My broadband was due to be activated on 1st July 2022. It is now 28th october and they have cancelled and renewed my order multiple times so I am still not connected. Openreach still needs to perform work to upgrade the line to fibre optics. They have now sent me 3 routers and wasted countless hours of my time on the phone and waiting for openreach engineers to arrive. Absolute joke, not recommended. Communication and customer service is terrible, not because of the workers but because of the systems they have in place.

Vodafone is never to be reliable. Speed is not fast as hyperoptic or Virgin media, but it keeps on and off no services. Every time need to wait a week to fix. Even they can compensate to you, it’s not worth at all.

Seriously horrible experience from the time I signed up and until the delivery. they promissed 3 dates and every single one them were pushed back with out any notice. when I called, they had some notes to say technician tried to contact....
and after a month, I had some ove visited and no broadband kit deliverd.
I probably have contacted Vodafone via calles and chat about 10 times ( atleast) and there were heaps of apologies and "i am here to resolve your query" slogans but there were no action
I couldnt explain in words how long and pathetic the service is

Beyond bad. Swapped over on the 13th October. As of the 22nd October, still no internet. Can't believe what their team tell me as it conflicts with Open Reach engineers. Sent me to their local store to pick up temporary dongle.. Guess what, their store couldn't get on-line.. UNBELIEVABLE. Another engineer booked for the 25/10 but still no guarantee of internet. I've changed provider 4 times in the past, all changes have been smooth and trouble free.. Vodafone have been the only one to make a mess of it..

Just incompetent customer service. Since I joined they still can't fix my issue with logging to my account. They communicate very badly about the progress just suggesting me do so smth that doesn't work, ignore my emails or respond with robotic template. Also WIFi connection is not stable, my TV has issues connecting to the network as well as some of smart bulbs. After 3 months of the service I decided to leave.

Avoid like the plague. Mis-sold a contract they could not deliver, lost my landline number 4 times and had to have different ones, cut off my internet. Now after 3 MONTHS they have said they are unable to get me a landline number as they have used them all up. So no landline or internet for 3 months. Now have to go somewhere else!

The citifibre kids who came out only knew one way to install so no options were discussed for installing the equipment. It's less than ideal in a front bedroom on the middle floor in a room i seldom use. It's also impossible to get a wired connection from there so I'm reliant on a poor WiFi router. The Vodafone router is poor, at best. You'd hope that with 900Mb to play with you would get more than 70-80 at the wi-fi, in the same room, but no. Occasionally it goes above 80, into the 150's but not often. 1 floor up this page is struggling to load now. A friend once had gig fibre and he was getting 800+ on wi-fi... Not so here, which means that the fibre was probably broken on install and the router isn't good at dealing with it.
Poor. Stay away.

Terrible. Had this now for over two weeks, device has not yet actually been activated. Having to make do with a back up dongle. Apparently it’s a problem at the city fibre/open reach end but can’t really get an answer as to when it will be fixed.
AVOID!!!

After nearly a 3 month delay to activation of my service I took comfort that Vodafone was part of the broadband compensation scheme. This may be the case but they will use every trick in the book to not honour what you may be entitled to.
It's now 4 months since my service was activated but I'm yet to receive anything on compensation. Every month Vodafone agree what I'm owed but never ever apply it and continue to bill me. This is the most frustrating company to deal with, please please avoid. I've every correspondence backed up but they still will try to avoid paying you and when you think you've it sorted the bill lands in and they pretend not to know anything previously. Poor poor service

I would give 0 if available as an option.
overall satisfaction: 0, no internet for 4 weeks.
customer service is useless, and they do not know what they are talking.
Broadband speed: this is a joke, no internet so 0 speed.
Broadband reliability: I would give 100 as it is 100% consistently no internet, so VERY RELIABLE

Don’t trust Vodafone + CityFibre on “gigafast” internet.
I switched from Virgin to Cityfibre due to assurances that it’s reliable from
trusted friends, and the promise of symmetrical upload and download speeds.
This was a huge mistake.
Installation was supposed to be Monday 26th September. I cancelled Virgin that day and cut the cable so the engineers didn’t need to drill another hole in the wall. Then they said there was some sort of “gap” in the cabling further up the street to the cabinet, so it couldn’t be finished. No idea what the issue was, but whatever. It took Cityfibre until yesterday, Friday 7th October, to send an engineer out to blow the cable. I was promised that it would be arranged “within the next 10 days”, which seems mean “we’ll bother to call you to arrange the visit exactly 10 days from now, then the visit will be at some point after that”. That seemed to work, and the lights on the ONT are all green.
But the internet is STILL not connected. The Internet light on the router is flashing red indicating it cannot be authenticated at Vodafone’s end. It was doing this all day yesterday. I wasted an hour on the phone to be told “everything is done our end, it can go live any time until midnight” even though it was patently obvious it would not magically fix itself at 2 minutes to midnight.
Quelle surprise, it doesn’t work this morning either. I have wasted another hour on the phone to Vodafone, only to be told that it is something Cityfibre need to fix, and they may need an engineer visit. But they’re shut on weekends, so I need to wait until Monday
I have been 12 days without broadband, relying on the 4G backup dongle. I have had to waste HOURS on the phone to both Cityfibre and Vodafone to find out what’s going on. And now it will be 14 complete days without broadband, assuming they actually fix it on Monday, which is seeming increasingly unlikely. No doubt I’ll be waiting another 10 days from Monday for the Cityfibre engineers to bother looking at the appointment system and scheduling me in. I am not even convinced it’s Cityfibre’s issue here, as the connection test the guy did to the ONT yesterday worked, it’s just the Vodafone authentication that’s not working. It’s definitely not the cable or the router hardware, as I’ve tested my own router (with the correct PPPoE credentials I was provided by Vodafone) and other cables.
I asked Vodafone to just try resetting the PPPoE credentials, as based on other forum posts, this seems to be the solution. They flat out refused and said “the problem is with Cityfibre”. This would fix the issue within minutes, but they’re unwilling to even *try*. This constant buck passing and refusal of both sides to accept any responsibility is absolutely ridiculous.
Don’t bother upgrading to Cityfibre through Vodafone if you get a circular through your door promising fast speeds, it’s probably not going to work and they’re not going to expend any effort whatsoever trying to fix it promptly. When it does eventually connect, I’m fully not expecting to get remotely close to the advertised speeds.

Signed up for Fibre 500. Given switch over date of 30 September. Wait in all day, nothing. Finally got through to customer service to be told don’t worry engineer coming today- total lie. Next day current provider stops service. Call Vodafone who day they need a multi skilled engineer to visit and they didn’t cancel previous provider. Called previous provider who told me yes Vodafone took over on 30th. Back to Vodafone , this time they admitted taking over the line. Waiting now for a site visit. No engineer been near property. On phone again to be told will update me on 15th! Two weeks with no internet. Having read reviews about speeds on here think I will cancel. They have taken my money with no capability to provide the service. Dishonest .
AVOID VODAFONE

Signed up for 12-month sim only contract in January. So this is a contract right for the sale of services right? So it should stay at £12 per month for the term of the contract? But in April, up goes the monthly fee to £13.11 with no warning. Noticing this, I called customer service just now to explain and the adviser was most rude and un-understanding. Apparently there will be a £50 charge to leave the contract now, or wait until next January! "Oh it's all in the terms and conditions" apparently! That's not what I was told when signing up, and not what I consider to be fair or equitable. Vodafone should perform their side of the bargain for the agreed fee, and if they decide to change the fee I should be able to pull out. Appalling - Avoid Vodafone at all costs

avoid this dodgy company! The reality about all Vodafone services: I've signed up for full fiber with Vodafone first 30 days it was perfect 130+ Mbps after that is dreadful most of the days I can't even watch a movie on Netflix, contract says minimum speed 50mb which customer service told me it's on a cable connection for only one device, even with a cable connection best I've seen was 44mb then I wanted to cancel the contract and they told me I can't do that only if I pay the remaining 35 months contract .... Same thing with my phone where everything struggle to work as you will expect
Very poor overall

Vodafone have to be the most incompetent company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Here’s why;
Order accepted by Vodafone 12/08/22 with an advised installation date of 07/09/22. Not ideal but ok, I’ll live with no internet for a week or two after Virgin removed.
Morning of 07/09 arrrives with no confirmation of time etc, so I call to check. Despite taking a day off work to ensure they are able to install, I am advised it won’t be this day, but the following day. Patience now being tested.
Next day, nothing.
After numerous phonecalls, Vodafone finally admit they have no idea when I’ll be connected.
Eventually, a week and a half later, they arrive to install. Too late, I have returned to Virgin, who have been excellent in reinstalling.
A lesson learned, Vodafone broadband is a shambles of a business.

Apparently I’m getting great broadband speed, but I don’t think the Wi-Fi router can handle that many devices as whenever I’m streaming TV it constantly buffers. I’ve tried all of the recommendations Vodafone have for improving the situation and none work. Even ended up connecting the TV by the ethernet cable and still have problems. I Don’t think the router can handle that many devices compared with the one from BT which was fine. Wish I hadn’t switched to Vodafone.

Advertise in the 60+ MBS range, can only provide 8mbs.
Random drop offs very common. Since they refuse to acknowledge there's a problem it must be business as usual for them to provide such **** service.
Do NOT buy from Vodafone. Any money saved will be paid back in absolute frustration

Line slow and dropping. i.e. Was a ping of 14ms and speed of 60 meg. Now a ping of 30ms and a speed of 35meg
Used the vodaphone diagnostics tool which diagnosed a problem.
Received a phone call from an 'engineer'who said my problem would be solved by pugging directly into the bt socket faceplate.
Told him I'd done that three days ago.
He then replied my speed was not below the minimum contract so they would do nothing but to ring them if I was still having problems.
So they rang me because they knew there was a problem and because it wasn't an easy fix they will do nothing.

Where to start ! Hours waisted trying to get a straight answer from Vodaphone. We changed to their fibre package, today the openreach connected us took out old copper cable did checks and said e would be activated in a few hours. When this did not happen contacted Vodaphone iniatially they said there was a fault on the line and blamed openreach, I asked for details on when this fault was reported but none were forthcoming, then I was told cables may need still to be pulled through, I explained this also had been done. Eventually the only firm response was that I should humbly wait till 8 September when Vodaphone can activate me, today is the 3rd so five days without landline, or internet !!! Why they booked an engineer in to do the work and disconnect my old internet 5 days before new hub is activated I do not know. So frustrated and we have not even gone live yet!!!

I joined Vodafone on their superfast 2. I wasn't even hitting the speeds of superfast 1 package so i contacted them and they said it would automatically change to superfast 1 if my speeds weren't being met. It never did change and I was paying alot more for superfast 2.
I saw my contract out with lots of connectivity problems to which they only offered me £5 off my bill and never sent anyone out to look at the broadband no effort at all to try and fix the problem.
I am with Vodafone with my mobile too and I'm usually happy with them ad I've been with them for my mobile for 13 years, Pay as you go and contract.
Finally left Vodafone broadband and joined EE broadband. Since we communicated about the fault with the Internet 2 months into the contract, we've had big bill reductions, 5 engineers out, 1 here most of the day (in the house and outside box) they are determined to fix any fault.
Obviously because I now know the service I deserve I wouldn't go back to Vodafone for broadband. Seems they only care that the bill is paid. I feel they owe me money for charging me what they did for very poor service.

They give you a 15% discount on your bill if they do not meet the minimum guaranteed speeds. We've had this discount every month since activation. Connection drops out atleast 3 times an hour from 1pm - 10am. We pay for 75 down and get 35 max. The downtime, drop outs & the useless customer service have ensured I never come back to this company.

For the first 18months brilliant, recently shocking, router drops out 7times a day, Vodafone are refusing to replace the router, they have done line checks and say the line is fine. They wont let me buy a new router and on board it. So I have been left with poor internet throughout the house. Leaving to go to Sky and now Vodafone are trying to charge me for leaving a sub par service

Dealing with Vodafone today and all last week has been the worst experience of gross lies, incompetence and buck passing I have ever witnessed. Staff tell you different stories, change the excuses, give you wrong advice and basically treat you with contempt. Emily even told me If I didn't quieten down she would hang up on me...She can treat me like dirt but I can't complain to her about her disgraceful organisation. Many if the folk I spoke to were foreign and one man told me I might not have understood what I was being told by his fellow worker....Vodafone should hang their heads in shame...absolutely shocking crowd to deal with....

VF were great when I first moved to them; then came the random 'drop-offs'. Didn't realise price would rise by £5 at end of contract (also coincided with a dramatic reduction in broadband speed).
In all honesty, I think a snail is quicker (just checked speed & it is 4.67mbps) - it's a joke at £34.95 a month.
Currently looking for a new ISP.
