I was a new customer with Sky. But now I wish I never joined Sky. I have so many regrets.I have had two months of nightmare. The Wifi on my mobile and my sons mobile we had no connection with the internet. I called 3 to 4 times to Sky customer services and I was told to follow the instructions online and change the channel number. when I wanted Sky to send someone out to check our lines it was clear to me they didn't want to waste their money sending someone out. I waited for the Manager to contact me but I got no call back. I had to pay £20 to Vodafone network for internet and I was at the paying Sky £22 too for the service I wasn't receiving.I waited over two months but we were receiving no internet connection on our phones. I Then cancelled the contract with Sky But I have to now pay a fee of £79.20 for cancellation. it wasn't even my fault. I feel I was taken advantage of. They don't want to waste a penny on their customers but instead they take money off them even though we're not at fault. no one was bothered. I have never had bad experience with any other network services. I will never join Sky again I've lost a lot of money because of them.

Sky is honestly a terrible company to go with, not only are they slow at everything they attempt to achieve or any query you have, but they also don't honor their warranty. I was sold a Sky+HD box, pay an awful lot for phone, TV and broadband, the box broke in less than a year (still well within my warranty) and they won't book the free engineer to fix it. Clearly the product is unfit for purpose and they are trying to charge me £65 for an engineer. Absolute joke!!

The sky broadband service is very poor and bad .they are too expensive and they always charge you extra ,their net is so bad. I cancelled my broad band with them because I was paying them but I most off the time I didn’t have internet and I ask them to cancel my broadband they accept to cancel for same week I called them but the next month they take money again in my account. I don’t recommend sky.

Friday night, no signal, 57 min on the phone with the no skilled technician to tell me that an engineer needs to come in but not available over the weekend and had to wait until Monday. Bad service. I cancelled my subscription.

Pretty sure I'd be able to set up my own Internet Service Provider for a couple hundred quid and it would be far more reliable and quicker than this joke of an ISP. I used to have Virgin Media before having the misfortune of moving to a flat where Virgin Media isn't availiable. Now I am stuck with dog-s%#te ''superfast'' (aka 20mbs) internet that cuts out weekly. Haven't dealt with the customer service as it appears to be utterly pointless judging by the myriad of reviews exclaiming the poor service.

    TLDR: Absolute s%#t

Absolutely appalling. Terrible customer service. Shockingly bad. Wanted to upgrade my broadband to faster speed. So far it’s taken 10 phone calls (and each time I’m given a different story) and 2 months and it’s STILL not been sorted out. And all the time I’m paying for broadband I’m not receiving and my mobile bills are Sky high as I’ve no wi fi. Please please please don’t get broadband with these clowns because if you do, you will be sorry. Time for me to contact Trading Standards I think....

It has been an overall awful experience with Sky. Originally took over the account about a year ago (the account change alone was like pulling teeth), three of us had been using it the previous year. This past year the connection has dropped so much it could only support my activity (previously 3 of us). Lately it has barely supported my light use. I have contacted support before about my terrible connection, but only get bizarre reasons ("internet needs to travel a long distance", or "only use one device at a time"). Then it would start working slightly better the following weeks. Tried so so many methods to fix or improve the connection. Found out if there is a vpn being used, suddenly the internet works much better..super suspicious imo. This past 2 weeks, some days I can't even get emails to open..The plan may have been cheaper, but this experience has not been worth the savings. Advising you to move on to someone else!

Long term O2 broadband customer very happy with previous service and speeds - usually 10/1.2 - then Sky take over and speed is gradually deteriorating and connection intermittent. Now so bad Facebook newsfeed struggles and streaming anything is a distant memory. And they put the price up 50%.
Voting with my feet, bye bye Sky and your greedy and abysmal service!

The worst customer service I’ve ever come across! Happy to take your money but don’t like rectifying problems! Tried to tell me I would have to pay £60 for an engineer to come out and look at my NEW sky dish that was only fitted 3 months previous that we where having problems with! Advisor was very unhelpful and kept saying it was my box when I proved it wasn’t! Made a formal complaint and asked for the call to be listened to, a complaints handler phoned me back a week later, admitted that the original call handler had been in the wrong and rude, I escalated it, was told someone would phone me back only for me to call a them back a MONTH later and be told they’d closed the complaint, didn’t even bother to tell me! If I wasn’t in contract I would leave! As soon as my contract is up I’m off to another supplier

Dreadful. We spend a fortune monthly and have no value for money. Wifi is patchy and we frequently spend hours a week unplugging and resetting routers/Q boxes trying to get a better signal. We are supposed to get 80MBs but routinely get 1.4MBs. When we ring up, we are told that its because we have too many devices. This is the 21st century - everyone is working from home and everyone has a couple of laptops, mobiles, nest and X boxes. If these cant be supported in the current world, then it isnt fit for purpose.

Absolutely terrible service, after moving house Sky have left us nearly 1 month without Broadband. Our predecessors had a good BT connection, but Sky said they cannot use that because it is connecting via copper wire and the Government remit is to have fibre via cable. Therefore, they just refuse to use current existing connection. The engineer told us that to have cable access will mean digging up our porch. However, when we contacted them, Sky then lied to us and said that wouldn't be necessary, the Open Reach engineer could do the job easily on a second visit, but unfortunately he did not turn up, after waiting in all day we rang them. No one had informed us the date had been changed to 3 weeks later and when we complained and asked to speak to a manager the operative did even know who that was and didn't put us through to anyone. We got a call back later, but as yet no decision on whether they can connect us. I have a very senior position in civil defence and need to work from home at times, often with online international meetings. We've explained this to Sky, but no further action as yet and no device to help connect remotely. Absolutely disgraceful, do not go with Sky.

I have regretted signing up with SKY since almost day 1. I have had continuous problems with broadband with line dropping off and slow speed. And yet Sky keep on saying that they can see from their systems. Recently I had problems for a whole week with the internet going on/off in 5 min intervals.
It suddenly seems to be fine now but I received no follow up call from Sky. I have no idea what they have done anything to fix it because they are not even admitting it was a problem from their side.

As for compensation, they have offered £5!

Never ever will I go with Sky again.

Sold a Sky TV and broadband package - told the property was listed as 'Sky-ready' and that there would be no problem switching from current provider. I could even try it for a period of time and cancel with no issues as there is a 'cooling off period'... wait for it...
Sky engineer arrived for install and said it wasn't possible to run the service from the property. Cancelled subscription the same week. Cancellation letter confirmed cancellation.
Now I've been charged for a service I'm not using and trying to get a refund for being falsely sold to. Been on phone 53 minutes to customer service and it's still not resolved and I've now been told to call back in a week due to their 'system being able to process the information'.
They are saying I need to pay for a month for a service I've not even had!!
    AVOID. Seriously - avoid.

Week 13-Not really(only speradic small annoyances)had much of an problem before receiving my small Wirless box that feeds the 'On demand' which was offered to me when I called for something else. Well the 'On demand' never downloaded &/or took days to download a short programme let alone a film.It also completelty slowed down the internet & kept dropping out when it did connect(unusable).Told to jump through hoops to get it working by their tech people only to have the phone disconnected many times & never spoke the same person or even the call centre when I called back. When I made a complait a helpful individual took ownership of my issues & though for a few weeks still went by we were getting somewhere, now 13 weeks later I have had to keep the phone socket off the wall & plug phone line into the inside of socket which prevents the upstairs phone from working just to temp resolve the issue. They evntually sent out a BT engineer(by own admission was not Broadband experienced)he said nothing was wrong with the phone line(which I knew) & that it could only be the Sky equipment(which I knew) & since December no-one from the Sky has responded to any of my emails...really dissappointed & undervalued as a customer....What do I do!! Aaaaargh!

    Please stay away from Sky!

Our kids really wanted sky t.v so we swapped our TV, phone and broadband package from BT to sky. Worst mistake ever. Our internet is painfully slow. We complained numerous times but it has never got any better. To make things worse our phone bill was through the roof every month - turns out that we are being charged a national rate for local numbers! Sky claim that Anything outside your own code area ( even if only 20mile down the road) if they have a different dial code the it's national not local!!! Absolute joke!

To use catch up TV we have to wait on a programme downloading all day before we can view it :(

We are cancelling sky and returning to BT.

    Hi all,
Been paying for this service for 3 years. In raininy seasons the connection become intermittent and drops out sevral times a day. Take 5 mins or so to reset the modem and router eaxh time. Not great. After 3 winters of telling them this they finally sent me a better version of thier router which seemed to fix the problem (although they still charged me for the pp £ 6)

Now with the new router only 3 out of 7 rooms can get wifi signal. But sky call this "environmental factors" which they say they can over BUT I can buy a booster for near £40 with pp.

    Thanks sky :-(

We joined Sky in January 2021 and left in May 2021 after we had a nightmare broadband, landline and customer service from them. It started with overbilling. We signed up to a promo deal run through their 3rd party partner, Curry's and we got billed higher by Sky until we produced evidence of an email confirming our original deal. It spiralled downwards from there. We got thrown out of Zoom, Skype and other virtual meetings, we experienced consistent freezing and slow speeds at least 6 times daily and at weekends when most people aren't working. Yet, the customer service was a shambles. In my experience, I've never experienced anything as woeful as Sky customer services. The only thing I can say is that their staff are possibly overwhelmed by the mountain of complaints they get that the poor guys can't handle much more. But that's me just finding an excuse for them. Funnily enough, sometimes the staff also experience disruption in their Sky broadband services as most work from home. This happened twice when customer service calls were abruptly terminated and the staff concerned came back and apologised by leaving voice messages. What a disaster! When we finally decided to move, they cut off our broadband and landline services immediately and our landline number which we've had for over 20 years was terminated without allowing us to keep our number which we've had for over 20 years. This was devastating for us as all our families worldwide have always relied on calling us on that number. We also use the number for business as I am self-employed and work from home. We will not rest until we get our number back or take it all the way legally if we don't get a satisfactory solution from Sky. They have caused us great aggravation in only 5 months. They are the pits as far as customer care goes. Why Ofcom hasn't intervened and banned Sky from providing broadband services is beyond me. Also, why can't we score them a zero on this platform? My advice to anyone looking for a broadband provider is to steer well clear of Sky.

We were promised and quoted no less than 30MB/s internet speed when entering this contract and it has not once gotten higher than 10Mb/s. This doesn't sound that awful until you then realize that the average speed we have actually received is 10-50Kb/s which is just ******* absurd.so naturally we have tried to cahnge provider early out of the contract and due to the contract having failed on all sides we were promised a refund for the last 3 months and no cancellation fee, excellent i thought. Turns out what they didnt tell us was that isnt something they do and are now trying to charge us £700 for leaving a 12 month contract 3 months in. we are still only getting 50Kb/s at peak times for a family of 4.

DO NOT GET THIS INTERNET IT IS THE WORST PROVIDER OUT THERE.

My TV has a problem with the satellite signal. Just called them and the early a technician can come is in 11 days!! ELEVEN DAYS!!! I wanted to cancel everything because besides this they took £20 on the direct debit wrongly. And they told me I can cancel but I would have to pay early termination fees!!
But if I'm 11 days late paying them, They would cancel my service... it's not very fair to the customer right? So I have to do all my contractual obligations in time, or I'll be punished, but sky can take as long as they want to fix a problem.
Being 9 months pregnant, it's not easy for me to move, básica all I can do is watch TV. And now I'll be 11 days looking at my walls, after paying £120 to sky!

This is awful awful AWFUL customer service. And I'm not happy at all. In 4 months I'm cancelling everything! I don't want it even if they give it for free.

    Do not recommend!!!

Never had a problem with talk talk before moving to sky!

    It's disgusting this service!!
