Talk talk are a disgrace , paid my account direct debit every month and have bank statements to prove it . When I cancelled my contract due to moving house which I informed them of they billed me over £200 ! I have not had an explanation what this is for . The customer service is non existent , you can tell the staff have a script that they stick to, and it's impossible to speak to anyone that is willing to help . They will bill you as they see fit and then will do whatever it takes to get that fictional amount off you!! Bend over backwards to get your custom , do not want to know when there's problems . Be warned this is a very dodgy company don't get involved !!!! My problems with this company have been going on for two years !!! This company needs investigating !!

I contacted there customer service department to cancel due to finding a cheaper and better deal. The person I spoke to tried to offer me further deals even after explaining serveral times I just waned to cancel. After he had told he had done it I thought I would use their live chat service to check. That agent confirmed my contract actually hasn't been cancelled. Furious. They said they would transfer my chat to their loyalty team. Once transferred I had to explained everything again to cancel. Each time I asked to cancel they gave me different excuses why my contract couldn't be cancelled. Finally after 40 minutes and talking to 3 different people it was finally cancelled. I will never use this company again. Terrible customer service.

Just switched to talk talk but so far, my main line only has 24.96Mb and my other computer in the lounge, ie less than 10 metres away from main lounge, together with a wifi booster only has 2.4 Mb speed. I was not even able to have banking and some pages don't load regularly. Very poor.

Absolutely shocking. Often went down and no explanation or compensation. I finally cancelled as am moving out of my flat and gave them 3 weeks notice, which the rep confirmed it would actually need to be 30 days notice, which was fine. They cancelled my service that day, so now have no wifi and given covid and being stuck at home it. When I complained they said I woudl have to sign up on a new sales contract even though was their fault. Would never use them again.

Took up the offer earlier last month - free Amazon Prime and broadband fibre for £25.50 per month. Oh they were quick to send out the equipment and the set up was pretty straight forward. Then..........once they have got you tied in........it all then goes wrong.... My broadband is either not working, has poor upload/download speeds averaging at 8 to 12 mb and I have spent hours on the technical webchat. Totally useless. Two engineer appointments booked, waited in on both days between 0800-1300 and no one turned up! Then they have the cheek to send texts to say the engineer has been!!!! Incredulous!!! If you want to introduce stress and wasted time into your life Talk Talk are the company to go to. Terrible - don't be conned by the special offer. I still have no broadband with TalkTalk, ANOTHER third engineer slot is booked for 1st October (let's hope it is third time lucky!). If you want to throw money and time down the drain.......you know where to go to! TalkTalk are treating customers with such disdain, disregard and lack of care - again don't be conned..............

I have to say talk talk has to be one of the worst internet providers in the Uk, and I didn't even manage to get mine installed before I had to just cancel the entire order all together. No customer care at all, left me waiting in my house for four hours and when I called them to ask where the engineer was they had the cheek to tell me there was a delay, and someone would contact me the following day! This is after I had already ordered 3 weeks before and they for no reason cancelled my order. Never ever go with the talk talk they are a shambles of a company. Thanks to their little games of not contacting me and keeping me informed on what was happening I've missed my daughters school show! So talk talk you are on my blackmlist and I will encourage anyone who I talk to to never use your internet.

I have had the talk talk Fibre 65 broadband connection for the past 3 weeks and it’s been consistently low. While Talk Talk claim to have an average speed of 67 mbps I am only getting 28mbps speed. Their engineer attended today , which I had to pay for , and confirmed the speed as being approximately 30 mbps. We were informed by the engineer that Talk Talk’s own portal also confirmed the low speed. Called us customer service who are absolutely abysmal at understanding the issue or trying to resolve it.

We have now been without our telephone and broadband service for over 3 weeks and Talk Talk have done nothing about it. All they keep telling us is that it is Open Reach's responsibility to fix the problem and that we need to be patient. Well I'm sorry, I am a customer of Talk Talk, not Open Reach, and I expect the company to whom I pay my bills to do a bit more on my behalf than just tell me to be patient. I have been a Talk Talk customer for many years, but believe me this relationship will not continue.

I am so disgusted and angered by how bad their customer service. Everybody saying the same think, how terrible that call centre is in a foreign land, they simply don't know what they are doing. How can TT get away with this? I'm writing to OFCOM and watchdog. I'm also writing to Dido their CEO.

I am completely disgusted with this company where I have been a loyal customer for 4 years. When a friend of mine told me she had been offered the youview box for nothing extra per month I thought I would call up and see if I could get it too. I was told that I would have to pay an extra £10 a month as I was in a different area which I agreed too. I was also told I needed a new router. A week or so later the engineer came to install the new router which I found was no different to the old one. I then chased up the TV box numerous times and was told there was an issue but no more explanation or apology. Due to my busy work schedule I then gave up but was then disgusted when I received the bill to see I was being charged circa £43 this included the router I never asked for and the TV box I never received. I then emailed a complaint and advised that I would not be paying extra, would cancel my D/D but asked if they could please call me to sort it out and I would be happy to pay my usual £23 at that time. I was then shocked and disappointed to receive an email from Talktalk telling me if I wasn't happy then I should go to another provider and that was it! My services were then cut off, this was 2months ago. Since this time I have sent 2 further complaint emails which have been ignored. I then used the chat facility on the website as I find it hard to find the time to call and when you do the representitives are unhelpful anyway! I was cut off 5 times during the chat session and every time has to explain the whole thing again, not once receiving an apology or resolution. The last person I spoke to who was argumentitive and unprofessional advised me that my bill was now £70!! When I said to him I had been cut off so how can my bill go up he said they hadn't cancelled at their end!! He said he would cancel my contract but could not help with payment or complaints but would log one for me. Again no one contacted me to discuss the matter. I then went on to uswitch and seen that sky had a good deal and most importantly had better reviews than most providers especially rallyalk who were at the bottom. Today I received a letter telling me that I owe £236.07 for cancelling my new contact even though I never asked for a new contract , never received any new services , have been cut off for 2 months, offered to pay what I owe but this wasn't accepted and was told to go to another provider. I then called up to complain to a manager and was told that It was my fault, I was a lier as I hadn't been charged for the TV box, I was then threatened that if I didn't stay with them then I would be charged and I was told I hadn't given them the opportunity to sort it out which was the most laughable statement as they had every opportunity. They also said they had tried to contact me and when I asked by what means they said home phone they had left messages.I can't listen to them in cut off! I had to end up hanging up as I was getting so upset and I'm pregnant and this agree is no good. Bottom line these people are thieves and app unprofessional . I plan to tell anyone who will listen about this and hopefully stop people from making a huge mistake.

Just the worst imaginable customer service. Rude staff that leave you endlessly on hold. They pass you around various agents with no handover. Repeatedly ask security questions. They go out of their way to make ending the contract as difficult and painful as possible. Spent 50 minutes on phone today. Don’t intend ever to have dealings with them again.

SIMPLY AVOID!
If you enjoy your peace of mind. Since i changed over to fibre, their internet is a nightmare. It is almost 2months and they still trying to determine what the issue is. Internet keeps dropping. Very unreliable. Speeds are 2.3Mbps but they advertise 500Mbps.Worse than the previous broadband connection. Been on phone calls for more that 10hrs past 2weeks and still nothing. You will be transferred over and over and put on hold for every question you ask. On complaining the agents just keep insisting the internet speeds cannot be guaranteed over wireless connection. Twice i have spoken with very rude agents, the lady (Louise) was raising her voice and speaking over me throughout the call. I simply concluded by saying lets not take it personally it's just internet. Changing my provider ASAP

Worst company ever. I found out by chance they owe me a refund since 2017 (of course, because why would they make is easy and refund automatically?) and I can't get them to refund it to me without calling expensive numbers to talk to someone. I've been told thay would call me back but never did. Meanwhile they keep my money!!! CROOKS!!!

RUBBISH. My phone broadband and tv freeview bill was excessive so calls very expensive. I cancelled to move elsewhere after contract ended and due to having to pay yet another month i had the choice of paying yet 2 months as I would have to cancel the cancellation in order for the provider to move me over which was very annoying when it ended in 3 days time!!! otherwise I would lose the home number and have yet another delay in the changeover. What a waste. Also changing is not that easy. So now I am left with my son home from Uni doing dissertation work and probably no broadband. I cant see why they cant just allow the changeover when I am paying an extra month and also have not cancelled the Direct Debit so are getting their money when the 3 days ends. Thanks for nothing Talk Talk. The phone line has been awful for most of the contract and TV kept buffering and cutting out films.

Since switching for fibre broadband(min 20Mb-38Mb) early 2015 the average speed since 2017 is aprox 8Mb(yes this is very unstable they called fibre broadband becouse most of the time speed dosent go over 4Mb).I has called to talktalk aprox 20 times to resolve problem but always has to pas they customer service rules wchich is:
1-run speed test
2-switch off router,then swith on
3-run speed test
4-press reset on router
5-run speed test
6-restart computer
7-run speed test
8-switch off router,10sek.,swith on
9-run speed test
10-nothing I can do for you at this stage,we need to send engineer to investigate
around 1 hr need to spend for this things every time
11-very friendly engineer coming to investigate, just "PLAY CHECKING"conections, somtimes renew cable or something then saying within 1 day will be ok.
YEAH but for 2-3 weeks and then same thing happend again and again, they use our private life and money, nerves this company lies to run they bussines.
2017 on 5 January I call talktalk becouse sppeed drop to 0.27Mb(Yes,les than half Mb)and I was very frustrated becouse cannot even read news and had enough dealing with them, saying that I want to cancel my contract. It was not easy spending aprox 1 hour to talk and listening they music, talking to 4 people before they cancelled(must pay for another mont-30 day notice)
Then I call them again(paing for another month)and asking them to do something with this speed(0.27Mb)spending another hour to talk but refuse do all this points again(written above 1-10),saying that I have done all this and the problem must be outside property(also refuse for engineer to came and investigate),but the person on the helpline said on this stage nothing can be done.
I have call again spoke to another person, another hour, but this time just sitting talking and running speed test on and on refusing to do all the steps(1-10),listen so many excuses from them like:
1-this could happen between 9-7pm
2-electric things in the house may cause the problem
3-bla bla bla
I said in my property everything is switch off except computer, and running speed test asking person how can explain speed improve for about 5Mb only by talking to them(refuse to do steps 1-10 again),then talking and running speed test for aprox 45 min finnaly I get 18 to 21Mb speed than said to them thank you very much I got min what I paying for.
I thing this company making as donkeys by dropping speed and waiting for phone call to make money on phone calls, sanding engineers(you pay only if the problem is outside property, but this is engineer decision on the raport so Im sure they do find sometimes problem inside for money like parking wardens getting some %).this is the world of lemmings they think,I hope this company will DIE!
I JUST WANT TO WORN DONT TALK TO THEM DONT SIGN CONTRACTS DONT GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS,SIMPLY DONT DEAL WITH WITH THEM ITS NOT WORTH A PENNY,ONLY YOU CAN GET FROM THEM IS:
"Frustration"
Any ones want do sing deals with "FRUSTRATION"?

WORST COMPANY EVER. Takes 2 weeks to switch you. Please do not be fooled by their rate. You will regret if you switch.
I recently switched from BT to Talktalk, since my BT fibre is getting slower by day and I keep getting posts from BT asking me to upgrade to their premium fibre, which is obviously a marketing compaign that wants me to pay more than what I should be. So I decided to switch to a more competitive company, since my neighbour use Talktalk and I thought it might be a good idea to also use Talktalk.
I bought the service online and they delivered the router to me. I installed it before the activation day. and surprisingly. the internet was not activated by the day it should be which is the 8th Nov. and i called up talktalk, and they tell me to wait for 24 hours as their is some mess up with openreach. and nothing happened afterwards,i called up again to complain, the manager told me it should be resolved within 48 hours. and i have waited 48 hours. and still not have an active service.
and i have been told it would be another 48 hours that the switching will take over. and it is not their fault, is open reach's fault.
So everyone please dont use talktalk. unless you want a service without knowing activation time.

The broadband is fine. NEVER take on the phone from Talk Talk. I cannot even make any calls out and there is the most awful noise on the line, I got through once they tested line and said all ok, then I said it is not so they started to tell me to get a screwdriver and undo the input or something, I am not technical and did not understand or want to do this myself as I know it can be dangerous and if I had done anything wrong it would be my fault. So they then asked for £60 for an engineer to come out. I am left nearly a month later with a phone I cannot hear anyone when they call and I cannot make any phone calls out. I CANNOT WAIT TO END THE CONTRACT AND WILL NEVER TOUCH TALK TALK AGAIN. They send a letter asking me to call them oh well I would love to if I could use the phone

Waste of my 25 days time for waiting the internet to installed what never happened and now I have to find a trustworthy provider.
I called talktalk and been on the line for 45 minutes to get the contract and finally done than when the engineer should come no one came for the installation.I called them and I been told I need to cancel my contract and get the new one because of some fault with the line.I wasn't happy at all,but I said alright lets do it again and I booked the engineer on 10th of December.Today I called talktalk to make sure an engineer will come.Guess what happened?
They said I have to cancel the contract and do it again(third time) because first I have to get the simple internet and after a week I can upgrade to fibre!
What a huge disappointment!!!
I was waiting for ever and another 4 people in my house.Do a favor for yourself and forget talktalk.
Unprofessional bunch of people with no knowledge of anything a part of so sorry.

Terrible service. Had a two year contract and the connection would constantly drop out. Had multiple, lengthy phone calls with customer service who were friendly but incompetent and would read of scripts. Several engineer visits and they still couldn't repair the poor connection in my flat. They tried to fob me of with the connection is poor in my area but this is not the case.
Moved to Sky and in 4 months the connection has not dropped once. Faster broadband and strong stable connection and much cheaper.
Do not go with talk talk - poor service.

So what the hell is happening here? We have been with TalkTalk for quite a while now and decided to upgrade last year to speed up the B/Band on an offer that they had. All good no problems faster and much better. Then I got a phone call from TalkTalk (really!!?), they wanted me to download a programme to allow access to my computer to fix problems, seriously. When I refused access to my computer and the offer expired and we began to pay MORE!!!!!, the service has gone from excellent to, well too low for zero to quote Elton John. At the moment I am trying to get this poor service addressed. More later.

Terrible, just terrible!!
The Talk Talk service in my opinion was absolutely terrible, I live with my mother and she took out a talk talk contract. First of all it took them ages to send out an engineer to connect us and therefore the so-called grace period where we could cancel "hassle-free" was no longer possible. Then for the weeks we were connected the speed was WELL below what should have been the minimum speed provided. They PROMISE no less than 5Mbs but we were rarely getting more than 2Mbs. Then when my mother had had enough of calling OVERSEAS operators - who didn't call back when they said they would and when they did, didn't know why they were calling (obviously hadn't checked their notes) may I add - she decided to cancel her contract and they said she would have to pay a cancellation charge unless she gave them 90 DAYS(!!!!) to sort it out. It was a standard connection (they didn't even have to put in a new line) So we would have had to put up with unto 90 days of terrible service. They then held our line hostage so we had to get a new line in for a deferent company to provide us with a service we should have got from them! Now we are stuck with having to pay a cancellation fee for terrible service and customer service.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT??"
I and my family would NEVER EVER recommend Talk Talk to a stranger let alone friends or family.

I've finally given up with Talk after about 15 years as their service really is terrible. They never delivered the speeds they promised and somehow persuaded me to pay for an even higher speed that I only got close to once.
My broadband finally failed (broadband light green, internet light red) and so I went through the usual motions, and they sent a new router, which as I expected didn't sort it. They then said the fault would be escalated to their technical team and I would get a response in 72 hours.
They didn't so when I phoned they said actually it was three working days and as it had been over a weekend they still had two days to respond. They still didn't and again I called, but this time I'm told that their technical team only work office hours and as it was outside the couldn't help and I needed to call back. The next day (during office hours), the response I got was hopeless, they had no idea who was doing what, or when.
I gave it two more days, called back and got the same response, so said I would be changing providers, at which point they got interested and suddenly started talking about sending an Openreach engineer out. When pressed as to why it had taken them ten days since the fault had been escalated to mention an engineer, the guy admitted that calling one out costs them money and they only do that if they have to.
Anyway I am now with PlusNet, plugged in the router yesterday and it didn't work (as I expected). Called this morning, explained the situation, the guy tested the line and said there was a fault (Talktalk insisted there wasn't). Connected Openreach immediately and was informed that they would be investigating it in four days.
This delay is on the Openreach side, so the point is PlusNet did more in five minutes than Talktalk did in ten days!

The telephone service is excellent, with very good rates for home, overseas and mobile calls but the broadband is terrible and has got worse since TalkTalk announced they were 'improving' it. The download speed (0.9mbs) is possibly the worst in the country. When I complained to TalkTalk last year they sent an engineer to check my equipment (for which they charged me,)gave me a new Router but said all the problem was down to BT, who had promised to improve things by 2017. Who do I believe?

Our contract is nearly up and we most definatly won't be renewing it. We had to take a18month contract as that was all that was available, and the reliability of the internet is quite frankly rubbish, not worth the £35 ish we're paying !! Worse decision going with talk talk. Customer service isn't great either, not solving any problems just 'offering good better deals'.... no solve the problems please. Will definatly leave when contract is up and would NOT recommend to anyone !!

There is noting positive about TalkTalk, the prices are rubbish as they increase the bill after a few months. The wifi is so slow and often stops working. They phone sound quality is rubbish. The customer service is extremely poor and you may have to wait on hold to speak to an adviser for over an hour. My router stopped working and this affected several other customers. I called and reported the issue and they infromed me a new route would be sent to me. Over a week later i still had not received the router and had no access to WiFi. The whole TalkTalk network is poor and a waste of money. You will end you paying for a service that you won't recieve. Do not use TalkTalk and save yourself from unnecessary stress and dont waste your money. Go you virgin or sky.

First of all - READ AND BELIEVE THE REVIEWES - why am I saying that? because i was stupid enough to join talk talk while thinking I will have a different experience. Well, I didn't. I thought that saving up the money (compared to other comapines) would be worth it - well, it wasnt.
Please trust me - you have never encountered such a TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE your entire life. I could list about 20 issues we have had during the last 18 months (locked in a contract...) which were dealt with a complete inadequate manner, lack of professionalism, and lack of knoweldge. The frustration and time wasted, are simply not worth the small saving in money.
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Never worked from the beginning - engineer never turned up. Despite it never having worked they wanted to charge to have it fixed as they said they could not find a fault - turned out that they were looking at the wrong account. Still does not work after over three months and they are still billing me. The account they were fiddling about with now does not work either. :(((

Horrible Internet Provider!
The worst experience I have with this provider- Every single day it stops at midnight and will Show: "Connected" "No Internet".
Same happening during the day few times per day.
Impossible to work from home- losing my work, missing zoom meetings.
There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!
You can call as much as you like- no one will help. First year and last with them.
