My wife and I have just moved into our first home and the first thing I wanted to get up and running was the internet as I know this is usually what takes the longest.
I did some researching online and price comparing for fibre Broadband and Vodafone along with Talktalk were by far the cheapest available. My mother has Talktalk fibre and I really can't say a bad word about them but what sold me to choose Vodafone was the current offer they have on where you can choose a free gift. I chose the Wireless speaker which I've wanted to buy for a while so it was a no brainer for me.
I was given a date for an engineer to come round and fit a new line as ours had been cut completely by I presume the people living at the flat before us.
The engineer called me 15mins before arriving just to let me know he was on his way. He was very friendly and the work carried out was very neat so no ugly cables running up and down the walls. He finished the job within an hour or so and said once the router has turned on and done what it needs to do it should all be up and running.
5 hours later and we still didn't have any Internet so I decided to call Vodafone just to check this was normal as I was told it can take up to midnight for the line to be activated.
I called at about 7pm and there was a que of just under an hour so I decided to use their call back service. I received a call back from a lady who was really brilliant from start to finish and she told me that something needed to be done their end to get our internet up and running. I stayed on the line for about 15mins whilst they done the necessary bits their end, she then explained how to reset the router and then said to leave it to work through it's boot up process and to try again in half an hour to see if it was working. She also promised a call back in an hour to make sure it was working.
Within 20 mins or so our Fibre broadband was all up and running and straight away with the speeds we was told we would get. I was called back as promised too just to make sure everything was up and running which I thought was fantastic as usually companies will promise a call back and you'll never hear from them again!
Other than the minor delay it getting it up and running so far I really don't have a bad word to say about Vodafone's broadband service.
Along with the best price available there is no traffic shaping meaning no slowing you down during peak hours, no download limits, possibly the most helpful and friendliest customer service I have ever used and a free wireless speaker worth £180!!
Vodafone have clearly put a lot of effort and resources into getting their broadband right and competing with the big boys and it most definitely shows.
It's early days but so far I have been nothing but impressed and won't hesitate to recommend you to everyone I know!

Shockingly bad customer service, which I unfortunately have to deal with due to connection issues. Every bad customer service cliche is here - good luck staying sane when trying to deal with them. The automated call-direction software alone will transport you into a kafkaesque nightmare.

AVOIDD!!!The worst services ever!! The worst customers services. Even Talk talk are far more better!
I would give less then one start if possible after such bad experience with them. I made a contract for home broadband after using them services for many years for my mobile. They made the contract lying and saying they will provide the best services ever and even a consistent present. The present was just a lie as after 4 mouths didn't received anything. Anyway ...they lie to me again about the live day for the internet keep postpone that. Finally the start internet arrived and waiting for the green router light witch even after 3 mouths and a half failed to come. I spent daily hours and hours with them on the phone all off them promise to fix it. I asked them to cancel in those 30 days but they keep lying assuring me I will finally have internet 3 mouths like this....after so much waiting my sister who lives at the same address as me, tired of waiting made new contract on her name with different provider. I didn't know at that time that one contract cancel automatically the previous one because of just one phone line assigned per house. Suddenly Vodafone remembered about me and sent me a 218£ bill for cancelling the contract. Paying 218£ for nothing as THEY FAILED to provide them services and ignore my calls (for 3 MOUNTHS) for witch the contract was signed. I start calling them again daily each of the UNTRAINED customers services employees kept me on the phone for 2-3 hours saying they can not wave the extra charges. I made numerous complaints every time they promising special team will contact me as priority ,2 weeks still waiting. PLEASE try to avoid them 'services' AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!

Getting latency of 232ms (on Superfast 2 Fibre) - very very poor!
Again the BT Openreach line seems to be working perfectly so leads me to the conclusion that Vodafone can't their side of the broadband network!

If I could give half a star I would, even no star.
The customer service advisors are absolutely useless, cannot correct/amend bills, can't listen, very robotic with answers (sounds like they are giving answers from a sheet of paper) we have had to cancel our DD to sort out a simple overcharged invoice which Vodafone's incompetent staff messed up in the first place instead of charging for a early upgrade they charged full price for the device.
So far it has been 6 and a half weeks and I have made numerous calls and wrote 2 letters to The Customer Relations office. The Customer Relations office are more useless than watching paint dry they don't sort out issues however they are very well trained to get on your nerves, you end up training them!!! Bunch of muppets wasting time is what they are paid for. There's so many call centres all over the world that they can't find call recordings so they make the customer look like a liar.
I fail to understand what the fascination of cheap labour is when it was simpler when every thing was in the same place and call recordings could be found?
The Indian advisor told me that there are NO managers or supervisors available to which I said so staff are left to do whatever they want then hmm no wonder customers receive such bad service.
If your call goes to India just hang up and re-dial until the call goes to UK or South Africa.
I have a business line with Vodafone and find their service atrocious beyond belief. Where you could be making money for your business you end up spending valuable time talking to numpties. After all our business lines come to an end we will definitely be leaving Vodafone. For the rates they charge I would expect far better service.

I have had internet problems for around 20 days. Receiving less then 1mg to no internet. I wish this was the first time it has happed however it is not.
I phoned up 16 days ago saying I have had less then 1mg and it wasn't usable. They said I should upgrade and I would get a promised speed of 38mg, so I did.
They said this would take 12 days. However in this time I went from less then 1mg to no internet what so ever. I contacted them by live chat on day 14 to say I had no internet.
They said it would be fixed in 48 hours.
It wasn't, still no internet.
So I phoned up today, I've spent all day trying to resolve this. I spoke to a guy called Aslam, who kept promising to call be back. First he said he would call be back in 30min, he finally got back to me after one hour. Only to tell me the internet was faulty in my area and he could give my a promised speed of 10mg. Suppose that's better then nothing...
Then he said he would get back to be in 10min. I waited for over an hour to get no call back.
So I contacted Vodafone and spoke to a girl called Hannah. She states that an issue has never been raised. She states she has now done this and has given me some data so I can use my phone to provide internet. However it will take a further 2 days for it to be raised with tech.
I feel like I've wasted the best part of a month and used my days off only to be fobbed off by Vodafone with their empty promises.
If you want to join a company that will make constant promises they can't keep. Or if you want to spend most of your time trying to resolve issues with people who don't care. Then Vodafone is the one for you.

they expect the customer to open the bt socket which is illegal just so they can run tests, they even asked me to open the bt socket with a screw driver i mean WHAT if i was a old person they said they could not fix the issue without this, i have been told by BT that if i touch it and there is a issue then i will be charge for a minimum of £50 for a engineer call out

Avoid like leprosy. Broadband service cancelled in the first month as service was rubbish (connection stopped working every 2-3 minutes) in the first month I had to contact customer service around 10 times, they did not fix it. After I swapped broadband they kept charging me months. In the last 6 months I tried to get my money back. They promised me the refund in 5-10days and they always forgot to send the money. I have printed all the conversations so time to ask for legal help.

Absolutely disgusted with Vodafone! We arranged a date and time slot for broadband to be installed, and my husband took the afternoon off work especially. When he called them to find out where they were, they said they’d cancelled the appointment because there was a problem with the cabinet in the street and needed to reschedule the appointment for 5 days later!
We tried to use their social media teams to get earlier resolution, but instead, Stephanie advised us to go with a different provider! Never heard of a provider recommending to go with a different company before!

Been with Vodafone since July after being conned into getting it we was told we would get a minimum of 60mbps but the highest we get is 40 we was told we wouldn't have to pay for instalment but we got charged the internet speed goes up and down all the time with it dropping out completely at least 5-6 times a day the wifi range which we was told is one of the best on the market doesn't work if your more then 10 meters from it and it can only support one or two devices at a time when we phoned up to complain all they said was the guy who sold us the deal shouldn't of said any of that cause it's not true when we asked about leaving they wanted us to pay the full 18 months up front so now we are stuck with this terrible internet

I sing the contact on 16 of March for 76 mbps. They promised me that everything will start on 23 rd of March, just arrived to home got text that my internet will start 4 of April. 4 of April internet was actived but router I got 7 of April:D
When I plugged into the wall off course nothing was working. I was calling to customer service many times and after waiting additional week 12 of April finally engineer came and fixed problem. Every single evening from aroud 6 pm speed of internet is around 2-5 mbps but now is all the time like this so I would say that I stuck without internet again.
I try to cancel my contract because I'm really tired of Vodafone. So if you don't want have problem with internet keep away from Vodafone.

Absolute crap, no one there knows that they're doing.
Switched over to Vodafone, and parents has no internet, and no one there knows how to fix.
They just go through circles of diagnosing the issue, and checks and all these nonsense that doesn't actually fix the issue

Even though virgin media was really bad in my opinion. I'd say it was still better than this.

I have had Vodafone Broadband for over nearly two weeks now, and I can only say it is great. I switched from BT Infinity which i've had for a number of years since it was first released.
The switch over was painless, I was told to plug the router in before 8am on the morning of the switch over. I plugged it in at 6:30 am , and the service was already live.
Speed is better than BT, 76m line and am getting 74m+ was only managing 68m on BT.
I was using my own Netgear router with BT as the home hub is one of the worst routers I have ever used and asked if I could again , I was told that was not possible, so I have run there router since install and have found it to be as good as my own.
Remember to switch the channels from auto to another one, I use wifi analyzer on my phone to see the best channel to use, this removes any problems with wifi clutter from other peoples routers. Changing channels is simple with the Vodafone Router's simple web interface.

Vodafone guaranteed 10.8 Mbs upfront in writing, initially all went well with installation etc. After a couple of weeks the internet speed started to cause spooling and drop out, speeds of 7.8 Mbs according to Vodafone but Oopla showed 7 Mbs. Router and incoming box was changed and all okay for a couple of weeks and a repeat of previous problem, Vodafone agreed speed had dropped off to 6.4 Mbs but watching TV and tele-conferencing, not together caused spooling and connection loss. Complained and was given the normal checks and they agreed that the rate had fallen to below the 6.4 and was at 5.8 Mbs, Oopla shows 4.8 Mbs. Final outcome more spooling, line down more often but Vodafone has given a whopping 15% discount on monthly charge and basically said live with it or go to another provider. Problem no Virgin in the area and Openreach will be backup so nothing will change. Speed at box is 21 Mbs so telegraph line is degrading quality to circa 5 Mbs (75%), so money being taken for service provided and maintenance but the latter not being done as distance from box to router calls should provide circa 15 Mbs. Vodafone is not in control of Openreach and therefore supplies rubbish Broadband.

Woeful, please avoid.
I have had Pro Gigafast 900 broadband for just over 3 months now.
After 8 weeks my line was just shut off one morning for no apparent reason. It seems there was a cancellation order put through, though neither vodafone nor city fibre would take responsibility for this error.
I spent more time than you can imagine (6hours on one day) on the phone to, and stuck on hold with vodafone. It took 11 days of no internet, a whole new account and checking process to finally get up and running again. I was compensated and I thought that would be the end of it.
Alas, no.
This morning I got up to my broadband not working again, after a queue for 30 minutes I had a wholly unsatisfactory conversation with a "tech" person who informed me that City fibre were doing some work and that an outage would last usually for 24-48 hours. There is no warning that this is going to happen so I was just generally inconvenienced.
I have now plugged in the back up dongal supplied and my 910MBS is now running at a download speed of 15.1MBS and an upload speed of 8.93MBS. Whilst this is completely unacceptable, the funniest bit of all is that I am using up the back up data, so in the long run this will cost me when it runs out. The fact is, I should have my quota still as this is yet another situation that the Vodafone and City Fibre partnership has created.
I then asked the "tech guy" to put me through to complaints and was told on 4 occasions that I wasn't allowed whilst the outage is ongoing. This will mean that I will have to call vodafone yet again and waste my time becoming irate in a queue again to complain about an outstanding poor service again!
Please avoid, this is not a one off thing, the whole experience is woeful.

The advertised download speed with my package is 38mps. I hae just tested it and it averages 21. I live literally 100ft from the exchange, so thats miles of fibre and 100ft of copper. When I call to complain they tell me the problem must be in my flat. The router is plugged directly into the socket on the wall, but if i test the speed using my laptop inches from the router there is no improvement. Customer service just say they are sending the signal at 40mps and refuse to send an engineer to investigate. It's not cheap, the customer service is awful and I can't even stream iPlayer or YouTube reliably.

Had this broadband for a year, and I have got to say it is the most unreliable and slowest internet I have ever had. Never had problems like I have had with Vodafone. My internet drops out 3-4 times a week and I lose connection. I play online gaming a lot and it's a pain and when streaming Netflix or YouTube it buffers, which for this day and age and these 'supposed' speeds it's utterly ridiculous. I've had engineers out to check my phone line etc but no improvement. The customer service is pretty much non existent. The usual 'we will check your phone line' and 'your speed at your router is what it should be'. I'm lying for the Up to 76MBps broadband, and use a hard wired connection for what I can, and I receive at max 20MBps download with 5MBps Upload which is daylight robbery. I have patiently waited until this contract ended and I will not be renewing with Vodafone. My parents experience the same issues, when they also have never had any issues until switching to Vodafone.
Avoid them like the plague, absolutely dreadful broadband service, and you would think they would provide a great service after being fined for bad customer service not too long ago. I highly do not recommend this broadband. Terrible experience.

I signed up with Vodafone in March 2019, I was advised that I would have a minimum download speed of 38 Mbps, I was only getting between 18 and 21, very slow, I contacted Vodafone in May they advised me that my speed was slow, brilliant of them, so they advised me that they would sort the problem out, they did nothing, on the 2nd January I contacted Vodafone, they came through on my mobile on TECH SEE, they view all the problems and saw the speed check on my laptop, it was 21 Mbps download, I have run this test over a 100 times in the last year and it always comes up between 18 and 21 Mbps. I was advised that they had found a fault in the exchange, and that an engineer from Open Reach would be with me on the 3rd January, no engineer turned up. I contacted Vodafone again, they spent over 4 hours on the phone with me running speed checks, changing settings and again on my mobile by Tech See, they advised me that they would send me another Router, this is the third Router I have had, they advised me they would contact me on the 8th January at 18.00 hours to see if the new Router had helped me, again I got no call from Vodafone, I contacted Vodafone again and advised them the new Router had made no difference to the speed I was getting, they then advised me that their was multi issues on the line and a Open Reach engineer would be coming to my home on the 10th January 2020 between 13.00 Hours and 18.00 hours, now what a surprise again no Engineer turned up, just after 18.00 hours I contacted Vodafone again, they advised me that the Engineer was at my home at 13-14 on the 10th January and got no reply, I was at home all day and I have a CCTV system with 8 CCTV Cameras, so I looked at the recording for that day, no Open Reach Engineer was at my home, not even in the street, so they advised me that an appointment had been made for an Engineer to come to my Home between 8am and 1pm on the 11 th January 2020, I had a phone call from an Open Reach Engineer at 11am on the 11th January, he was phoning me from London to find my address, I am in Scotland 965 miles from London, he said he could not come up to Scotland and help me, so again I phoned Vodafone and complained, they have not addressed any of my complaints since last year. I spoke to another person in Vodafone Technical, they advised me that their was no problems in the line, and advised me to do another speed Check, I refused to do that again, as I have run over 100 speed checks in the last year, and they have all been between 18 and 21 Mbps, 18 of these checks have been done this year, and they have seen the results when they were on my mobile doing the TECH SEE, so they know what speed I am getting, and they keep asking me to do tests, they always come up with the same results. VODAFONE ARE TOTALLY USELESS. WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Whilst the price and speed package was very well priced and i gone for it, using it for 6 months it has been unreliable service on monthly, weekly and daily basis, i experience frequent broadband disconnections and reduced speed, for example for the last 7 days i am running on 8Mbps download speed where is my package is 65Mbps.
I didn't think its possible these days to have such unreliable connection and every time the speed issue gets resolved, its just matter of days when it drops again.
Never had this issue with Sky, and even think of TalkTalk its been better.
Its been such a waste of time constantly reporting these issues. Will be looking to move away

Moved to Vodafone from Origin and what a difference. On Origin I was lucky to get 10 - 15 Mb and was told my line would not support anything better.
Swap to Vodafone and I now get 50+ Mbs speeds. OK I don't get their guaranteed 55Mbs but they have taken 15% off my payments till they can get 55 so I am happy.
No dropouts, no slowing just a fast reliable connection. The only possible gripe I have is there modem is not the best and the WIFI coverage is not great but you can use your own modem no problem and setup is easy.
I have nothing but praise for Vodafone, brilliant service on a brilliant system, thank you Vodafone.

Brilliant, was with Origin (urgh) was slow, just service was diabolical, took 4 days to answer an email to be told to ring, after 2 hours waiting to be answered hung up
Vodafone are brilliant, old ISP said my line would not support anything over 25mb download, somehow Vodafone have miraculously achieved over 55mb, now that is just a tad quicker than 25mb Mr Origin.
Cant rate customer service and I have not needed to call them but everything works just fine and so fast now.
Switch to them, you won't regret ir.

This broadband is the most useless thing i have ever experienced. I live in the country side so my internet speed it anywhere from 8mbps to 15mbps so not great. However this isn't the issue as it is the same for most providers, the issue is that their router is god awful. I have had issues since day 1 where the router would disconnect from the internet for no reason. after a lot of telephone calls and new routers we were informed by Vodafone that our router disconnects from the internet after it has done a certain amount of downloads. I may be wrong but isn't it its job to download to receive downloads and uploads. So their router decides to STOP WORKING WHEN IT DECIDES IT HAS HAD ENOUGH. They had no way to fix this. NEVER USE THEM! To be honest they don't deserve any stars at all but unfortunately that isn't an option.

One of the worst service providers and even worse customer service!!
Their IT infrastructure is terrible.
They have disconnected our broadband services without even giving us a warning. Why? Because we said that we need a change of address in a month's time!!!!
When we called them, after being shoved around from country to country customer services,we were promised to get back our broadband after 48hrs. When we called to ask again after 48hrs, there was no record of our previous calls!!!!!

Vodafone set us up quickly, and we had a much faster line than advertised. However, we came home one day and our Internet wasn't working. Contacted support who advised us our account had been cancelled, so they setup an engineer to reconnect us 2 days later. Still no Internet from then so phoned again and was told that the exchange was broken and that in 2 days open reach would be out to fix. Phoned back again 2 days later and was told that the open reach appointment was never scheduled and that in 2 days it would be fixed, surprise surprise no Internet 2 days later and this time told he didn't have the right materials to fix the exchange. Asked for a 4g dongle to keep us connected and were told no as we are not moving house so we asked to cancel and move to another provider, after cancelling we were transferred to customer service who offered us a 4g dongle but were told that the 18.50/month we had agreed to would be going up to 23.50/month. This all happened because apparently we are supposed to phone Vodafone and tell them that our Internet is working? Would avoid at all costs. Just spend an extra couple of quid a month and go to a better provider

I have just changed to Vodafone and what I have experienced so far is nothing short of appalling. I cannot connect to Wi-Fi on any devises. I work from home and it is absolutely useless. I have contacted Vodafone and have been given free data and told an engineer would come out. The service is terrible. I was told to download there app. Every time you try to connect to Wi-Fi nothing works. I have Netflix on TV and it cannot connect to that either. What's the point in paying for broadband if no service?

Hands down the worst fibre broadband I have ever had.
I went for the "Superfast2" option, it constantly drops the connection when multiple devices are connected so it's not suitable for an average size family home, decent enough speed for 1 or 2 devices but that's it. If you have a few X-boxes, phones, Netflix, etc running at the same time then stay well clear of this company, you will be left severely disappointed and counting the days down until your 18 month contract runs out.
When you start asking questions about the poor quality of service you will be put through to the technical team who's first response is to inform you that your connection is syncing at the maximum speed ~63Mb, why this is important I don't know as the actual data throughput from this connection is woeful.
They will then "help" you diagnose the quality issues you are experiencing, unplugging filters, cables, reset router, etc. Ultimately this results in them sending you a new router which makes absolutely no difference what so ever.
At this stage its then just a case of wash, rinse & repeat every time you contact them, I think I was on my forth router by the time my contract was up.
Switched to a new provider advertising the same speeds as Vodafone and the difference in quality of service, primarily download speed and throughput is day and night.
