    My experience was one of a completely incompetent company. They repeatedly cancelled my order for broadband, but no one could explain why, and then couldn't process as they were still trying to cancel!?!?!! No one seems to know what they're doing. Repeatedly failed to return calls. Took an hour and 4 people before anyone would acknowledge and take a complaint. Even then I had to chase my complaint, despite being assured it'd be dealt with in 24/48 hours. After 8 days someone left a message saying if you'd like to join us still please ring. Its a shame really, as I have been a previous customer a few years ago and they weren't bad then.

    Talk talk is ridiculous!! I hardly ever get the broadband speed I should! The internet is constantly dropping out and youview box is just a huge joke!!! Almost all recording fail, the box hardly registers the fact your pressing a button on the remote!! And now it keeps completely freezing when it feels like it!! Bare in mind I've only had this box for a few months and it's never been dropped or anything in my care!! I've tried to ring there "customer services" but been waiting for someone to answer but then it just hung up! And the second time I tried to call it took them over an hour to even answer!! The fact that the price is low doesn't even make it worth being with talk talk!! I wouldn't even give them 1 star!!

    The worse company from my life
    Definitely not recommend
    Very poor customer service,spend many hours on the phone for nothing,i try to cancel the contract from few week's now and they still charge me for nothing.
    Totally not recommend....run away haw far you can from this company

    My gosh where do i start ? I suscribed to a fast broadband service. It is soooo bad even normal youtube video cannot play properly. I used to be with skype on a normal broadband speed and it was so much faster and trouble free. I wanted to save money and went with talk talk. The speed keeps fluctuating every minute from 12 to 33 but even at the lowest that should be enough to play a simple video of two minutes !! Don't believe the numbers, don't believe the promises. This is a terrible service provider.

    Arranged an instalation engineer to call 6 weeks in advance. I am then pestered by texts and emails tellig me that if I was not there to let the engineer in it would entail a £65 charge. The time slot I was given was between 1 and 6pm. At 4.30 pm I am sent a text telling me the engineer will not be calling and to rearrange despiote me taking a day off work to wait in for the idiots. called their customer service and asked then for £65 failed enginer charge in recompense to me and their reaction was " We don't do that sir." I therefore cancelled the contract with Talk Talk even before the system was set up. If they cannot stick to their arrangements at the outset there is no hope for good service thereafter. AVOID.

    I signed up for Fibre broadband which apparently delivers up to 38Mb. I'm getting 1Mb. Absolute disgraceful. After complaining to Talk Talk, an engineer tried to fix the issue. Now I have no internet. Talk Talk promised to provide update but none was given. I called customer services and literally wasted hours, only to be told to wait a further 24 hours. So I waited and still no internet. Wastes more time talking to Talk Talk customer services who had no clue what was going on. Now told to wait another five days. Meanwhile I continue paying Fibre price for absolutely nothing.

    Talktalk charges less than other companies. But trust me, you get even less than what you pay for!

    Customer service is very bad, we've had problems with broadband speed since we moved into our house. I can not wait for the contract to end even after we been with Talktalk for quite a few years

    The worst company ever i had no broadband service for 3 months August September and October an engineer came out 10th October 2017 i thought it was fixed to my surprise is was not. I still had problem phone up they tested the line and said it was my router i only received my new router last week it seem fine for now. when i first had the problem in August i was told not to pay my bill wait until the 4th September i will get an email i did not receive anything so i called again and again about my bills i could see every month they added my bills all together called them put in complaints this is still going on they said they will be compensating me which they mean it goes toward you bill and i got 34.71 taken off my bill for 3 months WHAT A joke. I spoke to so many managers customer service there hopeless/I called yesterday to my surprise all of a sudden my package has gone up from 19.95 to 28.00 and i was then told it went up in September really jokers i was not notified of any changes and they still want me to pay 42 for October bill when my service came back last week NO i have been past around so much nobody could help used my phone to call nearly everyday nobody called me. Now one of the manager tried to give me a cheaper deal 25 for 18 months Hell NO Ombudsman here i come they are scammers rip offs only want your money don't care if you have no service i am so frustrated and angry. DON'T EVER GO WITH TALK TALK

    Well we went with talk talk for the good customer service... what a joke that is!! The people you speak to I don't even think made it through school let alone know how to be polite and help people out!! I'm still waiting for a phone call back about my "fiber" not working!!!! The router is complete trash and talk talk wouldn't send a working one out so had to get one!! As soon as Christmas is over with I will be changing provider as this provider is a joke! I will not be paying for something that doesn't even work! I actually give everything no stars but it wouldn't let me do that!!

    Here we are on the run up to Christmas again and this normally poor service becomes abysmal again, with the extra demand. The company does not invest enough to make its service work properly, it is criminal!
    Use anyone, pay any price, but avoid TalkTalk.

    I was with a company called TenTel and talktalk bought TenTel. When this happened I cancelled my account because I didn’t want to go with talktalk. However talktalk continued to take over the account even though I had already switched to sky. So I had now two broadband providers, one of them I was unware of until I started getting billed. I then cancelled talktalk a second time and told them I wasn’t paying because I had already cancelled and haven’t been using there services anyway. They said that was fine and to call back when I got my final bill the following week with a reference they had given me. And that’s what I did. When I called back they had no record of me and had moved my £20 detbit to a det collector and I now have to pay £61. This company’s customer service is disgusting and they shouldn’t be aloud to treat people like this.

    Wouldn't even give them 1 star. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Been arguing with them since 10th of February 2018 and STILL no getting anywhere with them. They refuse to admit they're wrong. Been promised compensation but they calculate it a very unfair amount which make everyone sad. waiting.over 15 phone calls, many engineers and managers involved and STILL NOTHING.

    It is the worst Internet provider. My connection is lost several times every evening, so playing online with my x box is a real nightmare. After calling them they always reassure me that there is not any problem at all. My opinion about their services is quite negative and I will not recommend Talk Talk to any of my friends.

    I have had nothing but issue with TalkTalk. I signed up and had a engineer turn up on the second of October. On the 3rd of October i called to find out why my line kept dropping out. They then ran a line test and said they was a fault found and i would have to pay £50. I was not happy about this outcome so i spoke to a manager. The manager confirmed that there was not a fault found and that i had been given incorrect information. After then i made a complaint about this issue and after a few days i was compensated £3.50 and told that my bill is £13.50 and that after the compensation it would be £10.00 and due on the 2nd of November. I then checked my bill this morning (after the line is still playing up but i cant deal with calling over and over to do the same line test over and over again) and my bill was £29.80 and due on the 16th of October. I then checked my contract and i had the same 2nd November there too. I have just got off the phone with a manager and he has informed me that no where does it say 2nd November and that i had been speaking to a technical department who has no right to give bill information as they do not know. He has then continued to tell me there is a £5 charge on my account for anytime calls that i didn't ask to have on my account.

    I will keep this on as its useful but again i had not been informed of this add-on. I have also been told many many times that i would get a call back and never do. Half of the staff cant understand a word i am saying and the over half just lie non stop. This has been confirmed by off com that this is a breach of contract and that if this issue is not resolved then i have the right to exit my contract without fee. I have also been told if its confirmed that i had been given the incorrect date, the date wont be changed this month. If this issue is not solved, i will be leaving my contract and i will be taking further action if there is any charge.

    Worst mistake moving to talk talk and on my 7mb line i mostly get 2mb most. Other day a 24 hour speed test even showed a 0.60mb for 3 hours. This is not acceptable and its disguising that i have been lied to so many times. If i have to exit my contract and i am charged, i will be taking legal action.

    I am so disgusted by TalkTalk's service that I don't particularly wish to spend any more time than necessary thinking, speaking or writing about them - they have already wasted enough of this.

    So in generic brief, they are the most pathetic providers of any service I have ever come across. Their customer service is outrageously appalling and you purchase their services at your own (considerable) risk!

    Appallingly bad service from TALK TALK. I am moving home to a new build and, as the post code is not on their system, it was a case of "computer says no". What they could not manage over 4 days and telephone conversations lasting 6 hours, BT sorted out in 30 minutes. Never again.

    Just terrible. Broadband has been steadily getting worse to the point where it can't even run basic programmes like Netflix. Customer service is terrible - the staff are so unhelpful and sarcastic and seem to just make things up on the spot. Three engineers sent and still the problem hasn't been fixed - not surprising as (despite telling them there was no problem with the line) two of the engineers were line engineers who weren't qualified to check/fix the broadband.

    Switching to Virgin.

    So tesco sold the perfectly decent service to talk talk. It drops out all the time. Under tesco my service was excellent - never dropped out and the customer service was brilliant. I phoned talk talk to tell them i wasnt happy. Im a network engineer so told them not to give me any flannel. Oh my days. They did an end to end test and said that there was nothing wrong with the line but they would send an engineer anyway. Apparently they could see when my service dropped out and actually said the weather could be affecting it. Yes - it could - if i was relying on a microwave service. So ive switched. And i cannot wait. Avoid avoid avoid

    These are the most poorest disgusting internet service providers! Speeds so slow a snail would be faster..line drops..you will have to constantly disconnect & reconnect. Now for the customer services..hahaha what a joke...they try to fob you off stating there is a problem with your phone & not with the broadband! They send engineers to 'fix' this which as they say will soon improve your speeds! Customer services think this will pacify you..which of course it doesn't. The bills you receive ate never right unexplained charges appear! We have now cancelled the service after only 3 months...and do not have any early exist fees to pay..the way to do this is stand your ground with them argue & keep on at them...

    Use this company at your peril. After 4 aborted engineer visits to fit fibre, 6 hours + on the phone, taking excess money out of our bank, and basically refusing to let us complain. This outfit have to be the most unprofessional bunch I have ever encountered. The keystone cops siding to mind. Don’t say you have not been warned !!!!

    Got six months left will be buying my contract out broadband garbage I’m getting between 1.37 to 4 if lucky fast broadband my a..e phoned up to sort out that’s a joke would stay if they helped

    This company is the worst company ive ever dealt with. We havent had 2/3 services for a month and lost all recordings. Promised calls so stayed in all day. I had to ring them to be told a call back had been arranged for two days after being promised. DO NOT SUGN UP TO THESE JOKERS

    if you got 3 hours to spare every few days to phone customer service with the problems from this company then go ahead and sign up with them. But please believe me you'll be crying once you have signed up with the Talk Talk company, Total lies / problems from this provider is yet the worst of all, Regards hope this can help others to ** AVOID **

    Appalling service.. no internet over christmas thro THEIR fault not ours. Could not use smart tv or any internet sites. Most miserable time ever. Poor communication. No sense of urgency.

    Again I was bitterly disappointed with talk talk service. Organised a home move a month in advance, they stopped my service at the old flat a day early and then didn't start the new one until 5 days later. Tried to sort through online chat and just 'computer says No'. To charge a monthly bill with 5 days of no Wi-Fi is a joke. Don't be pulled in by the cheap prices.

    Been With TalkTalk for over a year now, constant problems with broadband speed. (Average speed of 6.88 Mb ) Complained many times had engineers out speed would go up to about 11Mb for a short time and them back to 6.88Mb.
    Call TalkTalk again today and again they said that the fault was at my end and that they will need to send out an engineer out. I insisted to speak to a manager, as I wasn’t prepared to put up with this any more as I felt the problem was at their end. Got put through to a English speaking person. Where I was informed that the problem was at their end and that it was because of filter they have sorry cant remember what it was called. In a nutshell and in the managers words. He said that It is up the a manager if this filter is on or not . He said that he has removed the filter and asked me to check the speed; from 6,88Mb it went to 15.89Mb
    All I can say is if you are having similar problem aske to speak to a manager.
    It is what I suspected they are in control of the speed. TalkTalk have totally ripped me off for the past year and wasted my time.

    Shocking! The engineer was a week late in setting it up.It ran at a maximum of about 0.4 MB’s per second, and not even two weeks into my service my broadband was cut off for no reason and no warning. I got an email saying that a third party company informed them that I wanted to cancel my subscription. I rang up about it and after a two hour phone call where I had to set up my account and subscription again with someone who I couldn’t understand and they couldn’t understand me, I had to wait another two weeks ‘maximum’ for an engineer to come set up again. I’m a student and I need the internet for my assignments and my TV. The two weeks have passed and no sign of the engineer. Absolute disgrace. No regard for their customers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

    I wish i had read these comments before joining up with talk talk. I have never known such rubbish customer service. They are very rude when you can get a word in. The customer service manager was shouting at me and wouldn't stop over quizing my bill iv never over the phone been spoke to like that especially someone im giving business to. I reported it and they closed the case because i said so. Never would i want the case closed. Even after i made the complaint they wasn't very helpful and said if u really want we will send an apology letter out to you.it wasn't taken seriously so dont know why i bothered. I would never ever recommend talk talk they are first class a***h**** !!!!!!

    I signed up for broadband in March and emphasized how I needed internet set up quickly. After they said it would be 10 days, I asked to cancel but was convinced not to after they gave me a cut price and said I may be able to get a cancellation. It has now been over a month, they have sent 4 different engineers so far and fobbed me off all over the world.

    If it works straight out of the box, you may be fine, but if anything goes wrong with your talktalk service, you are screwed, their customer service is awful. My phone bill is now at £134 for the amount of calls I have had to make and data I have had to buy.

    They have a trick they have used on me 3 times now, they call me up to say all is working. I am at work so can't test but when I get home, I find it still isn't resolved. I get a text message telling me the incident is resolved.

    BT have confirmed there is no problem with the line, the issue is with the routing of numbers on talktalk's system.

    Worse service I ever used. Problems with the service from the day it went live. They tried to over charge me twice and within the probation period they are charging me to leave. They failed to inform me of advance charges. The internet speed is very slow the download speed I should have is 16.5 and its only at 6mb the upload isn't even 1mb. If you don't wanna be messed around I don't recommend this company.

    TalkTalk undoubtedly are the worst broadband company in the UK. Not only is the "fastest" WiFi they offer dreadfully slow, we've been fortunate if we can go two weeks without a connectivity issue. Also, whenever we called Customer Services to correct these faults, we've either been told the issues will "fix themselves" or there's nothing they can do for a few days.

    This company puts up it's prices frequently without telling customers, and refuses to let my household switch providers (our contract with TalkTalk has already ended, so we should legally be free to leave) without a leaving fee of almost £150.

    If you're reading this review to see whether or not you should use TalkTalk, I recommend you avoid this inept, completely unprofessional company like the plague.

    One of the worst customer service I have even experienced in my entire life, I have been with TalkTalk for three years just cancel the contract today, they always lie to you, waste your time and don’t really give a crap about customers.

    Now they said they will charge me extra even though my contract is ending on the 26th of august, because I had to give 30 days notice, it’s been taking me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get through to the right department, they have been transferring me from one department to another, I went through the headache please you don’t go

    Very slow average download speed 4.5 and upload 0.7. Keep phoning talk talk and they run tests which takes on average about 25minutes. Then they say it is fixed and speed will improve over next 24 hours but the last 2 occasions it actually got slower. And now it keeps on disconnecting, which they say isn't their fault but it's and surprise surprise by say it isn't their fault. Completely fed up with it all.

    If I was given the option for no stars I'm afraid I'd have done so for every one from the above. The "customer service" is nonexistent, very unhelpful and kept hanging on the phone for ages. The reliability is abysmal, as in its not reliable. I have been with them under 3 months and have had 3 separate faults which all told took them over a week to resolve. WARNING STEER CLEAR OF THIS PROVIDER!!!

    Talk talk JUST WANT money and offer NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR INTERNET!
    Time delay on phone is shocking. have no idea where the agents are based, trying to communicate is awful.

    Talk talk cancelled my account 2 days after going live, was told is my fault!!!
    After a speaking to 9 people, via online chat and via telephone, I was advised to call back in 48 hours to re order, apparently another provider was installing Internet in my property!
    I didn't request this and it certainly hasn't happened.
    i called back, guess what, I was advised, I'd have to wait another 2 weeks to go live!!!!! How can you reconnect the Internet if you advised another provider had installed Internet in my property???
    What absolute rubbish!
    Clearly an error on there part, blame the customer then expect them to wait for a further 2 weeks, on top of the initial 2 weeks for Internet!
    I was advised they have more important customers to deal with, even tho this was not my fault, I'd not cancelled My services I simply just wanted the Internet!

    I've spent 4 hours of time completed wasted, speaking to incompetent people who offer 0 help to resolve!
    No customer service.
    Rude agents.

    I asked to raise a complaint which has taken me 3 people, 2 additional hours of my time, to get, well you guessed nowhere!!!!!!
