Too many dropped connections to be acceptable. I also note that since we notified Sky of the cancellation of the service, dropped connections have increased dramatically in number.

Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Most unreliable internet, which cannot be fixed because they possess the absolute worst customer service. If you have another internet provider option, take it. I have never held so much hate in heart for another company.

My father rang to switch to Sky broadband and landline , he knew he needed a router with 4 connections and was told by the lady from Sky that he could have one, so he went ahead with the contract. The router arrived with one 2 connections. He rang back to be told that they don’t do 4 and he would now have to buy an extension. My father was given false information.

Had an engineer who visited us today. Couldn't fault him in terms of arrival time, manners and skill at connecting a new sky box and explaining the changes from our last box. Very pleased with service. Thank you.

I am a lady on my own I was away from my house for16 mths because my family were in the best place to keep me safe as `i am 86yrs old .. i did contact sky while I was away as I did not intend to be away so long but the Manager I have just spoken to will not except that any of whose calls were valid so they are going to charge me £79 a mth for all the months that nothing in the house was used. I am in shock that as quite a long time customer they will not meet me on any of this and that was that kind of manner from the last man I spoke to . I did not ask his name . I am on my own and really do not know what to do next, cannot face having to change everything never thought a company as large as Sky would do this to a customer. pamela trevaskis

In Sep 2015 I changed from BT to SKy Broadband. after 2 months I started experiencing loss of service and every 3 days my connection was lost and I had to contact them to fix the problem. After all these months the problem kept going and the only thing they did was to give 2 vouchers of 5 pounds. Last week (4/5/16) they decided to send a technician to see what is actually going on and the guy changed the router, the wall socket and did some wiring. My broadband so far is more stable but when I called to request for compensation for all these months experiencing the problem they said that they do not give credit on the account and they will send me again a voucher which, according to them, costs actually more than the cost of my loss of service. this company sounds like a joke

Disappointing times from sky! Such a shame! Ordered a broadband packages since 29th of September and still waiting to go live. Unprofessionalism at its best. Can't even have an exact date. I am working from home and forced to pay somewhere else in order to be able to work!

Terrible service. I've been with them for 4 years. The first time it took them more than a month from the original activation date to actually activate the broadband. When I moved apartment a week ago I used their move home service. I' scheduled the activation in my new flat for the 22nd of August but after standing me up twice (lying about the fact that they called me), they tried to reschedule for the 21st of September. I canceled the service immediately of course.

Bad in every way. Left them and after 9 months they are trying to ask for money.
There is life after sky... indeed any cable based broadband and that is wi-fi, the true one, got a box installed on my wall and paying 'fibre wifi' no telephone and not virgin without direct debit or contract, the installation as costly but well gained in stop stress.
Sky is a terrible company totally desorganised, no proper paper work and just wonder if the revenues have catched up with them yet!

Been with sky for 18 months, was promised up to 17 mbs at best got 2.8 mbs I could not watch internet films or play my online games which I had forked out hundreds of pounds for. I rang them up to complain and they said I would have to pay extra for fibre.
When my contract ended they did not inform me that they would charge me £11.00 as the free broadband had expired, I rang them up to query this and was charged £5.00 for the phone call.I am now in the process of changing supplier.

NONE OF THE SCORES ABOVEARE MEANT TO BE 1, IT SHOULD BE 0.

The internet went off about 3 times when making this bloody review.

We had Sky since 2018, terrible. We upgraded to Sky Q which is meant to be advanced, modern and fast in 2020. Even worse than its normal version somehow. We have contacted Sky multiple times and they keep redirecting/bouncing us around and giving us crappy excuses.

Working from home is a struggle, Online uni is a struggle (took me an hour to upload something which is 96MB), gaming is a struggle, anything you want to do with the internet is a struggle.

    Not even worth 5p.

Internet keeps dropping yet somehow has enough connection to open up a webpage telling us it's down. Even when the router seems normal and fine it drops and the webpage opens telling us its down.

Much more issues with this absolute shamble of an internet broadband but my internet may drop again preventing me from publishing this review so I'm submitting this before it does.

Worst internet I've ever had and I've had a few internet service providers since the 90s. WiFi barely reaches upstairs (new build so the walls are paper thin), low speed, constantly craps out. Paying £35fl for absolutely nothing. Bottom line? Avoid sky at all costs

Just upgraded to fibre max, and the speed is no where near the estimated. A little bit off, fair enough, but not even close (about half the speed). Tried using the text support - quite ironic that the initial response is along the lines of 'so you can get on with your day', what they dont tell you is everytime you get passed to someone else, you have to start from scratch....if it goes into another day, you have to start from scratch.....even worse when they say they'll get back to you and dont...when you raise that they didn't get back, they say there system can see a message was sent....a message asking you to rate satisfaction is not the same as an actual response. During one of the conversations, when they found that an Xbox was connected to broadband, the adviser mentioned that downloads speeds are often restricted by Microsoft....I wasn't commenting on speed on there, so really dont see the relevance here. I'm looking to move as I'm in cooling off period soon, and would not recommend

Shockingly bad. Signed up for 25mb and regularly get less than 2mb. Just ran a speed test and it came back at 1.8mb. Made the mistake of moving from Virgin at a stable 40mb, just waiting to cancel Sky when contract ends and go back to Virgin. The minimum speed guarantee is at 2mb, which is a complete joke and we didn't realise until it was too late. How are they allowed to set 2mb on a 25mb deal?? Surely it should be at least 50% of what they advertise? Jokers!!

I have been a sky customer for nearly ten years now!

I write this as I am due for a renewal soon looking for a better deal, like I always do every 12 months.

The fact is I cant fault SKY! I came over to them from a small boutique ISP (great service but way too expensive) on regular broadband in 2007 and to be honest I cant fault them.

Yes Ive had a few issues here and there (when they went live with their fibre package) but their customer service has always been very good and they are always willing to have a deal every year.

No they are not the cheapest but the service I get in my family home with three teenagers murdering the bandwidth day and night with online gaming and social media / video streaming is very stable and fast.

I admit their wireless routers leave a lot to be desired but I only use the SKY Q hub for the hard wired connection to a Netgear Orbi mesh networking system, which delivers near full speed wifi everywhere, something the supplied routers just cant do.

Anyway thats my experience, i'm sure others have had good ones too, you just don't hear about them.

Really poor - kept losing connection up to 10 times a day. Was fine when with O2, but within a few months of transferring to Sky it's been really poor - connection drops, and they reduced the speed, was averaging over 15mbps, then dropped to 6mbps with not warning or excuse. Customer service was really poor also, Complaints team unwilling to own the issue, and just wanted to defer me to call their tech team, at my expense as not freephone. Asked for them to arrange someone to call me and got a flat refusal and some sarky comments to boot. Just switched.

    Broadband is ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!
Every day without fail the broadband drops out and even when it does occasionally work getting anywhere between 0.14 (yes 0.14) and 3mb download. When you call they don't want to speak to you and a robot tells you all about how you can solve all your problems by going on their website ...... I would love too but either my internet is not working or my measily 0.14 mbs doesn't even allow me to open your website!
When you do speak to someone they offer to send a specialist Sky technician but if you want him on a Saturday you have to pay for him. When he arrives he is definitely "special" and after changing the router (which I could have done) admits defeat and books a BT Openreach engineer.
BT attend and when he leaves all is well ...... for about 48 hours. To cap off Sky's amazing customer service I look at my phone on Sunday to see three text messages from them - two asking if the issues were resolved and a third one sent only 24 hours after the first one saying due to no response they assume all is well and the case is closed! If I wanted further assistance please call them. Thus far I have tried to call and can't get through ......
Sky are selling a substandard product with a focus on profit and no focus at all on quality or service.
They will continue doing this until people use their feet to protest and walk away from them.
I am going BT and Netflix!

Worst internet I have ever had. When we moved into our new house we went with standard unlimited broadband which took 6 weeks to install and was utter rubbish after a year or so we upgraded to fibre and for some reason its worse than standard broadband. Customer services are a joke 4 times iv been on the phone for around a hour with no answer. I will end my contract when I eventually get through and will never use sky again

I reported loss of my phone line and slow/intermittent broadband. There was a 30 minute queue to report by phone and the text message process was slow and clumsy. Clearly a computer-driven screening process because it asked questions when I'd already provided the information. No phone service for 5 days and no refund.

Ok I am not a customer with Sky but I just used their website to see what service I could get into a property. I was asked to phone a tel nos and have just spent half an hour listening going through what is clearly mostly about marketing eith future or now and when we finally get to the agent answering the question: there is no Sky BB service available. I assume Sky knows this but just wants to sell me something. Any Sky reps monitoring this - I know Sky TV is available at the property but on the basis of this interaction alone I will not be signing up.

Q supposed to be a step forward? Rubbish. 10 steps back. If you have not changed yet stay where you are. Plus they tell you, you can go back to old equipment, but you have to stay with the new hub because they do not do the new one. Broadband drops whenever it wants with no reason. Speed is very slow. Stay with the old stuff do not be persuaded even if tit is free. Really not worth it.
