This is the worst company in the world. i went with ee thinking i was getting away from what i though was the worlds worst company talk talk but as bad as they are ee make them seem perfect. only been with ee for about 3/4 months and had to raise a numver of complaints due to incorrect billing and customer service and moved home and took them with me due to refusing to pay cbf and they have just told me i will not be getting any broadband service untill the 15th of jan due to it being fiber and they can not put me on adsl untill then yet im paying for a service i cant use what a joke can not wait untill they put up the prices so i can leave this scam of a company or hopefully they get shut down first but how unlikely is that? my advise to anyone wanting to join ee is to run as far and as fast away from them they are nothing but theives.

EE, have the most abysmal customer service I have ever dealt with. Each time I phoned them or they contacted me I got a different story. My problem being which story was the truth. I ended up with no telephone service for over a month yet was still charged for it. Know one seemed to know as to why the service wasn't working.

Moved from Sky Broadband due to price increase. Speed dropped from 5+Mbps to under 1Mbps and connection kept dropping. Phoned customer service 4 times regarding this eventually they sent a BT Openreach engineer. Nothing wrong on BT side. It took over a week for EE to do anything. Speed increased to 5+Mbps for about 1 week connection still dropped then speed dropped again. Now 0.9Mbps or less on a good day. Customer service here I come. I was promised a credit on my bill

Thought i woould post because i looked at reviews following initial frustration when i moved to EE and was annoyed with the service. Why then the good ratings. Well perserverance won the day and i have had three providers who were unable to diagnose a simple problem which EE have now fixed and after i perservered.
My speeds were always 1mb or thereby n switched cause EE guaranteed 3MB. AFter switching i was still only getting 1 MB. I contacted EE and had to go through the usual rigmorol of switching off on etc ethernet connection Foreign contact centre, blah blah. Nothing worked. Eventually they diagnosed a noise imbalance and sent out an engineer from BT. He spent about three hours at my house All free and replaced just about everything still no joy. Eventually he went to local exchange and found a "spare" connection which shortened my route to exchange, Voila instant 8MB. Initially when switching everything back on i got 4mb but eventually over a week the line trained up to 8MB nearly 9mb. I also had one other issue with EETV in that the You tube was freezing after say 10 mins. I contacted them and they have informed it is a known issue which they are preparing software upgrade and will be on all boxes remotely over the next three days.
So after three weeks all is well with a little bit of perserverence and some misunderstanding and communication on both parts i couldnt be happier therefore creidt where its due. I realise i might be lucky as i now know that there are several factors to gettting good broadband but as i say credit where its due to EE as they were the only ones to fix a three year issue at my house.

This is not a service it is a shambles. I have been having trouble understanding the support team. I have had the service for 5 days and not been able to access the internet. I have been told 3 different things by 3 different people from the support team. I have to wait 10 days for it to work properly! If I want to cancel I have to pay charges for something I've not had. I am not happy with this service. be warned you can never get through either.

Switched from Plusnet, who of which where fantastic, to see what they where like and I have to say I should have seen some reviews prior to doing so. With Plusnet, whenever I did need to call them, I was greeted politely and felt like I was talking to someone who not only knew what they were doing, but someone who did everything they could to help. I've been with EE for nearly two weeks now and have had to phone many times. Only to find that their customer service are not only rude, but are un helpful aswell. When I phone them I'm expecting them to be able to give me help. Not to sit there mulling in words which slightly sound English. Not being racist or anything but it's awful. The broadband itself is absolutely terrible. I've been using my 4G on my phone whenever I can as it's actually faster and more reliable. EE as a phone proviDer are good but as for their Internet, it's a no no. Should be getting about 20Mgb and I'm just about getting (if lucky) 2-3. And every so often it will just drop out completely. The router they provide is terrible. The signal is very weak when it reaches my room and it's not like it's that far away. Don't even care about the cancellation fee, I'm going back to Plusnet or having a look at SKY or BT. Worst provider I've ever been with.

Switched from Sky to EE Broadband. Easy and simple? Apparently not... 27 days and counting without broadband since the switch day, and many hours on hold wasting time and listening to lies from their tech teams. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Wish I had seen the reviews first!

Terrible terrible broadband. I would only wish this on my worst enemy. Without comparison the worst broadband that I have ever had. This is not the deal that I was promised when I left Sky. A pack of lies. Too slow to do anything with. EE is one rip off company. Forget customer services...they are trained to lie to you.

After 10 years of shoddy speed internet, terrible customer service and average prices I finally decided to call in to get a MAC code.
I spent 55 minutes on the phone to Orange (EE) before they'd agree to let me leave their broadband service. I was put through to their retention department without my permission where I had to say no 5 different times, in 5 different ways to a rude, overselling staff member.
In the end the ONLY thing that stopped her fighting me on my opinion and what I wanted out of MY broad band service was that I told her I don't believe in companies that go "Oh you're leaving? Here's a better service to keep you interested" because I believe it should be the best service you can offer from day 1. That is the ONLY thing that stopped her arguing with me!
Will not even reconsider them if I switch again.

DON'T DO IT - dont be tempted. EE are the worst provider ever and have terrible customer services. you cannot contact them unless you also have a mobile with them. Staff are rude and don't do anything they promise. still spamming me with texts after 18 months despite me asking to opt out through various channels. please chose someone else, litterally anyone else.

Awful service. They jacked up the price within months of my signing a contract and on the occasions when I really needed reliable broadband, it was frustratingly slow and patchy.
Avoid EE broadband!

The customer service is the worst ever! I went to a EE store to cancel my broadband but I was informed that I can only do it calling EE. I called, spoke with a Peter that refused to identify himself saying he doesn't give his surname on the phone! Ended up cancelling the broadbad but got no document proving that i've done it and was informed I would need to pay 29.60£ disconnection fee! EE is very easy when you want to start a contract but so bad when you want to leave that make you never want to come back!

Running SpeedTest.net
Ping = 959ms
DL = 3.84Mbs
UL = 0.47
Typical Ping time for ADSL is 40ms, Fibre 16ms, I can only assume EE are using Pigeons.
The internet is basically unusable. Been looking forward to the contract ending for 10 months, 2 to go!

Wow!! I'm bowled over by the consist bad service I'm receiving, apart from the awful customer service (I am constantly promised agents will ring me back and they never do) I have had 4 engineers out to fix my Internet the 5th is on Tuesday. I am hoping that the supposed "customer care team" will finally resolve the issue,I've had money knocked off my Internet, phone and tablet and I'm still annoyed lol. What is the point in selling a service that clearly doesn't work?

Completely appalling - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR SERVICES
We signed up for the EE Broadband in November 2012, and have NEVER had the service. For the first couple of months customer services kept telling us it was due to a 'tag on the line'. I couldn't get a decent explanation of what this actually was, but kept being assured that it would be sorted in "the next few days". Every time we rang we were on hold for at least 15 minutes before anyone answered, even at 10 o'clock at night. Eventually I spoke to someone in the technical team, who was very apologetic and gave us Feb and March free (as we had been charged for December and January but obviously had not received any service). We were told that the broadband would be working within 7 days. It never happened. Several times we rang to try and sort but after 10 minutes on hold each time we got too frustrated and gave up. We did have a courtesy call at one point, where my partner expressed his frustration at never having had any sort of service - we were told the tag had been taken off and the service should now be working, they would call us back tomorrow after looking into it. Obviously this never happened.
In the end we decided to just let the contract run out (rather than paying cancellation fees and banging our heads against brick walls trying to speak to someone in the evening). However, after our 12 months was up and we thought we were free, we received an email from them a month or so later notifying us of changes to our service - they had re-signed us up!!!!!
Today my partner cancelled all payments to them and spoke to someone in customer services who told him we would have to pay cancellation fees..!
An absolutely awful experience from start to finish, it's a shame I couldn't select 0 stars on this review instead of 1.

I pay £25 per month for max 6 mps download and 0.2 mbp upload. I have had the email removed that was in the initial price. Will move as soon as possible, nothing can be as bad as this.I will not stay with EE at any price now.

Poor really poor left for a reason, wanted to be polite, but after 6 months of buffering paying £50 for a service they could have given to a customer who showed loyalty £21, errm me thinks no and let's get this out there service charges should not be happening, charging your customers for leaving come on ee your bigger than this or are you, are you that desperate for your customers to stay, maybe don't spend all your money on stupid adverts and focus on customers

All is well until the broadband goes OFF.
Then the "getting it fixed" contact to India is just a waste of time - after 3 days you then believe there is a problem - but only after threatening to leave EE then all seems to get fixed quickly. It is an absolute nightmare to A.) find the contact number and get through.
B.) Doing all the silly things with wires filters and screwdrivers - which kill time and NEVER FIX the problem.
C.) Getting through to someone that I can understand and are sympathetic (English).
I will never recommend EE to ANYONE !!!! And this is from a longstanding loyal customer!!

Our experience of EE is dreadful. When we signed up we were given a switchover date of December (before Christmas). Came the day and it was delayed into January but as BT had been given notice, BT stopped our broadband so we were left without broadband despite EE's claim that the switchover can be done seamlessly. When I complained to EE and told them that I relied on the service to access my business emails they told me that to use it for business was illegal and that anyway I would just have to wait 7 / 10 days until they could connect me to EE's broadband. I got on to Ofcom who gave me the number EE's head office and got the switchover sorted with a loss of broadband service for just a couple of days. When we did get connected, the service was so iffy we found it unusable - it was slow, kept cutting out usually when writing emails or preparing messages on Ebay or Facebook so we would loose the messages before they could be sent. I can tell you I was in the doghouse with "her indoors" for changing service provider as she had rad that EE had a very poor reputation. Complained on Facebook and got a response and eventually received an emailed instruction to change settings which worked for a couple of days but back to same shaky connection. I have sent a very frustrating day trying to connect friends and relatives of Facebook but it keeps cutting out. We never had this problem with BT and TalkTalk before that. The other frustrating problem is trying to contact EE and speak to a human being; calls to them can be 20 -30 minutes before you do and even then I can't understand them and they can't understand me. So, if you are tempted by EE's offer just DON'T TAKE IT UP - you'll be sorry if you do. I am. Signed Mr V.

The actual broadband speed and reliability has not been too bad - most probably comparable with many of their competitors.
The customer service however is dreadful at best. Without a shadow of doubt THE WORST company you could ever have to deal with.
You could not pay me to ever deal with this company again, let alone pay for the pleasure!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
Absolute con artists. Have had broadband for 5 months now and it never works. Have had 7 engineers out all of which "lose their notes" or just do nothing in general. And then I'm "accidentally" charged nearly 400 quids worth of engineer visits that I was promised I "wouldn't be charged for". And still no broadband. And they keep saying they'll refund my monthly costs but ONLY when the fault it fixed which by this rate is never. Have never had such shocking service. Leaving asap.

Was completely mis sold by a lady who i was to embarrassed to ask what are you talking about as she spoke so ridiculously fast! I Specifically said I didn't want a higher bill before you know it I had a monthly charge of £10 added on! Customer service is more than awful they don't care about there customers nor want to know the problems you may be having they just put you on hold and cut you off. All in all my experience with EE is horrific.

Wish I'd not switched to ee
broadband. The switch happened, the speed was ok at first, for approx 3 weeks, so too late for the cooling period to terminate contract, funny that?
Down load speed drops to almost zero, so in other words, not fit for purpose.
ee tech team cannot diagnose the cause, so after numerous re sets their end at least 6 or 7, they capitulate as I threaten to leave, they send out open reach engineer, he says its more likely their end equipment at thhe exchange. He goes away then speed drops within 3 days. I call tech team today and I'm told it's an internal fault with the property I liuve in, or in other words the wiring ( I'm not technical at all) ee use in brightbox uses thhe bt landline, and if your main bt phone line box is installed on same wall/ too close to the electrical wiring/fuse box circuit in the property, then the ee brightbox will be compromised on speeds signal thats coming down the landline.
sky doesnt use same system so it doesnt effect the sky broadband speed, just saying.
So tech support gave me 2 options 1st option upgrade to fibre broadband and pay 14.99 a month extraplus 17.40 landline with 18 month contract too or 2nd option to pay for an engineer to move the bt landline phone wiring main box into another room, or in other words pay to move the phone box as far away as possible from any electrical currents as possible.
So if you are ever tempted by a hard sales ee team member sweet talking you into saving a tenner a month, that you'll not experience any hassle or change in your services, don't do it for goodness sake
they want me to pay 109 pounds for the privilege of terminating this mis sold premise contract and that I can't move to another provider for 10 days after paying to leave?? Is this even legal?
ee has issues with their equipment in cases like these, but they never knew that getting into the home broadband market would show this up obviously, they should have stuck to mobile technology, its not always a good thing to diversify is it?
Also I'll be cancelling 3 ee mobile contracts after 10 years over their attitude, all for 100 quid

The many reviewers on here who've given EE zero ratings have it spot on. Useless customer service, don't touch this company with a barge pole. I've had to work hard to get rid of them and will never use them again.
