    For over two months I have been complaining to talktalk about slow and unreliable broadband. Eventually sent me a new router. Now (when internet is working) download speed max's out at 1.8 mbps and upload runs at 0.8 mbps. No signs of receiving better service so a switch is on the cards for 2022. Any reccomendations gratefully received.

    The Worst ever network.My contract ended on May 7th and I requested via talk talk chat team to cancel my contract by April itself,but itnot cancelled.Then they said its my fault as I didn't call customer care.It was a joke that their customer bcoz their customer care was not opened.Is it my fault???Then they sent me bill of £34. I paid and said to cancel.They cancelled it and sent me another bill of £30(am not using talk talk from April2nd,but still bills coming because of their irresponsibility)as final bill and the mail says I need to renew my service to fix the bill. what a joke on this earth. They are looters. My experience with their network was very bad. not at all I get a good service throughout the year and am still paying even though am not using it. The worsssst customer service and company ever..

    I wish i had never changed from Orange, only went with Talk Talk as i have my phone and line rental with them and have had no issues with this. What a waste of time the Broadband is. I can never stay connected for more than a few minutes. If i try to download anything it seems to take forever and cannot use the broadband as wireless any more due to the amount of disconnects i am having. I am currently connected via the cable with defeats the purpose of having a laptop with WIRELESS broadband. I have contacted tech help numerous times to be told different things each time and still no resolution. I am currently looking for another more reliable supplier due to this. I would not recommend Talk Talk broadband to anyone.

    Have fibre broadband and rarely get dowload speed above 10mbs. Connectivity dreadful and when I do get connected it will cut out frequently. Emails can only be received on a hit and miss basis.

    WORST INTERNET PROVIDERS! I have made at least 6 complaints and yet nothing has been resolved . They do not run checks to see if there internet works they advised they wait till a complaint is made and will only try and resolve the issue for that day! Poor customer service. I can't even use two devices at the same time. They have not data to provide when I query the service level agreements to I know they are honouring our argeements! Complaints are poorly handled and promises are never kept. Manager call happpened once after 4 times of asking! I will never go with this company again !

    Very good, good speed and there's 4 tablets on at a time in my house.it was running but slow a few months ago either sent engineer out he didn't turn up but the speeds have been good again and received £50 for engineer missing my appointment

    at the moment service is perfect what more can you ask for. I was wary of changing to talk talk with all the bad reports but I'm glad I did now.

    Please run far away. They have put me and my housemates through hell. Countless phone calls where no one keeps any records. Guarantees of call back that never happen. The emotional nightmare of dealing with talk talk is fair to anyone. There is a big problem with process, communication and even our broadband when we finally got it wasn’t worth the wait. We upgraded and hardly a difference. I am writing this because no one should go through the problems we have suffered. I’ve been in tears in frustration on the phone more than once. Please talk talk take responsibility for all of these issues and value customers better.

    Follow up from - 11/09/17. After recent connection dropping (just dropped again for 20 mins) I spoke to customer service to ask how much it would cost me to cancel my contract - after 30 minutes I was still not provided a cancellation cost - instead they tried to sell me an upgrade! which is not required and transferred me to technical support, and I was told it would take 10 days to make sure the line is at optimal performance. I must point out my router is in the next room (20-30 feet away) and still the wifi signal from 4 of my neighbours shows up as equal or stronger than talk talks signal!!!! Optimal performance??? Which is -
    signal issues, not answering customer queries and 10 days to sort an issue???

    Awful awful people.
    I ordered talktalk mobile, decided not to use it (sim un-used still) but contract was established and so had to pay £12-£15 a month for unused mobile service. Even when I cancelled it, they still robbed me of money for 2-3 months saying I haven't cancelled it. Really awful management and organisation. As for their broadband.. its cheap but not that cheap, and certainly not cheerful.

    Lost internet connection ISP end. phoned customer service. 'overseas' helper didn't have a clue, reading off a trouble shooter list. Claimed my router was incompatable (the one thats been working fine for years). Told me to get a Talk Talk branded one before they could offer anymore support. Internet resumes after 1.5 weeks of own accord (engineering works finished or something). Emailed to complain about service (lack of customer/internet service)compensation. Gave me £3 as they only calculated the time since I emailed them to complain, and not since I phoned/or actual time of loss of service.

    I have no incoming calls apart from that other things work. To get this problem understood by their customer service, it is taking me near a wee. It is still on going I am afraid. Absolutley rubbish service. Customer service is in some place and they speak like robots not understanding what your problem is about. It goes on and on for weeks with your time and waste of money.I am als looking for compensation as I lost lots of business due to this bad service.

    Do not use TALK TALK, I closed the account, left the country, they carried on taking money out for 1 year until I realized. My bank helped me a bit but then 1 year after I received a demand from Talk talk demanding £222 which I could not understand. It turns out that someone has used my details and carried on using the service until 2013 even though I told talk talk about this in 2011. They did nothing, I even was in contact with the CEO who tried to make a deal that he will waiver the 222 if I do not request a refund for the money owed to me. Of course I disagreed so 2 years later another debt recovery is on my case. talk talk are incompetent , if someone says they are leaving the country then how can someone else be able to use the account? I now have to waste my time and call action fraud. I will go to the small claims court. Talk talk have not heard the last from me.

    This is a komplet nightmare . They should not been takeing people’s money for nothing ,they should be put to jail all of them . I personally hate the game they playing and please please please don’t never never never sign a anything with them they are awful all of them

    I had very bad experience with tak talk broadband started contract and service on 3rd November 2023 and to cancel on 16 November 2023 just after 13 days of my service start. As they said with in 14 days if you are not happy you can cancel for no any charges. I called them on 13 day of start contract asking for cancellation they for more then 1:30 hour make round & round offers. But didn’t accept because I didn’t trust them. Then they started asking me £170 something pence early termination fee for no reason when I didn’t accept they said our complaints team will call me with 48 ours. In which i will exceed my 14 days and they would ask me early termination fee. To continue with their poor service of internet i seen ever.

    Started a 12 month contract 4 months ago

    We started with 3 weeks of no internet due to a "fault in the line"
    They sent out an engineer who confirmed the line was fine and they have not sorted the signal on their end ... he also mentioned we seem to have a faulty router but he knew talk talk would not want to send out a new one as it will cost them.
    We finally had Internet but after 9pm the speed would go down from 6mps to below 1mps which is much low that our promised minimum of 6-21 mps
    The router would need reset daily and sometimes multiple times a day.
    We had 3 occasions when the Internet was completely not working for 5-21 days
    Custom.er service calls were extremely long and frustrating running all the checks which took 2 hours every phone call even when it's the same day just to finalise the engineer booking or new router to be sent out.
    Finally when we ask for compensation for having no internet and bad service 3 times for up to 5 weeks in a 4 month period ... the manager says they will refund 3 pounds for the five days that we didn't have internet.
    I've never seen a respected company that treats it's customers this bad.
    There are some smaller companies with much better customer care and service

    Talk-Talk are good.....If you are planning on just browsing the web and not watching or playing anything. I have the 38Mbit/s fibre medium and the router lights go red when I put any sort of pressure on it. I try to watch live streams and it just isnt possible, the router provided is lackluster and they refuse to accept that its the router thats the problem. They ask me to monitor the channels to see which is the best one but isnt that their job? If you want good service and internet pls switch to virgin media...

    I had app booked to fix my problem with broadband. in meantime the service was back on, so I rang talk talk to say that is no more need for the energineer to come over. I have been told by lady I spoke to that I will be charged £30 for cancellation , because I am calling after 3pm. She suggested to keep this appointment as I don't have 30 pounds to pay as single mum of 2. So I have kept the app. Fallowing morning the energineer rang me 5 min before arriving. I said that all service is back on so he will have nothing to do here. He said fair enough, thank you for letting me know. I have been still charged £30 and no one seems to be kind enough in customer service to admit that I shouldn't been charge.I am really crossed and upset with talk talk. Won't recommend to anyone.

    The possible worst company ever.
    Customer service is horrible.
    I pay them regularly for the slow wifi Im getting, but I have never known my ACCOUNT HOME NUMBER and EMAIL address since my husband done it all and we are now divorced.

    IT'S IMPOSSIBLE to cancel the contract because they simply don't give good service or any solution ever.

    The wifi is unreliable and slow as hell.

    I was originally with Tiscali which I had no problems with. I got taken over by TalkTalk. I had an issue with a charge and struggled to even find a number. They refused to refund a wrong charge and when I asked for it in writing I was told that they were recoding the conversation and didn't need to. I was told that they could resend the bill, but I would be charged. I am leaving them!!

    If I could give it no stars I would. Horrific company I have had so many faults and still have some. No one cares. I put a complaint in weeks ago and every time I ask what is happening I get an email saying someone will ring you in 72 hours which is a lie as I am still waiting over 2 weeks. Never been offered my money back as work from home but the internet isn’t working. They literally do not care, I have even rung up myself to find out what is happening about my complaint and they hang up on you.

    I don't do online reviews but this one is an exception. The WORST and most CRASS customer service I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. If you provide wrong address information and your service is not live yet, there is no way it can be changed. Best is to switch to a new provider. In case you want to change your email with them and the service is not live yet, you CANNOT do that. I have 2 emails that I provided to Talktalk - both regarding other services. Since I had to cancel both these services, I had no other email to provide them with. The customer service representative MADE UP an email address at talktalk.net that had the wrong password or name associated with and cannot be used. Now, since my service is not live yet (and it's not going to be live for another 1 month), I am left without any email notification from them. DO NOT TRUST ANYBODY there unless you have your contract written down and sent in email. HATE, HATE, HATE their customer service!

    I have been with Talk Talk for nearly a year now. It is simply the worst service provider I have ever had the displeasure of being in a contract with. The customer service is absolutely appalling, not only they do not care that you are not getting the service they are supposed to deliver, they are rude, dismissive and completely incompetent towards you. After many months of arguing with them on the phone, they sent an openreach engineer to my home who informed me the modem they supply is FAULTY, yes that's right, faulty! So to remediate the situation they sent me the same modem. TWICE. They then set a max stable rate of 54mps on my line (convenently set at 30%less than contracted rate) wich limits my connection and when I complain about it they NEVER acknowledge. Even though they deny the modem is faulty (and they are still supplying that modem to customers, even though the internet is full with complaints on their faulty hardware), they offered me to refund me for ME to buy another modem... It's obviously a pointless exercise if the line is limited, by Talk Talk. I now reached the point of no return. I will end up having to complain to Offcom. It's a waste of time and the incompetence is alarming. They should not be allowed to be in business, stay clear.

    DO NOT USE Talk Talk. After a decade of being with them an engineer removed my mums landline, she had Alzheimer’s so phone essential. Over 30 calls, DMS on Twitter, text talk and inept complaints team failed to stop them over charging 70 a month for a 27 contract. Failed to connect with eero and no help. Call centre is noisy and staff can barely understand and every department says they can not do anything about it. Talk Talk will not survive the appalling decline. Do not use. They take money off vulnerable old women and offer no Service or help despite claiming they will refund and send vouchers. If I’m are aware.

    SERIOUSLY, dont touch Talk Talk Broadband. They clealry train all there staff (mainly in India) to lie and say anything to get you off the phone. I have called over 20 times to get my broadband to work and they make up so many excuses and change the story so many times. They now refuse to send an engineer, even thou the last visit from the engineer said the fault is with Talk Talk. The staff are so rude especially the Indians and refuse to escalate my problems. SERIOUSLY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DONT TRY THEM, IT WILL END IN TEARS AND STRESS!!

    When it works it is not too bad but usually slow and inconsistent and unreliable. Response delay is terrible. Service is generally very bad with telephone support nil. Took 10 hours and talking to at least 10 people and something like 15a telephone calls along with a engineer home visit before any improvement on the service which was intermittent and went off completely for hours or days. This even when I told them that it was their local/profile setup. The engineer who came agreed with me. Still took 2 weeks before I got any response.
    Will leave them although the phone package is good!

    Never had any issues with Talktalk for speed or reliability but recently their broadband has become more expensive than other providers and they are pushing their TV service on customers that dont even want the TV box. They gave me a box last year that I didn't want and its still collecting dust.

    Absolute shambles of a company and the Customer service is appalling! This is an internet service provider who seems to struggle to provide internet.

    We recently moved and phoned talk talk to see about joining them after a neighbour had recommended them. Said neighbour had a fibre package which we were after. We were told there would no issues with our fibre order and that it would be installed at theirs and our earliest convenience (approx 2 weeks later). All good so far. The day before they were due to attend they phoned and cancelled the engineer appointment saying their was a problem with the line and openreach would have to attend. We then had to wait 3 weeks for an openreach engineer to turn up. He arrived believing he was here to install our fibre and wasnt made aware it was to repair the line. He wasn't able to repair the fault due to not having the correct equipment. The fault in the line was the copper wiring for the fibre at the exchange. We then had to wait another week for another openreach engineer to attend. This engineer was able to repair the fault and install my router etc. My internet wasnt on at this point though and after a phone call with talk talk customer services I was advised my order had been cancelled due to a "techinal error". Just a fancy way of saying someone in the office had cocked up! I was then told I would have to reorder everything and start again which would mean waiting another 2 weeks (at least) for an engineer to attend. At this point I had already been waiting 6 weeks. I requested to file a complaint with their complaints manager. I was eventually passed through to her and after speaking with her for 5 mins she had assured me my internet would be active by the next day and she didn't understand why the last agent had told me my order had been cancelled. I was happy with this believing I would finally be getting internet but of course this wasnt case. The next day came and my internet still wasnt connected. I phoned talk talk very frustrated at this point for another agent to tell me my order had in fact been cancelled! They advised theres nothing they can do and must follow normal procedures which would mean waiting 2 weeks for an engineer again to activate my internet. I advised I had an engineer yesterday who repaired the line and connected me up and that I also had my router so I didn't understand why they couldnt just switch me on. I was told this couldnt happen as they must follow the normal procedure. I demanded to speak to a manager and was eventually passed through to one. This manager then told me she wasnt allowed access to certain parts of my account to answer my questions so swiftly got told to put me through to a manager who actually can. Over an hour on the phone by this point I finally got through to a manager who could go into further details about my order. They advised they cancelled my order because of the repair to the phone line needing done. I asked why cancel and not just postpone my go live date to which they never had an answer to. I then asked why it has took 4 weeks, 2 engineer visits, repairing the fault and sending out my router to my address before they realised my order had been cancelled to which they also couldnt give me a valid answer. I was then passed back to an agent who told me they have just noticed fibre isnt available in my street. This is of course an absolute lie. As I said at the start my neighbour has a talk talk fibre package and just to be sure I checked with BT if I could get fibre and they advised me yes. The agent then told me it was just my property on the street that fibre wasnt available in. Yeah ok then why did the engineer repair the fibre line and tell me everything was good to go? Talk talk clearly just couldnt be bothered with the hassle any longer and asked me to cancel my contract. They never even asked whether I may think about downgrading to normal broadband they just wanted rid of me. So even if it were true and I couldnt get fibre in my street they just wanted me gone and again if it were true this has taken talk talk 6 weeks, 2 engineer visits and many phone calls for them to realise fibre isnt available but like I say it's a lie. I will now be joining BT but of course have wasted 6 weeks of my time on talk talk! Avoid them go with anyone else!

    If you want to be overcharged, have no internet for hours and be spoken to like trash by giggling Indian staff, join Talk Talk. If you want superb internet and great customer service, join Sky. It's that simple folks!!!

    for 12 moths hardly a problem ,but you get what you paid for. on reflection i
    should never have renewed my contract!!
    Over the last week I have had 2 new routers neither of which will function, i have spoken to 2 different cities in India at length and one in the Philippines and has spent a considerable amount of my own time,and all to no avail my old router still works though much slower than before.I am still in the dark without a clue whats happening .Though i have spoken to some nice people from several countries who are totally in the dark also.Today we will try Again . Bjh.

    How TalkTalk can call themselves a provider of internet and broadband beats me, i have constantly had trouble with them and over the past couple of months it's gone from very bad to completly almost non-existant.

    Many phone calls, many letters, promises of "Will call you back" which they never do so is nothing short of a lie

    TalkTalk has so called experts who even struggle to speak English about an English operating system.

    I have proved without a doubt that I have a problem with my internet connection, only to be told I don't have a problem, and almost to the point I and some others have tracked it down to a faulty router, but no TalkTalk are not allowed to send out new routers now...
    Thats what the TalkTalk expert told me, but it's okay for me to keep sending them money every month for nothing.

    Wouldn't we all like this type of business?

    If by any chance you do want an internet provider that will without fail......

    GIVE YOU MONTHS AND MONTHS OF GRIEF....MESS WITH YOUR HEAD .... TELL YOU NOTHING IS WRONG....TAKE MONEY UNDER FALSE PRETENCE'S....KEEP DROPPING THE LINE....TELL YOU THEY WILL PHONE BACK BUT NEVER DO....Then i can recommend the most rubbish / crapiest / useless / swindling internet company going...
    TALKTALK...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....

    Try them you wont be disappointed with all that I have said.

    Just take not of all the reviews. Disgraceful service, you never ever get an answer, they just avoid the issues you are facing
