This is the worst customer service i've ever had to deal with!
Noone knows how to sort problems, transfers me to different coworkers or even disconnecting me from call! I've spent over two hours on a phone to get nothing done.
Luckily I switched to different provider, I hope they will make better job.
About broundband I can only tell, that it was ok, but after contract ended, the price every month was going up and up and it's not worth it at all. Specially contacting customer service.

    Stay away.

First got talktalk in Carlisle because it was the only provider on my street and had to suffer with it for years. You will not know madness like you will when you get talktalk, you will learn all of your routers settings and read hundreds of guides on how to make it faster. You will become suspicious people are stealing your internet and frequently change your password and start to resent your housemate because when you both try to use the internet it breaks. But no its basically just trash internet, you will get usually less then half the advertised speed you've paid for and they will throttle your speed without telling you. Yeah its maybe alittle cheaper but thats because you are paying for no service.

Probably the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Can't change ownership without sending a form through the post. For a company that are supposed to be dealing with technology the fact that they need you to send forms via the postal service is shocking. It's 2022 I managed to buy a house through digital means and I can't even change broadband ownership without sending forms carrier pigeon is ridiculous. 0 stars

I never do reviews but I feel obliged to do one. Please don't go with talk talk they are a disgrace. Waited 6 weeks for broadband, they lie tell you different excuses and promise different dates off when it comes on. After 6 weeks the lady promised it would come on in 5 working days. On that day they cancelled my order. No explanations they said would you like to place a new order. Unbelievable. They contact number is an 0800 number, there is an 0200 number but it is well hidden on their letters and email. Spent £72 on calls. Please,Please don't use talk talk. They are disgusting.

I've always had issues with the speed so I purchased a speed boost, this didn't boost it very much, top speed was about 30 Meg in my area, the many devices I have connected kept dropping out, at first when my contract was up I decided to stay due to the hassles of changing over, so I reluctantly renewed, believeing things would stay the same they gave me no indication during renewal that my speed boost would be cancelled, I discovered this in the email they sent me confirming renewal, my speed boost was cancelled within days, so my overall speed dropped to less than 20mbps, I contacted them asking why they said my new package didn't support the speed boost, luckily I was within the 7 day cooling off period so I cancelled after being passed to several departments first. Absolutely shocking customer service, I was paying 32 quid a month for that, now I pay Vodafone broadband 23 quid for a top speed that I get frequently of 59mbps and don't get the drop out issue! Just glad I read the email within the cooling off period. Never will I return to them again. They are cowboys!

They sent me an offer. Half price internet and half price line rental (I have BT line rental at the moment). Called them to verify. First of all, instead me asking them for clarification about things I wanted to ask the guy on the other side of the line could not shut up and kept talking. Then offered me more expensive option. Then it turned out that apparently the offer is "old" (it was dated for this month on it) and they don`t offer half price line rental. When I said it is in date he "talked to manager" and said that "that offer ended about week ago". Lied again, as the small print on the other side says that offer valid till 30.11.14. That is how they tantalize people. When I said it was unethical he nearly shouted at me and treated like an idiot, because I don`t want to pay less, trying to redirect me and disregard the fact the the offer was purposely misleading and unethical. All conversation was nearly a monologue from the "advisor", I should have disconnected without word, just did not want to be rude. Lost 4 quid. Worst customer service in my life so far and a blatant rip off as well. I`ll check if written offer is binding, already have two of them. I`ve been with AOL, taken over by Talk Talk for 8 years. high time to change. Stay away from cheaters.

Worst broadband ever had better wifi speeds in a tiki hut with a wooden router powered by a hamster wheel in the amazon rainforest. My gran could run faster than talktalk download speed absolute rip off don't ever give them any money because they don't deserve it. I pray that they become bankrupt and homeless because of all the wifi problems I encountered. Have a nice day :)

I have no words to describe this company. Often the speed drops below the guaranteed and frequent deficiencies in the supply of internet ... By calling the helpline every time they have to restart the router. I am glad that I moved to another company ...

I have only been with talk talk for three months and im sorry i ever signed with them. With a terrible 4.2mbps and a regular cut offs every hour of the day i cant believe how they can justify taking money for a product that simply is 10 years old. They claim that i have super fibre optic but i disagree. 3 engineers have been to my house to try resolve this but each time theres always a resolve which indeed doesnt make a difference. 2 routers later and still no resolve im currently pushing to cancel and get compensations for the 3months of a none usable product in my case..
I must add that if you do try and conact talk talk they're going to try everything to make up poor excuses i.e. your router is to close to your tv or you may have a loose cable theyve even asked me to perform my own tests, opening up the cable box, so now im a technician.... this is absolutely discusting as i think of all the OAPs that actually end up performing these home made tests!!! All in all i think talk talk is a joke of a company and should actually be looked into by trading standards.. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM would be the main review here

What a big pile of steamy crap myself and my whole family have had with them trouble from day one trying to connect to internet had to have an engineer out 3 times, they tried to charge for this but with arguments wasnt in the end, then was over charged on more than one occation and was hell to get refund on that. When cancelling thethe whole thing was agreed no cost would occur and oh look £304.22 out my bank and after a long hour and 22mins on the phone agreed to refund. Not easy not helpful just a load of crap and have lost alot of customers definitely better being with BT no issues at all with them

TalkTalk are total rubbish here. Download speed of 13.81MBPS. Upload registering at 0.27. In fact this is optimistic. I was getting about 1 Megabyte per minute (yes, per minute! 0.02MBPS and taking hours to upload a modest video.

Signal strength too low to use. Many, many calls to resolve and been put on hold or passed around for over an hour each time without resolving issue. Engineers unable to fix. Asked to close account due to paying for a service that doesn't work and told to pay over £200. Eventually told we can leave without any further issues or payment, only to then receive final demands for more money. They then tell you you must have had a service up until it was cancelled, after all the many hours spent previously trying to resolve. They are appalling, and safe to say, the worst company by far we have ever dealt with!!!

I have had several calls to them regarding the broken service with no results. I will definitely not be using talk talk again.

Talk Talk are one of the worst service providers I have ever dealt with.

In addition to delays and only receiving half the speed promised, the customer service center is beyond bad. The agents clearly read from a script, no one captures call notes and you're fed misinformation and lies.

They may be cheap but it's definitely worth going with a provider that is slightly more expensive to avoid having to deal with their customer service center.

I was on a medium fibre package which, for the most part, was fine in terms of speed and reliability.
    However.
The customer service and overall competency of this company is so pathetic that even if i was getting lightning speeds 24/7 i wouldn't be happy to stay with Talktalk. They are infuriatingly useless over the phone and also on their live chats, they don't offer solutions to problems, never explain issues clearly, and 9 times out of 10 don't follow through on what they'll say they will do to help you. Save your sanity and go elsewhere.

I cancelled my old contract to re open in my name, been having issues ever since. First off it took them a month to activate my ‘go live date’ then emailed saying it’s ready to go only to find there’s more issues with the line. Although we had their services before and it was fine . The customer services team are very unhelpful and don’t seem to care. Strongly advise to avoid even if their speeds are very good

Avoid this company like the plague. Even after leaving their dreadful broadband service they kept sending us bill. Once of the tricks of this disgusting company is to insist you pay by cheque. So, if the cheque is late (and suprize it often is) you get charged another 10 pounds! This is a truly trashy company. Dont be tempted by their cheap offers. You get what you pay for!

Talk talk are the worst company I have ever known. The customer service is shocking. The only good point about the company was it was cheap but u couldn't give it away now that we realise how bad the company is. They changed the install days 3 times, then they canceled our contract with out telling us we was on the phone to them for 3 hours getting passed around . We finally got it all up and running but the tv doesn't work its constantly has no signal and the picture is pixelated every 20 seconds. We rang them they said it was our problem with the aerial yet we've had it checked and it's fine. They want £450 off us to cancle the contract, they want money out of us when we arnt even getting what we are paying for. The website is never working the app is never working. Maybe talk talk should concentrate on fixing your problems rather then advertising your services cheap to get more customers, if u kept your customers happy they wouldn't need to leave you, I woudlnt recommend this company to my worse enemy :) if you want a hassle free tv and Internet go with sky yeah you pay more but u honestly get what you pay for, once our contract ends with talk talk we will never return and I will make sure none of my friends or family use them. I'm a hairdresser so I will also make sure my clients never use them!!!

The old adage of getting what you pay for certainly rings true for TalkTalk. I was lulled into a false sense of value when i decided to switch to this ISP, as they were offering the same speed as my previous provider but at roughly £7.50 cheaper per month. This lower price is all well and good, however due to their faulty routers, of which I have had 2 replacements, and poor service, i found i was often left without reliable internet and would have much preferred a slower speed and stable connection. Overall i'd say if you are considering TalkTalk because you want a reliable fast connection, you should consider spending the extra cash to use BT or Sky. Further to this, the customer service from TalkTalk is appalling, they will do anything to shirt responsibility, and save themselves money wherever possible. Their basic "super routers" are prone to failure as their help forums can testify, however if you want a reliable router, so as to have a stable connection, in their "TalkTalk Hub" they will try and charge you £30 for the privilege. I would wholly recommend anyone to steer clear.

Talk Talk broadband was definitely cheaper than it's competitors but I wouldn't recommend it to any online gamer, anybody streaming some sorts of video or even anyone who wants to check his email...in fact I wouldn't recommend it no one ,even my worst enemies. My story with talk talk was endless resetting router in order to get some internet connection and for some very strange reasons this device developed skills to disconnect me from internet in least appropriate moment. It nearly resulted in throwing my remote control through my TV (and I like my TV). Going for this broadband supplier will cut you off internet completely so if you thinking of stopping gaming it's right deal for you...

Had great service up until trying to cancel, lying about cancelations, placing me on hold for an age in the hope I would give up trying to cancel. Taking all my details only to pass me on to someone else and say they can't do my request after spending 10 minutes discussing my cancellation etc.

    Won't be recommending these again

Their modus operandi if you have an issue with your broadband is to blame the phone company. They will pass on the issue to them, after a protracted period of checking the line. Fair play, they have sent me a new router when I needed one fairly promptly, but trying to get help from them is a real chore. The webmail service they provide is also objectionably bad, with a poor search option, general unreliability and horrible presentation. I'm also spammed by all these tabloid helplines everytime I use them.

Just joining other reviews quoting shockingly bad service. It really is as bad as most reviews say.

All talktalk processes are designed to make it difficult to get anything done. I was lied to during the sales, every form of contact takes a very long time, broadband reliability is low. I made a complaint and never got contacted, instead receiving emails saying “we tried contacting you”.

1 stars is too many, our broadband went down and it took TalkTalk 15 days to send an engineer round. No internet for all that time, when we work from home. Spent ages on the phone to TT, who were actively unhelpful, making promises they failed to keep. Told us they would call back (lie) told us they would not charge us for the days with no service (lie). Put up huge barriers when trying to cancel our contract with them despite being out of contract period. This company has no interest in providing a service and just wants to rinse its customers for as much money as possible. Please avoid.

Technical support completely useless. My router packed up, so contacted support they say oh theres a problem on the line, we'll send an engineer.

I told them about the situation and to send a new router. Rather than wasting time and resource on sendingan engineer. But oh no they have to send the engineer.

I went and bought a new third party router and plugged it. Shocker my internet now works.

Will be looking to leave them now for a provider with better customer service.

Avoid, broadband was always inconsistent on connectivity compared to the post office who is cheaper but a much better service. When I was disconnected they charged me a month I didn't use an late payment because I cancelled my direct debit there's no understanding whatsoever they will say anything for your money but aren't interested when your unhappy with there service. Won't ever go back again

The first week of having talktalk broadband was excellent, fast speeds and good reliability. But about 2 months later I would get download speeds of 0.10mbps and an upload speed of about 0.15mbps. To have a higher upload speed than download bemuses me. Definitely moving elsewhere, probably going to get EE broadband as I've heard they are good and reliable.

Wouldn't recommend anyone getting TalkTalk absolute shambles of a business

Change to faster fibre they said, well what an absolute joke it's been. Price hikes, services changed and cut. Even after everything was set up by an openreach engineer (who happened to have been one since an apprentice with BT), the customer service still insists on going through the same bs questions, wasting my time on the phone to reach the same conclusion I called them with, not once, but every time about the same problems, I don't waste my time with them anymore. Crap internet quality and their only excuse is it must be something in where my installation is located as their end shows I've got excellent speeds, not so when your movies are buffering and web pages take forever to load. Well it all worked ok before moving to talktalk and never had the issues of internet dropping out. The biggest problem is that the customer service aren't engineers, they work through a list of questions and then it's brick wall time. The sooner I escape this contract the better

Broadband speed drops to 1-2 Mbps between 18.00 and 23.00. Upload speed is appalling all the time 0.4-0.7 Mbps. Surely this can be monitored my Talk Talk and a rebate on your bill paid back monthly.
