Awful customer service. Whenever there is a problem, you can never get through to an actual person to help you. Instead they put you on hold for ages while playing recorded messages trying to get you to solve the problem online. Which you can't because either you can't get online, or the issue you're having is not in the pre-canned list. Then you get disconnected. What a complete waste of time. I am switching to another provider as this service is totally unacceptable.

What a joke this Mickey Mouse service is, the router resarts itself every 5 minutes. I have phoned sky up many times, I have had 3 brand new routers and still no fix. And engineer comes out, his report was that I need an engineer out... Sky internet is an absolute disgrace, and shocking customer service is awful.. Whatever you do guys, DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET

    DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET!!!

Router always resets itself and sky flat out refuse to fix it. 1 Engineer never bothered to turn up. After I was told the problem was with the phone line on the telegraph pole, the next engineer never bothered going up there!!
Such poor customer service on the phone, you have been warned. DO NOT USE!!!

When its connected its all good, the problem is when I'm facetiming or skyping the internet goes dumb. It refuses to work while facetiming and skyping and it goes super slow. At times it stops working and requires to be reset. I love it when it works, I can stream movies and what not. Just wish it could be better at multitasking if you know what i mean?

Worst connection you can get. Where I am - mcdonalds wifi is more reliable. Constant cut outs, constant connection issues, and let alone their service, right next to the box - I get a maximum of a single bar connection. DO NOT BUY SKY NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS

An extremely slow broadband and this is with the newly introduced Sky Q box.

Takes 20 seconds+ to get a page loaded - on a new computer - when it's currently being advertised as one of the best broadband companies in the country.

Prior to Covid, it'd take more than 2 hours just to get seen by a Customer Service Agent; sometimes they wouldn't even help.

Not reliable at all if you're trying to play games, search up something or do work.

Not satisfied at all with this, fix your broadband before promoting it!

I do not understand why they do not give offers to existing customers.
Contacted customer service and "Akshay" then increased the price of the bill to more than what we are currently paying. CANCELLED CONTRACT

Just moved to Sky a month ago.
    Great service. No hassle.
Good price for 18 month contract
No breaks in service and well above minimum speed - almost double.

Was going to change provider just over a year ago as sky was getting too expensive. They reduced the package meaning less programs but it did bring the price down. Was promised a new router as ours was over 10 years old. It is now been just over the year of the contract we were persuaded to to take out. Broadband speed is almost none existent still the router hasn't turned up.
It seems they will tell you anything including out right lies just to tie you in to a new contract.
Currently looking to change provider wouldn't advise people to use the if they were the last provider left on earth.

I was with Sky for two years and had persistent problems with my connection. The connection was always slow and cut out completely regularly (10’s of times per day) before I switched provider. Sky customer service advisors were always pleasant and would eventually send an engineer out after following their troubleshooting instructions, however, the visit would not fix the issue and Sky seemed unable to offer any other solutions except sending an engineer out again. At the end of my contract, the payment nearly doubled without them notifying me and this was the final straw for me switching. I know people who have had a decent experience with Sky bro’s and, however, I certainly wouldn’t recommend their service to anyone.

Very good and reliable connection. Always connected, always above 12mb upload. To all the moaners, try changing a few simple settings on your router, and in particular the channel number- don't use the same as your neighbours!

Was with O2 Broadband for five years and never had a single issue. Was dumped onto Sky after O2 exited the market and have had nothing but problems. Clearly, bandwidth throttling is in use (speeds falling from 8-9 Mb/s to 0.2Mb/s) despite their protestations that this was not the case.

Their useless black box showed 11.3 Mb/s(!) at all times and they told me that this was the only accurate guide! Throttling so bad that sometimes I couldn't even receive basic text emails. All on a supposedly 'unlimited' tariff that cost £9.50 pm as opposed to £7.50 pm on O2.

Their support people are hopeless - pleasant, but without a clue beyond chanting the standard "Have you plugged in a filter? Have you tried changing wireless channel?" Tier 2 people even worse, charmless with impenetrable Ulster accents, asking you to dismantle telecoms sockets and leave all your phones unplugged - then failing to call back despite heartfelt assurances that they would.

On demanding a MAC code, you will be deluged with extraordinary offers - e.g. free unlimited broadband for a year - but don't weaken. This is a terrible company. (Any wonder with all that Murdoch involvement?)

So I'm off to BT. But not very optimistically now that I've read some reports on here. Are there any halfway-decent providers - ones who simply deliver what they promise, say?

I suspect sky broadband to be very overloaded with insufficient bandwidth. I have a solid 7mbit connection to exchange. However the real speed over that link is severely throttled at most times of day. Most the time on a speed test I see barely 1mbit most of time it is 0.2mbits. Video content is unusable emails with larger attachments hang for ages. Sky help desk are only concerned with the connection speed of router they simply don't comprehend the issue or don't want to know. I work in IT support and have worked in telecoms so my wiring and setup are fine. I wouldn't recommend sky at all. I had plusnet at previous address and found their service and support very good. The connection speed was half what I get now but I could achieve 10 times the download speed I get with this sky product and it was consistent. I am looking to go back to them soon.

Installed Sky Q TV, phone and broadband in the summer. Issues with all 3 services from start. Phone not working at all and broadband slow. It took me hours on the phone before they sent out an engineer but even then phone fixed but speed still slow. More hours on the phone and technician eventually got me to download and time a file through a hard wired connection to test my speed, which I timed at 67 seconds but they claimed was only 45 seconds. A blatant lie. Resorted to writing letters but refused to send engineer out again, claiming speed test at their end was fine despite receiving only half advertised speed. TV box still crashing on daily basis.

I cant even get the thing installed let alone use it! I know this is probably BT's issue just as much as Sky but the service and booking system - information flow between companies IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. First engineer could not wait 5 minutes for me to arrive at home - then upon cancelling the request it has now been 3 days and the system still wont let me re-book. I have just been told by Sky I can not book until Monday now...5 days later...

Rubbish as anything as i was with O2 and when i was moving house they transferred to Bloody sky. Ever since i am paying every month for NOT WORKING BROADBAND Called numerous time with sky no help at all. All they ask to do unplug and plugging the wires no any improvement on speed. And customer service talks rubbish as my main socket is by the main door and asking me to move the computer which is not possible. Now im going to cancel the contract or cancel the direct debit.

No issue with initial communication and setup. However, the signal drops out constantly . I have checked hub/followed guidance etc. But I guess I’m learning you get what you pay for. I wish I’d never left BT. It was pricey but ultra reliable and never lost signal in 6 years. I can’t even get the app to work. Can’t wait for my contract to be over and move providers. So disappointing- no number to ring them on any paperwork or emails.

Very pathetic service provided for home move. They do not understand what the problem is and constantly send an engineer who says that it’s not his job to do. Customer service people also do not have any clue. One and half month completed from the time home move service has been initiated, still problem is not resolved..

Pretty rubbish really, the connections are unreliable, even those on fibre, there connection is not reliable, as soon as Openreach play with the junction box, then we have problems for weeks on end, then Openreqach come out again, fix the problem and everything settles until the next time. The providers are not interested, all they are interested in is stealing as much money as possible from their customers. In effect, Broadband should be considerably cheaper than what it is, it is only because of the greed of Openreach and BT in general, that we have to pay extortionate rental costs. The sooner the government stops BT and Openreach having a monopoly the better.

I never, ever leave reviews. I feel I have to in this case because the service and value for money from Sky is so appalling. Speeds between 1 and 5, nothing wrong with the line, engineers visits etc etc. Luckily, I'm not contracted to them any longer so am switching - I've been with them for 10 years and realistically the service has been poor all that time. More fool me. Very very stressful when trying to work from home. They don't give a fig. Do yourself a favour genuinely, don't go with Sky.

Have been with sky for well over 10 years and the speed to be fair hasn't been too bad. That said, the reliability of the connection is terrible. Iv'e only really experienced how bad it is over the last few months. Connection always dropping and customer services asking what antivirus software I use.. Really!!! Sky should be ashamed of how they try to make out its the user end when we all know full well its their end. Sky used to be a really reliable service but like everything nowadays.. greed greed greed. I have been with Sky TV for over 20 years. About 5 years ago I moved address. When I spoke with Sky I was told that it was better that my subscription was cancelled and then I would get Sky Q and it was better.
So the agent on the phone (knowing better than me) arranged for everything to be done.
At no point did the agent tell me that it would cancel my years tenure would be reset and I would loose out.
When it was noticed in 2018 it was changed to what it should be. When my contract was redone in 2021 it was again rest back to the lower level. Again I argued why it was wrong and Sky once again changed it to what it should be.
Now in 2022 I have taken out a mobile contract and funnily enough they have swapped my tenure back to the lower level and say that when you 'move' or cancel ( which I did not) your tenure is reset.
I have argued that their information is wrong and asked why has this been done twice before and why do the refuse that there is information on their system. I was told that it doesn't matter level you are as everyone is on VIP now. Yet even their adverts say the longer you have been with them the better the offers you get given. Who is lying to me again!!

"we don't slow you down at peak times"..... Said sky. Nah they just cut you off. My Internet at peak times does not work. They fail every week to provide me with 1.5mb... Yes 1.5. My phone signals 3 times as quick. Phoned them countless times willing to do nothing to the apparent bt line. I don't care about bt I pay my money to sky. Connection drops out every hour would recommend anyone double checks the what 3rd party provider can offer over bt who own lines. Had bt bb in my old house 50/13 and keep two years I'm sure it dropped out once for about 15 mins. You pay for what you get. sky do TV not bb

Ive had speed test results of 1mb/s or less on regular occassions, it drops out for no reason on a daily basis, customer service is next to none existent and if by some miracle you get through to someone all they do is try to blame it on bt. Also wont let me out of my contract.

What can I say.... I can't see any stars in sky, if there were a lower rating ild rate them a black hole, all you get with sky is the same bullsh!t day in day out, if its reliability your looking for, don't look up to sky all you'll find is a cloud, the signals blocked for long periods of time and when you do get a break in the cloud, don't expect to stream videos/ play games or browse web pages for longer than 10mins, there customer support team is amazing though, it seems that they can work miracles within the touch of a button when you complain, speeds seem to shoot over the top limit and everything becomes out of this world, but it ain't no heaven, after a couple of days those guardian angels seem to forget about you and you end up in hell again, struggling to do anything whilst that fcuking box smiles at you.... That's just my opinion, but if you don't mind not having there service half the time and like to watch your router smile at you, just remember it's your money there taking!

After an awful experience with Virgin in which I paid a lot of money for a truly poor service I moved to Sky, they had it in within a week, and Netflix doesn't buffer anymore, the signal doesn't drop, I have not had to reboot the box once. The only time we lost internet was once during a storm so file that under **** happens. The service is way better than Virgins and only a third of the price.

We have been with sky since we moved into the house. However, it has never been reliable and during the speed test I have just carried out the max speed recorded was less than 1Mb/sec. Customer service is at best poor, an example being in sept we were left without broadband for a week without an explanation.

Just got the fiber from Sky, easy and prompt installation, works perfect, had Sky before and only had one issue with the internet, which was promptly sorted. When I looked around and saw sooo many bad reviews was thinking not to get internet anymore hahah a crazy internet world out there, I mean all the internet suppliers have terrible reviews
