    Just relocated from Essex where we also had Virgin, which ran fine- broadband being connected by ethernet on that occasion. Was a bit reluctant to go down the wireless route as had heard some real horror stories. but had to by necessity. My main problem was having a 2008 Mac Pro tower with no Airport card installed which I wanted in the attic (every man should have an attic). Didn't want to cable all the way from there to the lounge so (after much research and forum help) got a set of home plugs. To cut a long story short, Virgin man turned up at 1.25 and had finished setting up Tivo, broadband and phone by 2.20 (and was also a jolly nice chap). Homeplugs work brilliantly - getting a steady 50meg speed from my 60meg package. Did a download test - 2.17 gig file downloaded in less than 10 minutes. In summary…very happy customer!

    Overall a great experience, I got burned by them a few years back and sweared never again but i'm now back as I want higher speeds and that's what I got, i've even had 100.02Mbpps on a few of the tests!

    Some people here keep writting that they can't download a file at 10meg or 20meg and that it's nowhere near.. You don't understand how it works! it's not megabytes per second, it's megabits per second.. Take for example a 10meg connection.. The most you will be able to download at is around 1.2Mbps. Don't confuse your megabytes with your megabits people!

    Unbelievably fast broadband on desktop and laptop (getting over 40mb on both. Kids love the Xbox360 and always host as they always have fastest connection. Good customer service as well.

    Left BT 2 years ago as they still insist on extra £17 pm for a phone line PLUS £27 for broadband but Virgin charge £24,50 for 30meg broadband only, and I use VOIP for phone calls, speed usually around 33,5 megs, av phone bill £3-4 pm. Everything done when promised, everything reconnected within 24 hours of moving home, one streetbox problem in 2 years fixed within 24 hours, about to get free upgrade to 50megs, VERY happy with Virgin, could never go back to high price and extremely poor service I got from BT.

    I fail to understand the amount of negative feedback Virgin has online. I’ve recently had Virgin installed and from day one I’ve had nothing but amazing customer service from the Virgin team - they’ve always been in contact letting me know of any changes or dates/times of when things are happening and I’ve had any questions answered. The service is brilliant and has been set up much better than Sky, the engineer fitted everything so neatly and was very professional. Extremely pleased with the swap from Sky as I had nothing but terrible issues with them.

    Very impressed. Easy to order on line, look around for discount codes dont always accept the first price that comes up.
    Good communication. Engineer arrived as arranged and explained and set up everything including my laptop and internet tv.
    All speeds as advertised.
    Previously very disappointed with bt. I found my home powerline didnt get good speeds but that was down to older equipment not supporting the speed. Pleased that I moved.

    We've been with Virgin for years. We have only suffered a few occasional service drops and they have been rectified pretty swiftly too.

    We only had tv and internet with the until we. got a phone call on Monday offering us the latest router if we took out a phone line, too. It actually worked out £20 less each month, so we went ahead with it. They arrived today, hooked everything up, and tidied up when finished too.

    I couldn't be happier with the service if I'm honest.

    Had fantastic customer service from Michelle at mover team for my broadband service
    I am in the process of moving and needed to book engineers for new address. We had a few hiccups up and our current address broadband was turned off.
    Michelle got broadband started again here re-submited request for new address explain my temporary payments and how to follow up once moved.
    She was patient, informative and called me back as promised with the information.
    At no pointt did my questions feel insignificant and her friendly professional conduct was a breath of fresh air at 8 am after fruition of no wifi

    Was on the phone today dealing with an enquiry that needed fixing and had Cameron from Swansea on the other end of the phone.
    Went out of his way to deal with our request and was thoughtful and understanding. Couldn't fault the service and being told would have a 48 hour call back and then to be called the same day, felt I was listened to and dealt with the situation efficiently and accurately. Saved me paying £300 and would like to say a massive huge thank you.

    I was with Plusnet for many years, all was fine until last 2 years, connection began to drop and wifi connected devices kept being disconnected without warning and costantlty. After countless calls to Plusnet I had to leave them as soon as my contract finished and decided not to use them ever again.
    I thought I just gamble with Virgin Media Fibre and not use any of the BT cable supplier and what a decision!, I am on 50mb option (fibre only) and always get at least 53mb speed on wifi. Everything works as a dream so far (2months later) and the customer service is brilliant so far, I only had to contact them once after there was an error on the bill and It was fixed straight away.
    I am very happy with VM so far, installation went smooth and I was connected in no time.

    I've been with VM since the end of June this year ( 2015 ) and I am very pleased overall. The installation was quick and simple and the technicians showed me how it all works. I only had one problem so far and when I called the customer service they were nothing but helpful and sent a technician out within a few days.

    Since then I've had great speeds both with downloading and gaming and no random drops which I frequently got with my previous provider.

    I have been with Virgin Media now for Broadband since approximately June 09, and so far my experiences have been to the highest quality. The service was fitted and within 1 hour the Broadband connection was running at top speed, hitting a speed test of 9.76Mbps constant for the following hours. The only problem I have ever had with the service was for approximately 10 minutes when I had a speed decrease to 3.24Mbps, this was due to a hardware malfunction and nothing to do with the connection.

    Extremely satisfied with the speed, customer service and reliability of Virgin Media, especially since the free 'VIVID' upgrade to 'Up to 150 Mbps' recently. The new SuperHub router is extremely reliable and has excellent signal strength so I get the full speed of the connection (usually in excess of the 150 Mbps headline speed) even in my office, several rooms away from the router.

    Customer service via the social media team and the online chat are always quick and helpful, I haven't needed to resort to phone-based support since this was added.

    I'm also very happy with my M+ TV package, especially as new channels like FOX and Sky Arts keep being added. The TiVo box is fantastic. I wish that more of the high numbered channels like Universal and Syfy would have subtitles on their TV shows, but I understand that this is the channel's fault and that the same is true on Sky.

    I've only dropped one star from my Satisfaction score because of the regular slight increases in price, but as the product has consistently improved over the years, it's hard to argue that I'm not getting value for money. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend Virgin Media.

    The best. £39.95 for 100mbs broadband and medium tv package cam not beat it.

    Why people moan about not getting full speed?? Its called traffic management all providers implement this at busy times but even so i still get a solid 80mbs through the day 8-9+ devices connected to it aswell.

    So yet for the price its amazing.

    Love virgin media , have not had a problem with my broadband for almost a year now and the speed is great. Unlike BT if there is any fault with broadband and an enginner comes out its free of charge.

    After being completely screwed over by BT, it’s nice to have Virgin Media back in our lives. Our activation date for BT was over a week after signing up. Then there were “issues” and they delayed it by another two weeks! Called Virgin and they sussed us a router and got us fibre broadband in TWO DAYS. Currently have an avg download speed of 150+ mbps! The only issue we’ve had previously was at our previous property and the WiFi kept going down - turns out too many devices. Upgraded to router and no further issues! We love Virgin Media!

    I have been with virgin for about 8 years now with Broadband, TV and phone package. Although its a little pricey, I've never had any complaints with broadband speed or reliability. I had one issue about 2 years ago when my service completely stopped working, but this was fixed 2 days later by an engineer, free of charge. The only issue that I have ever had, is sometimes the customer service agents are a little difficult to understand due to speaking in broken English, but apart from that it has all been good (and long may it last)

    I am quite surprised that VM don't have a higher rating. Every time we have had an issue VM have been brilliant. You see the quality of a company based on their ability to resolve problems. I had a problem and was about to leave VM - was really pleased the problem was resolved very well hence this review. Look at the speed offered by VM not one can match this - I know quality of service is more important and I must say on VM are good - could do better but in comparison I think are better then others my opinion

    VM look to resolve a problem not get you to agree to make a payment for an engineer to visit. A company as large as VM will have things go wrong - from me experience they make every effort to resolve the problem. If they fail they don't hide behind the contract. Overall I would give them 5*

    I have been with the local cable company (orignally United Artists Cable) since they dug up my street in 1995 to lay the fiber optic cable. I currenyly pay an average of about £45 a month for telephone, 70mb/s broadband and TV.

    Whenever I check the download speed (usually a couple of times a week), I get a reading f between 58 and 62 mb/s. So as far as I am cncerned, I am getting what it says on the tin!

    Reliability is first class - just the occasional outage for a short time abut nce a year.

    The only fault with the service is their 'customer service' lcated in a call centre somewhere in Asia - hard to understand what I am am being told, and often the 'agent fails to grasp exactly what I am saying!

    I'm on Virgin Media's up to 200Mbps broadband. I've only had it for a month, so early days, but so far so good. Using Ookla's Speedtest app on my mobile I consistently get 210Mbps download, 12.3Mbps upload and 15ms ping. It's not cheap but there's nothing else at this price anywhere near those speeds. I work in software / networking and this allows me to work from home as efficiently as if I were in the office. Reliability has been 100% so far as well.

    The only negative is having to wait in all day for the home install package - why can't they give a sensible delivery window?

    I have to admit they are not the chepest but have an excellent customer service (they answer within 1-3 minutes, I asked for older bills- they emailed it to me, they give resonable offeres, etc)No internet from any provider is at the maximum speed promise. I have 100MB and I constantly receive around 60-80 , once I had 110MB, but also when is high traffic droped to 40, etc (traffic measured through wifi/ not ethernal cable). Anyway I could still do my things. very occasionally (1-4 times a year) the internet fell compleatly and they fixed it in with 1-2 hours and once overnight (was frustraiting but nobody's perfect) I have been with them since 2011. Initially in Derby then in Reigate. Reading reviews and dealing with other providers( talk talk for instance/over the phone)OMG I prefer virgin media anytime. As over all satisfaction; they are the best you can get.

    I had 12 month contract and the service has been good. I have been with a few different providers and the service I have received with Virgin have been very good. The speed is generally consistent when I have checked. Game downloads are at expected speeds (via Ethernet). Netflix/Amazon Prime have been fine including 4k content. However, there have been a few outages (more than BT that I used before) but still acceptable. Considering the recent Covid situation, home broadband has never been more important and fully utilised across the country, and Virgin have been great.

    I have been with Virgin for more than 3 years and pay for 100mbs. I installed WiFi UK mesh network and get 107mbs!!!

    All the places where where Virgin provides Internet the speeds are fabulous.

    Before Wi-Fi UK guys I stalled my mesh network, I could only get maximum of 70mbs from the original VM router. The WiFi signal was dropping too often. There were black spots upstairs and no internet in the attic. Who would be satisfied with lower speeds and rubbish coverage? Ps range extenders Virgin give out didn’t solve the problem. After I installed the WiFi UK mesh I get the internet I pay for everywhere and am a very satisfied customer of Virgin.

    Customer service isn’t bad either.

    We pay for 200 Mb internet and it's normally around 130 Mb and we pay £37.50
    In three years we only had a problem with our lane line and while the engineer was here they fitted a one modem. Great service and reliability.

    I've been with these guys for about 5 years. Moved to BT for 18 months, which was one of the worst moves I have made... At the end of the contract, I went straight back to Virgin Media.

    Very good speeds and reliable connections where I live. Recently speed was doubled for free - so pretty nice to have something like that for nothing.

    In the 5 years, it's only failed once that I can remember and that was an old terminal box at the wall that had developed a fault - engineer came out the next day and replaced it.

    The only downside is that if you want to get in contact or speak to someone it's hard to find the right section - but that's minor as it happens infrequently.

    In general, the best broadband provider I have used!

    Recently joined Virgin media again and so far so good, left Virgin in 2014 and switched to Sky (BIG MISTAKE). Paying for 100 Mbps and that's what I'm getting with a much more stable connection than Sky. HAPPY AT LAST!

    My experience has been second to none. I get my full 50Mb any time of day and night and have never had an outage in 24 months on this package. My upload is always 4.7Mb+. My connection has no packet loss and 0 jitter most of the time.
    Customer service, even off-shore has generally been good for me.
    Isn't it a pity that the speedtest at broadband.co.uk doesn't support Virgin speeds of 50Mb and 100Mb. Their customer service say the speed test doesn't support cable platforms. That makes this site biased in favour of ADSL and copper.

    Wanted fast reliable broadband, got exactly that. Little bit more expensive on the broadband but you get what you pay for - so would never go anywhere else now.

    Catch up and on demand works well with the new V6 box.

    Very reliable service providing good speed - maybe need to refresh the modem once in a while to maintain top speeds plus they provided a new modem last year which obtained the 20mb or at least 18-19mb. Can't fault them except their service is expensive and what I pay bears no relation to the low prices currently advertised. I am thinking of changing but I know I will miss the reliable & fast cable service so might just see if they can offer a better price deal. Their tv is good and I can't really fault them.
