    Just can't wait to finish my 18 months contract with TalkTalk - most incompetent service quality with equally horrible broadband reliability to match. Just keep away and save yourself from all the headache. They represent a very poor value for money. They are cheap for a reason!

    Absolutely the worst broadband company around. They make no effort whatsoever to resolve issues, Connectivity problems daily from the start, and the worst customer services I have had the misfortune to deal with.. I have gone back to Sky, who at least have a customer service based in the UK, who actually answer their phones and deal with your problems in a timely fashion. Would never use again or recommend.

    Switched to talktalk in Feb as cheaper and was promiised a minimum guarunteed speed. For the first 10 weeks the tv service was awful , after writing and being ignored i rang 3 times, eventually an engineer came out and the box was faulty. No compensation! The internet is so so slow that you just want to chuck it out the window. I rang anotger 3 times being passed from one foreign speaker to another to be told my speed is 4mbps ! It should at least be 6.2 but still no resolution , just tokd to cancel i must pay £265. I am now gking to CAB and writing to ofcom. DO NOT USE TALK TALK ......I AM AMAZED AS TO HOW TGEY ARE STILL ALLOWED TO RUN A BUSINESS.

    I don't often write negative reviews but I've had such an unpleasant experience with TalkTalk lately that I thought I'd warn others.
    The speed has never really been a problem, it's a solid 15 Mbps as promised (we don't have fibre in the area).
    It's the strength of connection which drops out many times a day that's the problem for both of us working from home. It's been a very stressful couple of months with the connection dropping out during important meeting, client calls and what not.
    I have used live chat first to "troubleshoot". We didn't fix anything. I was sent an email on how to check it myself which I did. It was still bad.
    I went on live chat to request a £40 engineer appt which resulted in nothing.
    I asked for another option, which was a £65 engineer appt which also solved nothing.
    At this point, over a month down the line, I am £105 out of pocket and very frustrated as you can imagine.
    I went on live chat again where I went through the same "troubleshooting" procedure I've done many times before and then I was told that the speed was fine and above what is promised. I didn't complain about the speed. (this was 2 hours into our live chat by the way). So again, I explained in plain English numerous time that the connection drops out numerous time a day, both wifi and wired. At which point, they left the chat. Having wasted 2.5 hrs I was beyond annoyed so I tried getting through to someone via he phone. I thought I could reason with a person. When I finally did get through I was told to do the exact troubleshooting checks AGAIN. I told them I've just done them and then explained the situation. The person on the other end couldn't do anything but read off the script. She read why they won't refund the money and asked me if I want "troubleshooting guidance" emailed to me... It felt like talking to a wall. I will definitely be changing providers. Absolutely horrendous customer service.

    Had issues with this service since the day 1! They sent me a broken router and said that it should work nevertheless! After trying to contact them for ages they decided to send me a new one which didn’t work! (yet again). Engineer had to come and fix this issue and we were promised a compensation for our troubles which we never received and we paid for not having any internet connection for a full price (never discounted). It was working fine for a month and the we started having issues since September, after trying to contact them through the live chat for ages, we were told that the internet line was faulty and we need an engineer but we shouldn’t worry as when contacting them again they will already know the issue and we won’t need to go through it all again. However, the live chat didn’t work and we couldn’t contact them for a few days. Finally, after reaching out to them they said there is nothing they can do at the moment as they are experiencing issues themselves, try to contact them in few hours. Which we did, but they didn’t respond. Today I managed to reach them: the first person i talked to said that the issue is the placement of our router and i kept saying that last time we spoke i was told we needed an engineer, he kept disagreeing until i said that i want to talk to somebody else. After 2 hours of conversation I managed to get an engineer booked for tomorrow, but they do not care about stress I had to go through just to fix the internet. They are not prepared to help others with the issues especially during pandemic when the internet is needed more then ever! Would never recommend this company!

    Very poor service. Spent hours and hours on Telephone. No appreciation of customers time. Poor Call handling and communication. Very poor response from Chief executive office. Had to go to Communications Ombudsman. At last proper apology letter from the Chief Executive office of Talk - talk on the direction of Communications Ombudsman's directions.

    I had been a loyal talk talk customer for a period of 8 months when I suddenly experienced complete loss of service of both internet and land line. Following this talk talk sent 5 engineers to the wrong address and were unable to repair the problem. This lasted for 4 weeks with talk talk confirming after every phone call that they would register the correct address.

    According to talk talk the error has now become to "complex" and in order to be repaired and new solution of providing me with a new landline and contract has been reached. Due to the cancellation of the previous landline/contract I have now been charged the outstanding balance of the contract (I was told this would not occur) which comes to a total of £307.

    I have also accrued a phone bill of £43 which I have not yet tried to recover due to the incapacity of talk talk to provide the most basic of service. The current outcome is that talk talk will keep the £307 as credit in order to pay all future bills in advance therefore not refunding me and leaving my bank account potentially overdrawn.

    If you could please are this message and recommend people to avoid talk talk it would be very appreciated.

    I mainly want to say what an absolute disgrace there customer services are, condescending responses making you feel like hanging up. They can't understand basic math when working out your bill. They over charged the pro rata and then said it was done by the system. Check your bills.

    Its quite ironic that this companies name is talk talk,it sort off gives you the impression that the are good at communication, I left Virgin media (I'm a complete idiot) whom I have been a customer for around 15 years. I was mainly drawn in by the low package deals, all went wrong more or less straight away , the engineer who installed the phone line damage my property installing the line, every time I ring talk talk to log a complaint to fix the problem they explain it isn't there issue as they use an outside contractor (open reach) to do the installation (wiped there hands with it), been past from pillar to post for around 14 days, still with no resolution.
    Internet is none existent rang up to see if I could get some help and I was told this is the best your are going to get.
    Customer service is completely awful, put you on hold several times and then the phone line goes dead or they hang up on you phone and you then have to start the whole process again.
    Rang up today to cancel the contract we are on the 14th day of the cooling off period (I have been with Talk Talk a maxim of 14 days) and I was told if I paid £400.00 pounds I would be able to cancel my account, Ha Ha Ha I could cry absolute nightmare.
    I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this but absolutely useless, no customer service, no broadband and no flipping clue

    The service is entirely awful. Everyone's trying to be nice, but no one gets anything done and they just keep making mistakes on my bills and with my broadband over and over. It is not worth the stress and ALL OF THE TIME you have to waste fixing their mistakes. Do not sign with TalkTalk.

    I think talk talk gives cheaper broadband than other providers but their customer service is unbelievably bad. I think their call center is in India, sometimes they don't understand some simple instructions, bad communication. I was with talk talk many years now. Last time my contract renewal, I called them. Several times after I talked to a machine, someone answered the phone and I told them its my renewal and I'm looking for a good deal. They didn't bother to listen, they just gave me a regular deal which is lot more than I'm currently paying. Basically they told me taken it or leave it. I didn't like the attitude of this female advisor and she got this accent very difficult to understand. I said I'll call later. I called two more times but all occasions I got someone very rude, ignorant with very heavy accent. I got really frustrated and I asked them to terminate my contract at the end of the month and stared to check other providers. After day or two gentleman from talk talk called and asked would I change my mind if he offer this deal and it was a good one and I agreed. I think the biggest problem talk talk have is customer service. I don't mind what country they answer the phones from but they need serious training of customer service, respect, accents etc.

    Internet is rubbish can't connect to Facebook or anything. was with sky never had a problem with them. Was supposed to get super fast broadband but it's worse than I had wish I never changed can't wait till contract up will deff be changing if I don't cancel direct debit before

    TalkTalk do not deserve any stars. I haven't even had my internet connected and I'm already leaving... Their customer service is shocking, they are absolutely useless. The engineer missed his appointment after I took a day off to be there, and after spending 3 hours on the phone to them, I was no further. I waited 5 days for a phone call despite then saying it would take 72 hours. If this is how they treat a prospective customer who only know how they treat their existing customers so I will dodge the bullet now before any more time and money is lost, I advise you all yo avoid TalkTalk!

    Worst company I've ever dealt with. My internet goes down daily. They sent an engineer who refused to come up to my property because he couldn't park directly outside. They then illegally charged me for a missed engineer call and so far are refusing to refund. Difficult to speak to on the phone and that's when you can get through! Just awful. Avoid at all costs!

    Broadband never great but the real disaster is the so.called "Customer Service." Would give minus star points if I could. When my phone stopped working, they inundated me with "we're working on it" sms's, made me go through ridiculous procedures at every new attempt to get some action, asked me to stay home for days on end without appearing, then finally, after almost one month(!) casually told me the problem affected my "area" and was due to "upgrading the system." Customer Care offered me a risible "reimbursement" of - wait for it! - 16 pounds. Am getting out as soon as I can. AVOID!

    Awful customer service, on Sunday had problems with email told by TalkTalk needed to delete account so did that, then they said could not sign back into it for 7days, they don't care I am self employed and work by email, or that they have promised for three days to fix the problem within 24hours, and if I want to leave then I can give 30 days notice! Nobody in the UK to speak to calls shipped out to India or the Philippines, don't return calls, emails, or help you in any way, keep saying 'the back room boys' are working on it. I pay for this service £50.00 a month!!

    TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If a Talk Talk operator does not know what to do with you, they will just transfer you to another operator! What happened was I changed the date of installation to another date. Then found out that they cancelled this appointment with no apparent reason and I had to be put back in queue again. When I complained, I was put through from one operator to another (7 in total) resulting in a 1hr22 mins call to resolve my problem. When I called back 3 days before my installation date, the operator could not find my account details, despite me giving him my account number and my address, I was put through to another dept until finally I I had enough and asked to make a formal complaint and was put through to their customer loyalty dept. and CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. I presumed it was done but then found that they took one month payment from my bank account! DO NOT GO FOR TALK TALK BECAUSE IT IS CHEAP BECAUSE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY!

    Absolute joke of a company, don't know how they are still in business. For over a month we are trying to get internet installed at our flat. 3 times! THREE TIMES!! they have sent the engineer to the wrong building in our development, each time they told us to cancel and place a new order as they need to issue a new job number in order to send him to the right address. Two weeks waiting time after placing each new order. Last time we even called them to make sure they have the right address and after keeping us an hour on the phone, mostly on hold, they assured us they got all the details right, only to be called by the engineer on the morning of the installation, and be told he can't install it as they sent him to the wrong building!!! I don't even understand how this is possible, I swear, who even hires such incompetent people?? All these negative reviews are justified, do yourselves a favour and stay away! You've been warned

    I was a Talktalk customer for 4 years. The last 6 months it was a real nightmare. Internet dropped every day, several times every day. I wrote many complaints, spent many hours in online chat, but everything was useless. Then I demanded compensation. Can you imagine what Talktalk offered me? a £5 goodwill gesture!!! I paid £150, did not receive service, had to spend about 20 hours trying to fix Internet. They did nothing and offered me a £5 goodwill gesture! Sadistic bullying! Usually reviews on this site help to improve the service of companies. But not in the case of Talktalk. I specially looked for information about Talktalk and found that poor service and bullying are the main characteristics of Talktalk since 2009. TalkTalk were even fined £750,000 for "dishonest and misleading" sales practices following an Ofcom investigation.
    Since Talktalk ignores all our complaints, does nothing to improve the service, I think we, the customers, who received all this terrible service and numerous bullying, should set themselves the goal of getting Talktalk out of the market.
    To do this, we must describe in detail and objectively all the cases of the disgusting service of Talktalk, put the likes of other similar feedbacks, share experiences when it was possible to obtain compensation or successfully leave Talktalk. I hope that we will be able to attract the attention of the Ofcom to prohibit the activities of Talktalk.

    I terminated the contract with TALKTALK in June 2018. To be honest, I began to regret about it. My life with a new provider has become boring. During the last 4 months the Internet has never shut down. I miss so much the time when I was a customer of Talktalk, when every day several times I had the Internet disconnected, I endlessly overloaded the modem, called and wrote to Talktalk, spent many hours in chat. But Talktalk did not leave me, today, 4 months after the termination of the contract, Talktalk sent me a bill, I again owe them money. Moreover, without informing me, they independently activated Direct Debit and took my money. Phenomenal.

    I have not experience with other provider, but there hardly can be anything worse. Very poor Internet, it is dropping many times every day without any reasons. Customer Service openly mocks. I wrote dozens of emails, spent many hours chatting. Customer Service promised me to call back more than 20 times and write the answers. No one has ever called and not written.
    I tried all the ways trying to fix the Internet and get compensation, but all was unsuccessful.
    The most mocking thing: you can not call the Customer Service they are always busy, but you can write to the chat. Respond "very polite and sympathetic people", each time you have to answer many questions of security, tell the problem, discuss the obvious solutions. Then, after 30 minutes, when you are approaching to difficult questions, they turn off the Internet. The next time you turn on the chat, you get on a new person and start all over again. And so it is infinite.

    Summarizing: terrible Internet and terrible customer service. Advice to all new customers, do not be tempted by a cheap price, avoid the Talktalk. I wish existing clients patience and quick escape.

    I wrote already about my bad experience with Talktalk. It turned out that leaving this company is even worse than enduring this terrible service.
    They send me erroneous overstated bills, threatening me. I just spent more than 2 hours talking to managers. I use logic and facts, they use only attempts to confuse and mock. I've never seen such a terrible customer service in the UK.
    I am a very peaceful person, but such a mocking attitude makes me look for the possibility of a legal solution to the problem.
    I see on this site many people affected by Talktalk, maybe it's time for us to unite and file a class action lawsuit against this company of rogues and boors. I will be happy with any of your ideas.

    Avoid talk talk broadband, I tuk fast broadband for 12 mounts contract speed is useless have to watch on360p movies, they need only your money thats it, on the end of my contract I leave a mount notice, they still charge me for extra mounts plus double price for no reason , AVOID!!!!!!

    Very disappointed with TalkTalk. Joined 3 months ago on upto 38 Mbs guaranteed minimum 35Mbs. Average speds range from 9Mbs to 19Mbs - received 27Mbs once. TalkTalk very hard to contact by email and seem unwilling to properly tackle speed issue. I do not want to spend time on phone with them: the one call I had was very unsatisfactory as staff member could not deal with complaint and passed me to 'customer services' where I had to enter number codes to get to right dept - gave up in disgust. Will not be renewing contract!

    Best to avoid Talk Talk!! Fine if/when broadband is working but when it's down customer service is awful. Overseas call centre where understanding is a barrier,full of pathetic excuses blaming the weather or it will fix itself in time. Call centre frequently disconnect your call because they cannot/don't want to help. Honestly drives you mad! Online chat cut you off. Don't think there can be a broadband company worse than Talk Talk ~ you've been warned!

    Totally useless customer service, unfortunately can't give minus stars. Simple query that should have taken 2 minutes took an hour, 3 phone calls - cut off twice. Still no further forward.

    I only gave a 2 star rating for customer service as i have never had much luck with them. I would encourage any one to use the forum as it is much better.

    Absolutely terrible. They spent 7 weeks sorting out a fault which left me with no phone line and limited internet. Made over 15 phone calls, over 12 hours. Useless overseas call centres. Eventually got through to the "CEO'S Office", which is just another call centre in he UK, after the fault was fixed. Very unsympathetic about the amount of my time I spent chasing the issue and that had to take time off work, for a fault which they were 100% responsible for.
    Got a similar response from the 3 months previous, when the same fault occurred, but fortunately it only took them 2 weeks to fix then!
    Definitely the worst customer service I have ever received.

    my rating for this comoany is 0stars. This company should be closed down asap b4 they take other peoples money,The cio shpuld be ashamhed to run a company with such a poor service record, what more can I say.... total crap of a company should closed down by ofcom asap.
