    Since having this terrible broadband it had dun nothing but fail every day through out the day....call customer service and can't understand a word what they say...ive now had 5 men to come out to my home and fix the problem only to find it's not been fixed at all. Do not go with talk talk they havnt a clue what planet they are on ! Waste of my time

    WORST BROADBAND EVER. VERY SLOW, KEEPS GOING OFF AND CALL CENTERS ARE RUBBISH. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Suddenly it will drop for about 10-20 minutes and then will buffer pathetic

    I was mis-sold talktalk by a door to door salesman. I'm registered disabled and vulnerable with the police I advised of this to the salesman and he coerced his way into my property and carried on signing me up.

    I've attempted to cancel since the 01/07/2022 and still on fighting with them. They've taken £57.05 for a bill which was supposed to be free for 3months. They've left me with no money for food. I work full time and can't afford for things like this.

    AVOID THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY

    I hired broadband with this company after a really bad experience with EE.
    In less than a week I have my wifi connected and working.
    My appointment was in a month but after calling them thet arrange it in 3 days.
    The router came also very quick.

    Having spent months paying £50 plus a month for a basic phone and broadband service after our contract lapsed,we opted to change provider. An order was raised and a switchover date agreed - 3 days before, the order was mysteriously cancelled by a 3rd party unknown. A second order was duly raised with the new provider with an inevitable delay - the day before the agreed switchover date the order was once again mysteriously cancelled, with accompanying emails from Talk Talk stating how glad they were that we were staying. Investigation by the new provider showed that it was TalkTalk themselves who had cancelled both switchovers without authorisation - so a third order was instituted, this time as a house move to avoid 3rd party interference, meaning a change of phone number we didn't want. In the meantime with all the delay, our broadband stopped working then our phone. Thinking we were still with Talk Talk I logged a fault call only to be told the contract has been terminated and would need to be reactivated via, guess what, a new order. Our go live date with the new provider is 12th August and we will have been without broadband or phone for 3 weeks plus. That date can't be come too soon and the service will be a third of the price. My advice is avoid Talk Talk like the plague. They play dirty, won't let you leave and there is no way of escalating a complaint or reporting their illegal tactics. The independent mediator isn't interested until you've spent 8 weeks trying to resolve the problem. Life's too short and Talk Talk have effectively got away with it. We won't touch them with a barge pole again and strongly advise others not to either. Once you're in they wont let you out.

    It is impossible to have any dealing with their call centre that takes less than 50 mins. I'm almost in tears. My service has been poor since the start of the contract and every time I get in touch we just go back to square one. Please go nowhere near them. It's so worth paying a bit more just to not have to deal with them

    Do not go with Talk Talk! I was automatically transferred over from Tesco and since being a Talk Talk customer I have had nothing but issues. The broadband service has been down for three weeks. I have complained continuously and nothing has been done. They promised me phone calls back and I left them my mobile as the house phone was obviously not working and I heard nothing from them When I rang back to complain I had not heard from them they lied saying they had tried to phone me and because I had not phoned back within 24 hours they had closed the complaint even though they had already admitted to there being a big issue in my area! The second time I rang back they said they didn't have a mobile number for me (even though I had previously left it!) so I can only presume they were trying to (if they even bothered at all) to ring me on the land line that I was complaining was not working! The customer service is horrendous I have spent a lot of time on the phone being passed round from department to department getting nowhere until I eventually cancelled my contract with them as what is the point in paying for a service that you are not getting. Even that was difficult I would seriously not recommend them. They do not even deserve one star. They are incompetent and they clearly do not communicate with each other. Now they are trying to bill me for the entire time there services have been down which I will not be paying.

    Absolutely awful company, shocking customer service. Only use if you're prepared to spend half the time on the phone to them due to problems. They will give you a scheduled call block time and then not call, they will give you an appointment to fix the Internet and not show up. They will turn up when interne5s working well and say there was a reported issue, which after they have finished working on leaves you with no Internet, despite it working fine before their visit.
    After spending hours on the phone they will promise £10 compensation and then never deliver. Rude staff. Terrible experience. Feel so unvalued as a customer. AVOID!!!!

    Well I placed an order for broadband middle of last month, waited in all afternoon fir them to hook it up, no show contacted them who said they had cancelled my order, as I wanted to keep my number, I don’t know where you got this from, but as I don’t even use my landline just the broadband that wouldn’t have been a problem, I wasn’t told about this, I wasted all this time, plus more time getting passed online to talk to the right department etc, they don’t care, now I have to wait until the 16th of October to get another company to instal broadband, as my old internet stops on the 14th leaving me without internet. When I had left well enough time ......... I am so angry. I also work ten hour per day. So I don’t really have that much time to waste. So thank you very much for nothing. You are an absolute disgrace of a company

    Terrible, just terrible. We were moved to them from another provider, very slow broadband, 2mbps at times, now get 11 with new provider. First bill was wrong and we had to argue the toss to get it reduced to amount they'd told us in a letter. Move away was problematic, phone was moved first without warning incurring us £7 bill for phone calls to their useless and unhelpful 0870 customer service. Avoid at all costs, possibly the worst company I've had the mispleasure of dealing with, and I've dealt with Orange/EE.

    Absolutely disgusted... was talked into having talk talk. Firstly the engineer turned up and told me “sorry I’ve checked your connections and you cannot be set up today and oh I have not been given a tv box fir you either.. I was also told I’d need to purchase a £200-£300 Ariel too and he said I wouldn’t have been told this at the time, which I wasn’t
    He then left so I tried to contact talk talk - that was a joke eventually got through to some automated robot... I insisted they cancel it all then and there and I refuse to pay for a service I’ve never had. They eventually decide they’ll allow it to be cancelled within 7 days with no charges.

    Did they hell... they didn’t unblock the line so my new provider Sky could not connect then they ceased the cancellation and then charged me. I am now trying to sort this out between them and the new provider sky.

    I have now put in a complaint about their services or lack of and am awaiting a call back - no doubt it will be some automated robot
    Do not be conned into using talk talk they are the worst company I have ever come across. Absolutely disgusting

    Worst service I've ever had! Wish I never changed I wanted to save money but not lose service quality well I've lose service for less money house full of unhappy children I can't even watch Netflix with out it buffering! It'll be a long 18 months on this contract!

    Ordered Fiber 500 about 6 weeks ago. Installed on 8th March, no router delivered until 24th of March after numerous phone calls and hours of my time wasted. Router delivered was not the Eero that should come with my package and did not work. I still have no working broadband service 2 and a half weeks after install. Worst customer service I have ever had and I have signed up to a service they can’t provide. Don’t waste your time with TalkTalk fiber go with another provider I wish I had.

    I missed payment on my bill by 2 days the restricted my services on Sunday. I paid Monday morning at 8:30am my wifi still hadn’t been turned on so I spoke to somebody on the online chat and they assured my that by the end of the day my wifi will be reinstated. It got to 7:30 and nothing I went onto online chat again and they then told me they’d raise and escalation as there’s a bar on my account and that it can take 24-48 hours i waited until wednesday, still no wifi, I called and was on the phone for 2.5 hours being passed from one person to another none had a clue what was going on and when I asked for a manager they couldn’t get me one I had a text on Wednesday morning saying the manager would call me that day between 2-4pm I had no phone call then when I brought this up to them they said no it was for the 4th but on my text it clearly stated the 3rd/ the women I spoke to literally didn’t have a clue what she was doing she even admitted she didn’t have a clue. Talk talk hire people who don’t have half a brain on what to do and now they have whacked my bill up to £107 saying I hadn’t paid last months which I paid Monday and demanding payment for this month early which I am not doing! I will be changing networks to get away from this shambles of a company! If your thinking of joining steer clear! Awful rude customer service and they don’t have a clue what to do half the time!

    DO NOT DO IT......do not go anywhere near this company, by the time you get through you get a very polite person that apologises and then does nothing.

    Half the time they do not log your call, secondly they keep you on hold and thirdly they make promises they cannot keep.

    Appalling customer service appalling broadband speeds .....apparently fibre to be honest dial up was faster.

    I was told it was my devices, ok so my iPhone works perfectly well until I get home. Treated me like I’m some sort of idiot, even a fool could work that one out.

    They’re useless half of the staff you can chatting and laughing in the background.

    I will never ever go to this company again, I’ve wasted hours of my life calling them them going through speed checks, updating the router telling me I’ve enough internet speed and other sites tell me it’s very very slow and yet it’s still my devices, being passed from person to person to be disconnected.

    I would not even go to this company if I was desperate.

    Can't really comment on customer service as I've never had to contact them. I've had the faster fibre (38Mb) for just over a week now and haven't had a problem at all. After reading the reviews here I was worried about switching so have been closely monitoring the speed with regular speed test. Generally it sits at about 35-37Mb/s, I'd say about 95% of the time it's at this speed. Sometimes during peak times it dips to about 20 and once it went down to 14. Never had to reset the router and I get good signal to my phone all over the flat. Couldn't be happier that I switched.

    Talk Talk are THE worst! If you are even considering them - reconsider. I have been with a couple of providers but Talk Talk take the cake in terms of very bad service. I have been with them for 8 months and every single day without fail the internet cuts out multiple times, sometimes every few minutes which is very frustrating if you're watching something or ordering something. I have called them multiple times about it, they can not understand me in their foreign call centres which makes the entire phone call frustrating and painful. I am then passed to the technical team who run a diagnostics and tell me the internet is fine (it is FAR from fine - I don't have the internet!.) Each phone call lasts at least half and hour (on a good day) while I am passed from pillar to post. They have sent out an engineer THREE times who claims there's no issue but clearly there is because the internet barely EVER works. I don't have a tv package (it was rubbish) so I am paying them £40 per month for a non-existent internet. As soon as my contract is up I am gone. In the last 40 minutes the internet connection has vanished four times. Stay away from Talk Talk, they really are the very worst.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! This company are absolutely useless. The most appalling customer service I have ever received!! Tried to upgrade my broadband and was told everything was ready to go, two weeks later it still hadn’t gone live on the new plan. After over 3 HOURS on the phone I was told that it hadn’t been processed properly and they would have to cancel my account and set me up as a new customer which is shocking! Told them I wanted to cancel my account all together as I would be going with a new provider due to the terrible service I had received. Again was told this had all been proceeded and I would receive a final bill and it was cancelled effectively immediately. 10 days later the contract had still not been cancelled and they have just sent me a bill for another month. More hours on the phone and I was told they hadn’t actually cancelled the contract even though I had received the cancellation email. I was told there was nothing they could do and they would cancel it today but it is a 30 day cancellation process. Absolutely disgusted with the customer service and apparently there is no was for me to lodge a formal complaint.

    This company is a nightmare. One problem after another. They don't look after their customers and to get things fixed at times is so lengthy and complicated. Will NEVER go anywhere near this company again. Do yourselves a favour and don't buy into the cheap and enticing deals they offer you WILL regret it.

    Wouldnt even give them 1 star!! disgusting service, couldnt cancel a contract when asked to do so and still proceeding to contact me a year down the line for money... been to debt collectors even they got in contact with talk talk and i heard no more from them. Have been on the phone to Talk Talk for hours on end to sort this out and just get transferred to others and eventually hung up on. Complete lack of communication with themselves...Online chats promise call backs from managers that never happen..... Do not even entertain the idea of Talk Talk!!!!

    Absolute ridiculous excuse of a company. Had been with talk talk about 2 months before the issues started happening. For 3 whole weeks I was without Wi-Fi. The first time I called up they could not get an engineer out for days. The issue was not fixed. After calling up yet again another engineer was sent out. Surprise surprise the issue was not fixed. Again another engineer sent- ISSUE NOT FIXED. Finally, the last engineer visit a whole THREE WEEKS LATER the problem was resolved. To my shock, I was still expected to pay my bill this month with a promise of compensation. After calling yet again to chase this up, I was told I had to wait 30 days after the problem was resolved for this to reach my bank account. 30 days pass, no compensation. After calling again today, I’ve been told the issue has been escalated and yet again I have to wait 3-7 working days for this matter to be resolved. 3 weeks i had to go without a wage due to this incompetent company, being told I still had to pay the bill and still not received the compensation! They don’t have a bloody clue what they’re doing and I cannot wait for my contract to be up so I never have to deal with this again. Do not use!!

    I would not recommend anyone to go with talk talk they have poor customer service, I have had a problem with my broadband since October last year and is only getting sorted out now as I demanded a bt open reach engineer to come and fix the problem. I had to tell them how to do the job and what the problem is where my partner being in thus line of work he knew what the problem was. They didn't pass any information on to the people who needed to know and that they lied to me to tell me that they had sent my details to bt open reach and sent it back saying no fault.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I placed an order with them and paid upfront for line rental. I cancelled my contract 3 days later as their website kept crashing, they couldn't give me the installation date requested, and their call centre was in India making it difficult to understand if you needed help. 74 days later and having been given a multitude of lies, I am having to go through my credit card provider to get my refund. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY

    I rang up TalkTalk today to query about broadband. Very poor service over the telephone- the agent was trying so hard to sell me their TV package, claimed it was free, and added £5 per month onto the quote.

    In the end I told the agent that I did not want to proceed with the order with TalkTalk after having given some of my details, and I refused for a credit check to be undertaken.

    I received multiple missed calls and voicemail messages this afternoon and have just received an e-mail thanking me for my order! I am outraged that TalkTalk have put the order through without my consent- setting up payments from my bank account. This is disgraceful service. Stay away.

    Horrendous. Worst customer service I have EVER EVER experienced. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! You can phone up all the times you want, be on hold for hours, speak to no end of people, email, fill in their online chats, and you will STILL get NOWHERE!!!!! It has now been 11 months since i submitted a change of ownership on the account and still hasn't gone through, and it never will. Now after even more wasted hours I am trying to cancel and of course they still want to charge an extortionate fee. I am now liable for it all despite trying to change the ownership 11 months ago! They promise and promise to look into it and call you back, they never ever do. You can raise complaints and it will do nothing. AN EMBARRASSMENT OF A SERVICE!!!!

    Change your direct debts tell u one price n take a lot more! Customer services wouldn't even bother! A £22.90 a mth package has left me in 400 debt all because customer service didn't understand me asking to set a a direct debt up"! So now app I owe 3 mths which is 165! Yes 165 that's on a 22.90 package not got a levels in mths but by my adding up should only be 68.70 ! I explained I had rung serval times to set direct debt up and they'll have records as all calls are recorded for training. Nobody on customer service speaks or understands English .this isn't my fault !I have arranged to pay 30 a mth off the bill off 165, plus 24.90 for the package.Been told unless I pay the bill off they will be no service! So I said I want to cancel the 2 year contract as they miss sold me it in first place.can do that but I have to pay 369.48! So either way I get a massive bill n they'll be cutting my package. Fuming isn't the word! I have put a complaint in to talk talk. Am also writing to the ombudsman.

    Well, well, well... Dealing with Talk Talk has had to be the most infuriating and stressful situations I've ever had to deal with when moving home. I was told and had confirmed 3 times an engineer would be visiting my new address to sort my internet for me and this obviously lead to me taking a day off work and losing money. Once the engineer was late I called again (as I had been constantly anyway since around 8:30am and it was now around 1pm) to see where the engineer was and why he was late. I was told at this point I was given false information and that no engineer had been called out, even though I had spoken to 3 separate people who said that there is one on the way. I was endlessly being passed from person to person and was asked exactly the same thing with every single person (name, email address, home address, account number) and by the 20th or so person I had snapped and by this point it might of been around 3pm and this wasn't even the end of it.

    Through so much hassle, given false information and upon speaking to one person name Cindy I think, left me waiting whilst she took other calls because "there was nothing she could do, I was given false information". I said to her to why was she not hanging up the phone if she isn't going to help with my situation or at least put me through to somebody who might and she responded because she "isn't allowed to hang up on customers" which wanting to get this situation resolved, I stayed on the line. She completely ignored me, laughed at me, took other calls and had chats with her colleagues in the background whilst I waited for somebody to actually give a damn about my situation. I hung up after half an hour, and called back and demanded a manager and he was absolutely useless, telling me an engineer would be in contact soon and they were resolving my situation, but after everything I had been told already I didn't trust anything anybody was saying to me anymore. At the end of the call, it didn't feel resolved, I felt completely deflated. I had lost money taking a day off work, my partner was also speaking to them so he was missing hours whilst he was at work and I still had no engineer and I had been made to look a fool for the entire day, they just basically scooted me off the phone so that they didn't have to deal with me anymore.

    I'd left it an hour or so to calm down called them back and cancelled everything, the way they treat their customers is ridiculous and I didn't want to be apart of it at all. I was told about a cancellation fee of £70 which I scoffed at and responded that I had taken a day off work for this mysterious engineer who never arrived and had found out he had never been called in the first place. Around 7pm I was still fighting to not pay a cancellation fee, I had been on the phone the entire day and I refused because of the lack of customer service I had received. The final person I spoke to scrapped the cancellation fee and as apologies gave me my last months bill (£22..) as a refund.

    Even if you're reading the reviews and there are a few people saying "they're really good! Installation is excellent! Really quick speeds!" Then I have no idea who these people are or whether it's the company trying to boost their ratings because this does not happen with this company. Customer service, speeds and general awareness of them actually being able to run their company is just shocking.

    If you have managed to read this entire essay I've written, I hope I've managed to skew your decision to a different provider because I would not want to put anybody through the ridiculous amount of hassle I have had. I understand some people would choose to go with the cheaper options for broadband, which is exactly what I did, but it isn't worth it. Save your time and spend a little extra because you get exactly what you pay for with Talk Talk, which if I could put zero stars as ratings, I would.

    First bought this broadband in May 2014, and it's bad,bad,bad. I asked for fibre and they said they needed £500.00 to install a fibre broadband on my location. The speed is terrible. Disconnects every 2 minutes. I have to write this really quickly. IT'S A FRAUD. DO NOT TRUST THIS. THEY MANIPULATED ME INTO BELIEVING 60 mbps download speed and it's below 600 kb now. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE.

    Disgusted is an understatement ! Absolutely fuming with talk talk my bill has gone from £15pcm to £20pcm without any reason ! Try to get through on the web vhat anf they just ask what phone your using ! If i wanted to talk to carphone warehouse I would ring them ! Internet drops all the time can never watch anything to my fire tv stick, they completely ignore what your saying and never sort it, then they ask for a stupid amount to get out of the contract! Stay far away from talk talk they're literally untouchable and when you can understand them they make no effort to help, (middle finger to you talk talk)

    Terrible customer service!!!! Only just joined but we arr already cutting them off!

    Told that an engineer would come in a 6 hour period. No one showed up. After ringing for hourd, we were told no one was coming because they decided not to but no one had bothered to tell us. Customer service staff are extremely rude, unhelpful and inconsiderate.

    They do not disclose to you everything you need to know and they tell you one thing when you sign up but do not keep these promises once you have actually signed up and paid.

    Changed our landline number without telling us even though we requested to keep our old number. Even though they had changed it behind our backs they hadn't even told us what the number was!

    Broadband isnt even working!

    Avoid!!!!!! Honestly you've heard it here

    when the internet is working it is great,I'd say among the same level as the other providers. however recently there has been issues where the internet would go down for ten hours. we try contacting Talktalk which took us at least an hour or two with the customer service department (offshore) hanging up on us. we decided it was enough and decided to cancel the contract. if they sort out their customer service issues im sure the broadband issues would have been rectified as quick as possible.

    Dreadful, got promised 60mbps, got 1mbps for the first month, felt like i was back in 2002. disconnects EVERY night at midnight. and sporadically during the day. Worst service provider i have encountered
