    Just installed vip TV package & broadband. Within 2 hours I am face with no Internet & limited tv chanels. Contact virgin via 150 transfered to a technical who ask me to turn the box off for 2 minutes.carried some checks after turning on TV no changes to chanels. Suggest engineer visit 5 day wait, transfer to broadband department they suggested an engineer visit 5 day's. Request to speak to manager I was told there no managers available. Suggested cancel contract I was put through to customers relations to a smug young man by the name luke somewhere in Wales who wasn't interested in dealing with my problem. Rang 150 customers relations ask for a manager told all managers were in meetings. Told that he would contact installation team regional manager who will in turn contact me ASAP. I am still waiting. Looks like a good Advert for both SKY And BT.

    The worst internet provider I've ever used.

    I moved into a house 3 months ago, after leaving my job to work online. I rely on my internet for my income.

    Internet constantly drops out. And I've gone days without any service. For the privilege I have to wait 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone, to not fix the problem. And still charge me.

    I wish I could do the same to my customers and sleep at night.

    I've been connected to my neighbors (SKY) for 3 days on and off to get my work done.

    Without them, I would literally not be able to pay my mortgage.

    Absolute joke.

    I have never written a review before so I am sorry I have taken this long.

    I was with Virgin Broadband and TV for over 10 years up to 2016, the last 6 years I had only landline and broadband with them. They went from providing a good customer service (during the blue yonder period) to a poor service of deliberate lies and excuses.

    I think more problems occurred when the company changed hands:

    Hiking up my bills within 4 months for 3 years when I had been promised and agreed a certain fixed price.

    Not being able to access my email despite typing the correct password. Sometimes waiting 5 mins to get into my email.

    Being passed from one department to the other.

    My bills were always paid on-time by Direct Debit. I didn't mind there being a problem just as long as it wasn't frequent and that any problem would be solved quickly (and I mean immediately or within two days).

    I left Virgin because of the fluctuating prices and their dishonesty. Yet when I gave them notice that I was leaving, I had a numerous calls from a separate operation centre related to Virgin. They were rude with either a sarcastic tone, bullying tone and sometimes hung up on me when told them that I had already given notice to leave and I would not return. They were ringing everyday and I had to make a complaint to Virgin. Thankfully I spoke to someone who was mature and sensible. I had my credit sent within days, cut off was smooth.

    Now reading the reviews of so many broadband providers I can agree that a company is only as good as its workers.

    I am now regrettably, with Post Office Broadband and the only winners in this are Openreach the engineers they 'have to use'. Their customer service is diabolical - the internet when a second person is using it in the home - even more so. (Avoid Post Office Broadband. If you are desperate use the library or a friend/relative because believe me it is not worth 18 months of your life. After reading countless reviews and listening to comments, including the younger members of my household the Post Office broadband is not worth the bother.

    In conclusion: WE should dictate our terms. WE have the power to do so.

    I've made many complaints by phone and the problem is still unresolved.
    My contract states that I should pay £27 a month.
    Their system charges me £47 a month every month. I've been told 3 times that it is resolved and it will never charge me £47 a month again but it charges.

    The only company on the market that clearly steals your money.

    I have been a customer of virgin media for 14 years. and reading some of the reviews were shocking I have been really pleased with there service. broadband speed fantastic satisfaction all round. any problems sorted within the same day.all my family are with virgin media and we would not change to anyone else.

    UK'S worst broadband service. unqualified technical, sales team and order managers. Killed my 35 precious days for a new connection but say in the end there is no connection available for your area.

    Been receiving impartial service for well over 4 months.The customer service were challenging everything I was saying, yet they were speaking a load of bs.I requested an engineer out witch they ignored, I'll defo be getting disconnected soon as I line something up with sky or talk talk.As a person that uses internet pretty much all the time it's unacceptable.

    i have been using virgin media broadband and i got speed 213 Mbps wich I spouse to get minimum 50%wich is 100mbps even I don't get this I'm getting maximum 58 Mbps can't wait until my contract is finished sad with virgin medias service

    I am disgusted in this so called service. Never get anyone English on the phone, always on hold for god knows how long and the problems never get resolved.
    I have not signed a contract with this company and I want to cancel as I'm moving back to my mom's who already has virgin so there's no point having it there. They told me I cannot cancel even though I haven't signed a contract. They then said I'd have to pay a cancellation fee of £240 if I want to cancel completely. A one off payment of £20 to move the account to myour mom's and if I want the phone line didisconnected as my mom has a phone line it will be a one off fee of £62!!!!! And to top it all off my mom got a letter on behalf of my account saying when I move there my bill cost will be increased!!!! Wtf is wrong with you people? I have no money as I recently lost my job hence why I wish to cancel. So in a sense I'm going back to my mom's to pay for the phone line, Internet and TV box for what? The only thing I can use there is the TV box as it's the only thing my mom doesn't have. She already has Internet and a phone line. So they're being paid twice by the same house hold. Scamming bastards. Don't give a crap about your circumstances or the fact you haven't signed a effing contract. If rather burn my money and get black listed than pay this pathetic excuse of a company. I'm overly stressed with the outcome. I've had no sympathy and no one on the phones has attempted to help me, they were only interested in getting my money (which I don't have)! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE STRESS OF THIS GARBAGE BAG OF A COMPANY!!!!!!! THEIVES!!!!!!

    hello there.
    so my name is sandro mackay and I have been a virgin loyal customer for around 9 years. during these years the only letters I received where only to tell me that my bill was going up, which honeslty I always accepted. but just last week I decided to make a research about other providers and what they are offering. comes up that the money I was paying monthly which is 58 pounds a month, sky could give me same deal for 30 pounds. so considering the price, considering also that in 9 years a never received a discount of no sort and the broadband compared to 3 years a go is awful, I decided to change. but the most shocking was today. when I called virgin to let them know that I am cancelling, first of all they left me 30 minutes waiting on the line until I got assistance,and than to add insult to injury a girl named SOPHIE the only thing she cared about is to cancel my contract asap rather than asking why after 9 years I am leaving. the most shocking customer service and I really hope you do something cause she is there just there to get paid here wage. I am very sorry that I had to meet such a rubbish customer service . well done sophie

    Having placed an order for 100Mbswith Virgin Media in November 2015, two attempts were made to install the service. But, on both occasions, the cable in the road had not been puti in! It seems Virgin's internal communications are non existent! As for customer service? No one has ever called me to apologise, and I am always required to call them!

    I was with Virgin Media for the past 10 years, paying by direct debit on a monthly basis without fail.

    Recently, they posted a promotion for new customers offering the same package as mine at 35% less. Despite my call to the customer retention department, they still wouldn’t offer me lower cost.

    If a Virgin Media does not appreciate its loyal customers it’s time to avoid them which is why I left. Virgin Media should know that it’s easy to temp new customer with Special Christmas packages, but loyalty from your existing customers has to be earned.

    Been with Virgin before and ha no problems. Moved in January and since they I had no WIFI. No matter how many times I contacted them nothing was resolved. Not to mention that you loose half a day with them.
    Today, one representative agreed that I have no WIFI services and told me he will send WiFi pod free of charge. Later I received my invoice increased. I will not accept them when they come.
    I called again to ask and, because I’ve been waiting for so long for them to fix I recorded everything . When the lady representative answer she was adamant that the phone call will be finish as she does not give consent.
    I think that Virgie media is a joke. Obviously management does not have a clue of what is happening in their company and middle ma agent seems that doesn’t care.
    I already took this personal and started the necessary steps to resolve my issue with them. However, I would like to advise people as I would have liked to be , not to go ahead with this provider. It will be a loss of money and gained stress.
    The internet is full of negative comments about them and I wish I had a brain and search before agreeing a contract with them.
    In addition, they are asking me for 240£ if I want to end the contract with them, even thought I did not benefit fully from their services.
    I don’t want you to be convinced of what I am writing here. I want you to read people’s reviews regarding their services and then you will be 100% convinced.

    Had nonstop issues with virgin promise this promise that. Endless phonecalls of frustration and no outcome. Ive canceld in the end and now my internets gone down from 60/100mb to 3mb in the 30day notice

    What a diabolical company, I have had nothing but problems with their service from day one. First i was on the wrong package, had to pay to change over. then I did not recieve my bill via the e-mail so my services will be suspended untill I pay and I will be charged a connection fee. what rubish you try and speak to a manager and some woman with an accent I cannot understand or Identify says she is the best person I can speak to... God help me...

    Never in a million years will i be coming back to this company. The only virgin here is richard branson . A virgin at running a media providing company. Biggest joke ever. Coming up to 2months now still no installation. My childrens education has sufferred and have no landline so my alarm system isnt connected leaving me and my family insecure. They dont even take your complaint seriously. If only i could report this. Bang outta order.

    Virgin media is total a fraud and I have been told by virgin media that they do only soft search on your credit history. But they did hard search on my credit history and damaged my score. Also complained but after 10 days contacted again and been told there's no complain on their system, second time complaint and beed promised I will receive the reference number through the post email but never received so I'm thinking to take a legal action against the virgin media.

I hate changing every 12-18 months but it seems that this is what they want although I can't comprehend what do they gain. I simply want a reliable broadband for a decent fixed price. Why is that hard? :(

    Virgin media had made contract with for £29 a month for one year and for no reason they increase my bill. I will change to different provider asap. I would rate them 0 because of that. Better to get any other provider but no virgin media. They don't care for their customers

    Total rubbish service and very belligerent call centre. I may have said the ‘f’ word once and that’s not good/was called out in the style of “this is being recorded so I shall hang up now”...     After 9 years of being with Virgin Media I have now finally left them and just joined up with Sky. Never known a company with such poor communication between not only me and them, but also between them and their colleagues!

    I moved house 3 weeks ago and when my installation for transferring my services came there was a problem. The cable that runs under my drive way was basically damaged. Virgin media wanted to dig up my drive, being a newly brought property with a newish driveway I refused. Several different engineers even told me that Virgin Media will make a mess of the drive. So at this point I spoke to an area manager whom we discussed an alternative route for new cables to be laid.

    I was told the cables needed to be laid before my new installation date and that someone would be out. This didn't happen and I continuously rang them up until my new installation date on the 27th September to say that my cables still hadn't been laid. I was assured that the engineers coming to do my installation would be laying the cables and doing the installation.

    Surprise supirse when the 27th September came (yesterday) the engineers turned up and said they aren't qualified to lay new cables and are only here to connect my boxes up. They then rang the area manger that I had previously spoken to, he assured me that a construction team would be out that day to lay the cables so the two engineers that were here could complete their job. Guess what, that never happened, these poor engineer guys kept coming back out during the day to complete their job only to find everytime that the construction team still hadn't been!

    I then rung and complained as was assured by a lady at the technical team that the installation would be completed by the end of the day. So 5pm came and the area manager decided to ring me and ask me "Are you sure you don't want us to dig up your drive?" This is a question he had already had an answer to over 2 weeks ago when I told them NO. I them asked if the team were on their way and he said no he had been in a meeting all day so was unable to arrange it!! This was a blatent lie aswell as several times when the engineers arrived here throughout the day they was on the phone to him! So he basically had no intention of arranging this work to happen even though he had 2 weeks to do so after my first installation was meant to happen. Therefore I sat in all day long yesterday under the false pretention that I would be all connected up!

    I advise if you are thinking of going to Virgin them DO NOT. The centres just tell you anything to get you off the phone and are no help whatsoever and the managers are even worse.

    5/8 box installed- technician went outside to check signal 'bad news' you need a repull ... Nightmare begins . He took all the equipment away , otherwise I'd have to pay from that day!
    12/8 technician turns up 9am and didn't know anything about repull . He out the box in and two construction men turn up to lay cables . I had 8-1 slit they promise a 4th chap would come the same day to do the repull .
    I rand virgin 5 TIMES that day , and been robbed off by advisors India and lied too to get me off the phone .
    Outcome - no service . Call 5 established that manager will call me tomorrow as repull has been rescheduled for 21st August!!!! What a joke this company is .
    Don't be drawn in by flashy adverts or prices as their service is very very bad , infact one of the. Worst I've ever experienced . 5th call today lady an hour and I've put in a complaint that could take 28days for a reposnse ! Shocking .
    Very person from virgin has lied or fobbed me off , wish I'd stick to BT

    Virgin media have lost the plot and keep raising prices for lesser service. You pay Virgin more than SKY for less channels and phone yet Virgin every 6 months raise prices and then when u renew increase again. WELL GOODBYE..AND THANK YOU SKY.

    Been a Virgin customer for 16months and subscribed to and been paying for 350mb broadband and tel line. In 16months I have yet to experience a single week where the broadband is actually what virgin promised to deliver and what actually I pay for!!!! ie anywhere near the 350mb, instead I have Ookla tests (approx 70-100 recorded test) on my phone for the last 12months and they consistently show broadband speeds of around 30-70mb!!!! I have rang up
    Virgin customer services on at least 10-12 separate occasions comparing about the lack of service and after 4 engineer visits and 9 months the problem is still there and yet to be resolved!!! Engineers acknowledge problem but make small fixes and leave and problem literally returns as soon as engineer leaves! Last engineer could not even get speeds of 100mb!!
    No offer to recompense loss of service and to date continue to charge me full price for the service eventhough they completely failed to deliver the service promised! Cannot even offer a date where problem will be resolved!!!
    I cannot wait for any other provider to offer these speeds as I will switch instantly and never return to Virgin.
    I would strongly advise anyone looking at Virgin as a supplier to avoid this company and disgraceful service and look elsewhere!
    Terrible unprofessional company that don’t even have an email address for customers to make any complaints or feedback!!!

    I would request all of the UK citizen please do not take a contract from Virgin Media, one of the worse customer service , I ever experieced, I can give a example , I was talking to a manager he is from Philippines his name is Ian at one point of our conversation Mr Ian telling mr of saying shut up ! I was fully shocked all I ask him can you please explain me how much I paid so far ,why my bill is so high.
    So please think twice before you buy there product and please bare in your mind about the service. Thank you very much for reading.

    Please, please, please for your sanity and peace of mind, don't go to this company for your home phone, broadband or any other service(s).
    Listening & "hearing" you as the customer is not a privilege you can rely on when liaising with this company.

    You'll get more from watching paint dry or picking yer nose, the choice is yours!!

    Appalling. Called to say I was leaving on a specific date and was cut off early. Every time I contacted customer services, I was misdirected and / or cut off. The complaints procedure is a joke and a thoroughly unpleasant experience all round. I will certainly not be returning, nor would I encourage anyone else to sign up with VM.

    Very unhappy with the customer service level of virgin media. Complain about the speed of my premium package kept fluctuating badly they said they couldn't do anything about it if the device was not connected via ethernet cable. I asked them to help me out they said yes but they would be a £99 callout charge for moving the router upstairs from downstairs. I waited for a week and one of their "engineers" came he literally stapled a cable to the barrister of the staircase and threw a large amount of cable wire upstairs, leaving it lying on the top of the stairs saying he could not do anymore. I had to spend the rest of my day sorting the wiring out neatly. Do not recommend this company, the customer database is big enough they don't care about new customers.

    absolutely insulting customer service, they are trying to charge me for a months worth of internet i haven't had, i cancelled over a month ago and they sent me a bill of over £100. They said when i signed up that installation was free, they charged me £50. I'm currently charging them for every email i respond to. they actually swore at me down the phone. I had great speeds when i had it, just god forbid you have to deal with a issue with them.
