This service is an absolute joke!
been with this company now for a number of years at the same time as BT.
the internet connection is rubbish, download speed crap. internet cuts out at least 5-10 times a day!
every weekend the internet cuts out and the customer service are not very helpful at all.
I would advise anyone who is looking for a new server not to use these!
    utter joke of a company!
As i write this the internet has cut out twice already!

Transferred phone and BB from TalkTalk to EE. They lost my number and kept lying to me saying the number will be with me soon. After a month and calling half a dozen times, I called my bank and the redirected the direct debit payments to my account.

DONT GO WITH EE!! Period! Their technical support-which you will need - are totally clueless-I figured out how to fix my own internet problem while on line to them as they ?consulted manuals on what to do.They told me my laptop was faulty- absolute rubbish! They might as well say "to repair your broadband you need to go away and eat baked beans on toast!"Total numpties. I went for this contract for the free £100 amazon gift voucher which is coincidentally(?) now due for pay out- now my broadband is awful-I cant use it- and obviously want to go elsewhere-but I will lose my £100 voucher if I do. My advice - Steer cleer of EE.

To all potential browsers or searching for phone/Broadband service, i would advise them to keep away from EE Official Website altogether, even dont try to check if EE is available in your area, they are real crooks.

    My personal expereince :

1.While i was browsing for offers online on various website i came accross EE which seems pretty good
offers online but in reality its quite the opposite.

    2. EE take down ur home/business landline number and someone will come online chat. if u close that chat you will get automatic phone call from sales department and try to convice and sell you the dodgy service.

    3. You will notice the caller is asian, with ENGLISH names lmao worst of all with american accent GEES.

    4. Trick of the trade is they ask you to confirm your telephone no u looking for service to verify the number then they ask you personal details eg ur name, address and bank details. The excuse is this is just to verify that ur the main account holder of the phone line and can make decision :( In reality its quite the opposite. Regardless whether u place an order with EE to provide you the service EE will proceed to take over from your curent service provider. Even its just a qurry :( Well dodgy.

    5. Salesteam and their Managers miss lead the customers, deliberately create fictious email addresses. Theres no official EE email system which can be tracked or checked whether if its official :(

    6. Your 2 weeks cooling period of cancellation starts once you open the mail received for offers available NOT from the they day switch over takes place from you current service provider which takes 20days, even though you may NOT have AGREED to the switch over. Meaning you tied up with their contract even before you had the chance to test their services.

EE customer services will refuse to cancell regardless whether u agreed or not to their service.
Incase of EE Querry i wouuld strongly advise all potential customer to notigy your current service providers Not to let switch over go ahead till thay have agreed with yourself my phone call and email. As EE will proceed with swtchover whether you agreed or not or even it was just querry abt thier products on offers.

The Best rating on anywebsites are mostly done by EE Staff not by actual customers :((

    SO YOU BEEN WARNED

I cant understand how come such companies get away with this, when we have so many agencies in the country to monitor for such scruplious malpractices.

Worst internet provider I have ever used, I deeply regret switching to the orange/ee broadband service 4 months ago. I was using virgin media and when I called tmobile to upgrade my mobile they sold me ee broadband with my mobile upgrade. It took six weeks to get the broadband up and running because they did not install it properly and once it did get up and running I realised that it was very slow cannot watch you tube, itv player etc.. It really is like going back to using a dial up connection that's how bad it is!!!, I have spent probably 5 hours and at least 10 calls to them complaining about the service and billing errors, I have now given up hope of any improvement, every time I call to complain I get put through to an Indian call centre for technical issues and I have been billed incorrectly on a number of occasions for engineer call out fees when no engineers have come to fix a problem, as soon as the 12 month contract is up I will be moving back to virgin media they cost an extra few pounds a month but I suppose you get what you pay for, ee home broadband is awful! And they have an answer for everything I have given up all hope of ever receiving a decent service from them and I don't know how they are allowed to charge whatever they like and take it out of your bank account. Anyway Virgin will receive my recommendations and will use them in future

I made a big mistake in my life to change to EE broadband. I had sky, ,virgin, talktalk and BT never had any probleam. First two days its worked as fiberoptic broadband then its worst worst than normal broadband. I call the customer service and they done all the test and then they arrange for the BT engineer. I waited for first day no one turned up. Call the customer service no sorry nothing they said engineer come on monday. Waited all day no one came. I wanted to cancel and they want me to pay £350. Now I have request all my friends who is with EE . They all came up with lots of complaints. The T-mobile has lost lot of money from lyca mobil and they want to get all the money back from the customers.

AS simple as this... I am trying to upload a 289mb file to google drive. it has taken an a hour and is only at 85% I can't use the internet for anything else, no browsing, facebook or anything else. (forget about watching video). this happens when uploading any large file to any website. It is just terrible.

We have been with ee/orange for about 3 years.

It used to be a good broadband service but since EE took orange over it has deteriorated hugely.
Our internet connection stops working on a regular basis; this has happened about 7 times and we are currently without Internet connection yet again for no apparent reason.
Calling to get it sorted out takes about an hour on the phone each time and they always "run tests" to ascertain the problem. But no one really seems to know what the problem is.
We have now been without Internet connection for 3 days and apparently no-one can sort the problem out today. someone from EE is going to call on Monday (today is sat ) to sort it out.
In addition to regularly losing internet connection, the signal has really deteriorated in power in our home.
I am going to switch to another provider. This service is rubbish.

I literally count down the days until I can change from EE. I went from Sky were I had no problems to EE and all I have is problems. Me and my wife simply use our mobile internet on our phones because it's more reliable and faster. Everything about EE is amateur. I would hate to work for their customer services department. 24/7 complaints. 3 months to go before I switch.. DON'T GO WITH EE.

    AVOID AVOID AVOID.

if there where 0 I will put zero.

Terrible speed , the worst customer service that can not help (monkeys with a script in India). They speed is so bad that VIDEO on demand pauses all the time (didn't have the issue with sky)

Had to buy my own router to overcome issues with VOIP as there router doesn't support it.

It doesn't matter which provider your are with, they are much better. There is no way another ISP in the UK can be worst than EE.

forget the saving is not worth the headache

Yesterday I was looking around to find a new broadband provider and made the terrible mistake of putting my phone number in EEs website broadband checker. I decided against using them as my current provider still offered the best deal and I have only had good customer service (except for the Tech support, which is for another review...). Today I had a call from EE sales from quite possibly the rudest twit I have had the misfortune to talk to for a long time. Not worth going into but he was rude, arrogant and just hung up without so much as a "goodbye" when he realised I wasn't going to buy from him. Can't say how pleased I am I didn't go with them if this is an example of their customer service!

The worst company which I ever dealt with. If you have a problem you need calling, calling and calling..., than asking, asking and asking...., than begging, begging, begging.... and finally you have got NOTHING. Overall: EE service is below ANY standards.

My experience with EE has been so good I feel I have to give it a positive review. The switch over from BT was smooth and easy although there was a slight delay it was all fixed 2 hours after I enquired about it. The major improvements i am seeing however are easy to sum up. I was paying £42 per month for broadband and phone line with BT on getting a new mobile contract and switching my broadband to EE my monthly communications outgoings have in fact dropped by £5 (yes effectively EE paid me to leave BT and gave me a new mobile phone). Not only has the service been infinitely better than BT's and it's a lot cheaper, but also just by changing providers (no change was made to the line) my download speeds have doubled.
    Thanks EE

I switched from a BT service to EE's Home Broadband after seeing a great deal online.

Problem 1 - On my first bill I had been charged £5 more than the price stated in the deal. I had to call and get this fixed. They said this was because I did not have another EE service like mobile, however the original deal stated I did not have to be an EE customer already to get this deal.

Problem 2 - I was also charged P&P of £6 for router, this was not made clear in the original offer. I just paid this anyway as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of explaining this to their customer service folks.

Problem 3 - On 19th & 20th July I had no service - the broadband wouldn't connect. I believe services were down for most of Scotland. No communication from EE online or via social media to explain problem or apologize.

Overall, when the service worked, it has been OK, not any faster than my previous supplier. But the big let down is the reliability and customer service received - It's been totally crap. I will never use EE after this contract is out and I will be telling all my friends and family to avoid them for these reasons!

Just switched my broadband from TalkTalk to EE. My EE broadband was activated today but I still haven't received the router from EE! They claim that it it small enough to fit through a standard letter box and that their courier tried to deliver 3 times - I have a standard letter box and still no router... I called them 3 times and today was told they would post another one next Monday. This means I won't have any internet access for nearly a week... Very disappointed, wish I'd stayed with TalkTalk...

Awful customer service, near impossible to get hold of. In store staff have no technical knowledge and just want to sell. Home broadband is very poor, it can work properly for periods then the speed drops for weeks. I had much better customer service from other providers and most importantly there broadband worked consitently.

Wow. This company are appalling. The internet drops out about 30 times a day. Download speed is less than 1 and often even lower than that. Called the company, Indian call centre, where I guess the people are overworked and underpaid. They're unhelpful, not friendly and they don't know much. Even after we've followed the instructions of the call centre, the internet has not improved. My advce is don't touch this company, if you encounter any problems they don't care and are not interested in helping or improving.

DO NOT GO WITH EE!!! I signed up with EE a few weeks ago as the 2.50 sounded very good and thought I would give it a try an then the problems began. The router never arrived then after that my sky broadband got disconnected so I was left with out broadband, I contacted EE and was told it had not even been dispatched yet! The said if I went an got a new router they will help me set it up and give me some vouchers as to apologise so off I went to get a new router came back contacted them to be told by another member or staff that they do not support 3rd party routers. Everyone I came into contact with was rude unhelpful and didn't seem to know what they was going on about. DO NOT DO IT!

Great speeds so far. Customer service is an absolute joke. They overcharged me by £7.50 per month and then I had to prove that they had done so. I could not email any evidence to them as they cannot accept emails. I had to post this to them. Still waiting to hear back from them. I wish I had read the reviews first.

EE consistently keeps dropping and loosing wifi connection. I bought a smart tv few months ago and only used it once to watch catch up because it's persistently goes off and looses the programme. I also watched Netflix and it's impossible to watch a movie. After 5pm their download speed drops to almost nothing - they do advertise that they drop download speed but I didn't think it would be this bad ie difficult to watch a YouTube clip.
My router is in my lounge..I loose wifi in my bathroom (8meter away) and loose wifi in my bedroom(15 meter away).. I had to buy another router for upstairs. It ain't the area I love in because all internet providers I've had in the past have been fine in every room. It's basically EE's connection. I've called them a few times but given up as I keep hearing the same answers. Basically I'm stuck with this horrendous service!

I changed to EE from Sky for my broadband & home phone as they said I would get as good speeds MBA/ sec as receiving with sky and I got a good deal on the pricing with an Amazon voucher after 3 months and paying 12 month line rental upfront.
First problem was never advised by email when I was due to change just lost connection.
The connection speeds are very slow
Landline went off, rang customer services and gave them my number and they said nothing wrong with line and asked me to check the phone was working, after a bit of delving I find they have changed my landline number!!!!!!
Ring back and advised they do this when taking over from sky & talk talk but they can get my number back in 24 hours.
Totally regret moving and am considering trying to cancel contract I've only been with them for 5 days and don't pay my 12 month upfront line rental till my first bill, so hope I can.

Changed from BT infinity to EE 38mb deal. Change over took for ever, over charged on my first bill. My speed dropped and TV streaming was just useless and not worth watching. Email system provided is the pits, just use google it's better. Customer service just full of people who know nothing. My connection speed got progressively slower as time went on and dropped to 25mbps at the router despite my line being good for 40mbps. Reason being EE had capped my service and this was confirmed by a BT engineer who tested my system. That was the last I heard from EE customer service after I gave them a mouth full for cheating me, if they cap it again I will cancel my DD with them. If your with EE check your connection speed regularly on your router stats page, you may be getting less than your paying for.

Two months without reliable connection. Was told same answer over and over again but no action. Rude customer services staff who cut me off a few times. I would not go with this provider. There is no value for money. Worst mistake of my broadband life. Indeed not all broadband providers are created equal. Run for your sanity.

When moved from BT to EE (worst mistake ever made) problems since day one of order. Product misold to me and they didn't even acknowledge it until after the product was "live". ONce contract was finished, called to cancel my phone and broadband and was told there would be a £30 charge to "remove tags from my line" which there were none as i have now switched back to BT without a MAC code as no tags are present. Broadband speeds were terrible, cant even watch youtube clips without buffering. and i live less than 200 metres formt he exchange where i should be gettign the max speed (According to them). numerous phone calls just to be told that my speed was in the acceptable range and they cant do anything. Staff don't know what they are doing.

Unfortunately, I can't give negative scores for anything, but if I could, it would be negative infinity for every rating. Calling the service EE provides "broadband" is a joke, as it hardly qualifies as any internet connection at all, let alone a high-speed or high-bandwidth one. I received faster, more reliable downloads on my old 14.4kbs modem, even when it wasn't plugged in. Perhaps shovelling this garbage into their customers faces is some brain-dead scheme by EE execs to encourage take-up of their fibre package, but in reality all it does is make people curse their name and write reviews like this. Great work, you modern-day Einsteins.

If you're reading this, and you work for EE, why do you continue to work for such a company? Do you hate yourself? Do you hate everyone else? You are literally contributing to the general misery of humanity, and not even in an interesting or devious way, just in a lame and pathetic way, by wasting hours and days of your life working for a terrible company. Have a shred of self respect and resign. Even if you end up begging for change on the streets, you'll still be contributing more to society.

In conclusion, some things more pleasant than using EE broadband: Getting your face vigorously massaged with a cheese grater, eating and excreting an entire beachful of sand, exploring an electricity substation using only your tongue, punching a wall made of razor blades, drinking a bathtub of dog saliva, having bleach poured into your eyes, swallowing a live cat, etc.

Appalling customer service. I would not use EE again. I took advice well in advance of moving house about the options of transferring the service to my new address, transferring my current service back to my landlady and setting up fibre in my new house. Every piece of information I was given by phone was incorrect. This included how to transfer an account into a new name, the notice period required (I was told none several times but have now been charged both for 14 days and a disconnection fee). New contract was mis-sold both by price and coercion (customer service agent lied about price plan changes that were due the following day). When I finally cancelled everything and made a complaint the customer service team could be heard heckling and whooping in the background. Completely unethical business with no interest in customer satisfaction. Also takes 20 minutes to get through by phone and several of their advertised numbers are routinely cut off once you've got through if they are busy.

Don't waster your time with EE. After limping along with a speed of 0.2, I resorted to phoning the Helpline three times. Three times I was cut off after spending nearly an hour each time going through all the same points. They agreed the speed was slow but did nothing to help. I couldn't face anymore non Helplines so have now ditched EE & changed provider. Very happy now!

Product/cost: EE Broadband unlimited with anytime national, international and mobile calls, line rental advance / £22 pm (1st 3m £5 off)

Firstly, I do not work for EE. I have read many EE reviews here after I switched. I don't need mega broadband for P2P or gaming, just for email and catch up TV and I am happy so far with what I have bought. The switch was handled smoothly and was on time.

I moved from legacy Talk Talk with free broadband several weeks ago and have cut costs by a third - even over free broadband - as basically all calls are inclusive and as my wife lives on the 'phone and her parents live abroad, that's essential.

The router setup is plug it in and that's it. Set up Airport with details provided on a handy plastic card and working straight away. It hasn't dropped once and connection uptime is continuous, unlike the Talk Talk dropping every hour annoyance.

Speedtest increased from 1.89 Mb/s to 3.80+ Mb/s. Best though, the choking or traffic shaping that rendered the internet and especially BBC iPlayer unusable has gone. Streaming is continuos without re-buffering and two laptops can stream catchup reducing arguments.

I haven't needed to call customer services to complain about anything so far, though they called us to see if we were satisfied. If I ever have a problem with customer services I will complain in the EE shop with a raised voice on a busy Saturday morning.

All in all I am happy with this product and with the service that was and is provided. I have no reason not to recommend this.

it is total rubbish, i made the mistake of switching to EE from BT, biggest mistake ever, i went from 37mb download speed and 12mb upload speed to 1.3mb upload speed and 0.78mb!! speed, it is total rubbish, i shouldn't be surprised though they are just as bad with their mobile networking switching back to BT ASAP

I have been very impressed by the product offered. The speed is above average compared to last provider. Customer service has been first class and I find it very difficult to find fault.

Rubbish phone, broadband and customer service! The 'help' desk just asked me to remove the front of the white plastic BT phone box and when I removed it I noticed a wire was loose. I was then informed they would charge me £60 for any broken wiring etc!! I said "you told me to do it! I'm not paying anything - I'll cancel the direct debit and you can sue me" at which point I was told I wouldn't have to pay anything! Classic. All in all, I've been with EE broadband for almost 7 months and can say that they're actually worse than Tiscali (which I never thought could be possible) with the worst broadband I have ever experienced - I've been without the internet for all last night and it's been intermittent this morning. It's not the first time it's happened either. Don't bother with EE and going for the cheap option, I will go straight back to Sky in January and return to a service that never failed once.

I've had internet at crappy hotels better than this :l They wont even help fix it, they tell you it's your fault and tell you to unplug everything and plug it back in. That isn't going to help their problems. Don't bother with them, it's not worth it.
