Honestly I don't enjoy leaving poor reviews. This occasion however is a must.
Stay clear away from this frundulent company, who only seem to care about getting an order placed.
My issue should have been resolved with them as I spent at least an hour on the phone. The manager gave me reassurance, my issue persists.
The complaints department hangs up like literally stay well clear.
I have never been this shocked at an appalling service.
I will be leaving reviews elsewhere.
Stay away, they will lie and make excuse.

Honestly the worst company iv had to deal with. not one of the employees no more english than "welcome to talk talk". not being funny but if all i have to communicate is my voice... why the hell would you put someine on the other end of the line with veryVERY V E R Y limited english.
above this the connection is almost nonexistantant, forever restarting the router to remove red lights (this is our 3rd router)
phone line conveniently get cut when the customer service team cant understand what you want.
absolutely shocking. they have made me so angry. Dont worry this company wont last long. look through the rest of the reviews here. they are infact...awful

First off our broadband was not working for 2 weeks following instillation I called talk talk and after an hour of excuses they finally agreed to Send a new router.Shortly after I ordered one talk talk to box which they sent and had left with a neighbour who had told me he had received nothing however I had already been charged...called again for around and hour and a half and was passed from pillar to post with little to no help, after speaking to customer services again they sent me another free of charge however they charged me for it ! So again I called up after explaining the situation several times they agreed to refund me if I sent back the box I had recieved. Two weeks after and still no refund have contacted again with possibly the worst customer service I have ever recieved,Rude and unhelpful and completely useless would never recommend to anyone ever!!!

Total deniable rubbish, I'm lucky if i reach 4Mb/s usally hits 3.2Mb/s dropping constantly to 2-300Kbs up to 1Mb/s back down the all the way up to the dizzying heights of 4 to 4.5Mb/s for a second then plummets right back down to the low kbs again!! it can take days of leaving my xbox on 24/7 to dl 1 xbox game, so i constantly have a queue a games to dl and thenyou have updates 2-3 gb which means you can't play the game untill the update is dl but you also cant stream anything either because Talk Talk can't seem to handle streaming and dl at the same time! How these adverts for braodband show entire familys mum, dad, 2-3 kids all streaming , gaming, dl in there diffrent rooms from the one broadband provider (i.e Talk Talk) all together at the same time is a joke. And i use Ethernet cables over wifi as the wifi doesn't seem that great connection either! I also completely agree with one of the other reviews about constantly having to switch off and reboot the modem to get it to get back to its amazing 2Mb/s dl speed as it will regularly freez or stop all together. Rubbish is the polite word personaly I'd describe it in far more colourful words if i could ( and regularly do in the privacy of my own home.

I am so disgusted by TalkTalk's service that I don't particularly wish to spend any more time than necessary thinking, speaking or writing about them - they have already wasted enough of this.
So in generic brief, they are the most pathetic providers of any service I have ever come across. Their customer service is outrageously appalling and you purchase their services at your own (considerable) risk!

Our broadband is supposed to be 20mbps with a minimum of 13bmpbs.
What a joke that is, as we only ever get 1-4mbps if we are lucky.
The internet cuts out literally every 2 minutes I am not even joking.
Whenever we try to call them they never answer and when I try to use their online chat either my internet cuts out or they end the chat on me.
I am paying £33 a month to not be able to use the internet.. absolute joke of a company! never use them.
Ordered a package with Virgin media and cannot wait for it to be installed.

Such a shame that there is no 0 star option.
I have been running off talktalk for just over half a year now, and it has been the worst 6 months I have ever had on the internet.
They boast to have an amazing internet speed, but their speed is second to a snail. I watch videos, netflix, youtube etc, and it buffers every god damn time.
They offer the unlimited package, but it is FAR FROM UNLIMITED. I have to pay an additional £40 a month instead of my standard.
The router is very unstable. Port switching continuously. I lose wifi every few hours, and have to wait 20 minutes for the router to realise it is a router and not an over valued paperweight.
The second my contract ends, I am burning my router, and switching to a different provider.
TalkTalk, I hope your business fails. SOON.
DO NOT SIGN UP TO THIS NETWORK. YOU WILL WASTE ALL YOUR MONEY AND SPEND FRUSTRATING HOURS WONDERING WHY YOU EVEN BOTHER.

Have very much improved in the last 5 years. Customer service is absolutely faultless. We were having significant speed issues turns out it was down to a problem with Openreach which they promptly identified and rectified within 24 hours. I have had 0 issues since and that was years ago.

The customer service is absolutely shocking. The phone number is closed so they said to use the online chat which I did and I was disconnected 6 times, answered the same questions numerous times within each different chat, all over a 2 hour period and did not manage to fix my Wi-Fi. If I could put 0 stars for overall satisfaction and customer service, I would of.

Worst customer service you'll come across, no wonder they have one of the worst reputations throughout the UK!
They offered my mother an upgrade to the deal she already has, only to find out later they started a new contract.
We then told them to cancel this new contract, and they charged us £115.
Meanwhile they also decided to charge us a cancellation fee for another phone number on the account, even though we never requested the number to be terminated!
After spending an hour going around in circles with a talktalk customer support, he agreed that we never asked for the contract termination, but said he would only waive it off if we agreed to pay the second fee.
We felt completely blackmailed and cornered!
Completely unprofessional company, there are far more reliable service providers out there, not worth the headache, and the internet service is not worth it at all!.

Very poor service if you want to call it a service. Speed below that is necessary for broadband Tv and they still sell you the package.Give you promises that they do not fulfill. Stay away from them at all costs as you will only have a mediocre "service" and regrets.

The worst broadband service ever exists. If you are just one person with one laptop, talktalk may be 'ok' for you but it's very unreliable. I'm a talktalk customer for more than 5 years, and every year they keep on increasing the bill and now it's even more. I don't mind paying the bill but you don't get what you paid for.
The broadband is slow most of the time and sometimes it will just cut off. I called them up but they said i have to pay(£50) for the engineer to come to my property.

TalkTalk is a real pain in the rear. They have sent me a router (DSL 3782) which has issues connecting to the VPN. I contacted them through phone, live chat, and email. No one seemed to have any idea what a VPN is.Finally, they told me that they need to run diagnostics before helping me. I gave them over a month to do that. Now, when I tried to call them they just disconnected me after a while saying they have too many calls coming in today. On the live chat the guy just told me to go buy a router yourself. TalkTalk has the most incompetent, least helpful timewasters in the whole universe. You are better off with any other company. Avoid TalkTalk.

Talktalk broadband provider is rubbish, their internet service, customer service representative who don't understand English very well. I wasn't having the internet for 6 days and an Engineer visit was scheduled for 7th day, all of a sudden internet started working on 6th day morning onwards, and I have contacted them the same day, still they charged me for engineers missed appointment, when I called the customer service, it got escalated to engineer dispute team, and there was a representative called `Nompilo` claiming to be a manager of the team were saying I got the charges for late cancellation. Ridiculous, if internet wasn't working until a day before Engineer visit, was that my problem.. Talk talk is a crap broadband provider, wouldn't recommend anyone..

This is the worst ISP as i have had various problems such as internet turning off and being unstable. one second the internet's on 14mbps then within a second it goes to 3mbps with only 1 device connected at times. i tried playing on my ps4 but i kept lagging out. all day i tried to play and ive played half a match of black ops 3 zombies then lagged out. customer service has advised me to spend more money on the same router. I wouldnt recommend this to my worst enemy. they are absolutly disgusting.

I changed from SKY to Talktalk last week and the experience is terribly disappointing. The speed in evening hours is just 0.6 MBps. There is hardly a video I can see without buffering. Even FB pages don't get downloaded. Calling customer care is costing yourself another £3 for phone calls without any practical significance. Every new customer care executive provides the same steps when complained of speed, they will reset the router then they will ask if phone line has any problem and then ask are you using the microfilter..for God sakes I am using precisely that still the speed is over 1.2 Mbps consistently for 30 mins. Since my talktalk setup is just in its starting days, I have got free cancellation in 20 days, hence I will be cancelling the Broadband and perhaps go back to SKY or try out BT Broadband after 4-5 days.

Do not get into a contract with them. It is that simple. I have called them to cancel my 18 months contract and they keep putting me on hold for long periods of time so i cannot end the payments to them. They will try everything and anything to get you to stay when you want to leave them. It has been 20 months now. Find another company for your broadband.

Had the service for over a year and it was good so remained with them. No sooner had I committed to a new contract than problems started. Rubbish broadband speed and service failure on a regular basis. Disgraceful customer service as well, yet prices rise every 6 months. What I hate the most is their belief that they have a right to call you at any time with stupid offers you've specified you're not interested in. At the end of this contract, I'm never having anything to do with them again!

One of the worst customer service I have even experienced in my entire life, I have been with TalkTalk for three years just cancel the contract today, they always lie to you, waste your time and don’t really give a crap about customers.
Now they said they will charge me extra even though my contract is ending on the 26th of august, because I had to give 30 days notice, it’s been taking me 1 hour and 20 minutes to get through to the right department, they have been transferring me from one department to another, I went through the headache please you don’t go

Worst company I have ever been a customer with. Started charging me extra each month with no prior contact to let me know that the price was going up considerably - then, when I called them to ask what the increased charge was for, they had me tell 5, FIVE, different people about what was happening and I still did not get an answer. And then I found out they charged me £50 for the call even though nothing was resolved. Do not go with this company, if you agree to sign up with them, they will do everything in their power to avoid helping you if you have a problem. Scammers.

I was a long time customer of talktalk, why? Price. That's the only good part of being with talktalk. Where to begin with the bad? Well, half a year in to my first contract, I had no internet signal whatsoever. I contacted talktalk, who said there was no issue, I must have set up the router wrong, when I questioned how it had been running fine for 6 months if I set it up fine, the agent started to state I was lying about the issue. Engineer was finally sent out 2 weeks after my 1st complaint, and it was found that the wire beyond my property boundary had been completely severed! So I most surely was not lying, which talktalk were trying to accuse me of doing.
After this, I was offered compensation and an upgrade on my package for a 12 month period, which I accepted. When moving from the property to a property that had Virgin already installed, I called talktalk to inform them of the move and to enquire how much it would cost to finish the contract early, expecting to have a few months left. At this point I found out they'd actually put me on a 24 month contract as opposed to the 12 month upgrade! Which meant that it would be extortionate for me to leave early. I agreed to an engineer attending to remove the virgin equipment and install the talktalk equipment. When arranging I was informed that no one needed to be present at the property when the installation was taking place, I questioned this as there was a different type of connection altogether in place, 2 managers confirmed that I didn't need to be present.
Fast forward a week after I moved property, I get a phonecall whilst at work from the engineer asking where I was, informed him of what I was told, he stated it was wrong, and that he'd have to come back, he told me to request a weekend appointment to fit around my work. I called talktalk to rearrange the visit, to be told I was being hit with a £70 missed appointment fee, which took 3 hours of arguing to expunge, I then attempted to book the new appointment on a weekend, to be told the engineers don't work weekends, and the accusations of the engineer lying started to fly! A few days of calling and arguing i caved and accepted a weekday appointment. Installation then went smoothly.
The next bill arrived, with a £70 fee! More phonecalls, I had to demand an investigation, 2 weeks later I called to be told I was not allowed to know the outcome of the investigation that determined whether I needed to pay a £70 fee for being misinformed by 2 managers, so more arguing ensued. The fee was eventually refunded through means of me not paying a bill for a few months, and a little bit of compensation was given.
An issue that had fallen to the sidelines was the fact that the TV connection was not working, I attempted to resolve this through the online chat, and was met with the same issue I had with the severed cable, 'sir, everything is fine on our end, you have installed the equipment wrong'. I gave up and haven't used the TV package for 14 months even though I pay extra for it.
Fast forward to February of this year, my contract is coming up for renewal!!! Great! I can finally leave talktalk! I contact virgin, get a set up date, they contact talktalk to make them aware I'm leaving. A week before leaving, I get a bill, which is billed a month in advance??? I call talktalk, inform them that I'm leaving a day after the bill is taken, so is the amount correct considering I'm with them for 1 day of that billing month? Yes, £30 for one day is correct, I then had to explain multiple times to the agent that I was leaving, it finally sank in what I was saying, and I was informed that when the transfer was complete I would receive a revised bill and a refund.
Fast forward to today, I've been gone from talktalk since the beginning of this month, and I've just received another bill!!! I contact talktalk to be told I have to pay the bill as my account hasn't been cancelled and it's all my fault for not contacting them 30 days before leaving as '30 day notice is required to leave any contract', I point out that I am no longer in a contract, I am no longer a customer and that I can't pay the bill as the direct debit is cancelled and that they should be paying me!!! 2 hours and still not resolved.
Ofcom will be contacted!
My advice, pay a little extra and go elsewhere, talktalk are a shocking company, if I had one bad experience I wouldn't think anything of it, but it's consistently been a nightmare!!!
