have Been with SKY now for 13 years and my troubleS started with them mostly around 2 1/2 years ago and have been ongoing ever since PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM

I have taken time off work which are unpaid holidays which meant I lost around £150 in wages sitting around waiting for engineers who either couldn’t fix it or were the wrong type of engineer or the engineer never actually needed access to the property so I lost money to sit at home staring at a brick wall
I have been called a liar by them and when I told him to go back and listen to the recordings they make of our calls to prove I wasn’t a liar he change the subject
Customer Service is rude but I’m not sure I can say it’s the persons fault or SKY’s training as I’ve seen another website where a lot of people who used to work for sky have commented on how they are trained to treat/handle customers and this is one of the reason they claim they left working for SKY.

I went to the ombudsman who didn’t seem to give a damn and issued sky a letter to give me a fraction of the money I had lost. I’m now tied into a contract until the 21st of December 2018 and I have a countdown timer on my iphone for that day and one month before I’ll be calling them and cancelling everything with a months notice... my broadband and phone will be with a different company and I’ll be going on Freesat and NOW TV to get whatever I need for viewing pleasure and rather than paying £50 a month for basic tv and regular non fibre broadband (Which only provides a max of 1.5mbph) and phone I will be paying £28 for the exact same tv but with fibre broadband incl phone... no brainier in my opinion...

SKY are a rip-off Company that would step on the vulnerable and sick just to get a penny as I have experienced first hand, they have added stuff to my account telling me it was £1 special deal and if I didn’t want it anymore I could cancel and go back to my original contract plan HOWEVER when I wanted to cancel this £1 special deal and go back to my original plan the plan no longer exists (they never told me they were going to be removing this plan) so I am now paying far more than I ever was
They are liars and a rip-off, they persuade people to do things and then change their plan/contract while people are trying out a special deal... it’s unfair and unprofessional and that is why after 13 years of being with SKY I am leaving and I am never going back to SKY and I will tell everyone I know to leave as well. 8 months and 20 days and counting... I can’t wait to leave I will celebrate with champagne that day

Utter Sh**. Sorry for my language but I'm very frustrated!. I had no idea I wash't the only one who had dropped internet. To make things even worse there customer service is just as bad. My internet has been going off short periods of times. Sometimes 10 times in 5 minutes.for 8-9 months straight. Now I have chosen to cancel. Customer service of sky just use " we will send an engineer to fix it" for all problems. Sky have a record of how many times a day my internet has dropped. Sky don't even bother calling back or checking up on us to see how were dealing with there problem!. It's shocking how they loop calls and waste your time. nothing has been done about my internet and every time i call its the exact same words over and over again. I suggest to anyone don't go near sky broadband!!!!. If you want to stress yourself out go ahead!. Its been another 2 weeks and I can believe we will have to call again, tho this will be our last call as I will definentely cancel and go for virgin media broadband .

Been with Sky for 6 years, they service has gone down hill, the broadband regularly drops out. Had to take 1 days leave for BT Openreach engineer to resolve problem. Was told problem was resolved. This did not spoke with Sky as I have limited annual leave. Wasn't interested could only offer Mon-Fri appointment even though I had already take 1 days leave. I know they are able to offer Saturday appointments, as I have a friend who works for Openreach. Do not go with them, only sticks to script cannot resolve complaint. Oh yes told me my complaint falls outside their complaints policy so they cannot log my complaint???? A joke of a company.

Just got off the phone to a condescending little butt wipe. I'm not a customer but I politely called to discuss potentially moving from virgin to sky broadband.

The reciver on the line spoke way tooooooo fast. Now I'm a pretty intelligent person so it's not a case of not understanding. I asked him to repeat himself 1x and this idiot placed his mouth so close to he phone i could barely understand anything he was saying.

After that I asked him on average what the cost would be after the contract ended for just the broadband if i chose to remove the telephone line. He gave me wishy washy answers but never got to the point. So I said to him because I'm not confident about his answer I will call back another time after I've thought it over and done my own research.

That's when his manourisms took a next turn. Extremely sarcastic, unfriendly and abrupt goodbye from him.

I guess it's all about commission for him. But for me it's all about the small print. If my querys are not resolved best belive I'm not taking up your offer. Not all things tgat glitter is gold. And that kid proved it. If your customer service is bad and I've not even joined yet, just imagine if I was a customer.

    Stay clear!

We left sky because of the internet service they provided and we went back because of tv thinking we would have a more reliable broadband provider, due to the hyped advertising they dish out.

Well how wrong. We had a sky dish fitted and the engineer took thw sky booster away because the new tech router can handle pretty much any distance.

    WOW!!!

    What a lie!

The broadband drops out at every moment it can. My son cannot play on playstation and online games because of wifi drop out.

This is turning farcical and I will be calling Sky tomorrow to shout and ball and say either fix it or we leave and cancel everything and move to BT.

I am not accepting any BS from them either. Turn it off and on again. Move it away from the socket.

Basically I think what they do is hoyk you in with a great conmection and then when they get other new subscibers the older subscribers lose internet reliability.

We live 20mtrs from the phone exchange and should have no problem with internet.

It is a joke and they are a fraud of a company.

After 2 years with Sky it is time to move on. I just found that Sky was charging me £2.50 every month for not taking their TV package. When I called , they agreed to remove the £2.50 from my monthly bills which were almost £32 for the slowest speeds imaginable. I asked that they pay back my money which they had been taking from my account. After many calls I managed to get someone to credit my account . After all of that I was left with a bad feeling and they have lost me as a customer. I would not recommend.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I have tried, and persevered with sky. Tried technical, tried to call, tried to e-mail but all with no success. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on here. I signed up to sky fibre with a new sky Q hub a year ago, I had nothing but slow slow, 4mbps,technical says I have 24, but independent results show 4 to a max of 8. After I tried to complained with no real access to a person. I have given up and today I have given in, cancelled and will try another.

I pay £33 / month for Sky broadband. I'm supposed to get speeds between 11-13mb, with a minimum of 9mb (customer services agent just informed me) yet I currently have 1.42mb and it's been like this for weeks. Service up temporarily then down, up, down. Sky have confirmed there is a fault and that they need to send out an engineer but I have to sign up to a new 12 month contract if I want the engineer to come out OR pay for the engineer to come and fix the service I'm paying for...but it's ok, if I have loss of service again, they'll send another engineer out free of charge.
    WHAT? Is this for real?
I pay £33 for the internet. I don't want broken internet. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a service.
I repeated the 'deal' the customer services agent was offering me, asking him to confirm the details, sign up to an 18 month contract for a service you've confirmed to be broken and unreliable and we'll try and fix it. The guy said, no that's incorrect. It just needs to be a 12 month contract but the rest is right.
Seriously, something is wrong here. Sky NOT providing a service that I have been paying for and expecting me to sign up to a 12 month contract to fix it?
    What planet?
    Avoid SKY BROADBAND.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I've had issues with my mini box since installation SIX MONTHS AGO. I've spent DAYS at this point on the phone, constantly being told they're looking into it, being told I'll get a call from a manager that never happens, and yet they continue to charge me for a service that is not provided. ZERO customer support, ZERO transparency and ZERO regard for anyone. A company worth £31BILLION+ that needs to steal from its customers... despicable. When you take money for a service you don't provide- that's what that is- STEALING. They are thieves, no two ways about it. I'm still waiting for my refund and for the box to finally work. My internet speeds are all over the place- sometimes fine, sometimes dismal. Helpful, considering we're all working from home. Not to mention, the guy who installed my Sky Q in the first place covered the gaping hole he made in my front room with CLEAR plaster so it catches the eye immediately and I can only assume I'll have to pay out of my deposit. I could go on honestly, at no point has any of my experience with Sky been anything short of horrible. Is it because I'm not from here and have an accent? At this point, I don't know what else to think.

I don't have a word or number to rate sky business broadband and phone, very stressful and poor service all the way, never try them again and not recommended, better pay more with virgin and get good service. moved from Virgin for better deal but now I do regret. Sky customer service and installation process are very bad, call records are not in the system even though you spoke to their customer service agents properly.

utter appalling. Bought a WiFi booster to try and improve the reception but no different. They promised me 53mbps but when I go on comparison sites I'm lucky to be getting 22mbps. Rang Sky and they said not to trust the comparison sites!!!!!!!! Sky claim its the speed going into the house not the WiFi reception indoors, never heard such rubbish. If I move outside, which is 6 metres away from the router, I lose all signal and thats in a direct line from the router with no obstructions. Currently got 12 months of an 18 month contract to go so can't move yet. My sister-in-law is experiencing this problem. I would avoid these like the plague. Cannot wait to move provider. I rang to complain and because I do not pay them £5 per month wifi guarantee (they already get over £100 a month out of me) they won't entertain my complaint. Utter rubbish broadband provider

Quite frankly I am absolutely disgusted with their piss poor service. I am a student so having internet connection is very important in order to do work. A lot of it is research based so as you can imagine the Internet is a very important part of that. The sky broadband cuts in and out all the time, making it impossible to do anything online. Failed a module because I couldn't get enough research. Absolute savage performance by Sky, I wouldn't even bother if you're thinking about going with them. Plus paying that amount for it AND for a bloody landline which is not even used. Taking the piss really. DO NOT BOTHER WITH SKY.

The worst Internet provider in the UK. Inconsistent, slowest speed, worst service. This deserves no stars. The UK is a 1st world country whereas this provider is a 4th world country provider. I'd rather kill myself than use this WiFi ever again.

Sky are just getting worse. I get quite a bit of packet loss I rang Sky who were most unhelpful apparently you have to have 10% or more packet loss before they will try to fix it. I have about 6% packet loss which is severely messing up online gaming and I get frequent network errors and then disconnected from the sever. I get a lot of latency spikes too. Sky are quick enough to take your money but when it comes to fixing problems they don't want to know. I can't wait for my broadband contract to end.

I discussed with Car PHone warehouse salesman I needed broadband and tv phone. I said i had cancelled my Talk Talk contract and had to make a decision quick so I did not lose broadband due to the fact I had put the cancellation through and due to my sons uni work which urgently required service. Now Sky ring me and tell me that I have to take the cancellation off from previous provider which means another months payment to them or lose my phone number and have a big delay in setting up my broadband. Great THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE CHANGING PROVIDERS ESP TO SKY as I did not have this problem changing from Virgin. Also when you phone customer service you will have a massively long wait and their comment is that they cannot do anything about that so it is ok for us to have to pay huge bills to sit on the phone for half hour or more. Why is there not an email contact form for customers. I am bitterly disappointed in this as I do not have time to keep searching around and this seemed a good deal but obviously good deals are not always what they seem to be so buyer beware before you sign over. Now thanks to a useless salesman not telling me the facts before i signed up I will be left with no broadband and phone

So decided I needed broadband and contacted Sky mid February and signed up for their sky q broadband and television package. Satellite installed no problem ( although took two visits and had to cut down five trees in the back garden) but nonetheless resolved in a timely manner and up and running within three weeks. Broadband however has taken four engineer visits between sky and open reach, 11 weeks and over 10 calls sitting on hold to sky and still no broadband. The last engineer left saying the phone line is up and running four weeks ago, the line does exist as my sky id can be found when searching wifi connections. Sky are saying that they are waiting for a confirmation on open reach in order to activate my service after four weeks of calling and being told that my confirmation is stuck on the open reach system I asked what I need to do for someone to take my complaint seriously and they said all I can do is sit on the waiting list that I am already on. I asked if I can make a complaint to open reach directly which I was told I could but when you go on open reach website it simply tells you to contact your service provider. I cannot believe that there is no way that such a large company cannot resolve an issue so simple. Sky have now kindly taken to sending me a weekly automated text message for the past four weeks to inform me that there is a problem with my service and they are looking into it. There is no customer service interest they are happy to leave you to make phone calls and sit on hold to relay the whole story to their team, only to be passed to another department to retell the whole story again only then to tell you nothing can be done. I must have wasted in excess of seven hours sitting on the phone to sky over these issues. So I am now paying for a television package with only some functions working because not all the functions work without broadband. Totally fed up with the whole process and so disappointed that a company this renowned has no interest in resolving their customer issues.

Absolutely abismal. I have never had such a poor service provided to me and such bad customer service!!! We have lived here for over 6 months now and STILL our broadband problems have not been resolved!! We have complained multiple times, always say they have fixed it and to give it a few days and low and behold.,.. Still not fixed!!'
The wifi is slow, it cuts out all the time, it's all in all absolutely shocking. I would reccommend Sky to NO ONE!! We get the wifi for free, and I don't even want it anymore , I would rather pay for a service that actually works than have one for free.

The TV service is even playing up now!!!

Customer services for sky are absolutely crap and useless, they help in no way what so ever as proved, because this is still not fixed!!!

I can't get over how shocking bad sky is and I'm not the only one who hates them.

Will 100% be leaving sky this year and never returning again.

    Sort yourselves out!!!

"Sky , believe in better" ..... Really?! What a misleading advert for yourselves.

I used Sky for four months after returning from abroad (my lodger chose them). Service was patchy, intermittent, with daily drop outs. I was with another provider previously for four years and never had any of these problems.
Now I'm switching to a new provider the Sky customer service don't seem to know their aszes from their elbows. Different stories, conflicting info. Had to give up on the first provider I tried to go with as the order was rejected because of the mess made by Sky not closing the line properly. And I missed out on their deal. With the new provider, Sky ceased two days ago and the new provider cannot provision the line because Sky have not done their job properly. If the order fails again then my new provider will have to send an engineer meaning in total it will take up to three weeks for me to get back online due to Sky's total incompetence. I have recently become self employed so three weeks offline is damaging my income potential. My verdict? Avoid like the plague. Hideously overpriced too, for such shoddy customer service.

This comoany is misselling broadband. We were promised guaranteed speeds of 470. We were promised they would monitor it for 14 days and rectify and issues which strangely is the cooling off period. Now on day 15 and at best we get 70 usually far less. They have done nothing apparantly they only have 20 people to monitor everyones broadband so we were lied to. Agents fob you off and managers dont talk to customers.

Really poor - kept losing connection up to 10 times a day. Was fine when with O2, but within a few months of transferring to Sky it's been really poor - connection drops, and they reduced the speed, was averaging over 15mbps, then dropped to 6mbps with not warning or excuse. Customer service was really poor also, Complaints team unwilling to own the issue, and just wanted to defer me to call their tech team, at my expense as not freephone. Asked for them to arrange someone to call me and got a flat refusal and some sarky comments to boot. Just switched.

Absolute rubbish i cant leave a bad enough review without the use of swear words and if i could use minus 5 stars i would.. Ive had speed test results of 1mb/s or less on regular occassions, it drops out for no reason on a daily basis, customer service is next to none existent and if by some miracle you get through to someone all they do is try to blame it on bt. Also wont let me out of my contract.

Mysteriously over the past year our typical speeds as per speedtest.net have fell from 17Mbps DL 1.6Mbps UL to 8Mbps DL 0.6 Mbps UL. Of course Sky say everything looks normal from their end. It's almost enough to make you consider upgrading to the fibre service they've been advertising heavily for the past year or so...

Seriously, if you're looking for an ISP, dismiss these crooks from the outset.

Such a waste. Terrible. Switched from normal sky broadband to max fibre six months ago and never had a day of good internet since then. Discussed the problem with sky several times and each time all they did was to say their tests show no problems. I have pictures of the router admin page that shows the broadband is disconnected but they come up with useless solutions like move the router away from this or that. Useless.

Sky is the worst internet provider i ever had. The internet drops all the time, the speed is horrendous. Can't wait to be over with them soon.
