Just cancelled a 10+ year sky subscription been a fully paid customer, they've switched off all my recordings and purchased films.... judging by the reviews on here there are more dissatisfied clients than happy ones. Let's hope this profiteering, zero customer service company is finally heading to its demise.

My experience with SKY is consistently bad. The service has become progressively poor. I've had SKY broadband since 2012 and the service just seems to get worse and worse. They advertise that the speed is up to 17Mbps. I am scratching barely 2Mbps. A recent speed checked confirmed that my speed is 93% slower than what it should be. The exceptionally poor service began in March 2017. I contacted them and they said they would send me a new router. They made no mention that even though I've consistently paid for the service for 5 years without hiccup and the fault was on their part, that they would charge me for a new router. I've only discovered on 3rd August 2017 that they indeed charged me for something that was SKY's fault. Of course a new router didn't sort the problems out, namely the pedestrian broadband speed and a very poor phone line. This came to a head in May where I lost phone and broadband service for a week. Again, despite the fault with the service lay with SKY, they again in a very underhand manner made it a condition of sending an engineer round that I enter into a new contract with them, even though I was paying them for what I thought was pursuant to an existing contract.
I have tried to contact their customer service team by phone and was left hanging for nearly 40 mins without an agent answering. Quite frankly, SKY's level of customer service is quite appalling. I am sick and tired of their surreptitious and disgusting practices and their underhand tactics in extorting money out of their loyal customers. I am on the verge of getting rid of them and going with an alternative provider. I am a very dissatisfied customer.

Very disappointing download speed @ 6.5 Mbps although advertised at up to 17 Mbps. Constant buffering and failures to connect. Have fitted BT iplate but this makes very little difference.

This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. For a long time I told myself not to switch away from TalkTalk because the connection was so reliable and my kids will kill me if they can't game. I never had any issues with TalkTalk, but was lured by the prospect of Sky Q multi-room TV - what a truly disastrous error. Constantly drops the connection meaning my kids get kicked out of games they're winning and we can't watch a movie without having to re-boot the sky box. I have discovered that several of my friends have also been drawn in with identical results. I have spent hours on the phone with Sky only to receive a barrage of useless information. I am told that the source of the issue is the firmware carried by the Sky router and thy can't find a fix for it. Have tried bridging using a separate modem and router, but Sky has put blockers on so you can only use their kit - which is utterly useless. Am currently planning a fathers' one-way trip to the Moon so our Kids can't find us and terrorise us any more! So bad, I'm going to take the contract hit and move away.

At first Sky was fantastic with great speeds actually exceeding my recommended bandwidth but within two weeks and several pointless phone calls later, Sky slowed down to worse than Dial up. I actually used my iPhone on EDGE which was faster at home, and am forced to write this review on it. Eventually after complaining to Sky about my diminishing speed I requested a MAC code only to find my connection terminate entirely despite the fact that I had not even opened my MAC address letter. I did not instruct cancellation, which they said they couldnt do until the contract was up anyway. Essentially Sky do not fulfill their contactual obligations to their customers and eventually in my case are charging me for a service ghat is totally inoperable. Rubbish!

An extremely slow broadband and this is with the newly introduced Sky Q box.
Takes 20 seconds+ to get a page loaded - on a new computer - when it's currently being advertised as one of the best broadband companies in the country.
Prior to Covid, it'd take more than 2 hours just to get seen by a Customer Service Agent; sometimes they wouldn't even help.
Not reliable at all if you're trying to play games, search up something or do work.
Not satisfied at all with this, fix your broadband before promoting it!

Just awfull , you pay for no internet and poor customer service, keeps on putting you on hold on the phone to many people have to explain to each one once again why you called ...just and awfull experience . being a customer for over 3 years today was the last drop ,I will not accept to pay for a no internet and being treated as a door mat
If others are fine with then they are lucky and seem to have a good service if the case .Only wish they would solve there issues and care about there customers
How many days can one take off from work to sit around and wait for a tehnician that doesn't show up , how kany calls you need to make to get a service you already paid for .....just to waist your time ,mess your schedule and be put on hold every time you call
Nothing is perfect i always understood but after many issues like this I literally don't see the point in being a customer for this company, as they seem not to care

I have been a user of the broadband services of Sky for over a year and from the outset the service wasn't particularly fast, I'm now out of contract and still paying money to Sky for the service but they want to charge me for an engineer coming to looking into my service not working or sign me up to a new contract for 12 months.
I've since cancelled the service as they were not prepared to compromise. The problem is likely the street cabinet or the exchange but they seem unwilling to help, they really just want your money and then don't care when it goes wrong.

Broadband speed has never been good but is worse than ever now. Every speed test I do tells me my speed is slow or line not stable. Downloads take forever, streaming buffers.

Worst service in the UK, complete disergard for customers, incompetent engineers. It seems that in the year 2021 this company has no other excuse but "the pandemic" for the total loss of service caused by their fauly exchange. How many engineers do you need to fix the cabling at the exchange? Well... aprently not enough to identify the problem for a minimum of 10 days... at least according to sky...
Don't go anywhere near this provider or you'll find out the hard way how terrible they are, just as I did.

Absolutely shocking internet, stupidly slow only getting 200 kbps on a good day, 91% packet loss average and the upload speed is around 0.000000000000000000001 kbps. Always problems with it being down and the ping is always terrible. Worst internet service provider out there. going back to virgin media, bit more expensive but you pay for what you get... good internet!!!

I have had 4 Engineers come to my property to install the router, first Engineer indicated that the cable is damaged underground and another Engineer would come to fix it, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Engineer came and told me exactly what the 1st Engineer told me and that i should expect 2 more Engineers to come before my issue is resolved. Broadband was supposed to be installed by the 8th of December and today is the 16th of December and likely to wait another week before issue is fixed???? What on earth is going on at Sky? Really frustrated!

I've been with sky broadband for a few years now. The connection is very slow and they lied about how fast it would be - I've put up with that. The main problems are the lack of reliability and their complete lack of care for the customer.
Every few months the router stops working - the self-heal mechanism only mends it for five minutes or so. Each time I phone them up they do a test that solves the problem for another few months. I ask them if they will replace the router and they say they will if it happens again, but they never replace the router.
The pandemic has compounded things so that now I can't phone them up now its happened again. They do not seem to have any phone people working from home - probably because that would mean they may not follow their scripts and actually be helpful. The online repair does not work and they seem to expect me to carry on paying for a servive that does not work and they will not fix.
The UK compares very badly with other countries when it comes to internet services. This is because of money-grubbing corporations such as sky who do not care about their customers. As far as I can tell most of them are like that. I am changing providers even though I am not expecting anything much better. I do not recommend sky, stay away from them.

Conducted a ping test over a period of weeks. My best line speed was under 2MB. This is disgusting, I do pre-work from home and can't even send it to school. I have to drop it on memory sticks.
Funny thing is, after doing a test it goes up for a couple of days. Almost like they know I'm checking up and so they turn something up.

The internet connection is terrible and it goes down at least twice a day. It has become impossible for me to use netflix or any other online video browser. I do regret now that I have signed them in the first place.

Broadband is worst I have ever experienced, it keeps cutting out, dropping out and when it does work its ridiculously slow, have reported before and was let down. Has been supposedly fixed but clearly is not, not value for money and will consider a new provider when contract is up if I dont cancel myself before hand.

Took 6 weeks (and 4 calls each lasting longer than an hour) before they told me that everything they had told me before was wrong, then right, then wrong again.
I left when they said it was would be another two weeks before I had internet (would have been waiting for a total of 8 weeks!!!!!!!!).
Their callcentre staff don't do as they say they will and each time you call they have no record of your previous call. They say they'll call you and then don't and just lie about the extra things they need to charge you for (e.g. an Engineer that needs to come, then doesn't, then does, then doesn't).
Just awful. Very stressful, and ultimately fruitless.

Worst internet service I have ever used! I had dial-up in the 90's that was faster. I left virgin as I was told I would get up to 200Meg connection speed at a lower cost. Not only was the cost a lie but the fastest speed I have had to date is 6Meg. It constantly disconnects and customer service are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Avoid them at all cost!!!

You may aswell just use mcdoanlds wifi as it’s the same. That’s all I have to say, the other things you get in the sky package is fine just the wifi is atrocious. Bye

For a couple of days now I have been trying to push them for a refund of a balance in credit after cancelling their services. There are only 2 contact options available: fb messenger and a phone number. WAITING TIME ON FB : 70 minutes!!!!!!!!! When trying to call them, I am constantly getting a message about the staff being in training and the waiting time over 30 min!!! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXSIST!
