I would put 0 stars if possible. Absolute thiefs. We have not had wi-fi for 3 months, so we say we want to cancel and they are forcing us to pay a cancellation fee. When you call and say you want to cancel, they hung up on you and transfer you to different departments with 30min waiting periods. However, if you call for an upgrade, they answer straight away. Talk Talk, if you are seeing this, you are truly the worst company I have ever dealt with and I can only wish you to go bankruptcy. THIEFS GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK

I do not usually write reviews but the level of frustration and confusion of dealing with Talk Talk customer service and the poor internet speed, compelled me to warn others to avoid getting into a contract with them. The process of leaving is also incredibly painful. I have spent hours on the phone, pasted from pillar to post by incompetent people. Truly shocking, its a wonder this company still operates.

The worst broadband provider I’ve ever dealt with. Horrendous customer service with robotic staff that seem to know absolutely nothing. Their strategy is essentially: “keep customers waiting on the line for as long as possible until they give up and hang up”. Do not use at all costs.

Very poor service. Spent hours and hours on Telephone. No appreciation of customers time. Poor Call handling and communication. Very poor response from Chief executive office. Had to go to Communications Ombudsman. At last proper apology letter from the Chief Executive office of Talk - talk on the direction of Communications Ombudsman's directions.

Don’t trust this business, just lose your money time and give you big headache. for first installation they send an “engineer” to check if you just connect the wires, that’s it. And you have no service for next engineer in few weeks, then you will probably have service “if you are really lucky” on top of that “the engineer “ is not showing. Imagine minimum 3 times stayed at home waiting not working not earning money, paying for car prak...in total you lose 3 times of what you pay them in a year contact! Don’t risk it. You are the biggest loser:(

Talk Talk is absolute the worst! In both Broadband and Customer Services. My best advice is never ever to go with them, unless you want to be put on hold and transferred to different departments back and forth for at least 10 times!

This company is an absolute joke . I have had months without broadband working sufficiently , no body ever gets back to you when they say they will and to top it all off they have now taken 65.00 in charges I don't owe after telling me on Wednesday it was there mistake . I urge anyone to think twice before using this company . The get out fees are a joke so I now have to put up with this until march

This company needs to revamp its customer service!!!!!!
I used Talk Talk for just over five years, then due to re-development around my property, which was actually being knocked down for a new estate complex, I contacted Talk Talk to inform them that my property will be demolished and I was moving away to an area where Talk Talk was not available, therefore cancel my subscription. This was approximately a three months notice.
Then around 15 months later I received a statement/invoice for around £160 for using their broadband service at the property which by now did not exist (completely knocked down a few weeks after I left.
On various lengthy discussions direct with Talk Talk they were claiming I never cancelled the contract. Getting nowhere directly with their Customer Service Departmeny I got the CAB involved, and after asking for the recorded tape (with payment) of my original cancellation discussion they never contacted me again.
However, a few moths ago I received a debt collection letter asking to pay the debt on Talk Talk that had now increased t over £200…..
Firstly, what person would call a company informing that their property was being demolished and would want to continue with a subscription to a service they could not use???? And why does this company pass this onto a debt collection company when they have not even provided a thread of evidence that I never requested a cancellation when they first claimed they had my conversation recorded and never asked for the subscription to be cancelled and then at a later date claimed I never called them????
My advice too anyone dealing with this company to do it in writing and recorded delivery and not over the phone….

We had no real issues with TalkTalk up until about 8 months ago when our contract ended, the internet started slowing down and becoming intermittent. We logged a fault and everything went downhill from here. There were numerous times we called and spent well over an hour on the phone to them at a time. Every time we called we had to start from the beginning as they hadn’t logged the issues correctly on their system. They charged us for an engineer to come out even when the issue is a fault with their line and service.
Eventually we logged a complaint because things weren’t getting resolved and we were paying for a service we weren’t actually receiving. The customer service from their complaints team was even worse than from their technical team! Never receiving any calls back when promised, asking me to explain the full story to them EVERY time I called them, arguing back with me on the phone! They are truly an awful company to deal with, with no respect or care for their customers! As soon as we have moved house we will be changing providers immediately. And I would highly recommend people NOT TO GO WITH TALKTALK!

Please do not use talk talk as they are so bad. They increased the monthly charge to promise us a faster speed but it is pretty slow and it keeps dropping. When you called the customer service they are not able to sort that out. We are really fed up.

Simply appalling. I have a Talktalk account, a bundle of broadband, landline & mobile. My situation is that I left the address of the landline, effective 21 June, moving in with family at a different UK address which already has landline & broadband provision. I still need mobile access. I am renting out my property & I'm currently in Europe on holiday.
Because I had previously used my current personal email address when I had previously had a Talktalk account, when setting up my new account, I was forced to use a work email address when I rejoined Talktalk. I now no longer have access to this email address as I have since left that job. Talktalk will not allow me to change the email address to my personal email address, due to the address' previous use. This email address needs to be changed.
On 20th of June I called TalkTalk & spoke to an operative. I can't remember his name; let's call him Barry Chuckle. I explained all of the above & was told that I would have to talk to a different department. He put me through, I held for 45 minutes, the call was answered & immediately cut off. Tsk.
I called back immediately, this time, speaking to, let's say Paul Chuckle. He explained that more than one day's notice was required to end the landline & broadband contracts, which I accept. I expressed my concern that my tenant could run up charges on my account. Paul explained that a "block" could be put on outbound calls. I requested that this be done, effective 6am the following morning, as that was when I was departing to catch a ferry to France. Paul explained that this action couldn't be requested in advance, but that I should call back before I set off; I assured him I'd do this. I stressed that, as I'd be travelling extensively in Europe I needed all of my current mobile plan provisions to continue - ie data & ability to make calls.
Day 3. By this time it is evident that I have no data roaming, lack of access to my phone's satnav contributing to a 2-hour navigation error. I phoned again, speaking to Mr Bean this time, requesting once more that mobile data should not be disabled. I was told that it could be enabled, but this would take up to 48 hours, & when I expressed disappointment, I was told I should have called 2 days previously - I pointed out that I had asked for this 2 days previously. Thankfully, data "switched on" later that same day.
A couple of weeks on & I reach my data limits & cap. A text tells me I can reactivate by phone or online. I try by phone - "phone not registered on network", presumably due to the disabling. I try online - "account cannot be accessed from your location". How then do I reactivate my account until I return to the UK?
After repeated promises that I would receive a call back in 3-5 days, a call arrived after a month, but the agent hung up on me. I called back to cancel my account; the agent hung up on me.

If anyone is to go with talk talk i wouldnt i have had to make a complaint after a complaint you get charged even though you asked to cancel for an engineer to come out they dont listen just take your money the internet is rubbish at times very slow there customer service is rubbish i have never known a company like it i cant wait till my contract ends with them not happy at all with there service.

Had issues with this service since the day 1! They sent me a broken router and said that it should work nevertheless! After trying to contact them for ages they decided to send me a new one which didn’t work! (yet again). Engineer had to come and fix this issue and we were promised a compensation for our troubles which we never received and we paid for not having any internet connection for a full price (never discounted). It was working fine for a month and the we started having issues since September, after trying to contact them through the live chat for ages, we were told that the internet line was faulty and we need an engineer but we shouldn’t worry as when contacting them again they will already know the issue and we won’t need to go through it all again. However, the live chat didn’t work and we couldn’t contact them for a few days. Finally, after reaching out to them they said there is nothing they can do at the moment as they are experiencing issues themselves, try to contact them in few hours. Which we did, but they didn’t respond. Today I managed to reach them: the first person i talked to said that the issue is the placement of our router and i kept saying that last time we spoke i was told we needed an engineer, he kept disagreeing until i said that i want to talk to somebody else. After 2 hours of conversation I managed to get an engineer booked for tomorrow, but they do not care about stress I had to go through just to fix the internet. They are not prepared to help others with the issues especially during pandemic when the internet is needed more then ever! Would never recommend this company!

Talktalk is absolutely horrible, worst broadbrand provider in the world with the most clueless customer service team ever. Internet always cuts out and they charge you for nonsense, highly recommend you choose another provide because talktalk suck and always will suck!

OFF AS MUCH AS ITS ON. CONSTANT ONGOIGN PROBLEMS STILL 18 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE AND ITS ALWAYS THE SAME PROBLEM - THE EXCHANGE. BUT TALK TALK CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WE ARE TALK TALK'S CUSTOMER (NOT BT'S) PAYING THEM FOR THE SERVICE WE ARE NOT GETTING
Talk talk are an absolute joke and their customer service and any contact is ALL via DELHI INDIA. Regardless of what speed they say you're going to get, all you'll have is constant ongoing problems they cannot be bothered to contact BT engineers to fix.
Its now OVER 12 months and they STILL can't resolve all the problems they have caused us. Continue to blame wiring etc at the home (which is just an excuse because BT Engineers have wired it all up) and all confirmed themselves the problem is at the BT Exchange in padiham and NOTHING to do with the home. Yet talk talk just like to keep fobbing people off because they can't even understand half the english you are communicating to them via DELHI
NOT to mention changing our telephone number over to SKY for 4 days without even knowing about any of it (I discovered this)
THEN numerous times including recently NO TELEPHONE OR INTERNET FOR 5 DAYS (SAME BACK IN FEBRUARY) - THERE IS JUST NO EXCUSE FOR THIS
The best way anyone can know what kind of service they are going to get (should anything go wrong) is find a direct contact EMAIL for them and see what happens. I tried this before joining SKY recently and well all I can say about them is its the same if you have ANY problems (they don't want to know and even managed to cock everything up once we'd paid and signed up with them) EVEN before the live date with them they managed to cancel it when it was paid for for 12 months
So if any internet provider PASS the direct communication contact beforehand, its always a good sign BEFORE signing up. Its been fail proof so far
needless to say we WILL be changing over again
don't forget to go via topcashback for a good saving with any internet provider !!!
the connection has just gone off AGAIN before posting this message. I have constantly sent hundreds of emails and speed test over the last 18 months and they don't care and never solve the problem which is STILL on going
If you are looking to pay for a service you are NOT going to get half the time then perhaps talk talk is for you !!

untilrecently i have been getting in excess if 17mpbs at my location this has recently dropped to 6.5 i have checked router computer and all is in order i can see noreason for the dramatic decrease in service i am advised that according toopenreach/bt the exchange which is is only yards away from home has no problems

THE WORST PROVIDER!!!
this is the worst experience I've ever had! from the first day of setting up the service we had issue with the speed.
They are not able to give us the speed we agreed in the contract! not even half of that!!!
it's been three moths and just send us engineers every month but they are not able to resolve the problem!
their customer service is awful. they are not professional, not caring! they are just waisting your time if you call them. I feel they are waisting the time by sending engineers after engineers until our contract ends.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT DO NOT GO AHEAD WITH THIS PROVIDER UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIST YOUR MONEY AND WAITS YOUR TIME!!
