Moved from virgin to sky in December. Big mistake. Broadband issues daily. Live chat always busy. Online diagnostic tool 'not available. Can not get through on the phone. Terrible service, terrible support. If you're thinking of switching, don't.

I applied for sky at the end of Nov and got an email that they booked an appointment for Dec 9th for a technician to visit and enable Broadband, Technician came never called me and left without informing any, when i call customer care initial person said, they enabled and I will get internet from midnight, i waited till next day morning and when i called Customer care, they told some problem and assigned ticket to some other team and issue will get resolved by Friday (12th), however nothing happened, when i gave a call back i was told still they didn’t fix and it will be completed by 16th for sure and as a courtesy they gave me 15 pounds credit to buy a dongle, as you know how expensive these dongles (paid extra bugs from pocket) are and the one i got finished in two days and i end up in paying extra bugs till 16th Dec, as usual none from sky team called and when i called they said issue is not resolved and they were going to look on Thursday and will give a call back to me on Friday, when i asked will they fix for sure this time or no, he simply said not sure and if they didn’t fix you have to wait, when I requested can you give a courtesy call for status, he didn’t answer. On top of this when I asked will get any additional credit to recharge my dongle till issue resolved, he simply said not possible.

Position I am is being in a great developed Country struggling for basic internet since many days and not sure when I can get.

Hope some Senior Management from sky Teams listens my concern and assist with right info.

    Regards,
    Sudheer.

Do not do business with this company! Scammers! I have been a Sky customer for 6 months. The contract is for 18 months. 26£ per month for broadband with an option to increase the price by sky after 12 months by a maximum of 10% = 2.6£. After six months they increase the price by £4 to £30 per month.... I thought it was a mistake... sky explanation: global situation, other companies increase by more... (other companies in my region: VODAFONE £25/month and NOW £24/month VIRGIN £26.5 - contracts guaranteed price for 12 months and faster data transfer!!! Disgusting how sky treats customers!!!

Truly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Got my broadband 6 months ago. 3 months ago it went out...took Sky 3 weeks to fix it! Just went out again...Sky's systems to identify the problem are also down (lol @ this company) so no idea when it will be fixed. I live in central London!!! Absolutely ridiculous for a 2017 internet service company. I'm switching providers as soon as my contract is up. Suggest you all avoid Sky!!!!!!

Absolutely dreadful - worse since we changed to Sky W. can you believe their 'new' router only has 2 ports? It is also designed to only accept their products when acting as a bridge! (Think I've got that right?) I had to have 2 poor guys spending 2 mornings trying to connect to it until this was discovered. A sheer disgrace. Our speed us awful, but, worst if all, it drops out constantly ad I can't get a connection 2 rooms away from the router! Not fit for the modern world. Go to another provider. I found this site whilst looking fir a more appropriate one.

Horrendous company! My tv, broadband and phone line deal ended and the price doubled. I called to discuss a new deal and there wasn’t much they could offer. So I terminated the contract. I was then sent a letter with a great deal. I agreed to the deal online and then I got an email through after with an increased price! I challenged it, and after loads of calls and been passed around I was told they wouldn’t honour the deal! I should be happy as the increased price was still a great deal?! I’ve never dealt with such incompetent and morally bankrupt people!!

Sky is having all the malpractices with the aim to deceive customer and extort more money. We had renewed the sky contract last year with an offer that Original TV bundle will have 50% discount. However they applied the offer a month before Contract renewal date effectively giving only 11 month offer. Is it not common sense for anyone to apply offer from Contract renewal start date and keep the old offer (75% disc) intact till previous contract end date? I am surprise how the sky representative did this whereas they should have advised and done right thing for customer. It is clear that they hide the fact and do not make customer aware of the contract date, offer date are different and with only aim to extort more and more money from customer. I would not recommend anyone to take Sky connection.

Just got sky broadband, got sky hub SR102-Z.

i had many doubts on sky snd bt as they bother use the same lines to provide internet to customers, im tired of all these crappy excuses and not enough being done to fix the dam problem. My sky wired ethernet connection keeps dropping the signal. I have done all that silly tech nonsense that never works and they go home at night saying im a pc expert blah blah. Really how its only simple plug in and unplug you always talk about ?. that not an expert, thats just turning it off and back on again. I have stripped it back and reconnected as it says in that silly box, again did not work. chatted to sky online with one of those sky typing windows, guess what it lost connection there as well, sky sucks, all those fancy pants tv adverts with actors in them in clean white coloured adverts not fooling anyone sky, you need to shake up your problems and get down to getting things put right. We want what we pay you for. I was with virgin media, great service, great broadband and i only left as i moved house and i could not get the service where i live now, after online search seems many sky users have this signal drop problem, i think they are just using a a crappy router, with fancy pants shiny cover. As you can get routers from 3rd parties to get better signals but sky say oh no no if you do that we can,t offer you our technical service, always a bloody catch with the uk, you suck. Strange sky these other routers get better signal and better connection with better chips in them and better firmware upgrades and yet you keep messing up, go figure. Oh look there it goes agian, no internet connection yet again, so what is really causing this to happen, come on experts. Oh it could be this and it could be that. so when are you gonna get this put right, its very obvious some thing is causing this, its just so simple and you don,t know what it is, or you can,t delliver all thos tv fancy adverts you said you could. And by the way this is on firbre optic broad band, yet i keep getting kicked off the internet. enough is enough.

GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND SOUGHT THIS OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL.

    Worst broadband ever,
Speeds never meet the minimum guarantee(excuses after excuses for the issue),
    Prices increase while in contract,
    And connection drops quite often.
My connection has been down for more than one hour as I am writing this review.

What an absolute JOKE of a broadband server Sky is. Customer service is just as bad. People, please do not bother wasting your time over this abomination. They have the nerve to charge that much for such a hideous quality service. It will just drop, and stop working for HOURS on end sometimes. They never have an answer to as why this happens. They'll send someone out to look at it (which you have to wait what feels like years for) for them to fiddle with it so it works, and then the minute they leave it's down again. Don't even waste your time. We will be leaving sky and going elsewhere...

I pay for Sky because it is cheap, and I get very little money, so I only spend under 30 a month. But it lies, I am only meant to get 15mbs, and whenever I check it on their website it says that it is constantly at 19mbs.What BS. I have spent the lazt 2 hours, trying to watch a video that's not even in HD, and is only 23 minutes long. It buffers every 2 seconds. I am not convinced it is ever at 19mbs, and believe Sky is a scam. I like in a two people household, and the only other person who is on the wifi, is my partner who is just on his phone. Regret my choices but I am on a contract.

Sky were unable to provide a reliable service, we were paying for things we could never use as download speed less than 3mbps, we decided to cancel giving them the required months notice, and moved to another provider, they have persistently hounded us for payment as they said we hadn't cancelled all of the services, which we had, they made us offers, threats and new deals if we came back to them. Their customer service is shocking, you cannot contact them in any way if your account has been blocked as they did to ours without giving them your bank details, don't bother writing to their postal address they don't reply and will deny you having ever contacted them. This is truly an appalling company to deal with, they only got one star as it wouldn't let me give them the nothing they deserve.

Barely acceptable internet service. Quick to get you to sign up for the "peace of mind" Wi-Fi guarantee which isn't worth the paper it's written on. Try get customer service forget it you will get a bot pushed from irrelevant help guide to irreverent help guide and if you are lucky get hold of a human who will repeat the process of blaming the issue on you. Need to cancel at end of contract I was going to leave I don't know why I contemplated giving them another chance.

Quite frankly I am absolutely disgusted with their piss poor service. I am a student so having internet connection is very important in order to do work. A lot of it is research based so as you can imagine the Internet is a very important part of that. The sky broadband cuts in and out all the time, making it impossible to do anything online. Failed a module because I couldn't get enough research. Absolute savage performance by Sky, I wouldn't even bother if you're thinking about going with them. Plus paying that amount for it AND for a bloody landline which is not even used. Taking the piss really. DO NOT BOTHER WITH SKY.

I have never ever experienced such a bad service from anyone like i have sky. They have over charged, added subscriptions to my account i have never asked for and after being a customer for a very long time (silly me) i still cannot get them to shut down the account after asking them 4 months ago.I have been on the phone weekly, monthly, hourly continuously asking to shut my account only to be told they have added McAfee and then broadband and given an excuse of needing to wait 24 hours until its removed and that they would phone me back to confirm which they didn't. Only did i finally raise a complaint with the ombudsman recently to be told i have to give sky 6 weeks to rectify the problem. The Ombudsman only takes into consideration the time of date the complaint ref number was given and not the date the problem started. Also i have experienced constant hacks due to the yahoo service and have been constantly phoned up by a member of the sky team in the past asking to update this and that.I told them constantly i do not want them to cold call me but the phone calls came day and night. I would strongly suggest to stay away from this company and maybe consider a better more reliable company such as anyone other than sky.

Sky ru a lyaltiy program whih cthey like to tell you makes you a valued customer, well as a loyal customer of more than 20 years they made little to no effort to resolve issues with our highly unreliable fibre broadband - download speed of 49mbps upload 0.11mbps - how is anyone supposed to operate a modern home using this speed of upload? Sky were disinterested, and almost rude, their advisor telling me to make sure i returned their equipment or i would be charged - well they are welcome to it as it doesn't work ! AVOID if you can

I have been with Sky TV for over 20 years. About 5 years ago I moved address. When I spoke with Sky I was told that it was better that my subscription was cancelled and then I would get Sky Q and it was better.
So the agent on the phone (knowing better than me) arranged for everything to be done.
At no point did the agent tell me that it would cancel my years tenure would be reset and I would loose out.
When it was noticed in 2018 it was changed to what it should be. When my contract was redone in 2021 it was again rest back to the lower level. Again I argued why it was wrong and Sky once again changed it to what it should be.
Now in 2022 I have taken out a mobile contract and funnily enough they have swapped my tenure back to the lower level and say that when you 'move' or cancel ( which I did not) your tenure is reset.
I have argued that their information is wrong and asked why has this been done twice before and why do the refuse that there is information on their system. I was told that it doesn't matter level you are as everyone is on VIP now. Yet even their adverts say the longer you have been with them the better the offers you get given. Who is lying to me again!!

We decided to splash out when I and my finance moved in together on sky TV/Broadband. After a rocky start and an engineer that came with hardly any tools and had to use mine and also afraid to drill a hole so I had to do it. Then the problems really started. We went for the full package with multiroom thinking that we would receive the best of everything.

Well. Since day 1 our broadband has not worked properly and we keep losing internet altogether for several hours. Thinking we were in a bad signal area I had this checked and apparently we are in one of the best areas. I called sky and asked for help. They ran a 24 hr. line test and said they would call me back. Of course they didn’t call me. So I chased them up and they said that they would have to run a 24hr test. I explained that this had already been done but he insisted that it had to be done again. I got a call back this time and was told there is no problem even though at the time of the call I had no internet connection.

I also want to explain that the original set up was also wrong but thought just deal with one problem at a time.

After 2 months and approximately 15 calls getting the same response "Oh we have to run a 24hr line test" I finally got someone that said "I think your profile has been set up incorrectly" he then went on and sorted the problem. I explained that I didn’t want to have to pay for a service that I was not receiving and he promised a call back from a manager. Yes you have guessed it no reply. I wrote to sky detailing everything and I got 3 missed calls during the working day on my home phone saying they had tried to resolve my issues but couldn’t get hold of me. Well like most people I work normal office hours.

When I called from work I told the guy I am sorry to be complaining but I am having issues with Sky at which point he said "really" then hung up. Must admit I did think this was very funny.

After 4 months now I received a credit for £17 and I am still without a recordable Sky box in my second room.

I could go into so much more details about Sky as the service is the worst I have ever come across. Unfortunately the only they will confirm is I am stuck in this contract for another 8 months however I will be leaving sky and using an alternative. I will never sign up to Sky again and recommend that everyone explore the other options before choosing Sky. I have a lot of friends with Sky and a couple have never had a problem and never needed to contact Sky directly so they think it’s great and I hope it stays that way for them but just wait till you do hit a problem.

You just can’t get anywhere with them and they do not leave appropriate notes on your file so you have to explain everything every time you call.

Recently upgraded to to Sky q with Sky suppose to be all singing and dancing equipment! The multi room options are contabtly freezing! And broadband is shocking , constantly loose connections with phones and tablet leaving me to always have to use my phone data. Totally unacceptable , spoke with customer service who sent out their engineer after the initial set up and they allegedly corrected the set up as I was informed it was set up incorrectly! But still receiving the same problems. I recently went to Mexico and receive better internet connection! I would t recommend Sky to any one as they aren’t rectifying the problems.

Had an automated phone call this morning informing me that my WiFi is about to be disconnected and to contacted my provider to have a new one installed. Tried to contact sky by text, live chat, email via their site but found it impossible. Tried phoning and repeatedly got the “we are extremely busy at the moment, waiting time is currently 20 mins” that I seem to get every time I ring them. Disgusting service. Don’t have anything to do with them - I wish I hadn’t. And this is only a few weeks after the last disruption in service.

Sky used to be brilliant for broadband but they have gone downhill drastically. After being a valued customer for over 3 years I have finally bitten the bullet and left. For the past 12months my broadband connection was very limited and would stop working completely for a week at a time every month! When I would ring up for help I would be told I had to pay £65 upfront for an engineer visit,I would refuse and miraculously my internet would start working again the next day!Speed would be slow when it was working and it would be very unreliable. Please stay away from Sky for broadband as you will only regret it.

Sky Fibre Unlimited is a very reliable, very fast, internet connecttion. I now get 28mbps compared with 20 on Zen Internet Fibre. Sky are my favourite ISP.

Love sky TV but swapped from BT as the offer to join both sky TV and internet was £30 cheaper a month.
Huge saving so cut ties to BT who were providing 79mps consistently for 2 years
Signed on for fibre max. 79mps.
Since joining I've had 27 at TOP once. Average is 7-15mps.
    A monumental drop.
Sky and 'their minimum delevery' isnt worth the paper it's written on. They blamed all bar Pluto for the issues.

Told me my line can only handle 30mps... though I have infinity 2 before which deleivered all the time. And sky flogged me the max.
They blamed my set up ( plugging In a router) they even said BT restricted it! Unreal.

My honest customer advice is 'buy cheap, but twice' and sky was too good to be true.

Appalling service. Rude staff and I have since managed to cancel it.
Back with BT ( a month later) and my internet is back to 79mps... thought I'd pay more but BT squared a much better deal for me.
All in BT have their issues but I have to say. They are hands down the winners

I have been with Sky for 12 years for broadband and tv, but have just changed providers. Loyalty means nothing. Failed to notify me my contract was coming to an end, then increased my bill significantly. Phoned to complain and told the best new price on a new contract would be £20 more than previously for the exact same package. Phoned BT who offered a far better price. Phoned back to cancel Sky and was informed I had not been offered the best deal. They also informed me BT would increase their price come April by 14% but the price Sky were quoting me would the same from April onwards. They offered a faster line speed. On arrival of a BT Engineer (who I had no idea was coming, Sky only notified me of their engineer appointment) I turned him away after him informing me he wanted to drill a two inch hole to anchor his ladder to run a new line in. I wasnt happy to do so as I have recently had the whole house rendered at a large cost. I phone Sky to cancel the line upgrade and remain on my existing speed. I was told it would be 48 hours before a new deal could be offered and theyd be back in touch. Low and behold, no one did. I contacted Sky again, to be offered a 'deal' on my current slower speed, at a greater cost to the faster speed. Also was informed my bill had infact increased in April and I had been incorrectly informed that it would. I was then told the £10 admin fee would be cancelled for the broadband as I no longer accepted the package. Low and behold, that was another lie and apparently it can not be removed. Back and fore for almost a month, with refusal to offer me a fair deal, especially with the deals on offer to new customers, I decided as I was within the cooling off period, to cancel the whole lot and go elsewhere.
Rarely experience issues with the broadband, but once out of contract they will pull your pants down and continuously lie to try and keep you as a customer

Sky joins Cadbury to make FUDGE! I raised a complaint that clearly showed a catalogue of issues that needed to be addressed. I had to chase for answers despite being promised a call back. They palmed me off with a £15 good will gesture and fudged every answer that needed answering. It left me feeling very unsatisfied and even makes me want to join TalkTalk, who are the worst of suppliers. My Sky TV has already been cancelled and I will very well be changing my service provider for Broadband come August. The customer service absolutely stinks on the Sky Fibre. A real shame, because I had good opinions about Sky for a long time.

We have been with sky since it was first introduced both our landline and Sky boxes have been part of our TV entertainment accessories for years. Their customer service is beyond excellent, broadband is an absolute bargain given the reliability and efficiency of any requirements or problems if any arise has always been dealt with in a professional and an amazing manner. They really are one of the best established companies around, I would advise everyone to sign up with Sky.

Worst broadband and worst customer service. They talking nice but doing nothing. Strength of network is extremely weak and eve a glass door would block the signal entering the next room. Customer service extremely unreliable. Always need to spent over long time on the phone to resolve issue and in the end they said from our side everything is f9 may something wrong in your bouse. Silly reson they give, once they told me because of your cordless you are not getting speed and signel. So i removed it for whole month and same problem then they said may be your house structure causing. I always asked them to send engginer but they never send one. Fact is they not providing engg service, everything over phone and if problem doesnt resolve on phone then they give silly resone like above. Waste of time, money and nerves. Would not recommend their services to anyone!
