    Terrible service what a nightmare running a business which we rely on aphone line and internet waiting 8 weeks still no phone line or internet shocking customer service. I’ve been promised on numerous occasions that I would have a call to update me still no call. Should have gone with bt or virgin and still no update as to when I will have internet or a phone line

    SIMPLY AVOID!
    If you enjoy your peace of mind. Since i changed over to fibre, their internet is a nightmare. It is almost 2months and they still trying to determine what the issue is. Internet keeps dropping. Very unreliable. Speeds are 2.3Mbps but they advertise 500Mbps.Worse than the previous broadband connection. Been on phone calls for more that 10hrs past 2weeks and still nothing. You will be transferred over and over and put on hold for every question you ask. On complaining the agents just keep insisting the internet speeds cannot be guaranteed over wireless connection. Twice i have spoken with very rude agents, the lady (Louise) was raising her voice and speaking over me throughout the call. I simply concluded by saying lets not take it personally it's just internet. Changing my provider ASAP

    Absolute shambles ...appalling customer service from staff l could not understand,mis information, hopeless product knowledge, hanging on the phone for over one hour while they went away to discuss my problem.
    The only plus point was the engineer who called, he was a diamond.

    Ordered business broadband and got an email soon after saying the order is in a state of rejection due porting issues on the line. Also received a telephone call regarding this issue and asked them to just leave it and cancel the order. They did not cancel the order and kept on trying to take over the line from my current provider. So decided to give them a call today and first person I spoke with transferred me to another department where I was on hold for about 35 mins and when someone finally answered he kept putting me on hold after asking for bits of information name, address etc etc. Total hold 1 hrs 16 mins and he tells me he cannot do anything because the details don't match. All I wanted to do was to check if the order had been cancelled successfully and if not to cancel the order. Never going with talk talk ever again. I have TV and broadband at home which I will be cancelling now. This company is not recommended at all.

    Won't recommend it to my worst enemy

    fro starts, the broadband itself often failed to meet its minimum Mbps. The contract is coming to an end, so I called the number provided on their website for cancelations (03451720088) but it connected me to the 'retention department'. They are obviously trained to make it as hard as possible for a customer to cancel their account, and probably lose out on financial incentives if the account is cancelled. They don't listen or speak to the customer in a professional manner at all and they don't cancel your account even when they said they would.

    It took me 5 phone calls, 3 and a half hours over two days to finally get an email from a manager confirming the cancelation.

    Connection cutouts every day. Being told I need to upgrade my package to get a stable internet. Being circled around for half an hour on the phone after asking to speak to management. Being told I'll be contacted by management multiple times and yet 3 days have passed with no call.
    2 Years ago I would have recommended this company to anyone, but now I would recommend people stay well away.

    Worst one i had since i was born. Less than 1GB upload and download, sometimes can't even watch videos on youtube which shows how hilarious this (thing) is. I rang customer service many times, 2-3 engineer was in my house, removed all the issues and it was fine for 2-3 weeks and same thing again and when i ring them and tell them that i want engineer they just talk rubbish that isn't even helping. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    If I could give 0 stars for for some categories I would - 1 is definitely on the generous side.

    My advice would be to avoid at all cost. There are always better options than this company.

    ***Overcharging for Unused Services***
    I called TalkTalk on 22 Jan to inform I do not wish to renew my contract when it ends on 24 Feb. Spoke to the Retention Team giving more than 30 days notice. I assume they will do what is necessary on their end. I returned the router and TV box on 24 Feb via post and kept the receipt as a proof. However the Team did not process the cancellation. In the first week of March, I found out that TalkTalk continues to bill me for broadband services until 3-Apr. The Retention team checked its phone record s and discovered the non- processing though notice was indeed given on 22-Feb. It proceeds to end my service on 13-Mar. I am no longer using its service since all hardware has been returned. It insists I should pay the outstanding charges. I AM NOT LIABLE FOR YOUR RETENTION TEAM’S NOT CANCELLING MY ACCOUNT AFTER GIVING 32 DAYS” NOTICE.

    Honestly save you’re money and go elsewhere. I’ve had nothing but trouble since being with them and now I have to pay £130 for leaving talktalk when we had no internet connection the whole time!!

    I endured 18 months of dodgy connection, poor speeds and horrendous customer service. At the end of the contract agreed to switch to PlusNet. TalkTalk phoned a week later, said they'd offer me an unbeatable deal and did, and also said they'd contact PlusNet to cancel my application for me (The rep's name was Adam), and all seemed well. I plugged in the new router I received and had very fast internet for one day, the day following i was cut off. Apparently no one had contacted PlusNet to cancel the application, so i spent 4 hours on the phone to 5 different reps, until the last one who actually helped and said that i needed to call PlusNet to cancel the application. I proceeded to do that, although that took over an hour too. Phoned Talktalk back afterwards and confirmed the "cease" had been enacted. They then proceeded to tell me that they couldn't connect to the line so i'd have to run a new application and they weren't sure when i'd get internet back up and running at home. Now, in the grand scheme of things at the moment, this is very minor. But it still warrants a 1 star review as they should be providing a service and not false promises.

    Got a phone call this morning from a talktalk salesman who set me up with a broadband package but after reading the reviews decided to cancel(should have read them first) I was on the phone for an hour and 15 mins and did not get through. I had to use a mobile and the call cost over £40. When I did get through they said they were closed so I have sent them an email. How can you cancel an order if they dont reply? Not sure if they will email me back so beware of this company.

    Very poor broadband. Incredibly awful customer service. They lie on their FAQ regarding switching provider, lie on the phone about same. Unhelpful. Difficult to cancel. Not great broadband, often going down at random ties.

    Decided to switch to a TalkTalk broadband package to save money. No one came to install it. Was left without internet for a week, so I cancelled and returned to my old provider (Virgin) who got me back up and running in 48 hours.

    I was assured on 3 different occasions by TalkTalk that my broadband was cancelled. Yet they keep trying to book more engineer visits, emailing me to tell me that "something is wrong", and sending me bills for a non existent service.

    Their customer service is abysmal. Don't be tempted by the cheap prices and stay away!

    Worst broadband and worst customer service. Broadband connection and internet was patchy throughout my time. Due to their worst customer service I had to continue with patchy internet and worst connection. None of their agents know what is the process and you will be transferred to various department who have nothing do with your issue. I was out through to fully fibre team for cancellation and after 1hr in the call had to disconnect and call back to know that their fully fibre team have left home 15mins before. The best part is I called them the next day to be answered by a rude agent from fully fibre team who did not want to listen to a word on what I was saying and transferred me back to the cancellation team again after 15mins wait I disconnected and called them back to let them know I did not want to renew my contract. How silly was I to think cancelling your contract after it ends will be a straight forward request. Never will I ever recommend or join Talk Talk in near future. Don’t be fooled by their offers and deals you will regret it later.

    This company is absolutely the worst. Do not under any circumstances use them. The customer service is non-existent. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with them before they would agree to send an engineer to the my mother’s house and this is when my mum is on a priority list due to numerous medical conditions. The engineer did not entirely fix the problem and said we needed another engineer to come out and he would arrange another appointment. After 3.5 weeks without hearing from them I am on the phone again trying to get another engineer - 50 minutes and counting. They do not have supervisors you can talk to and the call centre staff in India don’t have the authority to do anything to help. Stay well away from Talk Talk

    Leave well alone as the customer service in South Africa (yes you do get transfered to South Africa) is useless.
    Spent hours on the phone to customer service to try and get an answer as to why an engineer failed to attend my address at the stated time to install a master socket and set up the broadband.Eventually after being made to feel like I was banging my head against a brick wall and stating that this needed to be completed with a matter of urgency another installation date was given 3 days after the initial install date. The service is very unprofessional and certainly leaves a lot to be desired.

    Internet went off. Tried unplugging and resetting. Rang Talk Talk help line. They fixed it within seconds of my phone call. Very impressed.

    No UK office to try and explain the issues we have. Still waiting for a line installation after 3 months. Keep sending out the wrong workmen. 6 days off work. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!

    I had one line and broadband they are charging double account for one ex tenants name , others on my name. I phoned them I cruised for help because it is not fair , and they disconnected the service and also very high additional charge on the bill. The customer service is not helpful and please can you get more staff who can speak fluently English

    It's now March of 2022 ,and this is to anyone who is remotely considering choosing talk talk as a Internet service provider ,I've been with them for 18 months and the Internet connection has been lost and can take over an hour till reconnects at least twice a day customer service is as much use as a chocolate tea pot

    Well after looking on here there appears to be an awful lot of people having problems in 2022 alone! We switched providers after a shockingly low fibre speed (sometimes was only capable of running one device)and we got the same out "brush off"as others have. We then changed providers and now we're being chased by a debt collection agency. Numerous emails going back and forth and getting nowhere! STAY AWAY!

    Greedy scammers.

    As my contract was ending, I called them so that it wouldn't renew. They said it would be cancelled, yet it wasn't. I was moved to a different, more expensive contract anyway. When I called to cancel again, they said they knew I'd called to cancel a month ago, but they had no idea why it wasn't cancelled. So now I have to pay a cancellation fee and pay for the broadband for another month or two.

    Now days Talktalk is the worst internet service ever.+(Scam) After 6 years with them.( 1 ) Mistake"Set up totally wrong address with new update, even im staing in 1 and the same address for 6 years,and they know it. (2) Mistake".Gave me an option,nothing else but cancel it, (and then canceled an update,and a contract the same time).(3).Left me with no internet for 2 weeks while they been looking whats happening.Why i keep paying money for next 3 month forward when the contract actually been finished(4) After head manager investigation,to find out whats happening,"Thank you God" all thats been sorted,finished with talktalk end off.(5) After 2 month received another message from talktalk "Outstanding balance" 40£ last day to pay .Received it the same day(6) Phoned them up to find out.The operator on the pone "Told me totally different story " compare to that what head manager told me. Her words was that i actually still had a contract with them,and its been finished the same day,when last time talked to a head manager.And i have no choice but to pay for their router 40£.(7) The bank cancelled a transaction when i tryed to pay for it.When i looked at my talktalk accont find out whats happening,there actually was 2 payments.1 those 40£ for their router. 2 DIRECT DEBIT 19£ pluss!!!

    We started yesterday with Fibre 65 Broadband. There was a Download Speed of 9. TalkTalk Chat attribute this to a stabilisation period. Today, Ookla recorded a Download Speed of 8. (TalkTalk claimed 16.) THE ADVERTISED SPEED IS 32 - 50!
    We're watching closely.

    Without a doubt the worst Internet provider I have ever had, internet cuts out atleast once a day, latest issue has left us without broadband for 9 days now they sent openreach out 4 times only to find out its their router causing the issue and imagine my shock when the new one arrives today and…..you guessed it it doesnt work! Their complaints department are supposed to call me today so they shall be instructed to come get their equipment and cancel my services! I am done!
    Only reason they got 1 star is because it wouldnt let me put nothing,100% avoid this provider

    They promise you fast fibre speeds of 30+ mpbs....ha ha...be happy if you touch 10 mpbs download and 5 mpbs upload speed. The internet is erratic. Cuts off ever so often. Pathetic service.

    Tried to set up a phone and broadband account. Completed online. They decided to set up a completely new phone line. They unable to provide the service they agreed to , then failed to notify us of this.
    This was for my elderly dad who needs a phone line for his care line and the previous suppliers contract had ended.
    Cancelled before we could be treated as a mug any more by them

    Worst service ever have deal with. Charge me for an extra 3 months after cancellation. Telling me that the line was dropped during a cancellation. Always pay my bill on time from first day till the end, please be aware of this company. Very disappointed.

    High speed broadband when it works but connection is often intermittent. I work from home and its totally untenable for me. Customer service was terrible. Sucked up lots of hours in failing to fix it.

    Terrible service from start to finish. Engineer has cancelled on me twice with no contact. Only me having to contact them. Customer service is awful. I would not waste your time with this company I have cancelled my whole order and decided to go elsewhere

    I have a print-out from Jeanette at Talk Talk's CHAT, stating my broadband would start on 1st March. This has now been changed to 3rd March, suggesting I'll be left without broadband.
    On 14th February I was promised that a Welcome Pack would come by mail. This hasn't arrived.
    72 minutes on the Talk Talk CHAT yesterday failed to resolve these issues. So far, pathetic.
    I'll contine with updates.

    !! AVOID AT ALL COSTS !! I have had the worst experience of customer care in my life from these people , the broadband never worked the TVC box quality was from the 80s , when I tried to call to resolve these issues , I was met by long long phone calls ,some that ended with “we see no problem it must be your device”, because yeah all 15 devices connected to the internet went down at the same time, they are thick , don’t know what they are doing and even when I went to leave it took 2 hours on the phone and they tried to charge me £160 for the pleasure of running as far away from them as I could!! Again AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!
