    Three have been double charging me for my broadband since June 2020. I have reported this for months without any response. Save your money and go with a reputable company for your broadband.

    So, I decided to try a 3 mobile broadband. This is a nightmare. Believe me. Just avoid it. Even if you have a good speed, the ping and packet loss are insane. Sometimes my ping goes to 1500ms and the packet loss is always more than 5%. It’s impossible to play video games. And there is no chance you can stream. Unfortunately I have a 24 months contract, but right now I’m considering to cancel my contract and get a proper internet. Getting a 3 mobile broadband was the worst decision in my life. You pay for something you don’t actually have. This internet is extremely unstable. Don’t make my mistake. Get a proper internet even if it’s more expensive

    crap . very bad experience with three. don't sign with them!!! costumers service is based in India, you can't even understand them. after 3 days of internet, they cut me off saying I used too much data which is untrue as it was a 40 Giga contract (which is usable for 32 people) and the bill was outrageous. I always have been under usage with my former providers. i called the customer service a thousand times and they tried to bribe me into giving me Giga.i had enough allowance left, they tried to steal money but saying i run out of it. Shame on three! DON'T sign with them, they are thieves!

    I thought I would give Three broadband a try as our landline broadband contract is nearly due for renewal and we have had several week-long outages due to broken overhead phone lines.

    The kit arrived quickly and was easy to install.

    However the data speeds were very erratic.
    At one point I was seeing 40MB/s+ download and 35MB/s upload speeds with an acceptable 36ms ping. Had the performance kept at this level it would have been brilliant as this outperforms our current FTTC broadband. But the above speeds were very much the exception. Without any change in the router location or obstructions, speeds would drop to less than 3MB/s with pings close to 100ms. Also, the system would not allow my son's XBox to download games or updates, throwing out an error message on every attempt. When I contacted Three technical, the only solution they could come up with was to force the router into 3G mode. At that point data was flowing at a snail's pace and it wasn't even possible to view BBC iPlayer.
    I even tried a quality LTE Mimo external antenna as we are some way from the nearest mast. This did improve signal quality, but the speeds were still all over the place.
    I didn't want to be stuck in a 2 year contract so decided to pull the plug on the trial within the 14 day cancellation window.
    A shame really and perhaps if we were closer to a cell mast, it would have been more reliable. But it wasn't a workable solution for us.
    By the way, I think you only get the 14 day cancellation option if you buy on line. Not from a store. So if you are thinking about Three Broadband, my advice would be to take out the contract on line, then you can test and reject it, if it isn't working to an acceptable level.
    Customer service was OK throughout the whole experience, but at the end of the day the broadband just wasn't reliable or fast enough.

    I regret signing up with 3 mobile. They emphasize that they offer "unlimited broadband" - but what is the point when it is so slow you just give up attempting to use it? I swapped a 3-Mobile SIM for an O2 sim and the time to load the same page on a website went from 17 minutes to 3 seconds. Only use 3-Mobile if you want usable connectivity before 2pm in the day.

    This technology has been over-hyped by slick advertising. Dongles are over-rated and unreliable. The network signal is poor even in urban areas. My dongle frequently fails to connect to the internet.

    3 Mobile have what must be the worst customer service going. When you eventually get through it is very difficult to understand their foreign customer service, they don't acknowledge problems and don't resolve long standing technical issues. We have 3 phones on SIM only Top-Up basis. Initially package prices were very good, but they increase without notice. Also Top-Up is fraught with technical problems whichever way you do it and once you add funds it is frustrating try to buy the correct Add-On package. Lastly why are they unable to generate an historic summary of account transaction and usage? To cap it all recently we have experienced problems with the voice service coverage, internet service still appears OK. In short we will be moving to another provider.

    I went to three for mobile broadband march 2014, everything was fine and i received a good overall speed,

    12 weeks ago i started having problems with the speed, very slow, sometimes near impossible to even get up a text page, used to watch clips from youtube
    but that is near impossible now as it keeps buffering and cutting out

    have rang the three team a few times but they just say that they will perform checks on the local mast and get back to me, there is nothing done at all, they told me to take my dongle into a three store to have it checked, when i took it they said that they could not check it as they do not have laptops in store, i use a desktop so why not check it on the shop computer

    i have been in touch with them again today ( 8 may 2015 )

    lets hope i get better results this time , keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

    Switched from Talktalk landline based broadband to 4g. Speeds were poor but on the whole reliable. Sold a pup by Three with carrot of no landline fees. Speeds are worse and TV streaming is a chore. Customer service is appalling. Now stuck with this shockingly poor company for 24 months. AVOID!

    I have used three mobile broadband for more than 5 years. The broadband has been fine. My issue is not with that. When trying to cancel my contract, I have had to jump through hoops which are just not acceptable. I have spent hours on the app, live chat, email, phone numbers and 'contact us' forms. All getting me nowhere. It's a roundabout of excuses and 'try other' methods...This is massively unfair and looks setup to try and stop anybody from cancelling which is very unethical. I finally got through to somebody who 'understood' my frustrations yet could still not cancel my contract even though that was the department they worked in?! I had to cancel my direct debit as had no other option, now I receive a unpaid bill and the threat of my information passed onto a debt collection agency! After yet more phone calls, just three this time, I spoke to another lady who has said I will have to be charged double the amount that the letter I have just received says??!! This is a joke and feels like a huge scam and disservice to a loyal customer of years. It's even more unreasonable when I have barely even used the service for the last 3 months. Lastly, I have managed to speak to someone who says they will be able to cancel the service but she has to contact another department and will phone me back within 3 working days...So my case is still not resolved. I have even said I am happy to pay the amount for the one month cancellation but think it massively unfair to have to pay an extra month on top of that (is that even legal?). I will certainly not be using three ever again and will be moving my pay as you go service to a rival company asap.

    I had previously been a loyal customer of three; I left them once before (on good terms) only because I found a better deal. So based on my previous good experience of Three I had no hesitation in returning to them. Sadly second time around and the service is dire. I started having problems with my mobile phone (iPhone) very early on in the contract, phone kept freezing and calls kept dropping, texts sending multiple times even though an alert popped up stating message failed to send. I phoned Three Customer Services several times on this issue within the first 12 months; each time they fobbed me off telling me I need to do a factory reset, reboot or install new software. Despite all of this the problems did not go away. My phone contract is now 1yr and 39 days which means that my 1 yr Apple warranty has lapsed but I am still within my 2 year warranty with Three (as I found out today). To rectify the issues which as mentioned have been on-going for the past year; three are now telling me that I need to take my phone to Apple and pay the £300 to have it repaired and only then will they re-imburse me under warranty if the fault is not down to damage. Yet had they dealt with the issue correctly when I first reported it my phone could have been repaired without me incurring any up front costs. My dealings with Three since returning to them has shown Three to be incompetent with poor knowledge, bad record keeping and dire customer care (each phone call taking around an hour of my time). I would not recommend Three to anyone and I will be leaving them never to return as as soon as my contract permits.

    Very slow, signed up for a Three mobile, first month or so I was getting 30mb then it has steadily decreased. I even bought an external antenna for a new router to try and improve reception. At best on an occasional time we can get 17mb now, but usually is around 7 - 9mb with 3mb upload. A computer guy I know said that Three will be just throttling my bandwidth and slowing my speed down. My external antenna faces a mobile tower in direct line of sight, but because Three 'piggy back' off the tower rather than own it, they get limited bandwidth on it as well so all in all it's crock of sh*te.

    I will change to another supplier when the contract ends but I think the UK as a whole just does not have a good enough internet infrastructure for a modern economy.

    Truly shocking. Entered into a 12 month contract and was promised I could use my phone after a couple of days. One week later, I still couldn't use my phone despite numerous promises.

    I took up the offer of phone + european coverage as it fitted my needs. Firstly its not very clear that you have to call 3 customer service to enable "roaming" - and I found out when I travelled over there. After having to call from friends phone (waiting about an hour) at premium rates they assured me that my phone will be enabled between 1-4 hours. Nothing! They didn't even respond to an email I sent later that day threatening to cancel my contract. Upon return to UK you are sent through a maize of telephone options only for you to be told to call back later. I only got listened to when I went through cancellation line! Don't bother with 3, they promise lots and deliver an awful service.

    my story is a tale of two halfs im 12 months into my 15 gig a month contract,i spent the 1st 10 months losing signal unable to download or view video etc,in short it was a disgrace,and i suspect underhanded play to prevent customers using there full allowance,however in the last two months i have had decent service signal and download speeds my sis works for ofcom and has asked me for info,so i will wait and do a proper review in 6 more months to be fair to 3 they do seem to have rectified alot of probs.but you cant advertise 15gig then not have the facilities in place to allow the customer to use it.myself kids and partner are all 3 payasugo phone customers,7 in total spending roughly 350 a month,if 1 goes we all go.

    Several months with their 4G MiFi, the device is located by the window on a high floor in Central London. Average download speed 2 to 3 Mb/s, when it works!
    Often continuous disconnection and reconnection. Very unreliable internet. I suppose their 5G must be similar as it is newest network and they are not able to sort out their 4G. I've got mobile data plan with BT and it has excellent coverage in my home, so it's a Three service issue. I do not recommend it at all.

    Received my three 5g router. Firstly there was no sim card in the package. I was told to get one from my local three mobile store, that was 30 miles away. So wasted 2 hours and £20 of fuel to go get that. set it up and couldn't get a signal. Finally found a spot in house where it Received a signal. Did a speed test and was getting between 0.5mbs to 5mbs ish and less than 1mbs upload. Contacted customer services to basically be told It should be fine and to try everything I already did. I was then told might need an antenna but three won't recommend one let alone supply one. Then was told to just cancel my contract. Customer service although they was polite, clearly didn't care. I then had to waste another hour of my time just to be able to cancel it. Now I'm going to have to waste more time and money going to the post office just to return the router. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DEFINITELY WILL NEVER USE THREE FOR ANYTHING AGAIN.

    Always been a little slow. However now appalling. Speeds if working around 1.5. Virgin on 3 g grinning 5 plus. Complained to 3 shop 3 times over last 6 months. No action taken. Complained December told problem at mast. Promised to be sorted out end February.

    I've been a Three mobile customer for 4 years and for 3 years I used to have unlimited data, this year I went to the shop and the guy told me to change it for 17 G instead keeping the unlimited contract. That's fine! It's cheaper and my average is 12G per month. However since there it becames a nightmare!!! EXTREMELY SLOW internet, internet goes out all the time... so annoying! Another thing on the day that i changed my contract they told me buy this and that and we will give you a £150 voucher for amazon. I was happy with that. £150 voucher who does't like it?? however when i checked it online they say the voucher will be redeemed after first payment (no problem) and then amazon could take 2 to 3 month to send the voucher...this was in August 2016 5 months passed and nothing!!! I wrote a complain to three and they ignored me!!! Very disappointed!!! I pay every month £55 for an useless service!!!!! Can't wait for next August to finish my contract.

    If you are purchasing an Apple iPad do not use a 3 sim for broadband. The iMessage does not interact with it so you cannot access the 3 App to top up or change your contract. The call centre I believe situated in India was unhelpful and were not conversant with the interoperability of Apple and 3.
    If changing tariffs minimum time to wait is 48 hrs for upgrade which if you are short on data you cannot add whilst you wait.
    If you use it for business then that's a nightmare.
    Customer Service cannot help you with the above problem as they cannot add or change data.
    So beware Cheap but cheap brings its on problems.

    This company bought Relish broadband and when I moved house recently I tried to call to cancel the account. I had to call multiple times and wait on hold for over 40 minutes each time, only to be told they couldn't locate my account, despite me giving all the information. They told me to call another number which disconnected no matter what selection I made. I called back. I chatted with advisors online. I called back again. I went to a physical store, where they couldn't do so much as look up my account information. Finally after more than a week of trying to sort it out, I am told I can cancel but I will be charged for an extra month of services, because I didn't cancel one month in advance. What a rip off. Not only that, but the service was unreliable and pages took a long time to load. I liked Relish but Three is a corporate and bureaucratic maze and I can't recommend them to anyone on customer service (or lack thereof) alone.

    I recently took out 12 month contract for 40g of data for £20.00 per.First month my son download some games on to his xbox and the data ran out within 2 days.Second month i allowed him to play on the xbox for 2 hours per day, within 3 days or 6 hours of playing on his xbox it had ran out again!.I contacted THREE, and the adviser told me it very easy to use this amount of data playing for that amount of time on a console like an xbox or ps4.I do not believe that a console like an xbox or ps4 uses that amount of data.I would not recommend THREE to anyone thinking of using THREE's mobile broadband should think long and hard.I will never use THREE again for anything.

    Their broadband service is horrendous! I've been with them a few years now and I average connection speeds of 1-2mbs!
    For a period of 2 months, I actually got speeds of 20-30mbs but that was it!
    Full signal on the router yet I suspect they are throttling the speed.

    Too many users and not enough bandwidth!

    As for their customer service, the worst I've ever experienced. Call centre in India where they haven't a clue and read from a script. They then try selling you even more rubbish when you're not happy with what you currently have! 2 hours, 3 operators and if I'm honest, I could barely understand them!

    I went with 3 as I didn't have to worry about having a landline! Lesson learnt. Once the contract is up, I'll be cancelling and going to a fixed connection.

    I've been with them since they began and their whole service has gotten worse each year.

    I'd think long and hard if you're considering using them for Broadband. They're not a service I would recommend.

    I have had 3 broadband for 14 months now. When it works speed is ok but often get buffering. In the last 3 months there have been 3 significant service failures lasting several days. The last failure ended today after 9 (nine) days of unusable internet. Current speed is half what it was 2 weeks ago.
    Three customer support help desk are hopeless except at giving endless apologies but no action. You can tell buy their tone that they don’t give a damn and are just following a script.

    I have currently raised a formal complaint. Three are wanting to stall this and are declining to respond formally. I intend to end my contract whatever and revert to land fibre.

    I could not recommend this network to anyone unless you have no other options.

    Finally cut ties with Sky after many painful expensive years. Loved the idea of broadband w/o a landline. Never used it otherwise. Really impressed for the first 3mths on 3's pay monthly home broadband deal, just to try it out. Easy setup and great fast reliable streaming at the beginning. Rarely dropped a stream for three months. So we decided to take on a 12mth contract. Another precaution because we didn't want to get 'trapped' in any more long life-sucking contracts. Of course customer service pushed real hard for us to go for a 24mth contract instead. But I stood firm and said "No thanks!". So we stuck with the 12mth one. Well since the contract started, streaming speeds have slowed and become very inconsistent. We counted the stream drop during TV programs at least 10x during one day. That was on every device used at that time with our Huawei 4G Router 3 Pro, supposedly able to handle up to 65 devices at once. We sometimes use up to 4 at the same time. That's it. We even moved the router around and saw some improvement but only for a short while. I have a mobile with 3 and it's signal and stream are much more reliable. Why is that?? I don't hold much hope out for any vast improvement in the coming months and 3's customer service has proved to be frustrating and unhelpful. I wish somehow we could get out of it. Highly unlikely I know. But on the bright side at least it's not for 24mths. We definitely will chose someone else when this nightmare ends. I highly do NOT recommend 3 for home broadband to anybody. There are far more reliable ones out there.

    We have it for a couple of months. It was okay in the first month and now is extremely slow most of the time (downloading 81Mb software update in 10 minutes) and not reliable (sometimes okay but most of the time have to wait ages to load a page) . When we signed up we were told in the shop that if it will be too slow we can end the contract earlier but customer service told me not possible. Last 2 weeks were the worst and I spent numerous hours to get to the customer service by phone and the connection kept breaking. I would not recommend this as a main home broadband, maybe as a back up or when there is no other options.

    Very sad though, used this company for mobile phone for several years but broadband - definitely no!

    I have expected much more from a company such as Three.

    The Three guy at the Chester shop said I should get "tier 1" reception and I should not believe the negative reviews. He was wrong on both accounts.
    The TV that needs only 3mps gives me distorted picture. Even the simple internet browsing takes a long time.

    My advice is only to use them if there are no other options.
    I will be disconnecting the service the minute my cable service is connected.

    Broadband speed is very slow and inconsistent.
    Customer Service have no I sea how to deal with customers.
    Would I recommend Three. HELL NO.

    Since i took a contract of router Huawei E5372 on 4.December 2014 it seemed to me ok until 8.December 2014
    when all 15GB gone.As i tried to resolve that issue and get an answer why is that they told me that i had
    used it all (and other things like pay more on bills and excuses of not getting cancellation) even i explained
    to them that that's not possible as i have been at work until late time but unfortunately with their rude
    attitude as they promised an investigation of what happened until now i haven't heard from them.So in the shortcut
    as Three rejected my cancellation (even it was done after one week) still i have to pay for 2 years contract
    although i'm not using their service as i am scared to do.

    If i could rate half of the star i will do that as i am very disappointed with their behaviour and service

    Avoid Three Broadbad. Located just yards from Blackbur Rovers my top speed is 0.75 MBPS. 3 is the biggest rip off company i the UK

    For seven months had nothing but trouble with three cost me more ln letters and phone calls got nothing back got a phone call couldn't understand man talked sarcastic nothing wrong then box went off altogether had to wait in n all day sent me same box had to change everything still doesn't work I am paying more than any other company anywhere and getting nothing for it please please don't never ever use three

    I've been with 3 for 8 mainly trouble free years, until this year..."Upgrading" work was done on my local mast and now my service is ****... Download as slow as 0.8mbps, upload at 0.03 mbps...easier to put a hysterical emoji and a turd than post those figures. Absolute piss take. To be fair though, the Live Chat handlers are always courteous and try to be helpful, but aren't...
    Do yourself a favour and give them a very, very, very wide berth

    Three mobile broadband service is horrible. Web page takes indefinitely to load. I tried paying my daughter school fee on line this evening, it did not get through because of "frustrating slow speed". I regret that I bought it service.

    Terrible internet provider. Shockingly bad performance and reliability in general. I can barely watch a 32 second video on YouTube these days without it needing to take several minutes to buffer and load.

    Started around a month ago. Until then their service was alright, not great, but alright. However, suddenly my internet has become the most unreliable piece of crap in the world, and Three's customer service is next to useless when it comes to actually telling you why that is; they're pretty useless for most things beyond scripted answers, but at least most are polite.

    I apparently have unlimited data, but you wouldn't know that with how little data they actually afford me. I'm lucky to get 1mpbs anymore.

    i had the broadband with 3 i had so much problem with it. i phone them up and they sand other router out to me in the end and in a couple of days down the line i was getting the some problem again i was getting very annoyed with this. once again i phone them up again and they said to go down to the stores and they will sort it out for me . when i went down to the stores that day the staff in the stores was not much help at all. come back home with the some problem i plug it back again it work for couple of days and than i was having problem again with it. that this time a had it with us. phone them and i said i was not paying anymore for rubbish network so i cancel my phone and broadband. they said it was fee at all. i have got to other provider and i having no problem at all
