Worst internet company ever. Internet speed consistently slow. So slow that you can't have a conversation on Skype even without a video. Useless.

If you have children DO NOT GO WITH EE.

I have had such a nightmare trying to put parental controls on the boardband.

they offer a year's worth of norton protection. which is so stupid and wrong because your in a contact with them for 18 months. after that you have to pay for your own protection.

With norton, you have to spend time downloading norton onto every single device. if teenagers have friends over with mobiles, tablets etc, they will not be protected!

Sky puts a direct block on the router. however, EE does not do this. After calling up 6+ times and evenually getting through to someone who knew what he was kinda doing, we got into the router controls but you can only block keywords.

I am thinking about paying the 220 pound cancellation fee to go with a provider such as sky that does block 18+ sites through the router so everyone going into my home is safe.

Switched from Sky was promised seamless transfer. Sky disconnected at 0430 5th May 2016 - No EE line activated.
Contacted EE Customer Service line faults do not open until 0800 - speaks volumes.

After having trouble with other companies want to share my experience on EE broadband. I have been their customer for around 4 years and have never experienced any problems. Speed was great, customer support was quick and friendly, prices were efficient. Would definitely recommend them.

Absolutely disgusted. I have made a deal on 19/05/2016 for fiber optic broadband and phone line. Phone line swapped from BT to EE on 04/06/2016. Than I was waiting for the broadband. They send an ADSL router but settings were for fiber optic. Than I spend at least two hours every day to call them. explained them about their mistake, took all the apologies possible and than they said it will take 5 working days to have a new router. Finally arrived but surprise: same ADSL router wit the same settings for Fiber Optic broadband . And of course not working on my line as the previous one. So I called them and I have cancelled everything. Few days later a direct debit from my account as payment for the broadband. I called the bang and I asked for an indemnity claim for the full amount.

Disgusted at the speed of my broadband, hardly reaching 0.3mbps. Each time I complained had to go through routines and wait for days to get it working to nearer 5mbps which they are onliged to give just to find that the speed reverts to under 1mbps oin a couple of days. Every time I contacted they were suggesting I should upgrade to fiber optics with additional charge. What is the fuarantee that the speed will be better? They have nothing to offer other than sweet talks when you complain

I was convinced in an EE store to change my home broadband, TV and phone line to EE, it will be cheaper and seamless, I was told.
All the equipment was delivered and I had it all connected, it was a case of unplugging my old equipment and plugging the EE equipment in.
    IT HAS NEVER WORKED
I have spent countless hours on the phone to EE trying to resolve the problem, being told one thing then another, first there was a condition on the line, then they had told me the go live date was wrong – a month later I still have no TV and no broadband.
I tried on a number of occasions to cancel the service but end up having to argue my case with someone who “wants to resolve the issue”.
I have now gone back to BT but have to wait another week to be switched on. I have no idea what will happen then as I’m sure that EE have somehow messed up the line in the switch over.
To add insult to injury EE took £80 out of my bank account today, after another hour long phone call I’m told that these charges are for the broadband and setup fees for a service THAT HAS NEVER WORKED!!
These charges were taken even though there was an £80.45 credit on my account, I’m told that I will have to phone up again when my BT goes live to request a refund.
I can quite honestly say this is the worst experience I have ever had with any company – The people you talk to in the call centres are as helpful as they can be but that is no compensation for the awful, awful service that this company provides.
I have been with EE for many years and we currently have 3 phone contracts with them, I was expecting a good service from them what I got however I got the worst service in history. I have been without broadband or TV for a month now. Everything about this has been a world of pain, inconvenience and cost – I’ve yet to find out how much all these many, many phone call will cost!
    DO NOT GO WITH EE!

The most pathetic broadband ever. I'm so frustrated by the constant disconnections, ruins all my progress. takes hours and I mean literally hours before someone answers the phone if you want to make a complaint. They promise call backs but yet to receive one. Regretting my decision to leave BT.

Have had EE broadband for nearly 2 years now, DSL for the first few months and then Fibre for the last 18 months.

Speed and reliability is excellent. I get the full speed of the 80(76)/20 product and line stability is perfect.

The only fault I've had was an external issue where the voice part of the line stopped working for several weeks, resulting in EE refunding that month and line being fixed within 4 hours.

Hardware is reasonable, although I do use my own wifi repeaters and turn the EE hub wifi off (purely so I can site the wifi signal optimally in the house).

Free Norton 360 (now Internet Security) is a nice bonus too.

No complaints from me at all, and I'd definitely recommend EE for broadband.

I'm disgusted with the service and lack of communication from EE. I would never ever pick them again for a broadband service. Speed is horrible. No more than one person can use the net. Overall utterly disgusting and inexplicably bad service. I'm appalled.

So disappointed with EE broadband. Have been with Sky for years and years and got talked into changing to EE when my mobile contract came up for renewal. So wish I hadn't! Fed up with constantly seeing "no internet connection, no internet connection"
Had to wait weeks for an engineer to come out to tell me that there is nothing wrong, it could be the BT line and if they find no fault I will have to pay. Can't wait for my contract to end!!

At the suggestion of one of their call center employees, I changed from copper to fiber-optic , not knowing you needed to change the router (the employee didn't tell me). When the system went down as they had changed the system I called the tech people in India, who were very good and promised to order a new router, which of course never arrived.
I phoned 5 different call center people over a period of a month asking for a router, it never arrived. On the sixth time I spoke to a lady who reviewed the account and exclaimed that the situation was rubbish, and understood why I was moving to BT.
BT told me when the router was arriving, and when I was going live, both exactly to the date.
To add insult to injury Orange have now taken a month's rental from my bank account even though I've not had broadband from them for nearly 3 months. I've now phoned their center in Dublin twice to get my money back but so far failed at the first hurdle.
Wouldn't touch this lot with a barge pole.

okay if you never need to use customer service...
broadband worked well but would be throttled at timees.

i had an issue and called the customer service which was based in india. only wanted to make a minor change and they were utterly incompetent. Sending from department to department and then in the end saying the classic "our systems are down can you call back"

with so many other companies out there i've decided to just cancel my broadband with EE for one with actual customer service.

I would like to say how disappointed I am with EE.
I have reported faults several times and kept getting fobbed off. On my third call an engineer was booked. I received a text confirmation almost immediately. I was not surprised no one turned up.
You sent me a text survey in which I slated your help desk. You did not respond to it.
As a result I have switched providers.
True to form you have not been in touch once since, you have even cancelled my broadband 3 days before the new one starts!
Rest assured my grievances will be posted on any public media site I can find and will be advising as many people as possible to stay clear of EE.

I tried to sign up to a 12 month mobile deal with EE, however after spending ages filling in the info I was declined for no apparent reason, despite having lived at the same address for 26 years and having good credit and all my details matching up. No problem though, as they declined my business I went with a competitor network.
However, depite EE turning down my application EE continued to run security checks on my bank account and took £2 out of my account which was supposed to have been refunded in days but over a week later still wasnt.
I also received email confirmation thanking me to signing up with EE despite the fact that I hadnt sucessfully signed up so had to ring up their customer service number to check it had not gone though (25p+your normal rate per min unless youre on EE and ring a specific number and obviusly I was not on EE since they declined my application).
The agent confirmed my order had not gone through.
However, the £2 was never refunded, I went in store and they told me to ring up. I was reluctant to spent 25+p per min on what I suspected would be at least a 15 min on hold phonecall as it would cost more to get the £2 back than it was worth. I therefore went to file a complaint uising the form online...but wait! After you fill int he complaint form and hit submit the site just brings to you a blank page Every.Single.Time without fail. So it's coded to NOT allow you to actually submit your complaint. I bet they will soon be boasting about how they get zero complaints on their site....because customers are prevented from submitting them.
Can't get into 'live chat' to speak to someone online because you have to already have an EE account, which I have never had and now never wish to have.
So I thought well I'll try via their ceo email since they have no customer service email I found it posted online.......no response.Emailed 4 times.
Tried their twitter 'help team' I sent them well over 20 tweets at different times of the day over a week, one after the other to try and bring attention to the fact that my issue was not resolved. Could not pm them as they have to 'follow' you. They continued tweeting back to answer praise from other users who had posted to them way after I had but ignored me...EVERY.Single.Time.
So, I never did get my £2 back, and chances are they will continue to try to charge me for a contract that I don't have. It's already cost me a fortune in phonecalls to make sure they hadnt put my order through anyway, their communication and actions were misleading and left me confused as to whether or not it was active, and as I understand it I was definitely declined upon application, it was right there in front of me, and I was never sent the sim card for the plan. So there is absolutely NO reason to take money out of my account for an unsucessful order for a service that I am not getting and was rejected on their end.
Just think, if 10,000 customers place online orders over a few days, EE takes £2 from every single one of those and 'forgets' or 'fails' to refund the £2. They could make a profit just doing that alone. And you can't complain about it because they make sure the complaint form does not work, and if you want to phone up to complain you need to pay between 25-50p per minute plus.
Also, beware of this 6 month 'free' sky sports package, which will continue charging you after the 6 months without warning or notice even if you do not use it and have never asked for it. Disgraceful company with shady practices. I strongly urge you to consider all this before signing up with them because, should you run into a problem, even if by no fault of your own, chances are it's not going to be easily or promptly resolved by them and could well cost you a small fortune.

Have been with Wanadoo/Orange/EE for 23 years but due to their inflexibility and customer satisfaction have cancelled my service. All I wished to do was move house and take my existing broadband arrangement with me but they will not allow me to. Totally dissatisfied. Broadband speed at best has been 764kps.

After many line drops and speeds of only 1.9 I decided to upgrade to fibre. EE twice input the order incorrectly, then after several long calls to them, and 51 days after placing the order they said there were now insufficient lines in my distribution box so they couldn't complete the order, and offered a derisory £10 compensation. Promises that my speed had been increased, it is now down to 1.7 Mbps. Been with them since the days of Wanadoo, but it's bye bye. Oh, and don't bother complaining to their retail director (Dierdre Burns), because she doesn't have the decency to reply.

I am finally free of the worst broadband service which I have been trapped in for a year. Everyday I have had some issue such as no service or at other times watching the waiting icon circling endless. Simply don't sign up to EE. Worst customer service from a bunch of lying/couldn't give a damn staff and frankly EE have stolen my money for a year with no accountability of actually providing the service they claim they will give you. In the end I gave up customer services as who wants to talk to a muppet on a daily basis. Run away and use Talk Talk, BT or Sky where I have never had hardly any issues!!!

Oh dear..I have literally cried my eyes out last night and this evening due to poor connection to my new wireless dongle. I had been with 02 where my dad was paying monthly but decided I should go with EE so got a deal which included the phone too, no issues there. My laptop has taken a beating from my rages of frustration as when there are lights on the dongle there is still NO CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET and it isn't even shown on the list of other wireless in my area. Customer service on the phone did apologise and say Seghill has 'poor service' but I need internet every day for my pointless 5 hours of jobsearching as cannot afford to go to the locla library by bus every day! 02 were actually better and faster than EE and I hope I don't break my laptop in the process but when it doesn't connect even with green lights on it does p*** me off big time as I don't like paying money for unreliable stuff! Hope nobody else has similar issues. Could just be the area I live in. Sigh.

Being in a rural location and not being able to get decent broadband due to the government's slow progress, despite all their promises and claims coupled with the corrupt BT OpenReach monopoly we opted for a 4G home router from EE. What a terrible mistake - speeds were slightly improved from the BT copper wire that we suffer but for the last 2 months has slowed down for no reason to a point that it's unusable. As mentioned by others you get the dumb questions and the "can you restart the router'. Why do these companies employ monkeys on their support desks that seem to know less that the average user these days. Awful service, awful broadband - just simply awful. Avoid EE at all costs. EE were awful before they became part of BT but now they're part of possibly the worst corporation on the planet there's no hope.

Good at the moment to make you sign for a new contract or tell you how many star they want you to give them .. Bad at giving what you are paying for.

Shocking customer service! I thought that "have you tried switching it on etc......" was only said on The It Crowd! The bb speed is awful and keeps dropping out. My landline went down and they said that they couldn't check why as their systems were down. Funnily, after threatening to move provider, my landline magically started working. Broadband still down, however. Now can't get through due to high customer demand. It must be a fault at their end!

This is by far the worst broadband provider I have ever used.

I was told by email and text that 'Everything was good to go' and that I would be connected on a certain day. This never happened. So, of course, I phoned EE to find out why I was not connected and I was told that an engineer had to make some adjustments the next day. No one from EE had called to let me know this, no text or email.

So I have had the broadband for a 6 weeks now and it has finally ground to a halt. Download speeds of 1.8mbs being the norm, while I am promised a minimum of 17mbs.

Several calls from someone, obviously not in this country, have proved pointless. I am going to switch providers even though I am 'tied' to an 18 month contract. They can take me to court if they wish as they are not providing the service the promised.

Truly pathetic company, promised everything, delivered nothing.

Thought I would add a decent review to counter balance the negative. I was offered to upgrade from broadband to fibre broadband. Negotiated a decent deal (comparatively), £30 for 12 months then £39 for 6 months for 38mb unlimited and anytime calls. The router arrived in three days. I was expecting some engineer to fit it but when my internet shut down last night I simply plugged in the new router and in about 10minutes I was up and running again. At which point I got an email telling me I had moved over to the new plan. Might have been better to send me the email before they switched me over !! Otherwise so far so good.

An absolute con. If you are reading this, heed my warning. EE broadband could be the slowest most unstable connection I have ever had since the good old dial up days.

My girlfriend was targeted whilst walking through a market place by an EE rep who was situated at one of their promo stands. Not knowing much about tech or how the internet actually works, they told her how our current provider (sky) would ‘slow’ you down at peak times. Please bear in mind that we never had an issue with sky broadband, ever! She was told that EE was cheaper, faster and more reliable with no slowdowns at peak periods.

I was blissfully unaware that she was changing providers as I was planning to move in 2 weeks later. I am a gamer, so the internet is massively important to me. From day one, it was been consistently terrible. You can do one thing at once. Either play my game, or use the on demand service on our sky box. If we download one TV show from sky that’s it, no phone facebook or anything for the next 20-30 minutes whilst it downloads. Never had this issue with sky.

We contacted them and they said they did a test and ‘fixed’ our line. What a load of rubbish. I asked what they fixed and they just said it was ‘fixed’… It is still terrible and what is worse is the 18 month contract you a tied into. I would give anything to travel back in time and trip the EE rep up before getting to my girlfriend.

I was a customer of Freeserve, which became Wanadoo, which was taken over by Orange and - finally - EE when this took over Orange. My association with EE continued until the end of June 2016, so I think it fair to say that I gave them a chance! I received a discount on the price of our broadband/landline due to the prolonged association with the company; EE are also my mobile phone provider which also meant the cost was slightly cheaper.

Our broadband got progressively slower and slower, until it regularly ground to a complete halt virtually every evening. Numerous calls to customer services were answered by people with a frustratingly poor grasp of English; although they did try to help, nothing they did resulted in a prolonged improvement and I was left with having to unplug the router from the power supply every night to re-boot it - not what anyone wants when they are in the middle of playing a game or downloading a large file, for example.

I gave up a couple of months ago and found another supplier who could offer a better service for about the same price.
