    lying, conniving and deceitful is how i would describe taltalk. slow downs and disconnection is a regular occurence even thogh i am on their fastest bradband.

    Without doubt the worst provider, with the worst customer service. They were stealing from me every month,I say stealing as I was paying for a service I never had with them.I was 20 days without phone or internet, and the compensation I was offered? £20.00, insulting to say the least. Their appalling customer service is the worst I've ever suffered from any company, their agents don't give a damn, and openly treat you as a nuisance. don't bother with Ofcom neither as you have to be six weeks without service before they lift a finger to help you, which is unacceptable, surely it should be two weeks but I guess that means they actually have to do some work for a change.i wish that talk talk was forcibly shut down and the poor victims aka customer's properly compensated for the lies and deceit that this wicked company dupe people with. AVOID THEM.

    Avoid at all costs...i signed up to their service last month, I asked them to install before the 01st June or after 06th June as I was on vacation for that week ... they confirmed on the phone install was going to be on the 27th of May. Holy behold after a couple of weeks they sent an email confirming the install was going to be on the 01st (the date I wasn't available). I called customer service and they were kind enough or I thought so to reschedule for 07th June. On the 01st of June I got a call from an Open Reach engineer at my home. I told him I had rescheduled to the 07th and I wasn't home so he left. I then called Talktalk again to reconfirm they had changed the installation date which they confirmed verbally - they promised to recheck with Open Reach and call me back - never happened. After 3 days I got a call asking me if I could do a service test as my service was now live and got an email as well. I told the support guy the service was never installed unless guy illegally accessed my property but he insisted Open Reach had installed it. He booked a review with Open Reach and promised to get back to me on the 07th. I received a call on the 07th from another CS agent who said Open reach had rejected the review as connection was installed. Guy promised to call back in an hour but never did. I then made a series of calls where I was promised that an engineer would come imminently but never arrived. They kept on insisting Open Reach might have bought the ONT so I should I just plug in my router to the Virgin ONT. My virgin service was thankfully still active. After alot of arguments with them on the phone to explain my virgin connection was still active I went to see if I could plug in the Talktalk router...Holy behold the Virgin ONT has a coaxial connection and the TalkTalk an RJ45..no way they could be connected. However, as the Open Reach system marked it as live they would neither come to do an install or acknowledge fault...customer service is crap with no contact notes taken...I made around 12 calls to get an installation and resolve the issue but to no avail. Ultimately, I asked them to cancel ... they confirmed on the phone and the next day received an email from them that a direct debit had been set up successfully

    I cannot stand talktalk anymore.
    With the intermittent connection failures that clearly started because of maintenance work. then they try say that the issue is within your own home.
    Will never use TalkTalk again and will be warning everyone I know to stay away from this ISP

    Left talk talk when my contract was up in December 2020, to only find that they have been issuing me with default after default on my credit score - with no communication from themselves! needles to say, i am taking this further and will be seeking damages. I recommend you avoid at all costs, considering they ignore your cancellation notice and freely default your credit score.

    We’d been with TalkTalk for years and never had a problem until we switched to super fast broadband. We initially got great download speed but over a couple of months it went down to 10. Over the following 5 weeks we had 2 internal engineer visits, 3 Openreach visits, a new socket and 2 new routers. After every one of these events they marked the issue resolved without checking. By the time we left to go to Sky we were down to 1.9. Plugged in the Sky router - immediately getting 57. We did manage to get out of exit feed and the last month’s rental.

    Simple the WORST hardware hardly works and there tech team doesn't know how to fix any issues i had. so i tried to leave and they wouldn't allow me, i spoke to 7 people today and 3 Tuesday then when i managed to get the manager i was then cut off from the call and still nothing is resolved!!... dont go with talktalk

    They asked me 85 £ to change a faulty power adapter. Their own equipment is faulty and they are asking 85 £ for a 10 £ adapter which doesn't belong to me.

    Please please do not go with talk talk - My router came after the engineer came and then my router arrived 5 days late... it was faulty , waited for another one 3 days and does not work either - engineers so unhelpful so wanted to cancel and now have to call a number that charged to cancel - a massive joke

    Very poor service. I have contract with talk talk but internet always disappoints me.always issues about connection with devices. I want terminate my contract but talk talk refused to do and asking more money. No body listen complaints.

    RUDE STAFF ! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEOND SHOCKING !

    Charged when I didn’t even have a box from the provider ! Over charged for 3 months when it was cancelled have made my life hell ! Utterly shocked by the awful treatment I received would never recommend will be contacting trading standards as they took more money out of the account than they should just rip off merchants utterly disgusting service

    I was never contacted. I have the equipment sealed in its original packaging. They could not provide my with fiber, and tried to fob with slower speeds.

    Avoid them like plague. Tried to cancel my broadband after having the contract expired over a year ago, and I was moving too. First I was 30 mins into the call - they were not happy that I don't wish to pay an extra month for them. As I don't use the service anymore I do not wish to pay. Other big names do not charge you if you don't use their services anymore and it is reasonable.
    Well not for them. After getting put on hold for the fourth time I hung up - time is money. I could charge them for not making cancellation easy and wasting my time. I called again after realising that the first call wasn't enough, my account is still active while I clearly expressed that I want to cancel in the first call.
    So I called again and the only way I could cancel was if I agree with their policy otherwise I can not cancel. I tried to ask for the deletion of all my personal data which I have the right to (data protection act 2005) and I got that refused. I think that's illegal and I am already seeking help from my lawyer. That's corporate scam. I find it utterly disgusting that they are just money centered and making everything harder with their hidden fees. They asked me for every equipment (router cables etc...) they have provided or otherwise they also charge me with £50. Now the router contains information about the computers you connect and if I can not even trust Talktalk with a simple out of date contract cancellation how could I trust them with sensitive data from my computer. Not deleting my personal data is illegal it should never be taken into terms.
    Their only reason was that that they can't cut of the internet which is a lie - during the pandemic when I couldn't pay they cut it off straight away. Lies lies. Talktalk is simply out there to take your money and put you into a contract you wish you never signed. Not customer friendly at all.

    Actually I do not have a problem with the speed of my Broadband and I wanted to stay with TT but I have to cancel my contract due to their price increase. Last December I signed a new 24 months fixed price contract. The T&C of my contract clearly stated that it gives me a "peace of mind that my package price will stay the same for the length of my contract"! 5 months through my contract and TT decided to increase the monthly fee. It is a direct breach of the contract terms and I have no trust in the company that does not respect the letter of the contract.

    We were a client for over 10 years but when we wanted to move companies they became very unhelpful and even though we gave them two months notice, they insisted on charging us another years "maintenance " .

    I would not recommend this company to anyone !

    Charged for 1 month advance even though we ended contract due to increase in price. Now charged overdue charges. Absolutely wrong. Don’t ever go with them. More trouble than they are worth. Customer service is hopeless

    Terrible company. You pay more for faster speed and still lose speed. You pay a discount price for add ons and when you are going to leave they add full price on , That's loyalty from them. Stay away and you will thank me.

    Talk talk's broadband was ok.

    However, the customer service is poor. I moved out of the country and even though I called them a couple of times to ask them to cancel my account, they didn't. They contacted me 3 months later via a different company to ask me to pay for a debt for the services that I hadn't been using all of this time and which Ι asked them to cancel for me 3 months ago.

    When I contacted them, after 3 months, in order to speak to agents, the agents kept hanging up the phone to me. I was on the phone with them for 2 and a half hours. I spoke to 7 different agents which were not quite happy to assist me with my request.

    The last agent managed to cancel my account and I now have to pay for a great amount of money for a service that I did not use for the past three months only because the customer service was poor three months ago too and they did not cancel my account upon my request.

    TalkTalk hasn't fully disappointed yet. All issues I had were down to the line itself, at leat this far.
    It is however a "DIY" network, you better know what you are doing as their Support lacks knowledge.
    On my last call with them, some tech reset my router, no backup or even informed it of it, my custom configuration was all lost. Had to reconfigure from scratch and even that they could not help with as "DHCP" and "DNS" was not something they would even understand.

    Overall, value for money is amazing, and they are keen to help, just not always able to.

    Avoid like the plague, the way they treated this vulnerable customer was nothing short of criminal, I had £60 stolen, why? because I waited 3 weeks for an engineer who never turned up, they decided it was their vulnerable customers who should be penalized, never ever experienced anything like it, worse than cowboys, the ceo office is a joke and ceo Tristia Harrison couldn't care less, biggest mistake I ever made.

    TalkTalk spoke to my Nan, a lady of nearly 90 years old. During the course of the conversation she 'bought' call divert to mobile (she doesn't have a mobile), she bought supersafe anti-virus (she doesn't have a computer) and she bought an international calls package (she doesn't dial abroad). That was apparently all in 2018 and they've been charging her for it ever since. She has no idea about these services at all, she doesn't ever remember being asked about them and would never consciously want them. When the family realised she was paying twice as much in her bills and found the reason was all these extras, I rang TalkTalk for an explanation. They could only keep repeating that the phone sales person would have read out the terms and conditions so they did nothing wrong. I was asking them to understand that my Nan is way to old to understand what’s going on and she sure would never consciously consent to buying anti-virus. They didn’t care at all. Hence the very negative reviews. From my point of view they exploited her and it makes me very angry.

    I have been a TalkTalk customer for about 4 years. I haven't had any major issues with speed or availability. The connection has been good most of the time.

    However I have cancelled my subscription recently following on recent tariff increase announcements.
    This exit process has been a total nightmare. On my first call it was confirmed I could cancel without having to pay an exit fee in line with the official communication from TalkTalk. I have had to call now 5 times to get this processed in the systems. Every time I speak with a new customer service person, they basically tell me "sorry my colleague didn't process it properly". Most likely they are told to do so in order to have customer pay the exit fee without realising. Really really poor customer relation there. I won't renew with them in the future and will go with a competitor in my new place. They lost a loyal customer.

    When it works, it's fine, but that's a huge WHEN (and very limited). Most of the time speeds are trickling along below 10Mbps download, and often at 0.2Mbps download. It is only when I'm dry-humping the router, or alternatively sat on the support chat, that speeds surpass the contracted agreement. One reason given by support is that I have over 5 devices connected (most of which are idle e.g. Alexa) - are they serious given the average home probably has at least 4 mobile devices before even considering any home-linked devices (security, TV, smart devices, etc.)? I can't wait to leave this terrible service.

    Where to start! Totally un reliable and inconsistent signal. When it works it’s great but when it doesn’t it’s a nightmare. Contact centre equally bad - no help. Spent 5 hours tonight trying to fix it after losing signal for previous 24 hours and losing a days work. Regular occurrence every 2-3 weeks. Trapped in a contract we can’t escape with below par signal, network and service. If you value your time and sanity and need your wifi then don’t repeat our mistake - don’t buy Talk Talk, go elsewhere

    Spent weeks complaining about poor broadband performance, both written and alongside over 7 hours of telephone conversations to customer service and technical teams. Eventually the tech team indicated they couldn't resolve the issue so, as I'm entitled to do, I switched provider. Plusnet have been awesome, all issues disappeared the moment they took over the line. However, Talktalk have come for their pound of flesh and are demanding exit fees with menaces. I can't be bothered to deal with the agro of the markers they've threatened to put on my credit history so reluctantly paying up.

    No stars, in fact a black hole! 18 months of on going faulty broadband, spoke more with their call center over the last eighteen months than with my mates. I am hoping this latest venture into faulty land will allow me to leave them without being penalised for cancelling the service I haven't had. Awfull company .

    Absolutely shocking customer services. I have been without WiFi for TWO MONTHS. at first I was told nothing temporary could be put in place, then after a month they said they have requested a temporary line, I have now been told I can't have it! I have lost my job because of this and have paid over £100 so far in bolt ons. I'm told I can't be compensated until the service is fixed, but they can't fix it, so I cant cancel my contract! DO NOT USE TALKTALK

    Talk Talk is without a doubt the worst internet provider I have ever been with.

    I am on the fiber150 deal and without fail, my connection cuts out numerous times every day. When the connection is on my speed is never above 13MB. As I work from home this has been causing me numerous problems. On my package, I have was promised by the salesman a minimum of 100MB. however, when looking at my contract this promise is actually a maximum and not a minimum - this is very sly from Talk Talk.

    Now on to the customer service. Talk Talk customer service is NOT open every day, so if you encounter a problem on one of the 4 days it is closed, which I GUARANTEE you will encounter numerous problems on these days, then there is nobody to speak to in order to help resolve the issue. When I have managed to speak to someone every time I am told that there is no in fact no problem with my connection. Even though it is cutting out at numerous intervals every day. Instead of helping to reslove any issues teh customer service team spend more time trying to lay the faults at your door. For example, one agent told me that the problems are my fault and that I should get a table, place it directly in the middle of my room on a table and place the router on it. I almost choked with laughter.

    So to conclude, please LEARN from MY MISTAKES and never give this company your money.

    I have been a talktalk customer for 13 years, with a heart problem, (they claim to prioritise vulnerable customers) what a joke, last year I kept having connections problem, 3 weeks waiting for an engineer, he never bothered to turn up, I was promised compensation for that and for the weeks I had bad connection, in fact according to Ofcom rules a customer should receive automatic compensation when an engineer doesn't turn up. not with TALKTALK, THAT EVIL COWBOY COMPANY ACTUALLY PENILSED ME FOR MISSING APPOINTMENTS, UNBLIEVABLE BUT TRUE, SO I HAD £60 STOLEN FROM ME, NEVER GOT THAT BACK, IT TOOK THEM 3 MONTHS TO SEND OPEREACH TO INVESTIGATE AND THEY DID THIS TO A VULERABLE CUSTOMER WITHOUT BATTING AN EYELID, CEO OFFICE DIDN'T LIFT A FINGER TO HELP ME EITHER WITH CONNECTION OR THE MONEY STOLEN, EMAILED CEO Tristia Harrison who earns about half a million pounds a year, explaining my situation and health status, she did not even deem worthy of an acknowledgment let alone a response, for her I was not even a human being, not a shred of decency or humanity from that cowboy company.

    Wanted to charge 116 exit fee as I was moving house. Our buyers charged 27 by their broadband company how can they justify this difference. Wouldn’t let me speak to a manager then had the nerve to say ask your buyer to pay the exit fee!

    Appalling service! Complained numerous times about Business Broadband dropping out for hours most days, causing major issues, they did not want to deal with issue even though showing less than 1MB! in the end they said they could look at putting new line in but wanted to charge us. Moved to Plus Net and when installing picked up a problem that was to do with connections at the box, which they should have sorted. Will never go back to them or Recommend them to anyone.

    Avoid TalkTalk please.
    There are far more broadband providers that give you a much better service.
    Sphumelele & Ralphael are just two of the TalkTalk team that have cause my health condition to worsten by their lack of customer service.Shame on you...

    The worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Slow internet and terrible customer service. Switched to now tv who are so much better.
