed same as with BT. Really pleased we halved the cost of broadband with no noticeable issues.i would recommend Plusnet ......

    I've been with Sky before. Tried vodafone (crap).... Now I have moved my mobile and broadband to Plusnet. Never had quicker internet. Easy to set up and fast as **** !! I'm sofa king happy!! Thanks plusnet!

    Been with Plusnet for over 6 years only had minor issues with line dropouts which their customer support staff seen to very quickly. I have Fibre line which has a constant speed of 47mbs to 50mbs download with 7 Devices Connected. Never had a problem with customer support as they have always been polite and helpful.

    I just changed my package to Fibre and as normal customer service were great. I have been been with Plusnet and Force9 before that for over 12years. Never had a problem and they have always done what they said. Looking at some of these reviews it seems people forget that it is BT who fit and maintain the lines.

    This is my second review of Plusnet, the first was a very positive review after my broadband had been switched, but the router hadn’t arrived due to post delays over bank holiday. This was sorted out quickly and efficiently by Plusnet.
    Now I have had chance to use their broadband for a number of weeks and in my opinion it is excellent. The speeds are higher than predicted and I have had absolutely no outages or disconnections and our household is a fairly heavy user of broadband. I read many reviews about Plusnet on this site and the majority are very negative so it was with some trepidation I decided to switch, but I came to the conclusion a long time ago that the people more likely to leave a review are those with a bad experience and the people who are perfectly happy don’t bother. Hopefully this will balance things out slightly.

    People normally feel the need to comment on these review sites only when things go wrong, which is understandable. People feel a need to vent their anger. That's why so many of the reveiws are negative. (Check other providers reviews, they are all the same).
    Just thought I would add my thoughts about Plusnet.
    I've been a Plusnet customer for 11 years, at two different addresses. In all this time I have had only two problems - both were underground cable faults and out of the control of Plusnet. I received instant account refunds for these problems.
    The router I have now is two years old has been faultless, with excellent wifi coverage, no dropouts and easy to setup and modify. (I previously used my own routers).
    I can download and stream HD/UHD films, music etc without problem, and the download speed has always been exactly as promised.
    Like all providers, their customer helplines can be very busy, but there is the ability to check online just how busy they are, how many customers are waiting and the average waiting time. So you can see the best time to call. (Google 'plusnet call wait times').
    So overall I can recommend Plusnet.

    Contrary to most reviews I can only speak highly of Plusnet. They recently provided us with landline and broadband. Their communication was excellent via text and they honored both target dates for connection.

    So far our broadband speed has been excrllent. To date Very happy with Plusnet.

    Recently signed up for broadband an for my phone line to be switched from BT. Quick and easy an any problems were sorted extremely quickly. Bt did not want me to keep my number an stopped plusnet from porting it. I was with no incoming calls for 2 days before we realised. We called plusnet to find out.
    Customer service were polite an helpful and got my number back in under 24 hours would extremely recommend them.

    I have been with my ISP, Plusnet, for 18 months and in that time I have found them reliable, responsive to my needs and always the best speeds.
    My line is supposed to hold a max. of 80 Mbps, I have got 78.4 down and 23.3 up on various occasions and would not hesitate in recommending Plusnet. I have just signed up for another 18 months!

    Had them for 5 years. For 2 years we have ADSL with speeds of 11mpbs, which good but we needed faster internet. So we decided to get Plusnet Fibre extra. Its been amazing can't remember last time it went down, speeds of 75mbps and brilliant customer service.

    We have been with Plusnet for 7 years and the service has been reliable. Any problems they have sorted via the help lines. Our original router worked but was 7 years old so they sent a new one for £7. Installation was very easy.
    We have not changed from Plusnet because it has been zero hassle.

    Excellent service. They did everything as promised and on time when I switched from BT, The call centre is located in the UK and responds very quickly to any query.I thoroughly recommend PlusNet to new subscribers.

    I've been with Plusnet for 15 months, I've had a couple of problems over that time but these have been dealt with quickly and the customer service and aftercare are exceptional. I've always found them friendly, Helpful and easy to talk to and I love the fact that it's a UK based company with a UK based call centre.     I have been with Plusnet since summer 2013 and for the past 2.5 years I have only had 3 issues which was quickly rectified. The customer service was great, I felt the representatives were understanding and offered explanations very clearly, it felt human and not call centre script reading bots. No problems with the broadband speed, I get 16mbps and it's been quite constant. I did have a speed issue during the first year but this was fixed within 12hrs from the technical support side. I will recommend friends to Plusnet.

    Changed to Plusnet in April this year after many years with talk talk. So far no complaints at all . Broadband is reliable with constant speed as advertised unlike my previous provider. Customer services so easy to contact and no waiting times and a pleasure to deal with as any issues sorted straight away. Thanks

    My old provider had a rubbish accounts department and although I should have had a standard payment every month they always messed it up and I used to get into arrears because of mistakes on their part.Plusnet has always kept me informed about mu account.
    Also my download speed has never gone below 35 mbs

    Changed this month from BT, who were over charging and poor value for money. Cannot prise Plusnet highly enough, very fast smooth change over, and internet speeds are much faster than BT for a lot less money. highly recommend.

    Plusnet is the best internet i have used. I had an issue the other day rang up didn't get any of the old rubbish of turn router on and off change channel frequency. Just looked at my line found the fault and got it resolved excellent.

    I've been with Plusnet right from the early days of dialup and I'm now on their Unlimited Fibre service. I've found them always utterly reliable, speed of connection always in line with what's promised (I get around 70mbps download, 18mbps upload) and whenever there has been a rare problem it's always been resolved quickly. Their technicians know what they are talking about, are UK based and are very polite and extremely helpful. I would have no hesitation at all in heartily recommending Plusnet.

    Just gone into 2nd contract with plusnet. When I started out with plusnet for first couple of weeks WiFi would either go very slow or even loose connection but once I reset my router I had no other issues. When I signed up on my plusnet account for renewing my contract my Wi-Fi dropped and completely lost collection and with only useing smart tv and apps on my tv to watch tv with no connection which ment no tv I was not happy and my kids was not happy. I called plusnet and find it was a fault on the line and being a Thursday the lady told me as it's coming up to the weekend the line may not be up and running until the Monday. I decided to turn my router on on the Friday to see if on an off chance my internet was up and running which to my spruce it connected straight up so now I will have a very happy home. I would recommend plusnet to anyone just on my experience with plusnet. The woman I spoke to on the phone with customer service was very helpful and polite so all I can say is a big thank you to plusnet for Great service and keeping my kids happy.

    I've been with PlusNet for 6.5 years with fibre for the last 6.0.
    Always got top speed, 38mbs but 52 for the last few months. Customer service can be a bit slow but the online forum is monitored by CS staff who will pick up serious issues and go with them.

    I have been with plusnet for 20 years now. The first year I had dial-up then progressed to adsl broadband. Always had a reliable service. Two months ago I bit the bullet and upgraded to FTTC fibre. Change over occured on the agreed date, but the new speed was variable, sometimes it was slower than my previous 17mbps broadband. I reported the problem to them (I was surprised to find I was only on hold for about 3 minutes!) Anyway they did a remote test on my line and diagnosed a potential issue with my house line, so arranged for an openreach engineer to visit later that week. The engineer arrived at the arranged time and diagnosed a faulty master socket. He replaced it, and tested again. Problem fixed! I now have a rock solid 39mbps download speed. 5 stars for plusnet from me!

    Been with Plusnet for several years.
    When I have had problems, only once have I had to put the phone down after waiting 25 minutes Apr 2022). But the next day I was picked up with 30 Seconds.
    staff was brilliant. Genuine apology for there being a problem. After quick checks, a fault was found and an engineer was booked the next morning.
    This great service has happened every time I have contacted Plusnet for various reasons.
    Great Staff. Great service. Great company.
