    Extremely frustrating long useless calls.
Failed to fix the initial broad band connection after 4 visits

1 star rating because I could not give less. Internet quality was an absolute mess. Had to call them almost every week because it stopped working over and over again. When they finally send an technician over he could not fix the problem and claimed it requires another special tech guy. When that one came he did not fix the problem for what reasons I don't know. Experience with Sky could have not been worse. For your own sake, avoid this company. No matter if it's a discount offer, it's not worth it. I never had such unreliable broadband in my whole life and a provider that is so incompetent in every aspect.

    Many calls to them!

I got an engineer appointment to fix my problem, no one came and then the customer service told me that the speed is maximum which not reached 6.

I have cancelled the contract with them.

We were compulsorily transferred over when BE broadband was bought and closed by Sky
I decided to wait and see how good/ bad it would be

Bad start Sky never sent the new settings so I had to ask - good start - not
We were given three different prices in various correspondence - guess which one they said was correct - the most expensive
We were charged (penalised)£7.50 per month extra as we did not have Sky TV or phone (what???)

Speed went down by about 3Mb downstream and 0.6 (nearly 50%) downstream

Sky Help was patchy one response to a Sky forum post by a Sky so called expert was insulting - he was highly amused when I detailed my problem - some tried to be helpful but I had enough in less than 4 months

I gave up and went to Virgin over 10x faster downstream and nearly 20x faster upstream so far so good

Sky FTTP is a joke my ping is worse than my old FTTC line I thought it was supposed to be better than FFTC. It is terrible with SKY. My landline keeps disconnecting the new router resets on its own. They say 55 ping is well within their parameters for FTTP When my FTTC connection was about 20 ping. Steer clear Sky have gone majorly downhill!

What a joke this Mickey Mouse service is, the router resarts itself every 5 minutes. I have phoned sky up many times, I have had 3 brand new routers and still no fix. And engineer comes out, his report was that I need an engineer out... Sky internet is an absolute disgrace, and shocking customer service is awful.. Whatever you do guys, DO NOT USE SKY INTERNET

Broadband not working, rang on Friday night waited over a hour to try and get it fixed only to find department closed at 11pm. Today rang waiting near hour again to find there is a broadband problem but it will be fixed in a couple of hours. 4 hours later still down, then told use new text service as it's quick? What a joke they take over hour to text back. Sky customer service is a joke.

I find the internet is unstable and inconsistent. When I ring sky they say it is due to how the internet is set up... which they were responsible for, I put up with it now because we are due to move house and once we do Sky will never be an option for us as the internet is absolutely horrendous. They over charge and under deliver.

Do not touch Sky with a bargepole. They blocked my girlfriends mother's number so she could not call her; she was clearly using the so called 'unlimited call' package too much. I was paying for a service that these cowboys blocked and then said I couldnt cancel. I dont think so, im off to Virgin.

    Do not go with sky!!!

We left sky TV due to it being to expensive and not worth it, while we were on the phone we mentioned that our internet was ok but not the best as in not very fast, so we upgraded for an extra few pounds a month. Since then we have had countless issues. We have had 3 different sky hubs, due to sky saying the hubs were faulty when they are clearly not, meaning we have to go out of our way to post the hubs back. We even had engineers out who said they can’t do anything as it’s a faulty hub! We have just phoned sky again who have now said something completely different- there’s a fault on the line!! So now we have an engineer coming out tomorrow.

These issues have been going on since autumn 2020, it’s now March 2021!

Awful company, awful communication, they don’t care about their customers and just want the money.

    Beyond upset.

Bunch of thieves, had no internet from 1st of Feb 2020 until 1st of April , 5 engineers visits , hundreds of hours of customer service calls. Always promised me that I will get 8 pounds in lieu of each single day of no service as a compensation and at the end they offered 80 pounds in the air that I cant use them even to pay my stupid broadband bills . AVOID IF YOU CAN

Never! Never connect to SKY. It's the worst broadband, speed, technical equipment and of course the worst technical assistance ever! They are not solving technical issues, they are just forcing to pay for "upgraded" package.

Not even worthy of one star. The wifi box is outside my bedroom and I can't access the wifi any where in my room or any where else in the house apart from next to the wifi box. Sky is way to expensive for the service they're providing and I am disgusted at the lack of help and lack of manners at sky customer service. This has been going on for 2 years and I'm hopefully switching to a different supplier because sky is a joke. NEVER SIGN UP FOR SKY.

Worst company to use, I paid for the Ultrafast broadband service for 1.5yrs, during the first year, the internet connection was horrible, kept on coming in and out, only had a fast connection at night. I mostly work during the day so this did not affect me, however, from the 24th of December 2023 until the new year, they had an outage in the area which they did not bother to fix and left me without internet connection for 1 week during the holiday period, when I asked how long it would take, I was told they don’t know. Horrible customer service, each representative had no clue how to solve the issue. Never use sky, waste of money, I was paying £38 a month for 150Mb/s, and before them I was using Virgin for £28 a month for 250Mb/s, I will never use this company again, waste of service and horrible customer service.

Absolutely disgraceful service. I was initially with o2 and sky bought my a/c.First year charging nearly the same as o2, of £9, but less broadband speed, then in last month increased by direct debit by £1.49, without notifying me, then £15 per month??? They tell me they dont have to tell me of the increase....Thieves...!!!!

The only time sky were quick to respond to me was when I took broadband out with another company. I decided to part ways after years of dropped connections, price hikes, neglectful customer service and false promises. Often the only way you can get hold of them is by phoning, they have had various other methods such as live chat and even texting, all completely useless. On multiple occasions I was told an engineer would be coming to look at our connection when I continued to complain about the slow speed/lack of internet/dropped connections, on multiple occasions I stayed home from work or took a day off to accommodate this, and on multiple occasions I was stood up by the company who claims to ‘believe in better’. Right now I am writing this review on my 4G as yet again the sky connection has dropped for no reason. It’s raining so maybe that’s why. AVOID.

£56 TAKEN FRAUDULENTLY BY SKY WITHOUT MY CONSENT AFTER THEY ADVISED ME TO CANCEL DIRECT DEBIT!

I'd had sky tv for over 12 months and my bill was due to increase dramatically. I contacted sky over 3 times to see if there was a way to keep me as a customer. In the end the deals were all over £60 a month which is a ridiculous amount of money (especially when youve got a baby on the way). So I was advised to cancel my direct debit with sky to terminate the contract.

Over a month later, I received a bill for sky talk and broadband. Turns out sky had terminated my tv account but kept the talk and broadband service open. I was quite annoyed, however, I decided to make the final payment. I phoned sky customer services and authorised a payment of £30 to be taken.

Now, over a month later I've had a payment of £56 taken from my account. Although when speaking on sky chat, the adviser has no idea how it was taken as I had cancelled the direct debit about 2 months previous. If sky don't know how they obtained the money, how am I supposed to? I now have to go through my bank to get the money back as Sky won't do a thing about it. They don't seem concerned at how it was taken in the first place.

To make matters even worse, they are now offering me the deal I wanted with them before I cancelled the contract. Absolute joke. Everything they do is to make more money from you.

I'm now left heavily pregnant and £56 down on my bills this month. No apology from sky, no money back.

I recently moved to UK and decided to go with SKY and feel it was the WORST descision I made. SKY does not take care of it's customer, they do not care whether the engineer is completing job or not, and even if you call they have only one answer - 'it's not our engineer, we can't do anything, you have to wait'. On the day of first appointment to get new connection, the engineer did not show up and I waited for 5 hours till I realized that there was no point in waiting. They did not bother to call to cancel the appointment. Next day, when I called them, they gave another appointment of next week. On the next appointment day, engineer arrived but he left after 2hrs without completing the job and then never came back. When I called SKY they didn't bother to listen and said your internet will be on till midnight. I took leave from work and my whole day was wasted again! even after this when I called them, they did not show any accountability and gave me another option -- 'LOOK FOR ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER THAN SKY'

If I could give less stars I would. Entirely unhappy with sky as a provider! Misinformation when calling specifically to outline length of payment, only to be charged £52.20 in excess, when tried to resolve this, was hung up on, passed around departments and employees only to reach a dead end after 90 minute conversations in total (including both times I called after being hung up on). DO NOT JOIN SKY. Pulling out of all contracts with them; this cancelled broadband and line rental along with the family broadband, line rental and sky box (which we have had for years).

Love sky TV but swapped from BT as the offer to join both sky TV and internet was £30 cheaper a month.
Huge saving so cut ties to BT who were providing 79mps consistently for 2 years
Signed on for fibre max. 79mps.
Since joining I've had 27 at TOP once. Average is 7-15mps.
    A monumental drop.
Sky and 'their minimum delevery' isnt worth the paper it's written on. They blamed all bar Pluto for the issues.

Told me my line can only handle 30mps... though I have infinity 2 before which deleivered all the time. And sky flogged me the max.
They blamed my set up ( plugging In a router) they even said BT restricted it! Unreal.

My honest customer advice is 'buy cheap, but twice' and sky was too good to be true.

Appalling service. Rude staff and I have since managed to cancel it.
Back with BT ( a month later) and my internet is back to 79mps... thought I'd pay more but BT squared a much better deal for me.
All in BT have their issues but I have to say. They are hands down the winners

    Highly not recommended

Unfortunately Sky have lost the ability to provide any sort of customer service

My high Speed fibre broadband has been down now for a week and I cannot get through to Sky dispite numerous phone calls

Openreach have confirmed there is a local cable fault and Sky won't apply any assistance to get it resolved.

After waiting 3 weeks to have the new internet installed by an engineer I still have no internet. I took a day off work because we were told by two separate customer service agents that the engineer was booked in that day and it was essential they have access to the home. By 5pm no sign of an engineer so I phoned sky only for them to tell us we didn't need an engineer after all and they can do it remotely. FUMING!! Useless customer service who just lie to you! Can't comment on broadband speeds as it still isn't working....

Avoid. Cannot understand advisors, do not follow through with promises, if advisors are United Kingdom - they are extremely rude. All products incur faults. Waiting times are enormous. Try another company first for your nervous system.

Absolutely horrendous service. First of all the engineer who was sent out wasn't given the details of the job that would need done (we needed new phone lines etc), so I had to rearrange the appointment for them to come during the AM. This didn't seem to be a problem, until Sky kept delaying the appointment, texting me over and over again putting it off from one week to the next. I cancelled the direct debit as nothing was being done, then was contacted via message (again) four days before Christmas saying they couldn't complete my order...naturally they realised the DD had been cancelled, and suddenly couldn't do anymore. Never again, I'm waiting until the New Year and looking elsewhere for better customer service with a provider who does just that...PROVIDES!!!

I've been a sky customer for over 10 years, running a smooth TV services and having mixed experiences with broadband.
I decided to fully upgrade my package for TV+BB and at the very end of the sales process I am informed that installation of the Sky Q box (the necessary piece of kit to extend my BB to the whole house) will take 70 days!!!! This is misselling to say the least. The day before agreed installation date they pushed it forward another 2 weeks. On the next installation date, they did not turn up, did not call and re arranged for 8 days later. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER, SHAMBOLIC, TOTAL DISREGARD TO ITS CUSTOMERS. SOLD SOMETHING THAT THEY CANNOT DELIVER.
Suggest you go somewhere else to source your TV and broadband services.

Disgustingly horrific. Worst 5 years of my internet life. Honestly, if there are any alternatives in your area, use them. Buy a pigeon and it’ll be faster than this rubbish. We have averaged 0.3Mbs over the last week, and not for the first time. Slow, unreliable, and expensive. Don’t do it

Worst broadband ever, dont bother. It is very slow and unreliable, was droping on/off every other day. Then i had to call to customer service, wait on the line for 1 hour usually and they said we cant do anything now, we will send an engineer in next 2 days. Then it got fixed, was working for a week and again, help line, engineer etc. Then i got very upset and cancelled, and they said they wont give me any refund because my broadband was at least some parts of the day working, this was a last drop. And when i was cancelling they were so keen to know with what provider i am going next and when i said BT, answer was, that its not going to fix my issue because they use the same phone lines, and they were trying to sell me more expensive broadband, that how rude they are. horrible experience with customer service and with the company overall. Have a BT now for 2 months, never had a single problem. Always connected and its so much faster. If you live in central London, stay away from SKY!!!!

It’s so rubbish. If your looking for good WiFi, look somewhere else. It’s unbearable. But, if you want a WiFi that’s unreliable, stops every 5 seconds, a slow connection, and a WiFi that is unreliable, then sky is what your looking for. If a bomber blew up sky and all its servers went down u would notice cause the WiFi’s that awful and u would think it’s your casual internet

It's been now over a month that we have signed a contract with sky and don't have internet.
All the problems started when the SKY engineer connected the wrong flat to the network. It took them over 10 days to find the issue.
Once they found it they said that they will cancel our contract and create a new one (that was 8 days ago).
If you live in the Brixton area I recommend you strongly to go for another provider.

I haven't even started with Sky and I had enough of it . Spent all day waiting for an engineer (you know, this guy with a screwdriver). Took time off from work, actually had to turn my week at work upside down to make it. And then after 1pm deadline got this text - "Your scheduled appointment has now passed". I don't think you could possibly imagine my aggravation as talking to customer service, they said can't do nothing about it. And then when insisted on contacting engineer, he lied no one was home. Didn't even help saying I want to cancel my contract all together. Looks it normal for Sky. Then farewell ! worst company ever, with no respect for customers. If you like being treated like a doormat, you might enjoy dealing with Sky.

Sky is pathatic pathatic. Very very bad connection worst customer service. I wanted to upgrade my broad band speed, witch they were not able to and were asking me to contact open reach if ask them to upgrade their services then we will be able to upgrade sky services. Even the agent said if you want to upgrade this is not sky problem. Pathatic.

Sky. What a rip off. Wish I'd never cancelled Virgin Media.
Not only is the broadband inferior, it's very slow, constantly failing, on and off nearly every day, at any time, and drives me mad.
I moved to an area where the signal wasn't as good as my last address, less than half. I expected the price to drop, it didn't, I asked they said no. WHY???
I understand that it is not your fault I moved.
I don't understand why it hasn't dropped in price, because it isn't my fault you can't even supply the lack lustre broadband you provided before.
My internet is now around 26 - 32 mbps, making it slower than my mobile phone powered by 3 mobile Internet.
My package was renamed to the 35 mbps package, without my permission, I am paying for the 70 mbps package, this is what should be showing on my bill, nothing else.
The tv signal is also terrible. If I record anything, watch anything live it drifts in and out of signal, pixilated picture. Ruins my programme's.
They even increased my package price this month. An absolute liberty.
I have to put up with this until November. Then the ordeal will be over.
