    Charged for a home move which I was told was free but was charged £85, Bill went up by 90% and was told I was no longer entitled to the contract I signed up for. Bounced from Bangladesh to the Congo to be told it was their mistake and it would take a week to get my money back. Luckily was still in the cooling off period as for some reason they had renewed my Co tract instead of carrying it over so cancelled it. 1/10 would not umbongo again.

    This company is a joke I have them for less than 2 weeks and never worked properly so I cancelled before 14h days now they try to bring me to court and want me to pay 400£ ...dream on! Let’s them come home they can get nothing worth money! Ahahahh

    The worst company I have ever had to deal with. First we had a three week wait for internet only to discover that they recorded our address wrong, then another three week wait while they set up a new account with the correct address. Then another one week wait for an engineer only to have internet for 12 hours before it cut off again. We are now having another wait for an engineer. Their customer service line is terrible. The people there have zero common sense and ask you to repeat back everything 7 times. You find the calls take at least an hour and there is never a resolution. Indeed the first 30 mins seems to be repeating your name and post code over and over because they can’t find you on the system. You also have to start the whole story from scratch when you call up because they are not making proper file notes. It is soul destroying. We are also paying quite a lot each month on mobile charges while this is being sorted. So my advice is run away as fast as you can from this company. I cannot emphasise enough how bad they are. Go with anyone else.

    Honestly I wouldn't even give talk talk 1 star if I had an option for Zero.

    Aside from the terrible intermittent internet which persisted for half a year. They charged us for bt open reach engineers who evidently didn't fix the problem which persisted. after finally agreeing to allow us to cancel our contract without cancellation fees I discovered they charged us again for the most recent engineer visit £65. Customer service is ridiculous. I am fairly sure I have wasted over 10 hours of my life speaking to them over the course of a few months.

    I have endured 4 years of utter misery (I know, more fool me) at the hands of TalkTalk and have nothing positive to say about their broadband service. It appears that the company has no regard for rural broadband customers and I ended up with download speeds as low as 0.03 Mbps and regular disconnections. I have wasted around 50-60 hours on the phone to technical support, never the same person twice and they were completely unhelpful. I wrote numerous letters of complaint that were never acted upon and more often than not ignored. What they tried to do, despite several engineer visits form TalkTalk & Open Reach, was to cleverly try to blame each other, but TalkTalk never showed any willingness to address the issues. Ofcom didn't want to know because ironically, the problems had gone on for more than 8 months! The day I transferred to PlusNet the download speed shot up to 2Mbps, the maximum for my phone line. I couldn't recommend TalkTalk broadband to anybody. They are a really shocking company with the worst customer service that I have ever encountered.

    A customer for over 7 years, with 5 separate lines all with broadband etc, paying £29.50 per line + vat, per month. Started having problems about 8 weeks ago with some lines down for more than 3 weeks, received silly texts saying service now working, when it was obviously not, spent hours on to customer services being passed from pillar to post, put on hold for 25 /50 minutes, no feedback no updates, the final straw for me was asked to dismantle the phone socket as the problem went from being a line fault identified by this super check to being an issue with my socket, and after a heated debate as to whether its a technician that should resolve this or me the paying customer having to do it myself, in the end, I have decided that all 5 lines will be moved to another provider and I never want to hear from TalkTalk again, in a word "unprofessional".More expensive than others, atrocious customer service, BYE BYE TALKTALK.

    TalkTalk were never much cop when I was with them as a customer but since I left them they have plumbed the depths of non-customer service.
    My marriage broke up FOUR YEARS AGO come September. I left the home we shared, and transferred the bills to my former partner, so she could continue to enjoy the services they were providing. Generally they were efficient in transferring their client accounts to the new householder. Not so TalkTalk. I completed a form authorising the transfer of the account and sent it to one of their data centres, in Southampton. Clearly as soon as they received the form that should have been the end of the matter. I was no longer the householder and the new householder would be paying the bills. However this is TalkTalk. Fifteen months ago I returned to the same home, now without my former partner. Letter after letter from TalkTalk with demands for money I did not owe because I had gone through the correct procedure to transfer the service. Also hours on the phone waiting to talk to a call centre based outside the UK, with operators whose spoken English generally ranged from the poor to the abysmal. Now I have a letter from some gobsh*te outfit who announce they have purchased the account which no longer exists, because I signed a form to transfer it. I have not referred the matter to the service ombudsman. Gobsh*te outfit have been sent a letter informing them of this, with a clear instruction that I will not deal with them except as instructed by the ombudsman or a solicitor. Avoid this company at all costs because if something goes wrong you will have endless hassle for years to come.

    can only be described as awful. It buffers, crashes completely useless, talktalk keep telling me its fine not that you can ever speak to anybody. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!

    If there was no stars to put that wouldn’t be enough,absolutely horrendous customer service,been ignored twice in the space of 10 mins,had to call back repeating myself over and over again...I should have left a long tine ago...I’d like to think I’m a nice guy at for me to put up with this provider I must of been of my head...and I knew better...terrible terrible terrible terrible....rude rude rude rude

    Avoid this company like the plague totally useless I signed up and got no service what so ever for a month but they still took money from my account for a service I couldn't use customer services team don't speak or understand English 3 phone calls lasting over an hour engineer visits and still nothing now they want me to pay a cancellation fee even though I cancelled within the 30 day period this company needs closing down permanently

    Very poor service. Just spent 1hour and 45 mins on phone only to be told hang up and we will ring you back. No call! Since May 2023 we have been waiting for an Engineer. We have been told each.month since (wenare now end of July 2023) our bill will be reduced (no it hasn't) we shall now start procedure to claim compensation re new contact being delayed (not our fault).

    Overall not the best, would prefer virgin if in my area. Customer service helpful but no continuity.
    Broadband speed is poor and varies regularly.
    Broadband will go off at varying times causing frustration.

    Used to be OK, but has got worse and worse. Dial-up was faster. Customer Service via the web-site is so frustrating and unreachable.

    Been with talk talk for 10yrs plus, service was good, then last year we had intermittent service, complained to service department which was like pulling teeth, hours and hours of phone call to Indian call Centre, a total waste of my time, months later no improvement, complained again sent me a new router and it improved for a few month, then back to intermittent service for 3 months.
    I couldn’t face phoning India again so moved to BT service which is brilliant, no issues, unfortunately had to pay T/Talk £150 to move providers (for their ineptitude, but worth it to get rid of the stupidity)
    I Canceled my direct debit but paid the fee, Talk talk said it was late so they’ve added late payment fees and are now hounding me with more fees and threatening letters.
    I know I didn’t need to pay the leaving fee and could wait for the court to agree with the fact they hadn't provided the service & I know I would have won, but I value my time and I think T/talk know that so they keep sending threatening letters.
    Take my advice do not use this company, don’t even consider it, you will likely regret it.

    we have had broadband and phone for 5 months and every month we have had problems, these from very poor download speed, internet just going off then phone line going dead. Numerous TalkTalk engineers out only for them to say what I had already told them its a BT Open-reach fault. Then we have to wait again for BT to move. We had no internet and phone line for 13 days whilst they passed the ball back and to. Customer service is very bad as they promise lots but give nothing. I have dealt several times with the CEO office but still no help. I have now quit them and have also taken my parents out of talkTalk.
    I have asked for a refund of my money and they have refused saying that all the payments they have made to me because of the problems are welcome and promotional ones, but they still want to charge me £50 to cancel the contract.

    This was my response to TalkTalk's emailed customer service survey so the language is aimed at them:

    The worst customer service experience I have received of any large supplier, poor presentation of contact options on your website (I know you are trying to avoid lots of nuisance calls, but it is very very poor user experience), very poor response times, and in some cases never, to my complaints - even though I was told my concerns would be escalated to an advisor, attempting to increase rates to me within 6 weeks of joining (and thankfully I have a cancellation opportunity), sub-standard broadband speed when compared with Sky (our previous provider), tried to charge me £65 for a phone line engineer which you choose to appoint, I simply advised that connection speeds were too slow - imagine if I have been an old lady or man who wasn't capable or confident enough to check my statements regularly and tell you you are wrong (that is a disgrace)....on the whole, and I'm actually a very tolerant person, a poor experience with your company and I am very pleased to say that as of the 11th October 2015 - I shall no longer be one of your customers...put this review on your website.

    I cancelled less than a month into the contract. The worst service I have ever received from any company. Adrian habit was the worst manager I have ever spoken to. Very poor customer service skills. Made threats on the phone. They are charging me and I am not getting a service provision at all. I have taken them to trading standards. Avoid this company.

    Shockingly bad customer service: unprofessional, opaque, obstructive, unhelpful, unreliable, and untruthful….I could go on but you get the picture.

    Really, how long does it take to notify the person you’re communicating with that you’ll not be renewing the contract, which is on a set date. Should be minutes right?
    Yet at least 3.5 hours total combined on chat and on the phone over a couple of days (March & April), with them repeating the same script and applying the same shenanigans is quite frankly underhand, as well as unkind. And at the end of all that, still no definitive “I can confirm that’s now done for you, thanks for having chosen talktalk, we’re sorry to see you go, but please do consider us again in the future”, or words to that effect; just basic decency.

    All I wanted to do was not renew my contract. I’m not with anyone else, and their hardware’s been sitting there all boxed up ready for them to send me the returns bag. Let’s see if that does happen.

    I’ve given 1 star as their shameful behaviour during those ‘customer service’ encounters overrides everything else.

    Connection dropping every now and then. I am paying for minimum 21Mgb and runs at 1Mgb. I do keep calling every day 30 min on hold no answer....This is a proper rip off. I am really fed up

    Terrible customer service,
    Been with talktalk for so many years, but I think it's time to move
    Was without internet for a week try to get compensation as they promised on their website,
    After being on the phone for 1 hour and 10 minutes they offered me 6 pounds,
    I took it as an insult,
    I was expecting at least 8 pounds per day as they promised

    I have never had such a bad customer service the worst I could get I'm paying 7.50 extra a month for insurance my screen is freezing and this is going on for 2 months

    Do not ever go close to talk talk. Even they give you free service its not worth it, as the time you have to compliant & get the resolved it will cost you, your own time more than what you pay talk talk even though thier rate are high and quality is rubbish.

    virgin moved me to talktalk, absolutely disgusting service since june and today a bill for a package £190.00, since june have spent an average of 90 minutes per week with their help line and maybe 3 to 4 hours when i have not been able to work. today changed to plusnet

    Absolutely awful company to deal with. customer Service will tell you endless lies to get you to sign a contract, then not deliver on any of the promises they made. They ignore complaints sent through to them, and lie over the phone.

    I honestly regret the day i joined with them. I have never dealt with a worse company in any field.

    BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF. RUBBISH.

The engineer was a week late in setting it up.It ran at a maximum of about 0.4 MB’s per second, and not even two weeks into my service my broadband was cut off for no reason and no warning. I got an email saying that a third party company informed them that I wanted to cancel my subscription. I rang up about it and after a two hour phone call where I had to set up my account and subscription again with someone who I couldn’t understand and they couldn’t understand me, I had to wait another two weeks ‘maximum’ for an engineer to come set up again. I’m a student and I need the internet for my assignments and my TV. The two weeks have passed and no sign of the engineer. Absolute disgrace. No regard for their customers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

    The 3rd of sept I got home and the wifi and computer stopped working. So I called Talk Talk to try to solve the problem but they couldn't. I got an engineer appointment for the 23 so I need to be home otherwise I will be charged £20 surprise !!no one appears. I Called them and the person I spoke to could hardly speak English and when I said I want to cancel I got an English person who want me to book another engineer appointment for 3 weeks time I was so angry.
    He told me that if an engineer didn't come before the 4 oct I can cancel my contract. Talk talk did not call me back regarding the repair. That was almost a month without having the Internet which is unacceptable.So I called on the 4th to cancel my contract with them, which I was advised by Talk Talk that I was entitled to do. To my surprise I need to pay for breaking my contract with no compensation for the month I had been with no internet or tv. thanks talk talk for the good 8 years of your service but when a problem occures talktalk is the worse. They are unhelpful , unsympathetic and unreliable. In this day and age that level of service from a company is unacceptable.

    This is not regarding the internet itself myself and my partner rarely have problems with speed or reliability the internet is fine however we get upto ELEVEN calls a day from internation numbers all from talktalk they read the same script everytime but when you ask them anything they get flustered and start reading the script again saying they are recieving data from your internet connection its all a lie we have had no problem with our internet but they call every single week day for three months now!! do not go with talktalk !!! fed up as soon as contract is over we are leaving and going with someone else fmaily members also had same problem they are leaving as well !!

    I tried for more then a week just to cancel the contract it didn’t happened customer service are from another planet they don’t listen to you . I never go to then even if there no other providers.

    This is probably hands down the worst WiFi you will ever get. I advise everyone who are looking to buy this to NOT.i tried calling them but to shut down my network but they keep telling me to call next month then when I do then they say to do it the next month and so on.this has been going on for 3 months now and on top of all of this there staff are very rude and on multiple occasions they charged me more that they were supposed to.
