    Totally useless customer service, unfortunately can't give minus stars. Simple query that should have taken 2 minutes took an hour, 3 phone calls - cut off twice. Still no further forward.

    I only gave a 2 star rating for customer service as i have never had much luck with them. I would encourage any one to use the forum as it is much better.

    Absolutely terrible. They spent 7 weeks sorting out a fault which left me with no phone line and limited internet. Made over 15 phone calls, over 12 hours. Useless overseas call centres. Eventually got through to the "CEO'S Office", which is just another call centre in he UK, after the fault was fixed. Very unsympathetic about the amount of my time I spent chasing the issue and that had to take time off work, for a fault which they were 100% responsible for.
    Got a similar response from the 3 months previous, when the same fault occurred, but fortunately it only took them 2 weeks to fix then!
    Definitely the worst customer service I have ever received.

    For anyone vaguely contemplating using this company for anything, please reconsider and look elsewhere. During the course of the last 4 weeks our broadband has been either non existent or woefully slow (less than 1Mbps). My wife runs her business from home and relies completely on the internet. She has lost an untold amount of business.
    In common with other people who have submitted their reviews I have lost count of the number of wasted hours talking to agents, 'fault managers' or on line chats in order to find a resolution to this ongoing fiasco. Nobody that we have been in contact with has had the skill set, the technical knowledge or the realisation that this is costing us money and our sanity. Please do not entertain this hopeless excuse for a company.

    Been with TalkTalk for two years. All good, until contract period finished. Was DUMPED immediately onto a high rate plan without notice. This is how they treat loyal customers. Trying to get away from them, but they have lots of energy to pursue forward charges. Nightmare, use someone else.

    Can't put into words how bad this company is! They are that unprofessional that they should be SHUT DOWN for good! After they switched us from AOL to a new account they continued to take our money for both accounts even though we only have one line and they didn't close the account down. After spending hours on the phone for a refund of my money they told me that they had moved the money to the new account and I could have a refund. After persisting they told me they could send it in 10 days time by a cheque! to me They refused to pay it directly back into my account of which it was taken.
    After advising their agent on the phone (recorded call remember!)I have therefore INVOICED Talk Talk £50 a day for holding my money for the period that they have quoted to return it back to me directly to the Head of Complaints – CEO's Office, TalkTalk Group, PO Box 344, Unit 19, Southampton, SO30 2NP.
    Had a call from yet another incompetent agent claiming to be the highest in the tree from the CEO office saying that they wont be paying my bill and that mistakes happen. If the bill isn't paid then I will push it through the legal system. Already Complained via OFCOM and will be CLOSING ACCOUNT irrespective of any fee's to GET RID OF TALK TALK FOR GOOD! NONE RETURNING CUSTOMER!!!!!

    The worse possible service you can imagine with an industry low standard of just 1Mbps return link speed. Poor HUB hardware, cheap and nasty TV box and an incredibly poor support team who just do not care. Beware it is a total rip off!

    But try to leave after a few months because you are fed-up with their service and they just make it impossible and charge you for the privilege of saying goodbye.

    Cannot even give them one star!

    Terrible experience.
    Went through the whole half hour call to sign up - had a credit check and gave my bank details - agreed to a contract.
    Was being transferred to another department (third person) and line went dead.

    Called back and there was absolutely no record of my call.

    Think I dodged a bullet looking at the other shocking reviews.

    So annoyed they did a credit check and took my bank details.

    Will definitely NOT be using!

    The Talktalk is a thief company. It is also a ripoff from account. I had a contract from Dec 2021.Bill demand kept spamming till Aug 2022 for nothing. I cancelled by email and by phone. My regular was £21.70 and they raised to £39.20 which I paid. Their service is rubbish and I never would recommend this broadband service ever in my life again.

    This is honestly some of the worse customer service experience I ever had from a telecommunications company in my life. Even cancelling within the 14 day cooling off period was a nightmare, and they scammed me out of more money.

    Customer service is by far the worst I have ever experienced.
    The actually broadband is unstable, the speed is rubbish. When you try to call them you stay on hold for ages my last logged call time to them was 1 hour 43 mins! Still nothing resolved then they have the cheek to tell me they tried call a old mobile number that's why they could not get hold of me!!! They gave me the landline number so call me on that!!! Excuse excuse. AVOID AVOID

    Well then I've been a computer repairer and tech whizz for over 20 years, my internet was going down and down from around 60mb to finally 10mb ive tried phone them told them ive tried 3 different routers and changed cable . That i wanted the line checked they still said we will send you new router ive told them time and time again 2 months down the line im still 10mb all i get from them is send you another router i knew the problem in the end but i never got understood so im still on 10mb .......     This is the worst company ever - hacked 3 times. Very very poor customer service, took an hour to cancel my account via 3 different people each time explained I just wanted to close the account. Poor poor poor

    This company is a absolute joke. My husband and I decided to leave Sky, to join TalkTalk. When I called the customer helpline to join that part was fine it was after that call things went down hill. On November 24,2014. A engineer should of came out to put in a new telephone line and router. The appointment time which was arranged by the girl I spoke to the first time, and also confirmed by a letter. The appointment time was between 1.pm and 6.pm, after 6 I phoned TalkTalk to see what time the guy was coming out to do the job. I was told by the call centre guy in the the Philippines. The job was cancelled by them due to some issues with B.T Open reach and they would not be speaking to each other again till 28 November which is four days away, my Sky connection was being cut off on 27 November. I was given nothing but excuses and after 30 minutes of excuses I gave up and told them I was contacting Sky to reconnect with them. The Talk Talk staff member was not fussed and wished me a good night. Any one thinking of joining them should think twice.

    Following a bereavement in the family we had the unfortunate pleasure of contacting so called customer support to cancel and have never been so repulsed in my life, nightmare.

    Repugnant, ignorant, horrible b******s in no particular order.

    Been on a standard broadband contract for last 18 months and receiving an average 9mb speed with occasional dips to 6mb in early evening. Overall been a good service. Offered free 76mb fibre for 12 months as now need more speed for streaming and son on Xbox. Am aware the router isn't very good so will buy my own. Shopped around but all provide from the same BT fibre and none have good customer service reviews. Will have to see how it goes.

    Talktalk service is extremely bad. They have cancelled my service by mistake and did not give any compensation and every time I call, I'm always directed to an Indian call centre where no body knows what they're doing. I am an extremely unsatisfied customer and I tell them that on the phone, they tried to help by giving 3 months free line rental and they always say "they've addded that to the 'notes' section of my account. However, every time I call and speak to a new phone operator, they couldn't find the notes! Therefore I always have to explain everything over and over again! I have had enough of their crappy service and decided to cancel it, they want to charge me £58 cancellation charge! THE ONLY WAY TALKTALK MAKES MONEY IS BY PROVIDING CRAPPY SERVICE AND FORCING THEIR CUSTOMERS TO CANCEL AND EARN FROM CANCELLATION CHARGES! Moreover, they never give you your refund! I have been on the phone with RENZ VALENTOS and he has promised me that my refund will be issued within 10 working days, however, it has been a month and I still haven't received my refund! This company is a total scam! Don't deal with them if you want to get screwed over and over, spending time with their Indian call centre repeatedly with 2 hours per call and be passed around from operator to operator explaining everything over and over again!

    Please do not waste your time on this company. Nothing is good and when you want to leave them after years of paying they make it very difficult and threaten you with all sorts of illegal stuff.
    NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THEM. ADVICE DO NOT JOIN THEM NO MATTER WHAT THEY OFFER.

    Shockingly low speeds, endless complaints & the worst customer service. Awful offshore CS centre who absolutely fail to deliver anything & are unintelligible
    A dreadful, frustrating experience.

    Worst company I have ever had to deal with. For the fourth time in 4 weeks have been on the phone to them for nearly an hour each call. Tonight was 1 hour and 7 minutes. This was just to close the account.
    The quote they give you , don't believe it. The cost will be at least double. When you try to close the account after giving them two months notice they then try to charge another months notice period. I spoke to a Vanessa one of the Managers she was helpful, after 50 mins, more or less on hold, I was getting quite frustrated and she was helpful. Nothing they could say would make me go back to Talk talk or ever recommend them. If you have plenty time to spare and like phone music and are happy to pay double the price that you were given, then this would be the Company for you. Virgin:- much cheaper, customer service much better, and they charge you what they say they will.

    Totally unacceptable, rubbish. Wish I had not been talked into changing from Virgin Media by Carphone Warehouse staff. I'm going back to Virgin ASAP.

    They are phoning me night and day to try and get me to take their broadband. Keep telling them I am happy with who I am with but they are not listening. Keep blocking them but they keep using different numbers. I hate to think how they treat you once you have a contract with them!

    My mother has TalkTalk and their broadband is hopeless. We FaceTime and there is always buffering and slow connection issues. Since their data breach she always gets scam phone calls too so my advice is to avoid them at all costs.

    Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Product itself is far from reliable too. Switched to BT, i would rather pay more than deal with incompetent and badly organised companies like talk talk

    Basically a poor service, the routers provided are substandard, so far I've had 4... as for customer service and fault resolution pretty awful usual approach is to replace router but wont tell you which one your getting! So far costs have increased and 15% speedy payent has reduced 10%. Cheap but a annoying service.

    Waiting 3 weeks for the engineer to come and finish setting up the WiFi. The costumer service is horrible they can’t solve anything and keep putting you on hold every 2 minutes.

    It’s absolute trash, the bill is cheap, so what do you expect from the service, it’s ridiculously slow, nothing works, the internet speed is around 500 kmbps and at max it’s 10 mb/s, which is extremely below average, when ever you ring these people up to make a complaint, it’s like speaking to a machine, they hardly ever answer and they do, they read answers off a card. Every time you make a formal complaint, they fix it, and then within half an hour to an hour, it doesn’t work, and it was as slow as it was before, they send you free merchandise just to make you stay with them, and nothing solves the problem, when you threaten them that you will leave the company, then panic and send an engineer out, and charge £100 for the privileges, and to your surprise they tell there’s nothing wrong with the service, when there is. Save your money and your hair and switch to Sky or BT, have a lovely day

    Please avoid this company at all costs, for the sake of your own sanity. I won't detail everything I've been through for the last 8 months (yes, 8 months) since I left TalkTalk, but it's been truly awful. I have spent countless hours (adding up to weeks of time) contacting them, they left me without internet for weeks on end, their customer service is genuinely the worst I have ever experience from a UK company... I honestly can't put into words the level of distress they caused me and my family - just save yourself the bother and go for another provider, we've found Now Broadband to be pretty good.

    Please do not put yourself through a year with Talktalk. After a year of red lights on my router and having to restart it every day & slow speeds. I have spent hours on the chat trying to end my contract, after the 12 month term, but they just won't do it. Its a joke and a scam. They only get away with it since people wont go to the regulators for the sake of £30 or whatever they try to squeeze out of you unnecessarily.

    Firstly the customer service is attrocious. Not only do you struggle to understand Indian call center, but, at the end of each call if you are unhappy they ask would you like to raise a complaint. Complaints are dealt with terribly in which they leaders who deal with them don't know protocol but follow profit motives. The internet speed on fibre was a step up and can be really quick, however, it is very unstable and often drops to as low as 4-5mbps. And in a house watching multiple things is dreadful. The routers suck which options on the routers website is poor. Talktalk quite clearly slow peoples internet speed at peaktimes, sometimes so significantly it's ludicrous.

    Bunch of thieves, avoid this company at all costs. On top of this especially avoid it's relation companies: AOL, Tiscali etc etc...

    Spend more money for someone like Sky or Virgin, don't bother with these slightly cheaper but thieving firm.

    AVOID. I don't know where to begin, weeks spent dealing with incorrect charges, awful call centres that exist only to frustrate you. Intermittent and slow broadband. Don't bother complaining about your slow broadband, nothing will be done. Despite this I can't leave my contract early either. Taking it further, I can't warn people enough.

    This isn't a very good network, can't play Roblox on my iPad, so I recommend switching to Virgin Media, and it disconnects and it's slow
