router kept slowing down only resolved by resetting. never had the same issue with talk talk. they say must be my house wiring so brought to wall socket that phone line came into house and the same. Then asked me to unscrew this and play with wiring. Which was the same after i did on effect waste ten minutes but talk talk never had me do this. But of course worked great after call just few hours later when the router went wonky again. Think stay away as they are rubbish. Speeds so slow that google took 50 second just to load the google bar to ask questions. Could not watch any movies on now tv as glitched too much unless i reset the router just before watching the film. Never happened with Talk talk. Changing provider but warning others stay away.

I was with EE for nearly a year and a half with no issues. Suddenly I got cut off as BT had 'slammed' the line. When I called EE ( my provider ) I was told that they had it in hand and would get me back online within a day. This didn't happen, phoned again to be told the same story, this happened another two times. Eventually after 2 weeks of having no broadband service provided by EE they eventually gave up and said it was embarrassing but all they could do was start the process from scratch and that it would take an engineer a further 2 weeks to come out. They were apologetic but no compensation was offered and they made no effort what so ever to resolve the situation. I was embarrassed for them.

Moved from sky, they sent an engineer to connect a new line which I didn't need. They changed my phone number, even after I requested to keep the old one. They took 5 weeeks to send me e router, after lying to me that it had been delivered to the wrong address and then that the second attempt had been returned. The manager dealing with my case said she would stay on it and update me every few days until the resolution, she called me back twice then I never heard from her again. My speed was 6.5-7 Mbps for 3 months then dropped to 0.3-0.5 Mbps and when I enquirer they said the line showed 8.5 Mbps although the BT Speed test only showed 2.3 Mbps. I have ego monitor the signal and use an Ethernet cable to try to boost the speed....... I Want Wifi You Numbskull! oh almost forgot they promised me 3 refunds and gave me the wrong amount ( roughly 33% of what was agreed) I am contacting The ombudsman to assess my case for an early cancellation of this deplorable excuse for a service...... I highly Recommend You Avoid This Company For Your Lack Of Broadband!!!
Worse than my old dial up service from 17 years ago......

The speed is good and the box is pretty decent. I prefer that to BT's fibre offering.
That's the end of the good bits. The customer service is shambolically bad. I've been with them for a week now and I've spent over an hour on hold to the customer service line, waiting for an answer, because they've overcharged me by £62.50 on my first bill and because my caller ID has not worked since they took over my line. I am still no closer to having these, I would have thought relatively easily rectified problems fixed despite being promised that it would be. The distinct impression I get is that they really don't care about customer service.

Great service with no issues, plus getting 10gb data booster for my phone since I'm already a t-mobile customer is ace. My fibre from ee has been running fine, most of the bad reviews on here are probably talk talk and sky employees running scared. I would recommend we broadband to anyone especially if they already have a mobile contract with them

EE is even not eligible for 1 star. EE took over orange and destroyed the whole image of orange in my eyes. I am with orange from last 7 years. I moved home and waited for 30 days still not broadband, they booked the engineer and gave me the appointment, no engineer on the appointment day, nobody contacted me. I contacted back to EE, they advised their experts working on it and will contact me in 48 hours, No response after 3 days. I phoned them again another advisor said it will take 10 working days for experts to resolve, After 10 days no response. I phoned back after spending 30 minutes over the phone they advised a manager will phone me back within 48 hours. No manager call after 3 days wait. Now they gave me another engineer appointment after 3 weeks. 49 days wait for a home move. Now opinion is yours, please don't ever join EE. Thanks

I had no problems with the customer service when transferring over form talktalk to EE broadband, except they forgot to inform me when my broadband was ready for use, as they said they would.
The broadband itself is pretty useless and I wish I had just stayed with talktalk. Its ok for general browsing, but even that can be really slow sometimes. Absolutely useless for watching or streaming videos though, its not even worth trying with the amount of buffeting, stops and starts. Overall, I am very disappointed with EE's broadband, not what its made out to be in the slightest.

Absolutely dreadful service. We signed up during an offer for an £75 Amazon voucher that was meant to be paid within 90 days of service which we still have not received. Customer service takes a week or more to reply and the service itself is terrible. Weekends and evenings the internet is incredibly slow and it's constantly cutting out, sometimes even 5 times in one evening. I would not recommend their home phone and broadband to anyone. Why couldn't they put the same quality and effort into this than they do their mobile phone service.

Been with EE from the Freeserve,Wanadoo,Orange days.Never had a problem with my service from day 1.Just upgraded to EE fibre 38mb. got a free router, delivery and connection with 1500 free minutes to mobiles and 01,02,03 numbers and it is costing me £9.50 a month LESS than I was paying for the up to 20mb package. EE rang me out of the blue and offered me this new package and the guy on the phone could not have been more polite and helpful. Everything he said would happen did happen. I just replaced my router with the new brightbox 2 and was instantly back on line with no problems. Consistant speed,no dropouts it is spot on. From the way my upgrade was handled I cannot praise EE enough.

Reviewed EE a short while ago,so just an update.
My service is still absolutely spot on,38 meg,no dropouts,no billing errors. It is perfect. I have the Samknows broadband reporting whitebox and according to my dashboard there is never any reduction in speed at any time,it always shows around 38 meg. For those of you who are not familiar with Samknows, just google it and sign up to the program,it is free.
Again,I cannot fault EE in any way.

Broadband speed got one star just for being connected. Download speed of 0.90 and upload speed of 1.08. Something seriously wrong with this and not at my end. Will be looking around when my contract ends.

Initially my contact was for a complaint relating to one of their authorised online sellers called Metrophone. When I tried contacting them their telephone number was not in use, so I tried cancelling the purchase. Eventually I was in contact with a guy called Daniel in the exec team at EE, and credit where it is due, he was brilliant. I was so impressed I decided to take out my broadband with them, but I told him I had read some bad reviews about waiting time for equipment and connection. He sent me a mobile Internet device with data FREE of charge for the interim peroid. Four months later, Daniel had left the business and EE have used the direct debit set up for my mobile phone and taken £45 for the FREE device (my mobile phone contract was £14 per month)! I struggled to get my money back and I am now in deadlock. The exec team have passed me from pillar to post! One of the team actually made threats towards me, suggesting that if I don't agree to their resolution suggestions, they will revoke the resolution deal from the original complaint back in December! Absolutely appalled at the handling of THEIR mistake! Be warned .... they cannot be trusted with access to your bank account! The bank did get the £45 back, but I would not pay anything by direct debit to this company ever again!

OMG - what a shambles. Dropping connections constantly. 1st and 2nd line tech support mind bogglingly rigid and clearly no-one has looked at the customer journey from the point of view of a person with normal tolerance levels. Hours on the phone helping support try and avoid sending an engineer. Eventual, predictable referral to second line support on a 'we'll call you back'. Never called back. Luckily I have nice neighbours who let me piggy back on their sky connection - which is lucky because I'd got rid of sky TV in favour of Amazon instant and other internet TV- but obviously that all depends on a competent, decent service. EE is not that at all.

EE are liars. they misinformed us about fees. We have sent a letter with our lawyer and they do not answer. they are misinforming to get you to sign a contract with them. they do not answer in their online chat, there is no way to call them directly and in the messenger chat they are just telling that they want to help and actually they are not helping at all

I have been with EE for two years. At first it took them 3 month to install my line and actually got the broadband. When I moved Home I asked them to move my broadband, they told me it would take three weeks. On the day I was supposed to have an active line nothing came up. Ring them, after two days on the phone they told me they moved it to the wrong address (and some poor people lost their connection in the process). They offered me a month free and told me it would be up in two more weeks... I made the mistake of accepting. A week later they come back at me telling me they needed to restart the process and that the line would me operation in an addition 4 four weeks... In the mean time they offered a 3G dongle as a "solution", turn out to be a pay as you go one for which I actually have to pay. I finally resign my contract with them.

If you like nostalgia, go for EE broadband. The connection is so slow, that you think you are stuck in the 90s with a dial up modem. If you want to watch youtube, EE might not be the company for you. The customer service is a farce. You have to explain basic concepts to them when it should be the other way round. At least they have seen IT crowd. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

PLEASE if you are thinking of switching to EE - don't. They are surely the absolutely WORST broadband "provider". My "service" started at 2mb download and stayed that way for 3 days. It then was ok each morning and slid from lunchtime hrough the day back to 2mb each evening. I googled to try and rectify what is a common complaint of their service, but ended up having to call them to investigate. Surprisingly given their size, everything about EE broadband is very, very amateur. You get through to a person in the UK very quickly, but in my experience, technically they are clueless. I spent 2.5hours in a working day, unable to work due to poor internet while I went through 'procedures' with them to check. Nothing changed and the girl (only in the job 1 week) disconnected me after 1.5 hours of fiddling, and didn't call back, and leaving me with no service at all. When I called back I was told they "were under no obiligation to return calls that got disconnected" and that my problem would be escalated to Team 2 (where Kafka is in the corner, taking notes for his novel). Team 2 said "people are not perfect" and that everyone makes mistakes, and then sent me a text saying the problem was under investigation. 7 days later, nothing. I then got sent a bill for £269.01 for leaving the service - which I am still in the cooling off period for. When I called about this, was told that it was "it's not from us it's computer generated, and the computer is not intelligent enough to know you are still in your cooling off period" !.
I switched back to BT - whose administration is awful, but whose broadband service was consistent. EE cling to this idea of a 10 day 'stablisation period' for the service. BT say this is nonsense, the service is established, and that's way you will get. In my case this is true.
The episode has been surreal - I cannot believe a modern company with a large infrastructure can get away with this level of poor service. I cannot imagine they will survive the market except by contractual entrapment.

When it connects the speed is ok but it constantly drops out, I was with EE a couple of years ago without any problems then I moved to Sky, again without any problems but since I've moved back to EE its been terrible, every 5 to 10 minutes I have to reconnect. Reconnecting itself can take a few minutes before it allows you to, the end of my contract cant come quick enough.

An embarrassment to broadband and a terrible service from start to finish.
Connection was poor and constantly interrupted, and extremely slow in the evenings. After many complaints and days off work (unpaid) waiting for technicians, my issue was still not resolved. I quit EE early and went to an alternative who fixed the connection issue immediately. Furthermore, I after refusing to pay EE due to the poor service (why pay for something you didn't get?), my account was sent to a debt collection agency. I overpaid them by accident, by £23.50. This amount was sent back to EE - nearly a year later after many broken promises on their behalf and many more calls to EE from me I am still waiting for this money back from them, and they also insist that it is only £18.00.

Very poor service. First joined EE in March 2016, broadband was slow but we stuck with them. Moved house on 8th October 2016 and put in for the house move. EE stated this wasn't a problem and an engineer would be out on the 1st November to set up a new line. Waited in all day on the 1st nobody turned up. Rang EE and they stated a problem with BT and an engineer no longer needed to come to our property, but the line would be up and running by midnight the following Tuesday and we would also be given the 2 months free that we missed. Tuesday midnight came, no broadband. Called EE again and was given another date for the broadband to go live and that never happened. Finally we was given today's date tuesday 15th November for a BT engineer to come to our property to fit the line (baring in mind, this apparently was no longer necessary) anyway he arrived, expecting to be fixing a faulty line which should have been a 10 minute job when in fact a new line needed fitting due to a home move. So the 10 minute job he expected turned into a 2 hour job. (The BT engineer shown me the job he had been given for our property on his mobile and it was in fact 'a faulty line') he did the job anyway and after a brilliant job managed to get our phone line working, but no broadband. We made a call to EE to request they now make our broadband live since we have a fully working phone line. And they decide to tell us now after 6 weeks that we can't in fact get fibre broadband in our property due to there being no spaces in the green cabinet! Also the 2 month free that we was supposedly getting was infact a lie, as during a home move you dont get billed for the time you are without broadband. Safe to say we terminated our EE contract and are now looking elsewhere for broadband. Massive thank you to Neil from BT open reach though who did a fantastic job and got the line up and running.

Pitiful clowns providing a truly woeful service. Their technical helpline is welded to their own script and reaches new lows in unhelpfulness. My supposed 18mbs connection is more often around 1.9mbs. Recommend carrier pigeons instead.

Speed is terrible atm, very hit and miss and constant dragging, freezing and crashing from eight o' clock at night onwards, after a smooth period of no problems for over a year. It costs a small fortune as well. I'd leave but have read so many horror stories about how complicated switching is and how mafia-esque phone companies can get about it. I haven't used EE customer services so cannot comment on that (I just put 3/5 because it's midway/neutral) but the service overall is unreliable and frustrating.

As an EE mobile customer, I couldn’t fault them one bit. Seemed like I was onto a good deal with their broadband because of being a Mobile customer, Turns our I was massively mistaken! I live alone so I am the only person online most of the time, yet struggle to hit 14mb/s download speed. I usually play Xbox online, and the internet is so unreliable that I struggle big time. On top of it all, my router decides, as and when it likes, that it’s going to reboot itself. No reason or warning. Definitely won’t be renewing my contract with them, and would never recommend anyone else get their broadband either.

We joined EE, when it was Orange. Straight away we had issues, contacting the tech team was a pain, and constant disconnections during phone calls. Having to ring again, and go through all the information, explaining the issue over and over. No one would admit there was a problem.
Eventually we gave up as we thought we were "stuck" and we had a newborn baby by this time. So we rarely used the net. But when we came to renew, we were informed fibre was amazing. And it would FIX all our problems, and that if I rang this number I can talk to people who were able to deal with it all better than before.
Stupidly stayed! (We did have a newborn...) Problems persisted. We were continuously disconnected, Tried emailing, complaining, ringing. Got no where!
One guy told me to ring BT to get them to sort it, when I was with EE?! BT were as baffled as I was when I rang.
I sent 5 complaints to them, only 2 were responded with "Ring this number to sort this issue" Which I did, and got no where. They refused to admit there was a problem, and when they did admit there was a problem, they never rang back when promised.
Worst service ever!
Seriously! I was on the phone 2-4 times a week for a month, trying to sort this. and emailing during that time and afterwards. Gave up ! And hope my time with them will end soon!

We’ve been waiting for the broadband to be connected since the end of August. After numerous calls, engineer appointments that never happened, it was raised to the head office after an official complaint was sent to EE. I had a call back today (7th week since we ordered it) to be told that this order is not going through because it got stuck SOMEWHERE and needs to be cancelled and that the new order will be placed today, HOPEFULLY connected in 2 weeks.. Team on the phone is well trained to sound nice, just about it. I wish I came across these reviews before..
