    I ordered sky basic package with broadband yesterday Nov 15, only to find it cheaper with BT
    I spend an hour yesterday trying to order I was kept waiting between each question... It dragged on and on
    I woke up and thought what if I ever need to call again my patience is out already. I just called to cancel I spoke to 4 guys and 20 mins later it's cancelled.
    Come on sky give your customers a break!!!!!!
    I might have stayed if you could match BT s price. But with this level of service it's a definate - NO!!!

    Don't get SKY if you have more than 3 devices connecting, I have a fiber optic broadband 75 MB. It's terrible and good luck getting them to help you out, their customer service is terrible too.

    Sky were unable to provide a reliable service, we were paying for things we could never use as download speed less than 3mbps, we decided to cancel giving them the required months notice, and moved to another provider, they have persistently hounded us for payment as they said we hadn't cancelled all of the services, which we had, they made us offers, threats and new deals if we came back to them. Their customer service is shocking, you cannot contact them in any way if your account has been blocked as they did to ours without giving them your bank details, don't bother writing to their postal address they don't reply and will deny you having ever contacted them. This is truly an appalling company to deal with, they only got one star as it wouldn't let me give them the nothing they deserve.

    I moved from EE via a recommendation but I wish I just stayed with EE. First the agent told me yes it would definitely be activated a week from that day and that worked perfect for me. This was around the 21 Nov. 2.5 weeks later still no service. I started to call in and all I was getting was 24- 72 hours it would be activated. I was very angry and I wanted some honesty as to what was going on. I ended up speaking to a patronising manager who said I had to pretty much wait. Why wasn’t all this communicated to me prior to order. It’s now 26th December and still no internet. The agent assured me it would definitely be on for Christmas. I have all the recordings and I.d numbers of the agents I spoke with. They offered me a disappointing 3 month’s half price line rental. Not enough. Sky don’t treat customers like this

    8 weeks later still no broadband. worst customer service. keep lying regarding the activation date. cancelled and went for EE who activated my broadband within 2 weeks!! quality customer service and knowledgeable reps. different level to SKy

    We have had a nightmare 10 years with Broadband, ending with an appalling service from Plusnet which had us at breaking point. However, we recently switched to Sky and could not be happier. The broadband switched over exactly as planned and we are receiving 30meg download, 6.33 upload and perfect reliability. To top that, when I called with a query, they offered me Sky+ HD, box sets, set top box and installation completely free for 12 months !! I think all my birthdays and Christmases came at once. Sky have been just amazing to deal with, their advisers are so friendly and helpful and our engineer was just the same. I only wish we had given Sky a chance long before now.

    I know there a lot of bad reviews, but my thinking was that many people feel the need to review (and rightly so) when they receive a poor service, but not many of think to write a positive one when things do go well. I not only believe in better, I now have it too. Thanks SKY.

    Very slow speed, almost no range and terrible customer service. The only reason I haven't complained more is that I can't face sitting in Sky's telephone queueing system all morning, only to be finally connected to someone who says there's nothing that can be done. I'm told that I can spend more money to buy a booster and that might help me to get something like the service that Sky told me I would get in the first place.

    Absolutely useless! We were with O2 broadband until Sky took over and how they managed to ruin a good service I will never know! The speed is poor, ping varies every second so gaming is pointless have to keep resetting the router even though they sent their new hub, which is worse than the router I had previously. Unfortunately it seems there is no decent supplier of BB and have nowhere to go. :(

    Absolutely horrific product and service, broadband offers 10mbps for around 5 minutes before internet completely drops, have to reset router 30+ times per day just to be able to use internet for a few minutes, engineer visited and explained there were no hardware issues so he was unable to assist, as problems persist called sky again who explained they acknowledge they're service is faulty however will now charge £50 engineer fee as we aren't renewing contract with them.

    No wonder sky have such bad reviews for customer support. Just rang as have no internet connection and we are house sitting for a friend. I could barely hear the guy over the phone and kept asking him to repeat and he just cut me off.

    Worst broadband i've ever had. Unstable, unreliable and extremely slow. Engineers get sent out, fix the problem for 2 days and it starts all over again. Literally so awful that sky broadband customers have been given rolling contract extensions to stop people from cancelling

    Rubbish broadband company every month my internet is going down for some dumb reason when I have university work to give in and I need the internet to do research it got to the point where I had stay late at my friends house to finish the work and hand it in on time...

    We had to have a new hub due to lightening and they sent the Q Hub and what a load of rubbish it is. The range is appalling and the signal drops all the time. Hub is downstairs and if I go upstairs my phone struggles then starts using 4g. I'm going through data like water. I had trouble with the last one having bad range, but at least speed was consistent.

    I call them to be told it has a range of 100 metres, yeah right! Then told its environmental and probably due to being near another electrical item. I move it upstairs to a room with nothing else electrical, no change at all. My phone finds lots of wifi connections in my street, most of them BT, but can't find mine 10 metres away. Sky tell me that though it finds them, they wouldn't connect. They talk the most ridiculous drivel, at least it picks it up from a house 30 metres away unlike the Sky one 2 rooms away!

    They then say it's slow and drops out cause of the channel, so I change it, numerous times, no change. They then tried to say its my device, but I have not had a problem with both Virgin and Talk Talk at my mothers and brothers homes.

    We can't watch videos for the constant buffering. My daughter plays games is is always hollering it for running slow. I will be calling them tomorrow to cancel my contract. I've never paid so much money for such rubbish.

    Extremely poor customer service. Waited in all day after arranging with sky and receiving a text message at 6am confirming 2 engineers were coming today to install television package and broadband. Television engineer showed up. Broadband engineer didn't although when I looked online it told me they were on there way. Tried to text sky customer service who didn't respond. After an hour on the telephone explaining I had paid for this connection and taken a day off work and still have no internet. They told me the installation had been rearranged, without my authority or anyone bothering to phone me and tell me. They offered me £10 off my bill and 1 free film for the inconvenience. I now need to take another day off work to get the Internet installed. What a joke, been put on hold I don't know how many times, really bad customer service with nobody taking responsibility. if I could get virgin media here I would have cancelled and gone to them.

    We have been without internet since 5 days now
    And yet 2 more days to fix problem if any of the engineers showed up
    When we first called they said 2 days and then 3 days and now we have to wait 2 more days

    Paying for the best package, my download speed is currently 500kbs, upbload is averaging about about 50kbs! Complete joke of a company, false advertising, terrible service, no problems ever solved in the 4 damn years I've been trying to get my internet stable!!

    Honestly how they are still operating as an ISP is beyond me, please people, boycott this shambles of a company once and for all!

    The customer service is always busy, so if you have any issue at all, you can just hope they gonna get back to you. In my case, they didn´t... SKY is increasing the charges every year even though there is no improvement in their services. There are other broadband providers available that provide much more professional customer service with lower bills after all. I would recommend staying out of SKY and their overpriced services... I have been loyal to SKY for 4 years and there has been no appreciation at all, they treat you only as a paying customer...

    Just got off the phone to a condescending little butt wipe. I'm not a customer but I politely called to discuss potentially moving from virgin to sky broadband.

    The reciver on the line spoke way tooooooo fast. Now I'm a pretty intelligent person so it's not a case of not understanding. I asked him to repeat himself 1x and this idiot placed his mouth so close to he phone i could barely understand anything he was saying.

    After that I asked him on average what the cost would be after the contract ended for just the broadband if i chose to remove the telephone line. He gave me wishy washy answers but never got to the point. So I said to him because I'm not confident about his answer I will call back another time after I've thought it over and done my own research.

    That's when his manourisms took a next turn. Extremely sarcastic, unfriendly and abrupt goodbye from him.

    I guess it's all about commission for him. But for me it's all about the small print. If my querys are not resolved best belive I'm not taking up your offer. Not all things tgat glitter is gold. And that kid proved it. If your customer service is bad and I've not even joined yet, just imagine if I was a customer.

    I had a conversation which ends up arguing with Sky customer service and their complain department. After 4 year having broadband with them I realized the have no respect for customer. Please think twice before choosing Sky,as they dont worth it.

    Sky continually reply that due to the BT lines they are renting of BT that this is why my broadband is so slow yet they put no pressure on BT to resolve this issue so have also Virgin fibre optic and have said bye bye to Sky and BT!

    Fibre speeds are terrible and the routers WiFi signal is very bad walk 12 feet away and you loss it they need to improve there hardware and bump up there speeds

    DO NOT USE SKY! The customer service is atrocious, you will be lucky if you even get through to someone and when you do they are rude and unhelpful. You would think Sky (a massive corporation) would treat their customers better than this. I will be moving to a different provider (the stress isn't worth the money saved TRUST ME)

    Terrible customer service. After being with Sky for 3 years they disconnected our broadband without warning when my flatmate moved out. They told me I could set up a new account and they would accelerate the activation through the system. I put in an order, 3.5 weeks later I am still waiting for the broadband to be activated. They have not called me back despite me requesting a call back 3 times over the past 4 days. I was left working from home using 3g from my mobile phone. Unbelievably bad service.

    I would never again subscribe to Sky Broadband, TV or anything else from sky. I only got sky because of the pause, rewind and record function but now evey provider has that ability. I found i never actually watched any of the sky channels. I have had nothing but bad service, technical faults and poor technical advice from the begining. I was with them for 2 years overall. They didn't fix anything, they charge you for everything even if its their fault. They don't actually have a customer service department which i found out when i tried to complain, I was passed around to people who couldnt speak or write in English. I was about to re-instate the broadband just because I thought it would be easier than finding another provider - how wrong i was! I have just been on the phone for 10 minutes to sky who didnt actually do anything for me in the end and wanted to pass me to another department. I told him I was leaving sky permenantly because of this phonecall and he said ok and hung up! It turns out anything is easier than trying to get through to sky or get anything out of them. Once they take your money and set up direct debit. They no longer care. Also after looking around at some other providers have found that others offer the same kind fo package for broadband but at faster speeds and lower monthly payments! If sky knew how thier agents talk to customers and that skys only hope of staying ahead of the game is to retain thier existing customer base because once the exisiting customers see they are being over charged for a lesser service they will change too!
    Don't bother use Sky chat they justignore your questions and give you a number to call! Dont try to complain because they dont have a complaints department! Im so glad im no longer with sky - what a horrible experience it has been over all - Waste of time, energy and money.

    Have been Sky customer for number of years and their level of service has dropped year on year. Firstly they moved from Google mail to Yahoo mail for their Email provider - since then their spam and malicious emails have hit the roof (used to get none before! - this has been verified with other users on Sky's own forum!) Secondly their broadband speeds are poor compare to other providers, which leads me onto my third point, their prices are rising without any improvements in service levels - much better deals are out there for (especially for phone and broadband). Finally you can forget getting through to customer service, hours on hold; never an agent free on online assistance and they make is as difficult as possible to make a complaint, probably because all their lines and agents are busy making complaints!! i am looking for better deals.

    I was O2 customer and was quite happy before Sky took over. My connection became so slow that it was quicker to use 3G on my phone. After a week of complaining, conflicting information (promises that they would call within 48 hours, after the engineers had done tests- which they never did), hours spent on the phone, I cancelled my subscription. That very afternoon I got an SMS saying that the problem has been resolved. Indeed it was. Two SMS followed, asking me to call them to discuss my options. I never did as I already ordered BT internet. After four days the mysterious problem reappeared. I have no idea if they already disconnected my account (they shouldn't ), but have no intention of calling them and facing their poor customer service yet again.

    Don't subscribe to Sky Broadband if you want reliable fast connection and customer service who knows how to deal with problems.

    AVOID, do not use this company, the voice hub is worse than useless and I have lost 1000's of £'s worth of business. You can not tell if it is working or not other than not receiving calls like normal!

    No complaints procedure OTHER THAN LOG IT AND CLOSE IT!!! DISGUSTING ..Determined to 'screw' every last penny from customers!
    It's all in my title, have left and will not be joining again, poor service expensive and terrible customer experience. JUST DON'T JOIN! THERE ARE MUCH BETTER SERVICES WHERE THE PROVIDER WANTS TO PROVIDE A GOOD EXPERIENCE!

    No allowances for disability except a fob off, talks about disability law 2010 with little understanding giving back stock answers! No reasonable adjustment made at all, in fact no adjustment made at all as required in law!

    By the way, this is the first time I have left a review such as this!

    Shocking!! I recently moved from plusnet after 2 years to sky broadband as we have sky tv. On average we are having to reset the hub between 3 and 8 times a day. I work nights and my partner is disabled so relies on the Internet. I have tryed to contact customer services and did manage to get through once on which I was told as we were new to sky broadband it would take a few days to regulate to find out internet speed so for a few days it would go off then on, 3 weeks later it's obviously still regulating (Yh righto) I would defo think seriously about changing your internet provider to join sky. I'm very disappointed.

    Shocking is the only thing I can say. Do not go with sky for phone or broadband. Our broadband hardly ever works our phone is cracking. We have phoned and phoned sky they have done nothing. We need an ads filter that didn't work. Line checks all the time, tests on the line . Need a new router £70 that didn't work. Basically tough 14 years of sky and we get told tough. I have tonight cancelled my direct debit and contacted virgin. £10 cheaper fibre optic. 2 new boxes and no call out fees. Goodbye sky .

    Very unstable, always loses connection every 10 minutes, even when connected, it is slows 3 or 4mb a second. Sky is quite crappy.

    The service is OKish - sometimes really slow and can even hang-up. SKY usually have deals but DONT inform you when it ends, thereby forcing you to pay a much higher price - Loyalty is NOT rewarded.

    the speed of broadband not as I expected, I have experienced a good speed with Sky before, but with this offer which free unlimited internet with paying just the rental of line 17.40, too slow speed. :(

    The Wi-Fi is constantly buffering and then the streams are alway freezing I’ve got fibre and that’s not cheap so we want the fastest. However from the same week we have had problems and called customer support but the problem still not fixed. This service is paid for every month and does not cross reference correct.
