Sometimes i check my speed, and i have 14 mbps download, which is good!
othertimes i'll be getting 500 kbps download, i phone sky and they just say that because i'm not connected with a cable it's nothing to do with them, 'We're sending 19mbps to your router, what ever happens after that is nothing to do with us' is what a sky worker told me down the phone.
Internet randomly drops twice a day!

£56 TAKEN FRAUDULENTLY BY SKY WITHOUT MY CONSENT AFTER THEY ADVISED ME TO CANCEL DIRECT DEBIT!

I'd had sky tv for over 12 months and my bill was due to increase dramatically. I contacted sky over 3 times to see if there was a way to keep me as a customer. In the end the deals were all over £60 a month which is a ridiculous amount of money (especially when youve got a baby on the way). So I was advised to cancel my direct debit with sky to terminate the contract.

Over a month later, I received a bill for sky talk and broadband. Turns out sky had terminated my tv account but kept the talk and broadband service open. I was quite annoyed, however, I decided to make the final payment. I phoned sky customer services and authorised a payment of £30 to be taken.

Now, over a month later I've had a payment of £56 taken from my account. Although when speaking on sky chat, the adviser has no idea how it was taken as I had cancelled the direct debit about 2 months previous. If sky don't know how they obtained the money, how am I supposed to? I now have to go through my bank to get the money back as Sky won't do a thing about it. They don't seem concerned at how it was taken in the first place.

To make matters even worse, they are now offering me the deal I wanted with them before I cancelled the contract. Absolute joke. Everything they do is to make more money from you.

I'm now left heavily pregnant and £56 down on my bills this month. No apology from sky, no money back.

They have delayed installation 8 times so far. Their customer service is atrocious and I have been told I'm lucky to get Broadband at all (after I got irritated that they delayed installation by a further 4 months). I have switched from them.

Honestly terrible service and avoid at all costs. Customer services completely messed up my account and specifically told me to give my personal details to another person who was accidentally linked to the account by sky. Utterly useless and rude customer services.

An extremely slow broadband and this is with the newly introduced Sky Q box.

Takes 20 seconds+ to get a page loaded - on a new computer - when it's currently being advertised as one of the best broadband companies in the country.

Prior to Covid, it'd take more than 2 hours just to get seen by a Customer Service Agent; sometimes they wouldn't even help.

Not reliable at all if you're trying to play games, search up something or do work.

Not satisfied at all with this, fix your broadband before promoting it!

    Hi all,
Been paying for this service for 3 years. In raininy seasons the connection become intermittent and drops out sevral times a day. Take 5 mins or so to reset the modem and router eaxh time. Not great. After 3 winters of telling them this they finally sent me a better version of thier router which seemed to fix the problem (although they still charged me for the pp £ 6)

Now with the new router only 3 out of 7 rooms can get wifi signal. But sky call this "environmental factors" which they say they can over BUT I can buy a booster for near £40 with pp.

    Thanks sky :-(

I would never recommend Sky to anyone following today's events. A number of things have gone wrong including bad Internet connection, terrible customer service, being given incorrect information by different customer service adviser's, however primarily with regards to our payments.

Our Internet wasn't working when it was supposed to so when we called and spoke with a lady at Sky she VERY kindly offered us 2 months free sports and movies as a gesture of goodwill. That was on the 3rd of December, so obviously would expire on the 3rd of February. We received a text this morning telling us our bill was over £90. We were so shocked, it turned out Sky are now charging us for the movies and sports because 'we didn't cancel the subscription ourselves'. We spoke with a man named AKIB in the billing department. He explained that there was nothing he could do basically and we had to pay the charge. I wanted to speak with his manager who said 'he wouldn't come onto the call because there was no point, he said he had to have a reason to take the call and there wasn't one'.

My partner and I have been so patient considering everything that's happened. We must have asked to speak with a supervisor 30 times. When asked, Akib explained that it was more or less our own fault and if it was him 'he wouldn't put himself in this position because obviously free stuff is not free forever' (and I quote). It took 3 times for Akib to give my partner head office's address when asked, he also said there was no point in writing to them.

Appalling customer service, is not the phrase I would use. I cannot believe we've been screwed over by such a reputable company, they just do not care!!!

I will repeat this message on every site I can until something is done about this!

So I changed address, I used to have Virginmedia but unfortunately they don't supply at my new place so I switched to Sky. Well, it's like stepping back in time 5 years, I'm supposed to get 16 mb download speed b ut only get 11 mb, the connection is dodgy at best and if I use On Demand it uses my broadband. So let's see, for exactly the same price with Virginmedia I had 60 mb download speed and a TiVo box with it's own dedicated 10 mb supply for On Demand, now I'm basically paying for the same speed my TiVo box had for itself. Please, please if you have a choice, go Virginmedia every time.

Absolutely shocking internet, stupidly slow only getting 200 kbps on a good day, 91% packet loss average and the upload speed is around 0.000000000000000000001 kbps. Always problems with it being down and the ping is always terrible. Worst internet service provider out there. going back to virgin media, bit more expensive but you pay for what you get... good internet!!!

absolute ridiculous company to have installed! upgraded to sky q and multiroom and was told a specific amount that we would be getting charged to then have an email stating we was being charged double, after already paying installation fees!! rang up to be advised we cant expect to get a month free !!! (not what we was asking), but given we was misinformed in the first place is a joke, was going to cancel and he said we would still ve charged this month and next month even though we hadn't even used it!! asked 2 speak with a manager and was told that no one else was there and that it wasn’t a manager’s priority to deal with something like this !! the customer service i received was unbeleievabley disgusting it was as if the agent couldnt be bothered as he stated he wasn’t supposed to be in today so clearly didn’t want to deal with our query! i am expecting a call back from a manager on Wednesday as i waa told the department was closed until then (rubbish), if i dont receive that then this wont be the last reveiw i write !!!

We left sky because of the internet service they provided and we went back because of tv thinking we would have a more reliable broadband provider, due to the hyped advertising they dish out.

Well how wrong. We had a sky dish fitted and the engineer took thw sky booster away because the new tech router can handle pretty much any distance.

    WOW!!!

    What a lie!

The broadband drops out at every moment it can. My son cannot play on playstation and online games because of wifi drop out.

This is turning farcical and I will be calling Sky tomorrow to shout and ball and say either fix it or we leave and cancel everything and move to BT.

I am not accepting any BS from them either. Turn it off and on again. Move it away from the socket.

Basically I think what they do is hoyk you in with a great conmection and then when they get other new subscibers the older subscribers lose internet reliability.

We live 20mtrs from the phone exchange and should have no problem with internet.

It is a joke and they are a fraud of a company.

I wish I could give minus stars... My broadband was meant to be set up 24th March. It took them good couple weeks after the date to announce that they can’t complete my order and it’s getting canceled. My option - to create another order with installation date 3 weeks away. Open reach was blamed, however no communication or explanation came from Sky either. Person I spoke to said he will take it under his control. And second person as well... Guess what? The date came and went. Couple weeks later, yet again, I received a message that my order cannot be completed and I need to call. When I did, the person on the phone said my order is getting canceled and we need to place another one. Yet again. I said I want to escalate as it’s getting ridiculous. No explanation why this is happening either. Got a call (eventually) from escalation team. Was offered to place another order with installation date another 3 weeks away )))) Decided I've had enough of them and not going to wait any longer only to be told again that they cannot complete my order and have to cancel it. With no explanation. Obviously, no internet affected my whole household including children. But do they care? Of cause not. Attention of trading standards is necessary, as Sky have no idea about what customer service is and do not keep their promises leaving customer waiting for nothing for months. The third date for the order would’ve been 28th May. How unprofessional...

What a joke sky is. Meant to get up to 38 but on average getting 17-20 which is not what I'm paying for and they really don't care. When you call they get you to do all the work to try and sort it out which again is a joke.
Tell you what sky as I'm only getting half of what I'm paying for how about I only pay half ?

My ISP are without a doubt extremely customer orientated & very efficient at dealing with any shortcomings. My only complaint is with BT! In this location, it has been essential to opt for fibre optic as the landlines supporting the service are as layed in the '70s of aluminium. During pressurized times, during the holiday periods below 2Mb was not unusual, whilst when holiday traffic was at a minimum an optimum of slightly over 4Mb was achievable. The annoying factor is that it is imperative to have a fibre connection, be it to the Town Cabinet in order to achieve what some consumers would grade as pultry signal strength at an absolute maximum of 18.5Mb.

I will need an hour to explain exactly how many troubles I have with them even BEFORE I get connected my broadband(2 weeks after I sign the contract they just.. cancel it - so I wait another 2 weeks:)). Check your bills every month - sometimes they add something and after that they'll say that's add by you even if you not login your account:) I don't even know the password for it! As well I was waiting 3 months(!!) until they install my TV(additional to the internet packet). Shame, wait until contract is finish and just get away from them.

I ordered Sky broadband more than a month ago. It was supposed to go live more than two weeks ago and it's STILL not working. The Customer Service employees are obviously doing their best to be helpful but so far that means just repeatedly telling me that things will get sorted "next week".
I wouldn't recommend Sky to anyone, what a horrible company.

Absolutely terrible service. Been cut off due to a sky workman who cut through a line and has left me without broadband for nearly a week. But the worst thing is there's no information or updates from sky even when promised by certain representatives. I was promised 3 calls to update me and each time to no evail. I'm still unsure of when my service will resume despite needing this for my work. I plead with anyone thinking of joining sky to think again and try another service. I'm not one to complain but this service (or lack of) has left me fuming. Shame on you sky.

I have been with Sky now for around 15 years, that is sky TV, I signed up to broadband with Sky about 8 months ago I got myself in to an 18 month contract. Since then I have had nothing but trouble with it, I must have contacted their help desk about 8 or 9 times about my connection problems. They have sent me a new hub, but still have problems, my Windows 10 desk top that I use is more a less sat their not being used, the only thing I can use with any reliability is my tablet. My smart TV does not connected properly, I have asked for a Sky engineer to come out and have a look but all they do is ask the same question over the phone and run through the same supposedly fixes. They will not accept any responsibility for hardware/software they are running, it’s total rubbish, I would not recommend their broadband to anyone.
As for the new Sky Q box I don't think it is has good as the old system, I will probably go back to the old system after my contract runs out.

It's ****. That's all. Never buy Sky, BT or Virgin Media are much better and they still get you sky cinema and basically all tv channels. I was promised more than 50 mb/s everywhere around the house with multiple devices connected wireless, but just for the 3 of us at home we all get below 10. Ping is good however, the packet loss is insane and as a gamer is very hard. When we used to have Virgin we would get more than 50 constantly all around the house, however, Sky doesn't even reach some rooms and our house isn't even big, it isn't even 2 floors. I will admit that in my village not much can be done, but if Virgin can do it, then so should Sky, but they don't. I think my best Christmas present this year would be going back to Virgin Media.

Ive never experienced such bad wifi. Always breaks up, never connects back properly. Seem to be using more data then ever. Ive had it for over 2 years and its my biggest regret. I would not recommend, there are many other good companies that i should have gone for

    My sky installation so far
Is taking 36 days. They are a joke. Open reach are saying they are waiting for sky engineer and vice versa. They are a joke. I have had no phone or broadband for nearly a month and a half. Stay away from these pirates. They are lazy and the customer service answering process drives you mad you want to hang up which is what they probably want. For your own sanity stay away from sky

When it works its ok but dont think for one moment they will put them selfs out when it dont work, been with them for nearly 2 years now but will be leaving them, had to engerners out over it just going off, keep getting the same old **** told to me snd they think you can just keep having time off work for them to come round and do nothing, dont have sky for your internet if you want internet, thay will just charge you for something that dont work and they cant get to work.

They are quick to take your monthly payment but don't give you anything back when they can't supply the service, it's the only place where you have to pay for nothing! If you walk out of Tesco's with nothing you don't pay anything, get days with no internet with sky and they will rip off and still nick your money from you, do not get your internet from sky unless your happy to pay for nothing.
