Been with PlusNet for two years and never had a problem. Speed has always been reliable and consistent, never had issues with network dropping or speeds crashing. I'm on a Fibre Extra Unlimited and I'm always getting 60+ speeds.
I am only one person living in a one bed flat so that could explain the excellent reliability and speed. No idea how their broadband fares with a full household.
The few people I have had to speak with were super friendly and helpful so I would 100% recommend based on my customer service experience.

please do not touch this company with a barge poll. I ordered broadband and telephone service on 26th July. I had to pay for this privilege. 8th August this was meant to go live. The router was only dispatched Thursday. I still haven't received it. I spoke to the supervisor and he said he would order me another one someone has checked the notes and it hasn't been done. 12th August I still haven't received and they just don't care

I suspect many of the recent 1 star are fakes, someone trying to reduce plus net rating. I have no problems with plus net, other than being put in a queue for customer support. Speed is good, never drops below 70Mb/s. Very few drop outs (I can't remember one since BT (or whatever they are called now) fixed a fault on the line about 3 years ago. I have been with pmus net for at least 15 years and can not see me changing ant time soon.

Really fed up,moved house 4 months ago, internet has never been right since. Don't want to call & go through the same routines each time, speed is nowhere near that promised. I stream a lot, like most people now but this internet is so unreliable. Can't even do there on line chat as they say they are always busy. Stay away from these.

Have to restart the router daily as our wifi drops daily. It's getting ridiculous. Online forums all say the same thing about wifi dropping and whilst they pretend to fix it, nothing is done. Tried to call Plusnet and after 3min of robot twice it cut me off. Don't bother with them, useless company, useless internet connection.

Worst Customer service "In The World".
Took 2 days and about 5 phone calls to finaly get broadband working, it only needed 1 word in router setup changed, then was told there Maybe a fault on my line, wasn't there with all other providers before Plusnet, and they would have to send out an engineer even though a Open Reach engineer had been in my house and tested my line 2bdays before this but if was informed that if NO fault was found I would have to pay for engineer event hough it was Plusnet telling I had a fault?
After complaining I was offered chance to cancel my Plusnet contract witch I didn't but they failed to inform me that buying doing this they would cancel my phone line immediately and I would lose the home telephone number we have had for the past 26yrs.
Its 8 days later today and I'm still having to chase them up for the £215.00 line rental money I paid up front.
STAY AWAY FROM PLUSNET!

Awful company. Unreliable connection, cutting off frequently in early months then got slower by the month. Took a week to get through on the phone to miserable rude staff. No interest in helping whatsoever. Avoid.

Awful, Constant drop outs even though blue light on router. Speed fluctuates speeds and then to top this off I received an email about a failed direct debit email and they placed restrictions on my account the very same day!!! I have never had this with any company .

Gave plus net the benefit of the doubt because it was cheap, can see why it's cheap now. I've waited 2 weeks for installation they couldnt do it on the day, the engineer said another 48 hours and it would be on but it still isn't. I now want to cancel because they haven't fulfilled our contract but will not be able to get my £75 installation fee back for the installation that never happened

The broadband speed is ok until 9pm, and then after that films and phones start freezing as the network slows down or something of which I have no clue and this is just about everynight. The last two times I phoned I was told after they tested the speed that the speed was fine and there was no problem, so WHY does it slow down every night?? I wonder.

My problem with Plusnet is that they have been taken 2 amounts out of my account for over a year now since I changed to fibre optic they admit to this and say they will give me a refund but up to date this has not happened and they are still taking two amounts out of my account I have had numerous waits on phone line and promises but nothing happens and it is still getting taken from my account. I was originally a Vodafone customer and then they sold out to Plusnet originally customer service was good and for a 70 year old lady this was what I liked about them but since changing to fibre optic the whole thing has gone pear shaped. I cant wait until my contract is up to get out. Did I read that they charge you for this surely not. Is this legal to be taking money they are not entitled to from me.

Been with them a year. Goes smoothly. Only use internet and phone. Were helpful when speed went slower than when you made a coffee waiting for system to boot up in the 70s-80s. Phoned. Was told how long I would be kept waiting - long enough to make a coffee of course. They knw of no problem their end, but would stand by to see if my helpful helper found something. He did. Another helpful helper had turned off the automatic update option and I had 66 updates queued up. So it was sorted from my end and I phoned plus net to let them off guard duty. We laughed.

Gone downhill in the last three years or so. Billing issues they cant fix, long waits on the phone, speeds less than promised, over confident customer service lads . Went thru the wi fi dropping out and speeds dropping like a stone . Leaving at the end of my contract , been with them years but had enough.

Surprised speed is so poor and always an excuses. Worse than it was with B.T. wired connection! I believe i have been miss sold fibre as the cable to my house comes over fields, was assured by B.T. and Plusnet it was fibre and the wiring across the fields would not be a problem as would be fibre optic either side! Silly me I'm thinking as I think of the story of the Kings new cloths. Was warned of priority usage, by Plusnet, slow me down to speed up someone else - yep I'm sure it happens!
Save spending out money to leave Plusnet don't go there! Being a pensioner on a low income I can't afford to leave at this time. Rely on broadband as live in rural countryside and seldom see anyone, it's contact with friends and family for me! Need shopping on line esp. groceries, it's so disheartening when you try and amend a shopping order and broadband is so slow in the evening when others are doing the same - points to priority use or my being far away from exchange which I was told was no problem with fibre optic connection!
Not a happy bunny wish I had stayed with BT sooner the devil you know!

Started out good but sadly in last two years its gone downhill. 30mins or more to reach on phone. Overpriced. Offering new customers the good deals but old ones can go hang..I am leaving them after over 4 years.

Switched to Plusnet end of July, will be lucky to have internet by the 2nd September.
Had to hold for ages. They blamed the issues on the previous tenants and said there was nothing they could do about the delay. They didn't notify us of or flag up any issue.
I spoke to someone on the online chat who gave me the wrong information, I then spoke to some one on the phone after 40mins of holding (I recommend getting weq4u app of if you have to call plusnet) who said there was nothing they could do.
I had a much better experience with sky.
Avoid Plusnet.

It now takes an average of up to one hour to get through to customer service. I was out of contract with plus net so decided to pay line rental up front and negotiate another contract. Fine , no problem except they are still invoicing me at £45.00 per month. No e mails, just a load of hot air from customer service people promising me a refund. And this is adding another half hour to the phone call. I wish I had never signed up with them again, as I can I’ll afford to keep paying this large amount each month. worse than talk talk service and that is saying something.... I will not be renewing after my year that’s for sure....

Was very happy to sign up with Plusnet as the deal appeared very good for Broadband & landline 17th Jan 2019. Still waiting for connection 6/2/2019. Attempted web chat etc, no joy! PLusnet caption is "WE'L DO YOU PROUD"! Hope so when this Company get around to connecting me & sending me my router.

DO NOT JOIN, Unless you want to waste your time. They didn't bother to send the router to us, which would have meant a loss in service. We contacted them and they couldn't have cared less, all YOU needed to do was offer to cover a new router and a months free and you couldn't even do that. Why? Because you don't care about your customers. Unprofessional, I am glad we cancelled. Well you have lost a 18 month contract with us. BRAVO!!!!

Until now I have always been happy with Plusnet but since I moved from Norwich to Leeds 2 weeks ago their customer service has been appalling as I tried to get the internet connected to my new address. After many phone calls and getting shipped between various departments to no avail I was lucky to get Darren Greenfield in Technical Support who sorted me out efficiently and got my internet connected at last. Unfortunately he seems to be a rare bird amongst a lot of useless incompetents. What a shame.

I have been a PlusNet Customer for years. We've been paying £45 pm for super-speed but it is barely adequate, HD rarely loads on anything. I have queried this several times and on my last call they promised me a new router. 2 months later, still no router. I tried to contact them, the online chat is impossible to join and who wants to wait up to an hour or more on the phone? I've given up. I've wasted so much time and money on a service which is worth more like £9.99 per months. I will just switch. Was really pleased with PN in the early days, but since it's been bought out, it's just like every other large provider, full of promises but rubbish in practice. Might give Zen a go, the Which? gives it a 91% customer satisfaction score whilst the next one down gets 71%.

Honestly the worst company ever I'm surprised they even got 3 stars. I'm not the person to write reviews but this one deserves it. They are disgusting and they false advertise literately everything. I'm telling you buy into it as you will be writing a review just like me saying they've robbed you

Constant problems with dipping connection & speeds. Customer service poor -- long wait times, don't follow through with solutions offered. WORST VALUE FOR MONEY for existing customers. Customer for 5 years paying nearly double compared to what new customers pay & compared to most of their competitors. LOYALTY TO PLUSNET IS AN EXPENSIVE CHOICE. Could've had Zen Internet for the same price who by all accounts deliver on speed & customer service.

Signed up 3 months ago and have not yet received my cashback cheque - have chased on numerous occasions and have spent hours on hold only to be told that 'the cheque is on the way from the third party supplier' but it is yet to materialise! Therefore consider the fact that you may not receive your cashback when working out the annual cost. Broadband is generally reliable however has dropped out and I had to reconnect all of my devices which I have never had with any other provider. Suffice to say I will be changing providers at the end of my contract!

Broadband was ok when connected but we were killed caked out of the internet every time a phone or iPad went on to rest mode so if I was watching a film on the iPad like I often do every time I paused it I cad to the connect to the internet before I could play the movie again. Also there was zero internet service every nite approximately between the hours of 8 and 10 absolutely no good and when I eventually got on the live chat after months of trying plusnets answer was that they don’t guarantee WiFi absolutely bewildered what on earth was I paying for who uses a direct line any more? Anyway they refused to terminate my contract therefore I have been forced to cancel my direct debit with the bank. Waste of time trying to go about things the right way and waste of money on a useless service.

was with them for nearly 5 years and they honestly treated me like crap at the end. on sep 2022 I took out a contract renewal. I showed as 12months or 6 months. I knee I was moving early 2023 so I took 6 months out. when I called in Feb 2023 to cancel my policy I was informed I was due them £170 as I still had a year on my account. I argued against this as I knew I took only 6months. I was called a liar and told this was my problem not theirs. they claim to not do 6 month contracts but then why did it show as that on my app when renewing. no one can answer that. never go with plusnet they are horrible and rip you off.

Broadband is terrible, cuts out all the time, customer service is awful, they say they will ring back, they don't, then send you a video to watch!! Makes no difference, They have ME trying everything to make it work, but nothing...over 12 months if terrible product and service which they still charge me for... The BT sub-station is 10 foot from my property and I am in the same room as the router?? And I am outside using my Tesco mobile to connect to this!!

Meant to go live yesterday with phone & broadband, no router has been sent! Phoned & chased on Sunday to be told there was a system error & for some reason it hadnt been ordered but they had now ordered it & it would be with me within 5 working days but dont worry they would waiver the P&P charge of £6.50, a charge I knew nothing about!! Told them I wasnt paying for downtime too.
So yesterday the phone line went over, oh yes, theyve managed to cock that up too!! They have given me a new number & not taken my old one over, obviously they havent told me my new number otherwise I could of preempted this mess up!! It will now take 14 days to port my number from Sky.
This morning I now receive an email telling me my router is being dispatched today, 2 days after I phoned chasing it!! Luckily for me they are sending it Royal Mail (they cant courier it despite it being their fault!) & we all know how reliable Royal Mail is!!
So thanks to Plus Net I now have no internet & a phone I can only call out on as nobody knows my number to ring me on!!!

Very poor and slow at organising connection.
After being given the option of when I'd like the engineer to install my fibre optic broadband Plusnet then decided to arrange for them to come on a completely different day. I phoned and told them that I was not available on the day they had chosen so I got a new date. The engineers still came on the date that plus net had chosen that I told them I would be unavailable for. I confirmed the agreed date with them that came and went with no engineer and they then gave me another date which I can't do in another two weeks time. This is now over 6 weeks from signing up. Unacceptable!
