    This has to be the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. At least 9 fruitless calls to useless call centres staffed by employees who know little and care less leaving me utterly frustrated. I will never have anything to do with them again. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

    Worst thing I have ever done signing up to TalkTalk.Connection constantly dropping out, hours on phone to "customer service" switch on switch off,we have reset our end etc. etc,fault at your end (no fault at my end )As soon as my contract has ended will be off!

    TalkTalk Business left me with no phone or broadband during my busiest period. I asked them to set me up with a temporary call divert to stop me from loosing business and they couldn’t even get that right. They eventually got it working after two weeks and when I put in a complaint the offer I got was this” Dear Robert,Thanks for your reply.
    I would be happy to credit 2 weeks loss of service which would be £18.30.
    Please let me know if you are happy for me to apply the credit and I will apply immediately before closure.”

    Do not deal with TalkTalk Business they are an absolute joke!

    Awful experience. SO much money orientated and NOT caring about customers.

    I have decided to leave them and they have charged me for something I haven't used at all + wanting to charge me for a month in advanced. Disgusted and so disappointed. Never again. please avoid them any cost

    Words very rarely elude me but in this case I am left speechless. Because I am the executor of a deceased account holder I only had very limited intentions when calling but even cancelling and paying the final bill was an effort.

    The first time I called they transferred me to the bereavement team which was an agonising 35 minute wait then eventually getting through it took 20 mins to cancel the supply.

    The second call was to simply pay the price final bill which as per the precious was also a great difficulty. She of course attempted to transfer me to the bereavement team to make a payment but declined and persisted until she agreed to accept payment. Obviosuly these people don't have any listening skills as I had to repeat my name and address six times

    Broadband has always been hopeless with all advisors completely unwilling to do anything about it.

    Would have changed it immediately but of course a stubborn grandmother went for the cheapest option..... CHEAP FOR A Reason.

    I also advise searching the free number on the Internet as the one printed on the bill is not free from a mobile.

    Please stay well clear!

    Very Poor service as we are Business customers paying them £90 a month lines are bad we made complain several times but they didn't bother to take an action also we call and ask that we want to leave you they said ok from what date/if you are new business customer please do not get their services they are rubbish

    Live in a house with 5 people. Landlord installed talk talk. It’s terrible. Even when I’m only here, it’s so slow. Pages don’t load or time out. Streaming films take for ever. I hate talk talk. You pay for what you get as the saying goes and if you want rubbish internet, get talk talk !

    If I could rate as no stars i would, the worst service I have ever encountered. For 4 months I have complained about no connection, and for 4 months the direct debit was coming out of my account. I was on hold for an hour and a half each time, they sent a new signal, it did not work, upgraded the Pakage it did not work, eventually they sent out an engineer who arrived only to have been told the wrong information by the company, so nothing was fixed, the engineer adviced me to contact talk talk ASAP as they are likely to charge me 50 pound, and it is not my fault. I did and the 50 pounds was still taken out of my account. The rest of the month entailed me calling customer services trying to leave my contract as well as getting my money back. After many calls later i was told my contract has been cancelled and I would be issued compensation and to call back in a week. I did, after a 45 minute wait i was told compensation will not be issued as the issue is to do with my property not the Wi-Fi signal. (you can imagine my frustration) I asked if I could speak to a manager I was laughed at and said no. Absolutely shocking service which I intend on taking further.

    Absolutely tragedy! Using internet for only 2 months and where is always a problem. Internet doesn't work at all or the line drops and gets back after half and hour everyday.. really disappointed with customer service and managers - Useless!!! Spend 40min on the phone explaining about my sockets and if I didn't turn off the router myself.. Just ridiculous, never again!!!

    Abysmal service! Opted for the offer of 50 pound new line installation instead of 75 pound shopping vouchers. Engineer due on 26th of Jan. Had numerous text messages saying we would be charged if missed out appointment. Partner took holiday off work, no one came. Looked on talk talk app said our service was live. The line from original owners that probably had it for 10 plus years must be fine then. Plug Internet box in, nothing bar power light working. Call them they resolve issue over phone. Internet is good for three weeks then starts going on and off. Call them, they reconnect us. Same next month, goes for a few days. Call them they reconnect us. Same this month for over a week, we were busy so left it for the week, still not working. Checked my online bill and I had an 8.26 charge for calls. Calls we didn't make as we don't own an actual housephone to plug in. Time to call back. Explained the issue with phonebill and lack of Internet. Well I must of made the calls as they are on the system, I could add a package to save from future charges also I will have to pay 65 pounds for an engineer to come out to fix my phone line to receive Internet which I refuse to pay as they should of gave me a new line like I signed up for. After 10 mins I ask for a manager. Tell her I didn't make the calls as we don't have a phone. Offers to have outgoing calls blocked and 8.26 cleared as a goodwill gesture. Fine. Ask to be through to a tech manager to resolve Internet. Finally found someone who understands me and doesn't assume I'm lying to clear an 8.26 debt. Could well be an issue with a crossline and that would also mess the Internet up, just checking the lines etc charge for engineer is bull as we have had problems since day one, phone goes can't get hold of them for two hrs as they are updating their system, call back they can't help us as we have charges on our bill. Our bill is paid up to date our next direct debit due 1st of June. Got to pay it now, will put you through to billing department. Get put through. No I don't want to pay you I have a direct debit. Get me a manager. The only one with half a brain cell not there get put through to another moron. Got to pay 65 pound for engineer. Couldn't possibly be a crossline, we wouldn't know as we don't have a phone plugged in. Asked us to get a landline phone to check if there is. Explained we can't make outgoing calls anyway as we have requested a block on outgoing calls. Got told to just get a phone. Borrow a neighbours. Call back on mobile. Spouting on about we need an engineer and will cost us 65 pound if our line needs replacing but they can't help us as our service has been barred till we pay our bill and that department is shut. Asked for manager. He was. Bull. Round 763 today!

    Having been with AOL broadband for many years (had problems but always got any issues sorted) I was told by them that I should register with Talk Talk. Bad move that was...I was told I could transfer at no cost, then was charged. After realizing their mistake my a/c was credited back with the money. I already had a credited balance, which I tried for 6 months to have returned and was promised on 7 occasions that this would be done by the time I received my next bill. 12 months on I have not received a penny, only having my bills deferred against my credit balance. I am now receiving scam calls allegedly from Talk Talk. My broadband keeps disconnecting as well. I have reported these issues to their uncooperative customer services (can't understand half of them) and asked to be released with out charge from my contract, which runs out in June, the answer was no chance. This company has zero customer service and poor performance levels and should be avoided like the plaque. If you're thinking of joining them...quite simply....don't do it.

    OMG. Just don't bother with these idiots. This is the worst thing I have ever paid money for in my life. Broadband speed started off at 550. Now we never get over 90-100. Downloads so slow and hogs your entire speed so you can't stream tv AND download at the same time. It keeps kicking me off the net and you can't understand a single word the customer service people are saying - and that's IF you can get past the stupid automated service,which down right lies to you. When you can understand what they're saying, the tie to you too!. These so-and-so's should be taken out and shot. Utter garbage. You should be ashamed of yourselves for your sub-human behaviour. I will sue you! I can't even give you the rating you deserve (0 stars), because you can't rate lower than one star! In fact you are even lower than that.

    Absolutely terrible. Called loads of times and issue has not been resolved. The connection is very very unreliable and when accessible it is extremely slow. For any customers looking for an internet provider, choose anything but this trash!!!!

    If I could give them less I would, worst broadband speed ever, worst customer service and when we "upgraded" to fibre optic, we were left without broadband and phone line for over a week. Since "upgrading" the internet has never been worse. 90% of the time we have to pay for costs of an engineer to come out and fix talk talks problems

    I wish i could leave an even lower score. I switched my broadband on the 30th november 2016 and nothing has worked properly ever since. The only thing they have been efficient with, is taking my money. Luckily because they did not bother to fix my problem within the 28 day time frame i have been lucky enough to escape the £280 they were demanding i paid to leave, even though they never provided me with anything that worked. I spent hours trying to get this sorted and one night alone i spent 3 hours on 1 call, they constantly passed me from one department to another and then eventually just hung up. Please don`t waste your time or money. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH

    I would give it 0 stars if I could. Talktalk broadband is appalling! I was with EE before and had great broadband with them, only cut out once in 3 years and that was due to a very bad storm we had. However I was paying nearly £50 a month with them so thought I would go on the comparison sites and see if I could save myself some money and Talktalk had a good sign up deal on so I went for it. Boy I wish I hadn't. I've gone from having internet that cut out once in 3 years to internet that cuts out every darn day of the week no matter what the weather is like. Multiple times a day too, and don't even bother trying to play games online with your friends because the game will just lag constantly. Even hooking the gaming laptop via the ethernet cable doesn't make it any better. Also don't bother with customer service as they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I have had numerous duels with their call handlers regarding what they are going to do about it but all they suggest every time is to send me a new router when I have explained to them that the router is not the issue. They will say one thing and do another too, one of them told me one day that as I was having problems they would send me out a new router and if I try it out and it does not sort the issues they would allow me to terminate my contract with them without having to pay the early termination fee, and said they would put a note on my account with this information so whoever deals with me next will know the situation. So I did that and the new router made zero difference and I rang them up again to set about terminating my contract so I could switch back to EE and they said there was no note left on the account about this and basically made me out to be a liar. They are absolutely disgusting avoid like the plague.

    We moved to new address recently and called TT ahead of time, the agent said no same service available in the new postcode. I wanted to cancel as we like the amount we were paying for the service we had. She offered for me to stay with them and give me fiber 65 instead for same price we are paying before and 1st 3months free ! But she cudnt make those changes as the new account has not yet been activated. She said tol call TT once new service is up n running in the new address.

    So enginer came yesterday and install the service, no issues, then i called today as wat the previous agent told me to do so, to inform them about the adjustment etc.. ive had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! its started okay then later the 1st agent kept putting me on HOLD, after an hour on the line , a different agent got back to me without any idea why im with him!!!!!!! So i ended up explaining again n again , went thru security questions again, then he put me on hold again for almost AN HOUR! Just to tell me about an issue that im not complaining about!!.. so he ended up transferring me to the loyalty dept , which call lasted for almost another hour!!! And had no idea whatsover about whats going on! So again explain EVERYTHING FROM THE START!!!! She seemed not very engaging and enthusiastic to talk to. Anyway, she said that SHES NOT ABLE TO GIVE WHAT THE PREVIOUS AGENT OFFERED ME! So why the hell they put me on this new service then if theyre notbeing true to their words!!!!! The only reason i agreed to continue with them was because of wat the previous agent offered!!!..

    You CANT GET A HOLD of a proper customer service with TT, someone who will try to assist you and solve your queries, i ended up shaking out of anger because of my HORRIBLE experience!!!!!

    If I could leave 0 stars I would. Had intermittent phone and broadband for 3 months which they couldn't resolve so argued my way into cancellation. Rang me 3 weeks later to ask me why and try and turnaround the cancellation which is lazy and ridiculous and said it was because they didn't send the correct router. Terrible customer service, never call back when they say they will. No customer service skills as they all sound like robots. Worst provider I've ever come across. Was getting 2.1 speed if I was lucky when it worked.

    What a lot of rubbish. I have never heard such a pathetic attempt from customer services. One of the so called managers called me today regarding my bill. And because of personal & medical circumstances they want me to provide a doctor's letter of proof of my condition so that they can supposable help me with my bill. So just a little warning to all out there next time you need a sick note please ask your doctor for one to send to this pathetic braodband provider. I am so upset,angry and disappointed with this out come. They also cut off my broadband expect me to pay the remaining balance plus they have added another £150 on top of it due some legal stuff.

    Poor from day one . now have no TV as we were misinformed by sales department . we are now going to be charged for engineers visit . Customer service phone number out of service for last two days ! Great !!!! I wish I had looked at these reviews as I would never have changed to this BAD SERVICE PROVIDER .

    I took a out an internet service with talk talk and found out after being with them 2 months I had 2 contacts with them ,and after talking to one of the team about the bad service I was getting the sent me an email saying that after I had spoken to someone at talk talk I owed them £85 pounds, this is the worst company I have ever been with and when I left for another company called ee they talk talk ask me to pay them for the router I sent back they kept this up for a least 2 years till finally I wrote a letter to there head office and then they sent me a letter saying I owed them nothing all I had when I was with talk talk was problem after problem ,since I signed up with ee I have never had any problems with them and I get the internet and landline like every one else at a reduced rate which never go ups avoid talk talk at all cost there worst company I have ever been with

    do not deal with this company becauce they have ripped me of i had a tv sim with my package with in a week of activated the sim they apply charges of 262 within 2 weeks i had only text with it i had not used the internet at all this company is robbing people out of money is anyone had the same experience has me i am going to try and get my money back when you ring them they do not want to know they can not get away with this

    TalkTalk is the worst internet provider ever.
    No one should use it, and if you do, you have to leave them as soon as possible. Their advisors are useless as most answers are generated by machine. I had a problem with speed issues as it was less than 1 megabyte and I was always ignored.
    I've decided to go further and registered a complaint, do you think anything happened? Nothing! After 1 month I've made another complaint, and it was ignored again. I result when I asked one of TalkTalk advisors what is happening with my complaints? He said, the they are marked as resolved.
    The first time they actually called me and asked what is happening was only when I stopped my direct debits. In result when I was trying to break the contract, i was given different number for termination fee, first time it was 70£, then it was 50£, in result I've got a bill of 192£, which is totally stupid. I've decided to paid it off as it was worthless to speak to anyone of them, as I was always ignored, same felling as speaking with a wall. And even after I've paid that amount, they can not correctly terminate my contract and can not event send me my receipt.

    No one should use TALKTALK, you will have more problems than benefits.
    It is the worst provider ever and must be closed and investigated by police

    We were using TalkTalk for a few years. Their TalkTalk broadband was crap always, but usually, after a day or so, we used to get it to reset and we were able to use it. We kept the TalkTalk contract because their telephone service was okay and the package as a whole was at a good price. However, since Friday evening, 22nd April 2022, our broadband was down. Since we couldn't log in to our online account, and their office was closed, we rang TalkTalk on Saturday morning, 23rd April, and reported the fault. TalkTalk guys advised us of the usual reset exercises, and we spent 1 hour doing all those things but nothing was working. It was difficult to understand much of the stuff that their call centre in the Philippines talked to me, and I had to frequently ask for clarification. Anyway, the TalkTalk lady from the Philippines advised us to call back after 20 minutes, after fully disconnecting and rebooting the router, but nothing worked.

    When we rang back on Saturday (23rd April), but we were blocked by the TalkTalk automated telephone system, saying that they are working on the previously reported fault. We rang TalkTalk several times, on Saturday and Sunday, and Monday morning, but the message was that TalkTalk was closed. So, we had to take a day off from work on Monday. We rang TalkTalk again after 10 am on Monday morning, and after attempting a few options, we got someone from TalkTalk by the name of Leona. She also repeated the whole exercise again. I repeatedly asked her to escalate the matter to the specialist team or to send an engineer, but the TalkTalk lady was beating the bush, and I was compelled to do all that the TalkTalk lady asked me to do. Yet, we got no broadband signal on our router. I requested to speak to a manager, but the manager was in a meeting. I said I will wait and haven't got time to speak to me. She agreed that she will escalate the matter, once the final rebooting is not fruitful. Anyway, I spent almost 3 hours on Monday on their calls.

    I rang back in the afternoon, (Monday, 25th April) to report that full rebooting which she asked me to do again wasn't again not working. But the lady who picked up the call at that time wanted to know everything from the scratch and I had to repeat the whole story. It was a person by the name of Dera and she insisted to do another round of technical checking before the matter can be escalated to the specialist team. So, I was compelled to again spend hours repeating their technical checks on my line, and nothing worked out. In the end, after much pressure, the TalkTalk lady agreed to transfer the matter to the specialist technical team. When I asked her, what is the next step forward, the TalkTalk lady promised me a call from the specialist team, and I requested her to give me a call on that day itself (Monday) or else, by Tuesday morning. Since we were without broadband for many days, I was anxiously waiting for the call from TalkTalk. But there was no call from TalkTalk on Monday or Tuesday.

    I understood that TalkTalk team members are so irresponsible, arrogant, and do not care about their customers. Meanwhile, when I checked my TalkTalk online account from outside to report this matter through their online system, but it seems TalkTalk had already shut my TalkTalk online account. Seems weird. Maybe to avoid any messages from me through the online system. Hence, decided to leave TalkTalk. Today, I rang TalkTalk to request for cancellation and they brought up the termination charges, which I felt upsetting. How harassing and insulting, are they? Also, they haven’t responded to me clearly how I will be compensated for my discomfort and inconvenience due to the lack of their service. Anyway, I served TalkTalk the notice to cancel their service. Waiting for their letter. Looking for a better service from a better broadband and telephone provider. Any advice?

    Absolutely dreadful. I can cope with a relatively slow broadband connection (despite paying for what should be a much faster one) because I don't tend to do anything that needs a particularly high download speed. What I cannot cope with though is the complete and utter unreliability of it as completely fine one moment becomes something slower than dial up the next.

    I was told I was using fast fiber and getting upto 37 mbps down and 2 up. I am only getting approx.* 19.4 down and 1.2 up. This is just appalling, some people have 200mbps and I am only getting less than 20! This causes a huge loss of productivity because I am waiting almost twice as long to upload or download large files.

    A few months ago my internet was not working completely. It took several weeks for someone to find the issue, the cable from the phone line to the pre filtered socket was broken and needed to be replaced. Recently, it has been breaking and I have unplugged and plugged the front of the pre filtered socket twice. I hate this and wish I could change! :(

    I couldn't get an order for fibre internet for 2 weeks. They weren't sure if they could provide one in my area or not. When they finally booked the installation it was for the regular broadband (as they mistakenly checked the fibre availability), and it was booked for a different address. Moreover I couldn't log into MyAccount to do anything about it!
    ...but it wasn't over! They started to harass me to return the device they sent to the wrong address in the first place! The funniest part I called them again, and they setup another order right after they "cancelled" the first one, but it wasn't the case. I still had the old installation booked. How was that possible while hanging around 4h on the phone talking to customer service (I couldn't book anything online) is beyond my comprehension. I called another another ISP, and in 15 minutes I had everything booked, and the internet was on two days later.

    Wow, I have used every broadband in the country but these guys are by far the worst. 0.96mb download and 1.2mb upload for almost £40 per month.

    So ive had the broadband installed, but the TV doesnt get installed until next week. However, i found out my cooling off period ends today, which is a week before the TV is even installed?????????????

    Now I understand why they tie you into 2 YEAR CONTRACTS and put the COOLING OFF PERIOD TO END, BEFORE SERVICES ARE INSTALLED.
    Please be aware.

    I called the customer services (in south africa) and they are unable to help improve the speed of less than 1mb. So i have had no choice to to cancel before my cooling off period ends.

    Lucky I found this out today. I mean who:
    - put a cooling off period to end before the services are installed
    - sells broadband at nearly £40pm with speeds of 1mg

    Dont trust this company 1 bit.

    talktalk have been terrible throughout - i paid for data and calls and texts and for months received no data
    when i called them they had no solutions
    they would not give me my pack code when i wanted to leave
    and they charged me £50 for the data that i did not received

    I have a 20 mb broad ban form my apparment (city centre), wich is totally useless, and I often have troubles even opening normal web pages. Defenitely avoid Talk Talk!

    Terrible terrible terrible service! If you want to spend a considerable proportion of your life on the phone to incompetent staff then talk talk is right for you. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

    I was paying £27 a month and not being able to get online for more than 3 months. They said the problem was on my end (hours and hours on the phone, being hung up on just to find this out) they then sent an engineer around without telling me. Engineer was missed. After leaving talk talk and going to another provider I HAD INTERNET CONNECTION so obviously no problem at my end!

    Oh and a couple of months later they took £65 out of my account for the missed engineers appointment. So even after leaving them I’m still on the phone day after day and have had to get my bank involved as they keep telling me they’re looking into it and they will call me back and not doing so.

    My parents had exactly the same problem paying them every month for no internet connection and spending hours on the phone. You wouldn’t pay for a car full of petrol and leave the station without the petrol would you? Do yourself a favour and go with plus net or any other provider.
