Shocking, wr moved house and couldn't get Virgin so had to change to this mob.
Took them over 4 weeks to set up our internet and now it's not even working. Shuts off all the time and the speeds are worse than a 2G data connection.
Stay away.

The internet was in general pretty average (slow to slightly faster - some disconnection for no reason), but service customer was terrible. A call every month to try to sell us new products, even so we asked them every time to not call us anymore. Processes for starting their modem were far from easy, and cherry on the top of the cake was the way made everything complicated for ending our contract. We are not going to another provider, not even moving house, we are leaving the country !! That should be super easy, and all logic should be that we don't have to pay fees for that, as we don't have choice than stopping our internet provider... Have been leaving in a lot of different countries, that the only time in my life I'm asking to pay fees for cancellation while I'm leaving the country, that is non sense...

Well what can I say. I'm on day two. I've been told by the BT engineer that the line is good and should get speeds around 60 meg download and it's nice and clear. We plug in the sky router and NO device, wireless or wired, can get anything about 4.5Mb, with pings that reach anything up to 450ms. Clearly not fit for purpose I waste time on calls to customer services on day 1 to be told "Don't worry - it'll be activated overnight and should be good tomorrow". That brings us to today. No improvement on download speeds at all, cut off by customer service after numerous transfers and switched to a text system without even asking me. At present, it's looking like it's going to be headed straight to the ombudsman as missold for a full refund and very public (I'll make sure) embarassment for Sky.

Can't stress how absolutely awful sky are. The amount of times I've seen the exclamation mark show through the symbol is crazy. If you go 5 yards or more away from the box you have nothing in terms of signal. They're legally robbing people of money it's a mockery

i wanted to sell my iphoneSE to back to sky in a sky trade in i was sending two phones back at the same time , and they got mixed up , the iphoneSE and the huawei mate pro 20 , they have sold the huawei mate pro 20 , instead of the iphoneSE they say they have a system in place that if the wrong phone is sent they will send it back in my case the wrong phone was sent , and it did not get sent back to me , so i no longer have this phone and they still are trying to change me 700 pounds for something i dont own and something they have sold on without my permission , the original sale was for the iphone SE very clearly worth 35 pounds in a the picture i sent them , so they have sold on a phone i did not give them any authority to sell and now are refusing to believe thats the one i was selling and now are expecting me to pay 700 pounds which now is a sum total of 2 phones worth 1400 only one of which i have in my possession and they are trying to charge me for there mistake , i cannot pay this amount of money , they then said i had to confirm or deny this action and i did neither so without my permission has sold a phone worth 700 pounds and now charging me for it i do not have this phone in my possession i have sent it to them back they have said it got sent to the wrong department and in this case the phone i sent back was only 2 days old , and they are refusing to understand , will not take this off my bill and so i will be paying an extra 20 pounds a month for there mistake

Connection keeps dropping every few hours. And when it is up the speed is 1/3rd of whats promise. This has been going on for the past 2 months.
The tech support is utterly incompetent. They asked me to pay for the engineer to get it fixed ASAP or wait for 4 days for a free engineer!
I paid for the engineer - connection worked fine for two days and issue is back again. Now I have to go through the whole sharade all over again.

Sky like to take your money for absolutely nothing.
The broadband is patchy and not very strong.
Their communication is shocking.
They bill in advance, so when I cancelled I gave 28 days notice before the next bill to be sure they wouldn't take any more money from me.
Instead they billed me double for the month in which they were providing no services at all only to refund it a month later plus the £13 I was owed from unused services.
Utterly pointless
When trying to solve the problem Adam and Dawn from customer services were also useless the mere repeated lines of 'can't do that'.
Never use this service.

SHOCKING!!!! I organised my sky broadband to be set up months ahead. The day I moved in an engineer from openreach arrived and did not manage to setup my broadband and said another engineer would visit to finalise the setup. This next visit never took place and when I phoned sky they said it wasn’t their problem, and I would have to set up a new appointment. The first available appointment was 3 weeks later so I am left without wifi for 3 weeks.

AVOID THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A BROADBAND PROVIDER.
I signed up to their broadband package, they took £20 off of me, couldn't give me an installation date, but was told I had to wait to receive an email, the email never arrived, 20+ phone calls later, and promises me managers calling me back, (mates happened) I still had no firm installation date over two weeks on ! I finally lost my patience, and cancelled today, only to be told that my £20 refund would take 30 days to process ! THESE PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTE THIEVES, WITH INCOMPETENT COULDN'T CARE LESS STAFF, AND A DISGUSTING ATTITUDE TO A MEMBER OF THE PAYING PUBLIC !! Avoid these clowns at all costs, I never got to comment on the quality of the broadband ? They seemed happy just to sit back and take my money without providing anything ! So glad I have now cancelled, avoid these thieves.

Hi there,
I ordered a sky package with sky.
They sent me a message saying, there is some error and I need to contact them at so and so numbers.
The problem is after 45minutes per day for the past couple of days and still I couldn't contact them. I am cancelling my order now.
If any one is planning to take a package from them. then my humble opinion is not to do that. Completely avoid them.
Thanks
Kiran

Atrocious broadband service. Keeps hiking the prices up. Locks you in for another 12 months so you can't leave. Service keeps dropping, I keep calling up to get engineers to come fix the problem, the engineers can't find a problem but then miraculously the service is fine for a month after the engineer visit and then starts dropping again the month after. I call up again, they say there are no faults on the line, and the cycle repeats. Last time I called up yesterday they blamed ME for poor service because I was doing things on the internet that would make it break like WATCHING NETFLIX?! C'mon guys, EVERYONE who has internet streams TV. If your poor excuse of a broadband cannot cope with TV streaming then clearly something is terribly wrong with your service! The rude lady then said I needed to upgrade to fibre to get a better service at an extra £15/month! I said no way so she said she'd send an engineer out to fix the problem at a £15 cost!!! To fix SKY'S problem!!! When I questioned this, she said it was because the engineer was coming on a Saturday (a "premium" day) and the lady was doing me a favour so I didn't have to take time off work. I said I work from home so am happy to have the engineer come during the week. She was clearly just trying to make an extra £15 for Sky. What absolute scam artists! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Having subscribed to sky boost,I had to threaten to leave Sky after seven open reach engineers, seven Sky engineers could not resolve the constant dropping out of my internet connection , disappointed that I was left to resolve the problem on my own without Sky resolving it for me.

Poor service. They led me to believe I was canceling my account via email (email back and forth, they asked for detail 'in order to progress your enquiry' etc) only to be told after a week I'd need to call and start the process from the beginning (meaning I had to pay for their service another week).
They then overcharged me and told me I could call their customer service number and claim my money back after a month. Never had such bad service. Stay away!

Website offers very limited information of the services you actually own. No way to improve your internet without upgrading to their insanely expensive Superfast. And their customer service is extremely bad. Would not recommend this to anyone. Can get it cheaper and better from most other companies.

Have had outages, but generally service is available. The speed can't be relied upon. Also there latest devices won't cover every corner of your house in terms of WIFI coverage.
Customer support is horrible and it reflects how poorly they consider this part of their service.
Their contract terms go by each package and its a web that you can't expect a normal person [not a lawyer] to understand fully.
They design their contracts to keep you in their legal web.
They offer less price and will increase the price within 3 months and you are stuck with the contract for 18 months if you don't complain about it within a month.
I wanted to add a single channel package and after adding the chat rep says oh this changes your over all bill because you can't have the discount package on another package that you used to have because of this addition.
after removing the single package when i ask them to reinstate the old offer they say oh we might not be able to do that. Can I add another discount package with its own 18 months contract. Can you believe this.
I hope there are better alternatives out there, because I am waiting for my contract to be over.

We signed up for the Sky broadband alongside our TV for ease. We were promised over 20 MPps but when we had it installed, it was less than 2. Sky weren't able to offer any solution and were so unhelpful. their customer service team are the most arrogant, unhelpful people I've had the misfortune to deal with. We switched to BT and they were much better on all fronts. Due to Sky messing things around though, we didn't have Broadband for 2 weeks. Be warned that when you want to open an account with them, your call is answered almost immediately but if you need anything else, you'll be waiting a long time and then get passed from department to department...

Worst off the worst. Bunch off scummy rip off pigs. Waste off time and money. They charge you extra money a month and increase your monthly payment without giving any notice and when i was having issues with my internet they try and tell me its going to cost 100 pounds to bring out a muppet to check whats wrong. All you at sky are scum, useless daft rejects. Get a grip off your useless lives. And also get your customer services checked and stop putting people on hold for a week just so they can speak to someone sitting in bin ladens training camp. Go slit your wrists you scummy pigs.

Terrible customer service as a VIP customer. I called them when I lost satellite signal and they actually made it worse. I lost all functions which included the remote control. The engineer will take 5 days to come and fix the new fault they caused plus the initial fault I called about. Super bad! I will work towards closing my account of over 20 years

Awful. Absolutely terrible service, drops out all the time, sky q doesnt work properly and engineers seem unable to fix, customer care unable to help. I pay over 80 a month for a premium service which is incompetent, incapable, just downright disappointing. Please dont make my Mistake. Ive spent hours, literally on the phone, on hold, meeting engineers and all to no avail. Now theyve cancelled a much needed appointment and sent me a text!! Unbelievably dire service. Beyond me, its so poor.

First of all, I am greatly disappointed from the Sky service so far.
I bought an essential broadband package (it started with a cost of £19 a month and then they increased it to £24 for no reason). I was supposed to have an average download speed of 11 Mbps and an average upload speed of 0.8 Mb, which instead are 1.63 and 0.16 Mbps - incredibly slow. Just to give an idea of how slow it is, there is no way to watch a movie in HD.
I decided to upgrade my setup as a superfast fibre was available for £26/month - this with the idea that Sky connection is not good in my area. I will get the fibre activated in 10 days and let's see how it goes. Hopefully, the fibre will do what is written on the tin and will be location independent.
PS customer service and Sky policy are awful.
