If l could do 0 l would, had no phone for a week with no resolution. Makes it worst my internet went off, and after 4 hours of phone calls. All got asked was the same questions with no resolve, if l wasn't in contract with them l would leave. Avoid at all cost, it will cost you more time and money, than you will have the pleasure of there services.

No idea how broadband speed is because I had to cancel from the offset!!
re-arranged schedule to wait in for a setup engineer. All welcome email arrived & no contact at all to say there was a problem- then see in account their system rejected my order- for no reason, without prior info!!! Grr
The chat BOT can’t explain why- I stay on crsp-chat over 1/2 hour, then complaint BOT anotger 1/2 hour- still no reasonable explanation or suitable apology or solution.
Cancelled immediately- bad customer service from the start can only be a bad sign fir future service.
Bad bad experience- Total waste of my time & energy

Never use this company.
The day the engineer was due to arrive and setup the internet the appointment was moved by 25 days. TalkTalk couldn't even say why. They didn't manage to get an earlier date. I moved to Zen (who are great!) they got a new engineer within the week.
I therefore cancelled TalkTalk within the cool off and that's when the real trouble began.
I called to cancel, they said that it had been done and within 2-3 working days I'd receive a confirmation email. No email came. A bill came. I called again, they said sorry and said my account was now cancelled. A few weeks later another bill and this time the threat to affect my credit score. I called again, they said there was no record of me cancelling. It was at this point I made them aware I'd recorded the call with the rep and told them the date of the call, they then changed their stance and said there was a record of me cancelling...and they would now make sure it happened.
This has been going on for over a month and my account is still not cancelled. I never even had an engineer come out. Never used the internet. Cancelled three times now and I'm being threatened with my credit score being affected.
Never use this company. Zen are fantastic. Go there.

Avoid this company at all cost !!!!! I paid my bill late in January and February as my husband was not working. I paid the late fee which was £12 a month. I have been up to date with my bills since but on the 1st of may I got a debt company letter saying I owed money. I checked back through my bills and contacted talk talk who stated I don’t owe any Money. Talk talk said that the debt company thing will be removed from my records and will take 7 days . This never happened so I called they put me in touch with a manager who apologised and said will keep me updated and will call me 3 days later . 3 days later happened and guess what they didn’t call ! I had to call to find out what was going on to be told it was being rescheduled for the next day . The next day happened and yet again nothing from talk talk . I called to find out what was going on and to ask why i haven’t received any calls from them …….. they’re response as always “don’t worry’ . I called on day 8 as the debt thing was still on my account and then got told it was a error and it’s going to the back office to be dealt with and will take 3 days. Today is day 4 I contacted them again today to find out it’s still not been sorted! I completely give up with this company. I have been lied to so many times spoken to rude customer advisors. I don’t see why is so hard to just do what you say

Absolute ridiculous excuse of a company. Had been with talk talk about 2 months before the issues started happening. For 3 whole weeks I was without Wi-Fi. The first time I called up they could not get an engineer out for days. The issue was not fixed. After calling up yet again another engineer was sent out. Surprise surprise the issue was not fixed. Again another engineer sent- ISSUE NOT FIXED. Finally, the last engineer visit a whole THREE WEEKS LATER the problem was resolved. To my shock, I was still expected to pay my bill this month with a promise of compensation. After calling yet again to chase this up, I was told I had to wait 30 days after the problem was resolved for this to reach my bank account. 30 days pass, no compensation. After calling again today, I’ve been told the issue has been escalated and yet again I have to wait 3-7 working days for this matter to be resolved. 3 weeks i had to go without a wage due to this incompetent company, being told I still had to pay the bill and still not received the compensation! They don’t have a bloody clue what they’re doing and I cannot wait for my contract to be up so I never have to deal with this again. Do not use!!

I waited for engineer to start up my broadband for 4weeks. No one showed up and no one called to cancel. This then happened 2 more times over 3 months. No set up, no internet connection for 4 months. I called to cancel the contract but they threatened me with early termination fee of over £800. Had to write a letter to their office before a solution but they kept deducting monthly even after they apologized and promised to cancel the contract. I cancelled the direct debit and this company has destroyed my credit score

We were contacted by TalkTalk to say we had cancelled our contract to another supplier. It was not true as existing contract runs out 2024. They said the new co had an unusual name. They then talked my husband into renewing a contract for 12 months. He wasnt aware our contract didn't end until 24. He agreed. We had 6 letters saying sorry you are leaving saying we will owe over £120. We then had a letter re new contract. This week they disconnected us! I had emailed saying we didnt need a contract as we had one already. We have rang so many times, a promise to ting us back, putting us through to other depts, being cut off and still no response. Customer service is absolutely appalling. It says chat on line and all you get is the stupid chat bot. Once again sent urgent email. No response. Utterly disgraceful.

No Internet for 2 weeks due woeful failings. They stated that they diagnosed the line and it was working (so likely router issue). They said they would send an engineer and charge us £75. This appointment was a week later. 1 week on the engineer said it was a router problem, but didn't have them in his van (lack of supply). He chalked talk talk who had to speak to me. They said could not send one for another week. In the mean time I have for bt WiFi. This is too slow for work or streaming. I am using mobile data. Tried calling back and they hung up on me and they did not answer their phone during working hours, stating they were closed. Still have no Internet. Woeful.

If I could give them a zero i definitely would have! Because when something goes wrong or stops working your stuck and there's no help whatsoever from this s*** company.
This company is a serious issue. I have been with them for years and always paid on time. I have no broadband for 3 weeks. I have 3 young children and was having a very hard time. I decided to cancel my dd and went to bt because i have contacted them on their webchat and have been lied to. I have contacted them over the phone and have been lied to again. Im sure it doesnt take 3 weeks to receive a new router. I requested to speak to the manager and i have been told there is no manager to speak with. No wonder everyone's complaining and on the same boat with this company. The customer service is disgusting. I have tried to contact them to refund my money because ive had no Internet and im just shocked what kind of hooligans they have on the phone. They lie, every single person of theirs is a scammer, fraudsters, they are rude and they cant even speak basic english and not only that they will cut your call off if they get caught in their own lies. This company needs to be shut down! Now instead of giving me a refund they have sent me an email telling me to pay £127 for ending the contract which on my account clearly says it ended in 2022, well even if it didnt end i was clearly forced to leave because it was clear that the issue was never getting resolved. This company is nothing but fraudulent. What should i pay them for? For not having any Internet? Such a bad company guys dont make the mistake to go with them they will really mess you about and lie to you. I was told i would receive compensation which i know i will never get because this company is shambles. They were quick to send me the email that i have ended the contract before and i have to pay but its been over 3 weeks and they couldnt send me a new router. Do they think this is a joke? Lying to customers. The only thing their telephone staff say is oh im sorry, i apologise, and when they dont have anything else to say its ill just put you on hold and investigate further. When they come back they havent done s*** all just a tactic to waste your time and nothing else because to every staff i have spoken to i have been on the phone for hours constantly repeating my self its so FRUSTRATING!! they dont listen and when you talk they will say ok ok ok ok in other word shut up! This company is a big issue and a serious one. I am posting this on every website so people dont fall into their filthy and cunning traps!!!

Wow! 8 weeks and still NO Broadband. Customer service advisers are useless, engineers haven’t showed up twice, don’t even have the decency to let you know. Out of pocket for extra child care whilst I had to sit in on my days off waiting for them to show and didn’t. Called to complain was told I would be called back after 2, needless to say I had to make 2 phone calls the next day still no further forward! Couldn’t rate the broadband speed or reliability as I still don’t have any, but if its anything like the service I’ve received so far then i can’t imagine it’s any good x

Ok, so it started out well, one year of seamless, great internet, then in the last 8 months of the contract, awful, awful, AWFUL! Severe upload ping, made gaming and streaming impossible. Customer service were literally not helpful at all and now forced to FTTP and cannot leave. Out of contract, gave 30 days notice to cancel. Come the final day, they cancel the phone line but not the Fibre line, telling me I have to stay another 30 days for that line?? Ridiculous. When I finally get rid of them. Never again!

We had the displeasure of having a supposed service which was faulty - sometime up but mostly down. A fault on line was never corrected and it took the magnificent EE (to whom we migrated) to resolve the problem with Openreach. The customer service is the worst I've ever encountered. Robotic call operators, stuck on a script, talking over me, being generally unco-operative and rude. We had no choice but to cancel or go live in a pre-historic cave. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Honestlty do not know why I opted for the faster broadband package which they promise to stay fast. Obviously a lie as I only noticed a minor increase in speed and this gradually declined to a point where online gaming was impossible. Knowing all of the bad press regarding their piss poor customer service I switched to another company because I am not one for spending 3hours on a line with somebody reading from a script card as to why I am not actially going to be leaving. Nope let the other company deal with it. Then they took next months money from my account anyways. Why should I pay for a piss poor service that has been in breach of my contractual agreement for the past few months? Sky did this as did Virgin. Offer faster service for more money and deliver for the cooling off period before dropping speeds to the standard level and if they can get away with it then they drop those speeds as much as possible. Honestly pissed off at UK Broadband providers. With EE now and hope they are a lot better.
Thanks for listening to my rant folks.

Spoke to a lady today who basically said I had to pay for the days my Internet was not working . I was told one thing by one lady and something else by another. Not being rude but they don't understand English properly.
They say they record there conversation for training purposes but when I told her to listen to the last conversation so she knows what I was told last she just kept repeating the same thing over and over again like a machine .
Will start looking for new Internet from today save yourself the hassle don't join these guys

I decided to choose TalkTalks over the others because they were offering Amazon Prime for 12 months for free (black week deal).
I was already contacting them over 10 times and I already received all possible answers - “I will receive the voucher soon”, “I have to wait few more days”, “some manager will contact me”…
However, I still have not received mentioned voucher.
Definitely would not recommend.

Easily the worst customer service I have experienced. Switched to another provider and was out of contract but could not get anyone from Talk Talk to agreed to terminate my service so I kept receiving bills. No one on their web chat system has any authority to do anything except waste your time. They insist on you speaking to someone from their retentions team and claimed that they will call you back but no one ever calls. Wasted 120 minutes of my life on web chat and phone plus sent emails just to try and clear everything up and do the right thing. Sadly Talk talk wouldn't know what customer service was if it stared them in the face. And to put a former customer through that kind of experience only means that person will never be a customer ever again and will proactively tell others to avoid the company so it is very poor from the perspective of their business.

The most incompetent company i ever had business with. The situation is this. 6 or seven years ago i have signed a contract with them. So what happened next:
1.They fail to get me online on time.
2.They never sended me a contract copy.
3.After few months of signing a contract with them i have moved out from my place but during the moving home process i lost the only flyer with my account login details that was provided to me.
4. I tried to get my broadband back to my new place but they refused to talk to me because:
a) my personal detail didn't matched with the detail they had on me. (HOW?)
b) so after trying to talk to them via "lifechat" - 1 hour of call and more then a month trough emails, to fix this mistake, THE ONLY ANSWER I GOT ALL THIS TIME WAS: PLEASE ANSWER THE SEQURITY QUESTIONS (WHICH I HAVE NEVER SETED UP) THAT WE COULD DISCUSS THIS MATTER WITH YOU.
c) They refuse to to provide elternative way to prove my identity, when i asked for it during the one hour phone call.
5. I have informed them that i'm terminating my contract with them and stopped all payment's for it.
6. Now, after few years they coming back demanding money from me for unprovided services.

I haven't used my internet since November.I asked if it could be suspended while I didn't need it. The answer was no. I knew my contract ended 19th April. Obviously I would not be renewing it. I contacted TalkTalk on 22nd March by email stating I did not want to renew my contract. On 15th April I received a bill for the coming May. I have now been told I will not only be charged for the whole of April, but also for the 10 days after 19th May!! I haven't signed anything or given the go ahead for any contracts to be renewed. Obviously I will be raising a dispute.. Absolutely shocking customer service.

Horrible!!! I'm a talk talk customer for 7 years, and there were always some issues with connection, either half day was off or it was very slow. I moved to another adress, and took the router with me, reported the change of adress. They cut me off on the old adress on Friday, saying On the new adress it will be working only on Wednesday when open reach engineer will come. Engineer said all is sorted out and after midnight will be connected, which didn't happen. Called them on Thursday, spent 45 min on the line checking all the cables and sockets as the woman on the phone asked me to, then got engineer booked on Tuesday the next week which is already almost two weeks without Internet. Engineer come, said there is nothing he can do cuz they have suspended my account in the system, that's why it isn't working. Called them in my presence, they said should be okay after 40 min, which also didn't happen. Called them again the next day, spent another 50 min on the phone, they said they will redirect it to a higher department and get back to me within next couple of days so I told them I won't be waiting that long and would like to cancel. Next day I'm getting a letter that I should pay 180 pounds early cancellation fee! So I call them again, being redirected from one department to another, and finally someone says that he just unblocked my account and within 20 min it should be working! Just to make sure he promised he will call me back in half an hour. One hour later, no Internet, no phone call from them. They called me after a week asking if my issue has been resolved, when I said It wasn't and I'm not going to pay the fee, they only said they are sorry I'm leaving and sent me another letter to pay the 180 pounds!!! I didn't want to cancel my contract, was forced to do so because I couldn't afford buying additional mobile data for another weeks until they will provide me with service and they still have guts to ask for a cancellation fee!!!
And the customer service takes ages, people there don't listen to what you try to tell them, just automatically asking you to check the wiring!

Had Talk Talk installed yesterday for it to work for only 5 mins. 10 phone calls to them been transferred from department to department and I still have no Internet. Today I've been told I now have to wait for City Fibre to contact me to arrange an appointment for an engineer to come out which will be within the next 3 days. If this issue is not resolved by then I will be cancelling my contract and go elsewhere. Very dissatisfied by the whole issue and it has been so stressful and upsetting so far.

Shockingly bad customer service: unprofessional, opaque, obstructive, unhelpful, unreliable, and untruthful….I could go on but you get the picture.
Really, how long does it take to notify the person you’re communicating with that you’ll not be renewing the contract, which is on a set date. Should be minutes right?
Yet at least 3.5 hours total combined on chat and on the phone over a couple of days (March & April), with them repeating the same script and applying the same shenanigans is quite frankly underhand, as well as unkind. And at the end of all that, still no definitive “I can confirm that’s now done for you, thanks for having chosen talktalk, we’re sorry to see you go, but please do consider us again in the future”, or words to that effect; just basic decency.
All I wanted to do was not renew my contract. I’m not with anyone else, and their hardware’s been sitting there all boxed up ready for them to send me the returns bag. Let’s see if that does happen.
I’ve given 1 star as their shameful behaviour during those ‘customer service’ encounters overrides everything else.

I had never had to phone their customer service on the 4 years I was with them, but I've been trying to cancel my broadband due to moving house. First time phoned 6 weeks ago. After a frustrating conversation, I thought I had cancelled. Until I realised I had been charged again and my account online was still active. I was on the phone for 1 h next time, passed on to "the right department" 5 times. Obviously, each time having to explain and repeat the security answers. Finally, they raised it to a supervisor as they could not click cancel because the key was grey. True or maybe blocked by something done on my first phone call, I don't know. I don't even know if my contract has been terminated. I can't cancel my direct debit as then I'd be at fault. Meanwhile, I'll have to waste another hour in 4 days time to confirm a cancellation I thought was processed a few weeks ago, possibly be charged for something I don't use until my contract runs out in June.

Do not touch this company with a fifty foot pole. Their customer service is so bad it is set to become legendary. If they were set up by Jeremy Beadle to be tragically awful for a joke I’d say he’s overdone it. The bots are the only sensible voices in the company. Painfully useless group of people.

Talk talk is the worst company imaginable, avoid them at all costs!!
I cancelled my direct debit with them given my services ended after having to give 30 days notice. my bill doubled because it was outside of the contract. Because talktalk charges in advance, they sent me a bill on the 8th Feb for £42. Given my services at 12.01am ended on the 9th Feb I ignored it(waiting for talktalk to credit back), but because it took them 6 weeks to credit it back. I received a missed payment flag on my credit score. So now my 10+ years of a perfect credit report is ruined. Loans are refusing me credit! Then I contact customer service and either the people can't communicate effectively or they give me a different story each time. I have tried contacting the credit agency, for which they contact talk talk but they won't accept removing it. Don't risk dealing with this company, virgin media is a lot better.

My monthly charge was increased to %50+ and I decided to change providers Feb 27. 2023.I am way over the contract period. I found a new price of £22+ per month. Next day TT phoned from their Manchester office offering the same price but £100 compensation, upgrade to fastest speed and unlimited phone. I accepted as they control my email.
14th March an engineer from Kelly Comms arrived and I let him in. This involved a 140 mile trip. He left after fixing the connection in the street box and said it would take 20 minutes to come on. After 90 minutes the phone and Internet didn't work. Back to my other address to use another phone and i phoned Manchester to report it not working both on phone and Internet. The operator said my new account had stuck and they would try to fix it. Two weeks later still not working. Called Manchester again and told they had cleared problems and it would now work. South African office called to check my phone number and correct the account details. The account is all correct. Every time I call, despite being on the account they insist on me reading my details and password etc.
Two more weeks and still no phone line or Internet. Also the £100 compensation is not into my account but it's an American token system where I get a virtual £100 on my phone, but this doesn't work either because it won't accept the codes that they email.
I decided to cancel 3rd April and Manchester can't do it so connects me to a man with an Indian accent. He can't cancel without taking all my details including the new account number three times and putting me on hold 3x over half an hour. In the end I told him that I would stop the DD and he then said I would have to contact them again to check the cancellation had gone through. This will take me beyond the 10 days they said I had to cancel without charges. They then sent an email threatening to take me to court if I didn't pay subsequent charges and this would affect my credit worthiness.
