If I could give these NO stars I would
STAY CLEAR OF TALK TALK they take money out your account when they feel like they want to, they took 2 months worth of bills then took a further 2 lots of £12.50 all in one month, there customer service is absolutely disgusting, vile intact they speak to you like crap, there broadband is shocking , I’m connected the seccond I walk out my living room it disconnected, only 2 items can be added at a time or nothing connects
You spend loads of money to be on hold for 30minutes to be answered and say we are closed when there not , £15 + for that phone call, there not helpful in the slightest
They are just liars and thieves, and to top it all of I finally leave to go with another company and they have the cheek to send a letter saying I have to pay a £60 leaving fee , well up yours talk talk you ain’t getting a penny of me, you need to be shut down completely

AVIOD THEM , DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
YOU MAYSWELL FLUSH YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TIOLET

Awful customer service. I have had speeds of 0.21. I have had engineers out they changed the router to TalkTalk. Awful made phone line bad and my partner lap top didn't work. They tried to get me to unscrew wall plates I refused. They don't speak good English so they don't understand you and you don't understand them. I have asked for compensation being without broadband. The comment was thank you for calling Talk Talk goodbye. I want out now . RUBBISH

Don't bother trying to get anything resolved when there is a problem as you get passed from one person to another. Nothing for loyalty as they slyly take things from you. Time to look for another providor.

if i could give talk talk no stars i would. i have been with them a year and a half and my internet speed was poor and i kept losing connection, then my partner decided to try the fiber broadband. so he order the large only to be put on the medium which i though okay they obvs dont do the large in our area. so i got my bill for this month i am having to pay a full month for simple broadband and a full month for fiber because it start half way through the month i was ticked of but this i could but up with. we was promised 39 - 40 mbps with the fiber did a test and its only coming up to 24mbps so my partner was on the phone for 2 hrs trying to explain that this not right to only get past from one person to another, finally they said they will send someone out to fix it in a week. so as i though if i aint getting the speed i shouldnt have to pay for the fiber just the simple. so i phoned up to say about this and again i was past from one person to another who just totally didnt understand what my point was so finally i asked to speak to someone higher than them. when i finally got through to him he was so rude didnt understand a thing wasnt going to reduce my bill and was saying i would get a £300+ cancellation fee so i asked to speak to his boss only to be told no. i put my partner on the phone to him to see if he could get some where with this guy but he had the same problem after a long heated argument the guy said he will get his boss to phone in 5 - 10 working days, so the moral of the story DO NOT GO WITH TALK TALK!!! there customer service is so poor and you just get past from pillow to post.

If I could give 0 stars I would. A disgusting source of internet. At first it was okay but as years went on it has worsened. This internet is by far the most unreliable network I’ve used. Appalling speed. I’ve had many engineers come to try and fix it, however it still doesn’t work. When I call, they reply with “turn off the router” or some other stupid answer as if I haven’t already tried that. Again disgusting wifi and they should be ashamed to continue providing internet.

I dont think i have ever been so frustrated as trying to get sense and something done with customer service. The engineer arrived before the BT engineer had completed his work so had to come back after this done. Trying to get through to the people on the phone who appear to have a problem understanding english has driven me to distraction to the point3 times now i have had to put the phone down on them to preserve my sanity and still dont have the TV installed. God knows what its cost me in telephone charges!

Probably the worst consumer experience I have had with any company in many years. I've suffered months of disconnecting broadband and have spent a total of 2 full days on the phone or in chat across this period trying to get a fix. You hold for ages, then when you get through you are cut-off, agents don't have solutions, fault status reports by text and online contradict and when you finally complain formally they take weeks to address matters. When I had battled and finally secured compensation they couldn't even pay this correctly - it took numerous further calls and hours wasted just to get this paid. Talktalk is a confused, muddled mess, guaranteed to try the patience of the most reasonable person and their leadership should be ashamed. Go elsewhere, as I too am about to do.

The worst ever broadband and customer service i had. The broadband did not work for two weeks after activation date and when i called them the were not willing to help. After two weeks and some more calls i was connected but very bad connection which kept breaking. I was willing to upgrade but they responded there was no such option and that i can go anywhere. I was forced to change the provider and then on top of that they charged me cancellation fee of GBP 80.00. I am willing to write the regulatory for this robbery. will not advise to go for talk talk, pay a little more and go somewhere else.

Since Talk Talk took over Tiscali the service as been rubbish!!!
The customer and tecnical support ir appalling and the staff are rude. They are overseas so you cannot understand their accent too. And you are kept in a que for ages when calling on expensive calls to sort your problem (which they still havent sorted must I say, that is why Im switching) and then put on hold for another length of time. Then they hung up on me 4 times so I had to keep going through the procedure and costly calls.
Must admit they are the worst provider of internet I have ever come across!!

The staff seemingly have scripts that they follow and no matter what you as a customer say, you will get the scripted response. I wish I was partial to a nightly tipple when I ring them as they would certainly drive me to drink. I have been on the phone for hours, (no hyperbole) and still not resolved the issue even when it has been very simple, on any planet except planet talktalk, who would never ever admit they have got it wrong or do not know what to do. I am a pensioner on a fixed income, but would rather pay more for my service and leave talktalk behind as I cannot deal with the stress of dealing with the ineptitude of the company,

Absolutely SHOCKING customer service. Just avoid like the plague.

It seems I’ve had the same experience as many on here and OH how I wish I’d read these reviews before engaging with these incompetent charlatans!

    I ordered future fibre.
I rang up to ask where is my installation to be told they cancelled my order!
    So I reinstated it.
I then had to ring up again to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN they had cancelled my order!
    I stupidly reinstated it.
I then had to ring up AGAIN to ask where my installation was only to be told AGAIN!!!!!! they had cancelled my order! For a 3rd time! And it was written on my account’s notes that I had reinstated it….but they had just done nothing!!!!!!!!

All of this with over an hour of combined sitting on hold.

I just can’t believe how bad they have been!

Hopelessly incompetent. Can't even manage to get a phone line installed correctly and have zero control over their subcontractors who do the work. Reused the line from a local school to fit my connection, leaving them with no broadband connection. Repeated the mistake a second time to cut the school off again. Every time, talktalk staff do nothing. Aren't prepared to pick up a phone, or make any kind of effort to resolve an issue. Do not use these people, they have no meaningful control over BT open reach and no interest in trying to help

The most efficient department of Talk Talk is their cancellation service... What a waste of time! I paid for Talk Talk, they said you'll have internet within 7 days (no engineer required). I thought great, sounds good. They rang up a few days later, said I did need an engineer and the only appointment available was in 2 weeks on a day I couldn't do. They said they would ring back. Never did. Sent me a text with confirmation of the engineer appointment I couldn't make. I spent an hour on the phone waiting to speak to an operator to tell them about their mistake and my frustration. They said the next available appointment after that would be over 3 weeks. What a joke. They couldn't offer any solutions and had no info or help to give. Don't go with them, the awful reviews are for a reason. Their customer service is about as premium as a packet of Space Invaiders crisps.

    Lies, lies, lies....

Upsold us to a package on standard broadband saying we would need a new dvr box, when I told them I already had one. Was told the old one wouldn't work. LIES!

Complained to them. I was told they could not take the new box back and reduce my monthly payments. Instead, they gave me Sky channels at half price.

Complained about the poor broadband and WiFi. They sent me a new router as they discovered theirs was faulty. Then they tried to upsell me to fiber. All I wanted was the service we were paying for.

Complained on numerous occasions about the mind-bogglingly poor bandwidth and awful WiFi connectivity. All TalkTalk would ever do is try to upsell me to fiber.

Moved to a new provider, and now TalkTalk are charging me DOUBLE as a final bill. Apparently the disconnection changeover is two days after their billing period so the only thing they will do is refund me the 29 days of unused time on the NEXT billing period. So essentially stealing my money for the next month. If I (or they) stop my direct debit, I'll get a black mark on my credit score. Told by a manager that she can't do anything about it. What a load of drivel.

If I was to upgrade to a new fiber package, they could sort everything instantly. But they can't stop themselves taking money they're not entitled to.

    Prices: Average
    Quality of sale: Appalling
    Quality of service provided: Horrific
Quality of customer care: Wear a helmet

Absolutely awful, internet is as slow as my nan trying to put the shower on, slower than watching aunt Bessie's roasters cook on a really low setting, overall rubbish. Had this slow internet since we taken out the contract don't get sucked in as you can't back out once you have taken a contract out, it's cheap but imagine how bad your life is when you have to put a review up about them using your iphones mobile data!

I registered with them in on the 16th of August 2014, they couldn’t get the phone and broadband working till the 24 of September after several calls chasing for an engineer to come for installation.
Had an appointment booked with an engineer in which he dint turn up and could not bee informed he wasn’t going to show up, waited at home all day and yet I have been charged from the 16th August onwards for the services I hadn’t received.
I phone to query this issue they said they were going to take out charges for only August that I still had to pay for September. I expected them to adjust their billing date as I should only be charged from 24thof September onwards but they said they cant cause their system is fixed so now I have to be paying in advance of services I hadn’t use.
Their customer service is terrible, they wanted cheap labour cost so their call centre is full of Asians that certainly don’t understand or speak proper English, they haven’t got good knowledge of what’s going on my account. If I ask them question cant answer unless they put me on hold to go get answer from someone else.
The worst part I am been charged £14.50 for not having a direct debit which is not true has they sent me an email together with a letter confirming that they have received my bank detail how stupid is that.
Every month I have an issue with them always spending 2hrs on the phone as the customer service will put you on hold minimum of 45min before you can talk to a manager. It’s very frustrating trying to get them on the phone
I regret registering with them each time I tried to cancel they apologise just to keep me yet I have problem every month. Sometimes the broadband will not work and yet I have a fibre installation

Disgusting customer service, always foreign and don't understand. They made it nearly impossible for me to cancel after a year. I was bounced around different people who said, 'they couldn't do it' or 'I've reached the wrong number'...

The speed was never what was advertised m but the refused to believe 'my' test results because 'their' results were fine. When I requested to see these results they said they couldn't send it.

Awful company, awful business practice, awful people

If you want to get talktalk broadband make sure you agree the minimum guaranteed speed as you maximum speed because this is what it is gonna be. Horrible bufferbloat, connection is not balanced, so many ups and downs.. Even with a DD-WRT router perfectly setup it's difficult to keep smothness in the connection because of poor quality. Customer service are uselees, not qualified for anything better than follow steps and "speak" so, no any technical support at all, pretty useless.

Utterly terrible on every level: At best incompetent, at worst fraudulent.
Although having paid we haven't had an operational phone line for 3 weeks and the internet is intermittent at best.
Their customer service is equally awful with repeated calls being through people who refer to a script and cannot help in any way. We even had an engineer come and couldn't identify any problems and saying that all issues were with TalkTalk.
I cannot urge you enough to stay away from this incompetent 'provider' to save you wasting your time and money.

Oh dear, the shape of things to come. After 18 months perfect service by Tesco Broadband they have been passed to Talk Talk.

Net result is that my broadband now drops out at random times. I have just received a welcome letter which tells me to validate my email address, when I try to validate it states that they are not validating email addresses due to security concerns.

I go onto the website to see if I can get fibre optic broadband and get stuck in a continual loop on the website which keeps sending me back to the start.

So in essence, poor service, a welcome pack that doesn't work, and an internet provider that is incapable of building a functioning sales website.

It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Fortunately I am out of contract so if the service degradates further I can leave

Absolutely terrible. They continued to charge us after our first request to have the service cancelled, then refused to even acknowledge the request.

We've now tried cancelling again, but we have to pay for an extra month we won't even use. They say they'll refund the last month, but refuse to give us any written confirmation of this.

Avoid them like the cancer they are.

Absolutely rubbish, a internet provider should not be able to take money of people when their service is this bad. Waste of time. You will regret it if you use talk talk. Internet is slow and when it works it can't handle anything on the internet which shows a red light on the box. Not a good word to say about them.

My first contract has expired was happy with the speed and reliability and the best price at the time. Was thinking about switching supplier to get the best possible deal with was ee. Rang the talk talk call centre they were fast, polite and knowledge. Told them about the deal with ee. They matched it and made it better, get broadband, evening and weekend calls for 8.50 they also paid my line rental for 12 months and gave me £120 pound voucher (perfect for christmas). So I am effectively getting paid £18 to stay as a customer. Speed is what any supplier estimates and I get new router and set top box. Great value! Plus if you recommend a friend you get a £50 amazon voucher

I can not believe this company scamming their customer like they actually do, especially in a country like UK !
I ve been a customer for few years. What they basically used to do is get a customer , offer him slightly better price than other suppliers and make him sign 18 month contract. Mind you lower price (for example £17 for a broadband) will just 12 months ,, after that price increasing to £29. So you call them to ask whats going on - they say discount now ended, but they can offer a new deal £19 with new 18 months contract. So you sign it again. Year after year, as you dont want "over pay" . But I had enough of they poor internet connection and decided to run them 6 months out by paying £29 for broadband and change my supplier. Got reminder set 1 month before my contract ends as expecting 1 month leaving notice will be required.
After spending 30 min on the chat trying to sell me a new deal, I at last been confirmed 1 month leaving note is in place. I ve been offered to keep my number though and let new supplier know about it. I though okay - I only keep the actual same old number but not the line.
1 month later, I have new internet provider which doesnt even require telephone line - no news no final bill from talk talk. Contact them again , surprise ! They still providing me their service as I said I ll keep my number. So after arguing and providing them with evidence ( I keep all my caht copies) I ve been told I ll need to stay with them for another 1 month then they disconnect me. At the end of that month, surprise again ! I ve been charged now £39 , this time I was explained I m on rolling month contract now and another discount ended.
4 days left before I will be disconnected (thats what they said) . I really hope it will be the end now. This was the worst experience in my life dealing with service provider.
Never ever again, Talk Talk is a swear word for the rest of my life. Will keep you updated if there will be some more surprises.

All pretty much OK except the price goes up after your contract ends and they hide all the deals they have on from you! literally look on there website while logged in it says £34.00 P/M then go incognito or on a different browser 25.00 for the same package. They only care for new customers and won't let you in on the good deals when your a long term customer, make sure you phone them and speak to a person and haggle!

Speeds and connection has been good for a month, however we suddenly lost internet and lodged a fault with TalkTalk. They informed us on Friday that the issue was being worked on, then on Saturday we were told that an engineer is working on the issue, and would contact us between 18:00 and 21:00 for an update, which never happened. On Sunday we were told the issue was being worked on and would be fixed by 18:00, and then we were told by a different advisor that infact noone was working on our issue and that openreach does not work weekends (a lie), and that they would start working on the issue on Monday, to be fixed estimated Wednesday. This is unacceptable, and considering BT would fix issues straight away (including weekends) even though both providers use the openreach network, it seems you pay for the cheaper price by having useless support and terrible service. A total of 6 days without internet is costly and damaging for business, so I'd recommend paying the extra tenner a month for a competent provider. Disgraceful and useless service from TalkTalk.

This review is entirely biased as it only allows you to put 1 star as the lowest option!!!!

Talk Talk are the worst company to deal with in the telecoms market.

I Only ended up as a TALK TALK customer by default due to one tel being consumed by this bunch of utter charlatans.....

TALK TALK do not deserve any stars for the service they provide. As a customer of theirs they take the liberty of constantly contacting you in a worse manner than any cold calling call center trying to sell you something...When you have a problem its like the cockroaches in the basement when the lights go on....

The Broadband service they provide is a joke with constant drop out and loss of connection, which is just bearable even when it is working.....

Having finally decided to get rid of them things can only get worse than being with them.....

I am now in a bitter dispute with them as they decided on leaving to charge me a £10 admin fee which they never told me about & then see fit to perpetually charge me unpaid fees on every month, and all this occurs even after paying my final bill....

Broadband in question is brilliant. Unfortunately there billing is ripping customers off. And its difficult to complain. I had a contract with free TalkTalk TV for 3/4 of the previous contract. I renewed with free TalkTalk TV but was charged £4 anyway. Turns out I had TalkTalk TV £4 and TalkTalk TV FREE on my account. They cancelled my TalkTalk TV's but won't refund me £12 already spent as I am only just telling them about it now! So they have technically made it look like its free again and punishing me for not coming to them sooner. I could argue this but you have to call up again, wait on the line, ask to speak to a manager, then argue for 8 weeks before I can take my complain further. Not worth it but I am seriously considering moving away from talk talk as they have ripped off a long standing customer.

Awful. Broadband spped is pitiful - can you believe a upload speed of 300 Kb/s ( yes, I do mean Kilobits ) and download of anywhare between 4 Mb/s and 10 Mb/s ?
Customer services is based in India and some personnel are impossible to understand. They send text messages saying that they will ring at specific time slots and then they don't call.
Absolutely APPALLING. I can't wait for my contract to end so I get some other provider.

Appalling!!! Took them to the ombudsman. Phoned dozens of times trying to get an engineer to even come round the house. Got an apology and a bit of money through the ombudsman, they still haven't come round to fix it after they promised the ombudsman they would. It is exactly a year since I have had any service at all from them and now they have just sent me a bill for £30 odd quid.

Shocking, do not go with them.
