I've spoken to people all over the world about my cornish WiFi that's never worked properly and I had enough years ago I'm using hotspot on my phone for everything them saying WiFi speed is fine there end . Well it's not this end you've ruined my kids last 5 months or so .I'm classed as vulnerable and they won't help or reimburse when there in the wrong. One of worst companies I've ever been involved with

I am very grateful to Eunice in the Sky Call Centre. I had an initial problem with transferring my broadband (which was on a special offer) to a new home.
the original call gave them at least two weeks notice of my intention to move. At first, there was no broadband. I then telephoned the call centre for moving home and got through to Eunice. She understood fully my concerns and it appeared that my original account had been cancelled. I explained that I had called previously. She took the time to inform her line manager. The manager then re-instigated my account over night. Eunice even phoned me back like she promised and left a lovely voicemail to reassure me that I could rejoin the original deal at the original price. It was activated immediately. Now I am back on broadband as previously. Thank you very much Eunice and her understanding manager. You are a real asset to your team. I will be returning to Sky again in the future when this deal expires.

terrible service, problem after problem after problem. Each time i'm told its a fault outside your home then hear nothing, internet flakes off all the time max speeds of around 6download 0.5 uploads but its mostly 1-2 if any at all, its infuriating and has been going on for years, tell me I can leave but have to pay termination charges. Avoid them at all costs

Moved to Sky from Talk Talk. From day one I have experienced issues. Channel 103 very rarely works. Internet is regularly down. I had no phone or Internet for 2 weeks over Christmas and they sent me a £7.00 voucher - what an insult!! But the call centre employee made out he was doing me a favour - must think all their customers are stupid!!! Have to switch everything off at the electricity supply to make it work again - welcome to the 21st century!! As soon as my contract has expired I will most definitely move to a new supplier! Be warned - do not move to SKY!

Was a little nervous about switching phone as new experience for me but switched both phone and unlimited broadband from BT to Sky today.
Am very happy as switch went smoothly, good monthly saving and download speed same as was previously getting which is 40% above maximum estimated speed.
One hiccup in that despite all the Sky blurb stating that Caller display is switched on by default it wasn't - customer services very helpful and efficient and it was working within 4 hours

Absolutely terrible. I cancelled, got email through confirming and then discovered I had money taken out of my account after services had ended. Sky already owed me money as the cancellation date was before the end of the month I had paid for in advance. As if that wasn't bad enough I have to ask sky for a refund in 2 months time. And I can't cancel the direct debit as that will mess up getting a refund. This is exactly why I dislike direct debits.

Sky want to reel you in and over complicate things. I am moving house and need to cancel. Just been through 10 pages of advertising and 'why are you leaving'? questions, to be told that I have to call them, when you call, it tells you you have to wait an hour and to check online. Check online and you have to call... Kafkaesque!

Got Sky Fibre broadband after years and years with BT. Signed an 18month deal At £27 per month a great deal. After 2 months got a notification that the price was going up by £2 per month. Not a lot I know but niggled me as I thought I had a fixed contract. Rang Sky to be told that I had a deal for £16.99 off the normal price and it remains the same but the normal price had gone up. So when you see an advertised rate for a fixed contract don’t believe. I, check the small print. in a fit of pique I cancelled sky cinema and was advised that sports would be increased as it was part of the same package so cancelled that as well.So Sky will get their £2 increase but have lost over £30 a month due to their sneaky tactics

Constant line drops, you'd be lucky to make it through streaming a single episode without a disconnect, 3-4mins no internet, then back on. Dozens of times a day. The complaints have been made, their pathetic solutions attempted, but ultimately they just deny it's their problem. Terrible reliability. Avoid using sky for your broadband.

I rented an apartment 8 years ago I got sky, my housemate and I paid up and on full, 7 years ago I bought my own place, I told sky that I was leaving and wanted to shut my account down but that my housemate would be happy to keep sky. I was told that was ok, and now 7 years later Im getting some debt collecting company based in Scotland sending letters to my new address saying I owe money relating to the old address, sent them the one document they asked for relating to my new house. Told them Skys phone records would confirm my assertion, just getting generic emails from the debt agency, one after another, bullyboy tactics and refuse to engage in solving the problem or understanding the issues, Ive asked them for the documents they want, they refuse to say and just keep sending the same drivel generic message back they keep claiming Im still the contract holder despite them being informed I was leaving years ago and me shutting down my direct debit, all this for £66.15 for services I know nothing about. I always pay what I owe on time but am I hell paying a penny for something nothing to do with me and because Sky didnt shut my contract as requested 7 years ago. Stay away, money grabbers whose customer services cannot be trusted to do their job.

After some discussions with different Sky help centre staff over a few days my speed has been increased from avge 1.7Mb to 3.1Mb.
    Line seldom drops.
Speed about best I'm going to get this far from exchange over copper wires.
Now that call centres back in UK I found staff very helpful but as usual some better than others at actually helping out.

I have spent the last three days with the Internet light on my router either static orange, flashing orange or out altogether. I have tried calling Sky for help and following their advice but nothing. They simply don't seem interested in doing anything about my problem of none or a minute of internet before its down again. I'm at my wits end as we are paying for a service we're not getting.

    Appalling broadband and phone service…

Appalling broadband and phone service with what must be the most incompetent customer service ever. Despite raking in millions from what they clearly perceive as mug punter customers they seem to have recently decided (2018) they no longer need to provide proper English help and have clearly decided that using cut and paste zombies from the planet zorg might earn them even more money. My phone service packed up (ergo no phone) and my broadband disconnecting 10x an hour (simple job...BT engineer redoes a dodgy joint up a pole, sorted) but not for sky...15 times the zombies said I should phone sky to request help despite having no phone. I then borrowed a friends mobile and the automated system was impenetrable. It finally asked if I fancied going around in circles by sms. I said NO and it immediately hung up and started spamming my friends number with daft sms messages going right back to square one!!!!!! they clearly don't give a jot for customers so I took my business elsewhere.

We became Sky customers in Jan-2014 when they took over our previous supplier, BeThere.
For the first six months everything was fine.

But for the last month or two the broadband connection goes down at least once a day (the phone remains fine).

Customer service is virtually unobtainable; when you eventually get through the broadband is back and so their line check says the line is fine, and we are told that something must be wrong in our house (where nothing has changed).

I have been with Sky since they took over o2 and do not recognise the company other reviewers are complaining about. I have no drop outs and get 37mbs against their projected 40mbs. I do not have to contact them very often ( only to negotiate a better price ) but always get through in a couple of minutes and fined them helpful and friendly, even when I did have a problem when I moved a socket which the sorted.

    I would not change.

Well, we changed from BT to Sky a week or so ago. BT were awful but this has still been a mistake because the actual service from Sky is worse.

The average download and upload rates we are getting from sky are around 0.6MBPS. With BT we were getting around twice that and that is what Sky say we should be getting.

Not only that but the router doesn't cover half the house, not a problem with the BT router.

I've been onto Sky and they asked me to move the router to the main BT socket, which does improve the download ( to a whopping 1Mbps!) but as this socket is located at one end of the house in a wardrobe the router's coverage is limited to a bedroom and a landing! For 5 years we have always used the centrally located socket and it was never a problem until now.

Big mistake moving to Sky and we'll be moving on as soon as we can.

I thought nothing could get worth than my University internet, but now that I'm at my parents new place and they using Sky I am just shocked. I have never used an internet service so pathetic before. The package claims 17mbs, but it has never gone above 250kbps... that's 1/68th of the speed they advertise. To add insult injury the broadband cuts out at least 4 times a day, and at least 4 more times a night. I thought the internet in America was poor and owned by corrupt companies, but Sky makes Comcast look like progressive angels.

Sky Broadband is the worst service.
We joined Sky and cancelled their broadband package 6 weeks later as we had 0.5Mbs. We joined O2 and went to 5+Mbs instantly.
Unfortunately O2 sold their broadband to Sky and we are (bizarrely/strangely back to 0.5Mbs). So we have cancelled Sky broadband again and are nowing joining BT.
Sky is the worst Broadband ever

I was transferred to Sky from O2 a few years ago and am more than pleased. The speed is consistently 37mbs against the 'offered' speed of 40MBS. I get virtually no drop outs and always get through to someone in minutes and always find that they will do a deal at the end of the contrcat.

I cannot understand all the negative reviews on here. I have been with sky since they took over o2. I get a consistent top of the range speed ( 37mbs ) very rarely drops out ( I have not had a drop out for months) and on the odd occasion I need to speak to them I always get through in a couple of minutes. When I did have a problem with my BT main socket they arranged for an Openreach engineer to put in a new up to date socket for free.Top class

I have been with Sky around 3 years ( when they took over o2) and find them very good. I get though in a couple of minutes to a friendly uk call center and they always have managed to solve any problems I have had ( mostly speed- I probably expect too much but I do get aroun 39mbs). The internet does drop out now and again ( maybe every couple of months ) but only for seconds or sometimes minutes. When the router went wrong they sent a new one straight away. I would not go to another ISP based on the reviews of some of them

Sky Cust Serv shocking, promised call backs fail, promised service restoration time frame fail.. they just don’t care.. not able to speak to team dealing with it, will not put you through to manager.. anyone with vulnerable people using online hospital, working from home etc.. think twice!!

I am with Sky and supposed to be on fibre cable. The fibre cable only goes to a distribution box some miles away from my property.I am only getting a speed of 6.4,Sky say the only way of increasing my speed is to cancel my contract with them and take on a new contract, losing my existing land line number and having to have a new number, while they reconnect me to another cabinet, considering I have been a customer for 5 years ,I think it is unacceptable,as I signed up for fibre broadband with the initial contract.Regards P. Very good overall service only let down by long waiting times when contacting Customer Service.
