I logged in to my Talk talk account. There is an option to postpone the payment.by 1 day. Accepted and received a confirmation email. The next day I got an email saying that I had been charged £12 for late payment. After 5 minutes I called customer service. The lady who answered had to talk to her supervisor and confirmed that they would not add any fees to the bill. My next bill was increased by £12!!! The customer does what he wants anyway. I will never use their services again and would not recommend them to anyone

‘Horizon Lite’ Talk Talk didn’t renew when my contract ended, but didn’t tell me; kept taking payments.. and repeatedly told me the lack of broadband was down to an unresolved technical fault. 5 months later they finally admit they had disabled the service. I am now fighting for a refund, but am getting nothing but delaying, stalling and avoidance. AVOID!

OAP disabled. No service. £200 bill.....
So, weeks and weeks to get broadband and phone set up. At no point did my 80 mother of my 80 year old disabled father ever have a phone supply that worked with talk talk. They final agree to cancel the contract after days, yes days on the phone on hold and talking to stupid people.
Send all their rubbish back to them. Get a £0 bill, and rightly so.
Think it's fine and done. No. This is talk talk.
They then send a bill for over £200 to this OAP couple for a service that was never provided!!
Outrageous behaviour.
After hours on the phone again trying to get a manager again, we get cut off.
Take is to court talk talk. You are not getting any money from us and we have the right to now claim from you.
You are a disgrace.

No way you can talk to someone if you are already customer. But if you choose want to join option you will be straight connected !!!!
You need to be on the phone for minimum of three , only listening to on hold music hours to get to the right person .
I am not going to recommend to anyone
Simply I will never ever go back to join talk talk .

I was emailed with a quote for a new contract today 12/2/24.
I was not happy with the price so rang Talktalk and was quoted a new price which was almost £10 cheaper. I was very happy with the young man who I spoke with

Garbage ISP. Was told we needed a mandatory "upgrade". Engineer arrived and setup our line and router on the ground floor when it used to be on the 1st floor. Now, internet connection is unstable, at times router is unreachable.
Contacted customer services and they tried to sell me their booster. Purchased my own and setup, connection to router is now ok however internet is still unavailable alot of the time...
Internet connection is very unreliable, device to router connection is all ok but still unable to buffer videos, webpages takes more than 5 seconds to load. Upload speeds are faster than download speeds...
Cant play multiplayer games as connection drops out mid way and constant spikes in ping.
Will 100% not be going with talktalk again.

When we renewed, they renaged on our contract and started charging more, stating they'de 'agreed to a contract that didn't exist' and then signed us up for another way more expensive, which we renogotiated (took about 3 hours). After a few months of blips it settled down until our phone line went dead and for a few weeks we had no landline. I then had to spend over 2 hours trawling through all their questions to book an engineer and then the fault mysteriously dissapeared 2 days before the engineer came so I had to spend another HOUR, just to cancel the engineer. Now our phone line is down again! I tried to cancel the contract and after being on for over an HOUR, finally gave up on the chat, telling them I was fed up waiting for them to set the cancellation in process and closed the chat. They've sent me a shirty message saying that if I cancel my mandate it does not constitute a cancellation and they will continue to bill me and arrears will show on my credit record. My Dad is in hospital, possibly dying and they're keeping me on a frikkin chat for a hour and STILL NOT CANCELLING my contract with them. My Mother can't get me on my landline and she hasn't a mobile so if she needs to call me its costing her a fortune. This company are despicable. I'm going to BURY them in complaint letters, the most inept and unethical company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with

Unfortunately there's no option for zero Star, the Internet speed is terrible and has been so for several months, tons of calls to customer service, mostly overseas agents with a very weird attitude!! And no real solution, a temporary fix for a couple of days then it's allover again. Will definitely move to another provider once my contract is over and have been in full consciousness advising everyone I know to stear away from this provider.
UPDATE1:
In reply to their response below, I spoke to customer service, we have tried all the stupid tips they suggested as I did before, nothing worked, then they sent a technician, as they did before, and lucky me, I had a stable net for a couple of hours, now I am back on my mobile hotspot again, thank God I have a decent internet provider on my mobile phone. They just buy time so they keep collecting bills to the end of my contract, which is luckily coming soon!
UPDATE2:
Fourth time an engineer coming to my house to fix the Internet in few weeks, this is a joke not an internet provider, the worst experience I have ever had!!
Following 4th complain due to absent internet (not a slow net, absolutely no net)!! I have been on the phone for 57 min before I gave up and hang up...from one agent to the next, all essentially useless, esp the one who suggested that it's a good opportunity to extend my contract cause they have a good offer! Can you imagine how stupid is that suggestion when you call to make another complain, FOR THE FORTH TIME IN FEW WKS!!!
Last update:
After being so fed up of their endless bull####, I wanted to cancel my contract!! They said I must pay a contract breakage fees!! They admittedly say we are sorry for offering you sh## service, sent 4 engineers with no benefit whatsoever, but if I want to break a useless contract I must pay breakage fees, if this is not simply stealing money out of your pocket then what is this called?

DO NOT USE Talk Talk. After a decade of being with them an engineer removed my mums landline, she had Alzheimer’s so phone essential. Over 30 calls, DMS on Twitter, text talk and inept complaints team failed to stop them over charging 70 a month for a 27 contract. Failed to connect with eero and no help. Call centre is noisy and staff can barely understand and every department says they can not do anything about it. Talk Talk will not survive the appalling decline. Do not use. They take money off vulnerable old women and offer no Service or help despite claiming they will refund and send vouchers. If I’m are aware.

If only there’s 0 , that i would give, they dont even deserve a 1!!!!! Stay away from this company . Theyre like scammers!
We moved to new address recently and called TT ahead of time, the agent said no same service available in the new postcode. I wanted to cancel as we like the amount we were paying for the service we had. She offered for me to stay with them and give me fiber 65 instead for same price we are paying before and 1st 3months free ! But she cudnt make those changes as the new account has not yet been activated. She said tol call TT once new service is up n running in the new address.
So enginer came yesterday and install the service, no issues, then i called today as wat the previous agent told me to do so, to inform them about the adjustment etc.. ive had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! its started okay then later the 1st agent kept putting me on HOLD, after an hour on the line , a different agent got back to me without any idea why im with him!!!!!!! So i ended up explaining again n again , went thru security questions again, then he put me on hold again for almost AN HOUR! Just to tell me about an issue that im not complaining about!!.. so he ended up transferring me to the loyalty dept , which call lasted for almost another hour!!! And had no idea whatsover about whats going on! So again explain EVERYTHING FROM THE START!!!! She seemed not very engaging and enthusiastic to talk to. Anyway, she said that SHES NOT ABLE TO GIVE WHAT THE PREVIOUS AGENT OFFERED ME! So why the hell they put me on this new service then if theyre notbeing true to their words!!!!! The only reason i agreed to continue with them was because of wat the previous agent offered!!!..
You CANT GET A HOLD of a proper customer service with TT, someone who will try to assist you and solve your queries, i ended up shaking out of anger because of my HORRIBLE experience!!!!!
Never again!!!!

Rubish customer service, all lies, fake promises, been trying to solve my issue for two weeks , didn’t get sorted, everyday had to spent 2 hours on chat to be able to discuss and explain the situation but they transfer to a different department and never get sorted, i asked manager to call back they gave me 24 hours to call, but now its 5 days never get any call, i called again and asked for the manager, i have been told manager will definitely call but after another day i never received any call, sent email to make a complain, they said someone will contact me but after a week still waiting for the reply, never ever going to be a talk talk customer again, never recommend

Absolutely rubbish service. Going round in circles constantly. I live in a small bungalow and have constantly been online to the chat trying to resolve the slow/No internet. They tried to make me pay £85 for an extender. I've had engineers out and their resolutions made zero difference. I have now requested a call back to close the account. I even upgraded my mobile phone to try and resolve the issue but this has made no difference at all. There are 2 mobile phones only in the house that use the wifi. No gaming consoles or smart tv. Rubbish rubbish rubbish. Would not recommend

For anyone who is thinking of taking up the offer of Fibre To The Premises - let me share my experience of incompetence and unacceptable customer support from Talktalk.
In November 2023 I signed up to Talktalk full fibre 150 with VoIP - The initial, agreed, FTTP installation had to be rescheduled due to TT failing to dispatch the necessary new router in time. On the new day of installation, it was discovered that TT had not included the Digital Voice Adaptor, which is needed to provide access to VoIP for my house telephone. TT assured me that one would be expedited - it took 5 days to arrive, during which, we had no home telephone connection.
After two days of good Internet, and telephone operation, our telephone connection
developed a fault - we could neither make nor receive calls.
Throught December 23, I spent numerous (unsuccess) frustrating hours on online text chat, and telephone conversations, with different TT support staff members, with promises to log the ongoing fault for further investigation. I was promised follow up calls, from Managers, and a new router - none of which ever materialised.
The TT staff I interfaced with were polite and friendly - but, incompetent. Because when I finally connected to someone who knew what they were doing, the problem was fixed within minutes.
Bottom line is - we were without a telephone for much of December 23.
I have been a Talk talk customer for several years - but, this experience has left me totally disenchanted with them.

I've been with TalkTalk far too long. A submitted a Trustpilot Review last year speaking of their abject failures at Customer Service and their promises that they simply don't keep. Try to resign and they give you a 'Credit' and a new contract that merely locks you into them again. I copied and paste my complaints from last year and TalkTalk copied and pasted their same derisory reply.
Stinking, odious Company.

"Please avoid the same mistake I made with Talktalk. They can ruin your experience. After the contract ends, when you leave Talktalk, they might generate a small invoice under the admin heading. If you attempt to pay online, they might block the payment completion. Eventually, they'll involve a recovery company and report to the credit record agency (equifax.co.uk).
I completely terminated my association with Talktalk on May 7th. I ensured that everything was in order and specifically inquired if any further actions were required. They assured me that everything was settled, and I was disconnected. However, just two days later, they generated a minor invoice for an admin fee of £8.72. I tried to pay it promptly due to its small amount but was unable to proceed as they had already partially blocked my Talktalk account.
Subsequently, they engaged a recovery company, and I received a letter. I immediately settled the payment of £25. Despite this, Talktalk reported this incident to the credit records, severely impacting my mortgage application process. I've made numerous calls to Talktalk, but their unhelpful and unfriendly demeanor persists.
While I subscribed to Talktalk for broadband services, I never received the promised broadband speed that I paid for.
In my opinion, Talktalk's business practices lack ethical standards. I strongly urge the financial ombudsman to investigate Talktalk's services to prevent others from becoming victims like myself."

Avoid this company at all costs. I have specifically made an account just to write this review in the hopes people will avoid this company. Our account is in my partner’s name but I have been dealing with the ongoing issues we have been having with TalkTalk.
To start this review off, I had booked Monday 27th November off work to be around for a CityFibre engineer that was booked in to change our line to fibre in the AM slot of the day (8:00-13:00) which we had been informed about by a TalkTalk letter and several emails and texts. On Monday at 14:00, after waiting around all morning for a no show engineer, I decided contact TalkTalk about this and to see where the engineer was via chat. As I go to do this, and out of interest, I check our broadband speeds through the TalkTalk account as our internet as been slow. I then find out that our speeds are at 8Mbps rather than the guaranteed speeds we are paying for of 29Mbps. So I now had two issues to resolve with them over chat. After nearly 2 hours of back and fourth I get confirmation of:
1. There is a fault with our external line outside of our home which is causing this issues with our broadband speeds but not to worry, they will get an Openreach engineer out to fix this first thing the next day AM slot again (Tuesday 28th November 8:00-13:00)
2. They are really sorry but the engineer just won’t be turning up today due to more work being required before they can install. When I queried when and how this had been communicated to us so that I didn’t have to book a day off, all I got was that they were sorry this wasn’t communicated to us and that CityFibre will be in touch by end of day 4th December to rearrange the appointment
So now we get to Tuesday 28th November where my partner has stayed home for the Openreach engineer that will be showing up to fix our faulty external line. Unfortunately, yet again, no engineer turns up. Back onto the chat I go to query this again. After another painful hour of back and fourth I then get informed that the booking was not successful. So again, I query who communicated this to us so that we didn’t have to wait around at home for yet another no show engineer. Yet again, all I got was empty apologies for the lack of communication. They then very kindly rebooked this engineer visit for today, Thursday 30th November AM slot 8:00-13:00. I go online this morning to confirm it is all booked in okay as since this was booked and confirmed as booked in the chat, we haven’t had any confirmation of the visit. Again, after a relatively quick 30 min chat, I am assured the engineer is booked. I decided to contact Openreach directly just to see if they have an appointment booked for today at my address, to my surprise, no appointment had been booked. And so, for the fourth time this week, I go back onto the chat with TalkTalk (with each chat transcript being emailed to my partner so we have an official log of all of this) only to have them give me empty apologies for lying to me after yet another hour of slow back and fourth.
I have now tried to raise an official complaint and to be truthful, I don’t think it has actually been logged. I am also now currently waiting on a call back from a manager within 24 to 48 hours time… This is if they even bother to ring me! But trust me, if they ring or if they don’t, this review will be updated either way.
So, we are currently running on a broadband that is not running on the speeds we are paying for, and we are waiting for some elusive engineers to turn up and fix the line TalkTalk have admitted themselves is faulty and install our new fibre line.
All in all disgusting service but at least they are consistent in lying and wasting my time. I have informed them that in the meantime, while I wait for a call back from this manager, I will be scouring through Ofcom and our contract with them to see what our options are with paying for a service and a “guaranteed speed” that TalkTalk are currently aware they are not fulfilling and have made no attempt to fix.
This is our first time with TalkTalk and without a doubt, it will be our last.. Don’t make the same mistake we did by choosing this company.

Three weeks ago the wire on the outside become frayed hence I have no broadband I've been on the phone nearly every day for a solid two weeks firstly the customer service department are rude and arrogant they don't listen to round in circles and are always seem to be happy in trying to get me to leave TalkTalk anyway I've wasted over four days waiting in for a no show engineer then I get told I'll get a phone call of engineer and I don't then they say engineer has phoned and been whilst I'm waiting at my residence to which my doorcam says otherwise plus my phone records have no record so they also consistently lie and they always apologize and say it's there mistake. I'm still waiting it's three weeks and I still have No broadband ironically they take the bill out of my account for services I have not got. On top of all this the staff consistently got my name wrong even when put right and one lady says her mother has same illness I have that's why she apparently understands and went onto say her mother didn't need broadband which is completely irrelevant very very rude. It's a shame because up until this I was very happy with TalkTalk now I'm not and I may take legal action now especially as I record all calls!!

Terrible service. I’ve been with talk talk for over 5 years the house move was a disaster. I did the house move online because it’s so difficult to find a number to do it over the phone. Someone took a day off work to wait in for an engineer only to discover after he didn’t turn up that the move had not even been registered at your end. This resulted in another two week wait for another engineer to come out and another day off work. (Also a month with no internet that we have payed for). I waited in all day for two different engineers to no avail. Far too much time wasted on admin, phone calls (international call centres with very basic English exacerbating frustration) and time off work for me. Would rather pay someone else more money for a better service. Overall a very poor performance.

Well I am a TalkTalk veteran/idiot!
As my wife constantly reminds me this is the 2nd time in 5 years that I have had to ditch TT and go back to BT.
Starting with the positives, the set up goes ok and (as I only live 100 metres from the BT exchange) I get high speeds.....when its working. However we are plagued with seemingly random drop-outs
For example I got up at 6am this Sunday (ie the quietest possible time) to watch the Grand Prix this morning and suffered 4 drop outs in the space of 90 minutes which ruined the race.
TT is fine for my elderly mother, but If you run your own business, do a lot of imporant zoom calls at home, or play deathmatch COD then I really cant recommend this service - never mind the fact that their "Customer Service" rely on the very generous (and presumably free) help of other users on a web forum.
Back with BT, at least you cant get fobbed off with "their may be a problem with the line".....as its their blooming copper lines!

I had very bad experience with tak talk broadband started contract and service on 3rd November 2023 and to cancel on 16 November 2023 just after 13 days of my service start. As they said with in 14 days if you are not happy you can cancel for no any charges. I called them on 13 day of start contract asking for cancellation they for more then 1:30 hour make round & round offers. But didn’t accept because I didn’t trust them. Then they started asking me £170 something pence early termination fee for no reason when I didn’t accept they said our complaints team will call me with 48 ours. In which i will exceed my 14 days and they would ask me early termination fee. To continue with their poor service of internet i seen ever.

the worst broadband company ever. if i could give 0 stars i would. Moved house and for the first 3/4 months i had no wifi because the engineer didnt connect the wires properly. Finally sorted the issue after several phone calls and months of waiting. To then be given a dodgy wifi box which disconnects / cuts off anytime i move the box or touch it. I have phoned talktalk for months and done several tests over and over again and the problem still hasnt been solved. Asked could i cancel my plan and they said yes but i will have to pay a cancellation fee of £70 when they've had enough money off me. absolute joke. DO NOT JOIN!!!

As a customer for many years, I can’t really express how poor the broadband reliability is and has been. It’s simply atrocious. I actually don’t think the problem is with Talk Talk. I believe it’s the phone line to the house. After changing routers three times and running through fault finding procedures at least four times, Talk Talk always tell me there is no problem. The speed regularly drops to sub 2Mb and drops out completely once an hour at the moment. It can recover temporarily but the problem always comes back. I remember the Outreach engineer, who was up a nearby telephone pole making repairs, telling me he was surprised we ever got any broadband service at all (due to the condition of the lines). So what should we do ? Talk Talk take no responsibility. Outreach says contact Talk Talk. What a great system we have created in the UK. Would changing service providers fix anything ? Now fibre is in the area. Time to upgrade. But not with Talk Talk.

Stay Away!
I've been with talktalk for around 2 years! What a nightmare it has been, their online site barely works, customer service is disgusting and I've had to contact them many, many times! Their internet isn't the best, super fast at first then 6 months down the line it's lagging and buffering for everyone yet Ive always had fibre, prices are far from worth it, my box has recently broke (no fault of ours just would no longer connect) what a nightmare it has been, had to contact multiple times asking for help, updates etc all I ever got was turn it off, reset it, etc, I thought I was waiting for an engineer after contacting them 3 days later they said its not broken they've restricted services due to non payment, I refused to pay until my internet was fixed as I knew it was broken after a 2 hour phone call they told me yes it was broken and they'll send a new box out, new box came today which is 6 days later as soon as it turned on and showed a white connection light I made payment, they're now refusing to unrestrict my internet and now all of a sudden they're billing and recent transactions is unavailable but everything else on the site works fine! I've sent them screen shots of the payment etc, spoke to 4 different people at different times, they're not bothered half of the time they don't even read the message I've sent them properly, I've been without WiFi around 12 days now it's ridiculous, this isn't the first time I've had problems but this is the last time I will have honestly, do not waste your time and money constant nightmare

Poor internet in location. Queried whether standard package
(about 26mbps) could be improved. I made it clear that internet not great in area. Was assured by an advisor I could get much more speed if upgraded to Fibre 65. I am still getting 26mbps. They take you around in circles when complaining. Needless to say I have cancelled after a couple of days and switching providers. Talk Talk are all talk and no action. They are rubbish.

Thought I should leave a review as all the ones I'm reading are negative. Coming up to the end of an 18 month contract with TalkTalk and it has worked superbly throughout. Speeds are as advertised for my area, and dropouts I can probably count on one hand.

We were looking for a new internet provider and a representative from Talk Talk came to our door to ask about the new service that was being offered in our area.
After a conversation we decided to go ahead with the service,we were promised that we would have 3 months free service which would allow us to disconnect from Virgin media and we were happy to proceed.
Now after approximately 2 months our service has been cancelled due to a unpaid bill of 54.00 roughly.
I’ve spent just over an hour on the phone with them and they said they have no notes on our account to confirm this.
We have a contract and the first person i spoke to said that we did have this as a new customer.
We now have no internet connection and have used most of our mobile phone data and have still no service.
Poor Poor Poor service and i don’t want to say but i feel like we have been lied to.
