In May I decided to go to NOW TV from Virgin Media. I made arrangements and was due to be transferred over on 28 May. I was later informed that there was a problem and that there would be a delay (they blamed BT Open Reach!). That was a month ago. 4 further delays later, the changeover still hasn't happened. Virgin Media terminated my service and I've been left without any broadband service. I've spent hours on the phone trying to contact NOWTV. One day last week I phoned them at three o'clock and was told I was in a queue. 35 minutes later the message changed and I was told that the office was now closed and that their opening hours were 9-5 - so why cut me off at 3.40? They sent me an email telling me of yet another delay and said that if I had any questions, to reply to the email. I did this and immediately got a 'failed to deliver'message back. I subsequently tried again on two other computers with the same result. They are impossible to contact. I have asked Virgin media to take me back which they did for a £25 charge. Having spoken to trading standards, I have sent NOW TV a letter withdrawing from the contract and asking for compensation. They are awful - be advised don't use them.

Absolute circus.
They sent contractors to set up my line, only for them to tell me that my house couldn't get broadband atall. (They were wrong!) Customer service then confirmed that my house wasn't set up for it (again wrong). I cancelled the broadband, and then a week later a different engineer turned up out of the blue (without NowTV telling me they'd booked or sent one). This engineer said he could in fact set up my house, and that they'd sent third party contractors to do the work who didn't know what they were doing.
I still haven't received a refund for the 'set up' fee.
-They cant even be bothered to send qualified people to set up your broadband.
- Customer service, you have to spend ages trawling the website to find a number.

Speed and reliability OK, but within a week of starting with NowTV I've been receiving a constant stream of scam calls from "Sky Broadband" (multiple landline numbers but obviously from overseas judging by the accents) claiming that my internet speed is slow and they have to update my router by getting me to download some dodgy software onto my 'phone or PC. Never had the problem with my previous provider - which leads me to question why it started so quickly after the switch? Will persevere but if it doesn't get better soon I'll switch providers.

Broadband speed is patchy at best, it keeps dropping, the router is very poor.
Customer service are polite, mostly, but don't actually help solve problems.
Now keeps removing my payment details, stating they couldn't take a payment (the billing shows as having been paid, despite it not being paid). They blame my bank, my bank has no record of an attempted payment. To resolve this on one occasion I had to provide my card details a total of five times. Def use someone other than Now.
Given that a completely digital service provider can't actually provide a reliable functioning digital payment system to their customers. What value do they really have?

The service provided was generally very good until the contract came to an end...then the problems began. We moved to a new provider who were faster and cheaper but discovered Now Broadband were still charging us despite us emailing them to cancel the standing order. It's almost impossible to speak to a human and their chat bot is designed to drive you insane. Finally we spoke to a very rude customer service guy who said it's their policy to not read emails and they will only take cancelations of contracts on the phone (which they don't answer). Although we had cancelled our standing order they still managed to take money from us and now we are having to make a small claims court application to get our £100+ back. Do not use this company!

Provision over the past year has been very good, with 14mBs download and 1mBs upload on average. Renegotiation of the deal was required as renewal cost was a steep rise. A pity they did not offer their best price in the first place! Your offer was not as good as I negotiated with NOW Broadband. Why is that? Pricing seems a bit of a mystery and your service is not necessarily the best/cheapest.

Ordered a now broadband hub in the 27th of February, I was told my broadband will go live by 9th march which was then changed to the 10th without any notification. I contacted now on the tenth to raise concerns that my broadband was still not live. And they had technical problems with bt openzone to which my internet will be active within 72 working hours. Frustratingly, waited until the 15th march to then see my internet was still not active. I've contacted them today to yet again be told bt are aware and working on resolving the problem and they will have a ANSWER for me by the 23rd of march. Which also means my internet may still be not active.
Very poor customer service having been misguided from the very first phonecall I've had with NOW BROADBAND.
Broadband speed is non existent and doesn't deserve a 1* rating but it's the lowest option available.
Broadband reliability isn't reliable at all as I'm left frustrated and overall I'm very distressed by the whole service.
If you are looking for broadband I'd advise anyone to search elsewhere rather than opt for NOW.

I ordered my broadband end of June to have it ready for the 15th of July but they kept pushing back my installation date without any reason. So no internet for 2 weeks, I then had to switch to BT. Avoid them if you need your broadband quickly

Never received hub, called 1 day before going live, was originally lied to by customer services claiming hub was delivered. Later told by another employee they were running behind on dispatch, could not give me any information about delivery date.
Was still charged bill on day internet was meant to start while still having no hub.

Really bad experience with the customer service. I had a no contract option with them, I explicitly said I wanted to keep the account open due to the no contract option but I'm vacating the property and don't have a move in date for the new property. They mismanaged my account for 9 weeks, keeping the line active despite the property having been let and the new tenants using the line. I've had broken promises to fix the issues, refunds promised that never happened, promises for supervisors to contact me that never happened and customer service staff hang up on me. Appalling service

Awful company - they are basically criminals. Broadband was always slow, didn’t reach certain rooms of the house and frequently cut out. I cancelled after finding a better deal and they still took a full payment from me in the full knowledge I didn’t owe them a penny. I had to call on five separate occasions to get my money back - it took over a month of constant calls, messages and emails to get my refund processed. Stay away from this company, not only will they give you a terrible service - they will openly steal from you.

I have real problems with getting any kind of advertised speed for my Broadband; but now I now have 30+GHz after changing some router options.
The promised speed is 36Mbps and I was getting around 1.9Mbps to my laptop. I spoke to NowTV support and they got a BT engineer out to check the speed for me within 4 days (I called on Friday, he was here Monday). The BT guys check the speed going to the router, and it was 36Mbps as advertised, but the speed quickly dropped off the further I was away from the router... literally in the spare bedroom, around 15 meters, the speed went down to 1.9Mbps. So.... I tried moving the router, that didnn't help much; I tried moving my Laptop, I got around 5-6Mbps now that they are around 5 meters closer. This is obviously really bad for working from home, so I started to investigate the WIFI settings on the router (don't do this if you don't know what your doing...); and I now have 34-35 Mbps after disabling the 2.4GHz connection and only using the 5Ghz connection.
So my conclusion is that the Routers the NowTV use are a bit s**t as they don't handshake to the higher GHz by default; but to the 2.4GHz.
FYI I changed the following options on the router... I take no responsibility if your break anything. Do at your own risk....
In a browser, goto the http://192.168.0.1
The username defaults to admin
The password defaults to nowtv
Goto the Wireless
Goto 2.4 GHz wireless settings
Unchecked...
Enable Wireless Access Point
Enable WPS
Allow Broadcast of Name (SSID)
Synchronise 2.4GHz and 5GHz Settings
MAKE SURE YOU UNCHECK Synchronise 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Settings. If you don't you might end up not being able to connect to your router.
Hit the Apply button. The router will restart the connection, and you can now do a speed test. You may have to check that any old devices can still connect; as not everything will be able to connect using 5Ghz.

Absolutely diabolical. Terrible service, no communication. The left hand doesn't know the right exists.
Seriously don't change to this provider. I feel like I am going to implode and they haven't even set my broadband up yet. I can't begin to explain the problems I've had and we are not even switched yet. I am trying desperately to make sure we don't get switched. Please don't make the same mistake we have. Absolutely awful I waited four weeks for my broadband during that time all I kept getting was messages stating that there was a delay but no explanation of what or why then had an email to say my order had been cancelled! So I called the help line explaining my situation and was hung up on! I've now gone to plus net so far much better customer service... with now all I got was a box put into my house from open reach and that's where it ended.. ive not even had a refund yet of my set up fee!

The cheap router is the worst part of this. Weak and won’t reach through the walls of my house (my previous BT router would). Yes as others have said, they’re cheap for a reason. Owned by Sky as well. Only signed up for 12 months (thank god) so early termination fees aren’t too bad and am having fibre installed in a couple of weeks. After that, rubbish broadband will be a thing of the past. I cannot wait!

Worst WiFi EVER! There is barely any customer support therefore any problems you have are basically impossible to fix. Don’t allow bank card changes! The sad excuse for the chat tool is ridiculous, they don’t help at all. Been charged random amounts constantly £1s and £4 coming out all the time. The broadband will just go down for a hours, which is an inconvenience!

Worst broadband experience all round.
I went with now TV as the broadband package was the best deal at the time for a respectable speed of 35mbs.
Wi-fi has been intermittent and cuts out randomly crashing computer games and leaving tv shows buffering over the last 9 months. It cannot handle more than one device at a time.
Upon calling NowTV for technical support they said everything was fine with my network and told me to run a diagnostics test on their website but they did not know how I could navigate to it!
Upon asking about cancellation they said I would incur a cancellation fee of £30.
I've had internet with many providers and this has been by far the worst.

No problem with the service for a Fibre Broadband you wont beat this on price. BTW the router for Fibre (Hub 2)is a re-badged sky router and generally acknowledged to be best in the market; oh and if you want to contact them just click on link at bottom of there web page. Like someone said any speed out dropout issues whoever the provider will be down to BT who maintain the line network

Well my activation day was yesterday 26/10/18 and I have no internet connection.
It’s not good start nowbroadband.
Also it’s half term and I’m stuck with 2 kids that are so frustrated that they cannot play there favourite online game fortnite.
Reading other forums I’ve come to realise that I’m not the only new customer to nowbroadband that has no internet on activation day.

Signed up for broadband in 2022 as it was a good offer online. This offer wasnt available in the end as id had to call them to confirm it and the agent put the offer through. I therefore asked them to cancel it within the cancellation which they failed to do. They sent the equipment out anyway but this wasnt received due to my household having COVID. They were aware of this and still didnt cancel. They have been told on more than one occasion they arent providing a service and to stop taking payment but again they didnt. The customer service is non existent, they are useless. I expected they had cancelled after my last correspondance but they didnt and I only realised when they sent me an email informing of price increases (feb 2024). Once again i have asked them to cancel and this time they have acted appropriately or at least say they have, but they are refusing to refund the money for the sercive they havent provided. They have offered a "gesture of good will" which is no where near the amount they have stolen from my account. The email received from the 'manager' was simply incoherent babbling with no meaning, substance or resolution. I will be taking this issue further and luckily the account they had is linked to my credit card and so i will raise a charge back and see if i can get the money back that way. If you are looking for broadband, Tv, or any service, do NOT touch Now!!

Customer service tells me the signal will get better over time... er how? So they have lost any trust.

Please train your call canter staff to stop lying and misleading customers. I have called 4 times over the last 2 weeks and have been reassured that I can both renew my contract and move house seamlessly. Today, after waiting for 1.5 hours on the phone, I got told that I will remain within broadband in my new address for a full week as I need to wait for an engineer - I had called 2 weeks ago to request this and got told that "IT doesn't allow to process the change of address" and to call in 10 days.
Given Now wanted to leave me without broadband for a week, I called them and requested to cancel. I waited 40 minutes again bringing the total phone time to over 2 hours. The advisor initially said that "we cannot cancel the contract because there has been a home move initiated" - this is ridiculous and a lie. After 30 min on the phone with him, just about when he was going to finallise all the cancellations the line conveniently cut off. I called again, and apparently nothing had been processed - again, very bad practice to play tricks like this. When I called the second time, the advisor told me that I will incur cancellation charges if I cancel my contract in an attempt to stop me from doing so - again, this is a lie as I was within my "cooling period" of 14 days.
The above signals either severe incompetence across your customer support staff, or a company culture of deceit. It has and will continue to result in loss of customer goodwill. I would suggest you address this immediately.

Please for the love of god avoid this provider. Since joining in October 2018 the connection has cut of many times. It currently has been off for 2 days and all i get is we can't do anything till an engineer is available. Not just the exuses but imo rude staff on the other end, it felt like I was talking/e mailing to a child. Really wish i didn't rope myself into a 12 month contract. I had no issues with My previous provider regarding connection, I left because they upped the price but if I could go back in time I would of stayed with them. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!

Like others received an email to say am now out of contract and have choices.
One is to continue at current price plus other options that all were dearer.
To stay as is you need to do NOTHING.
Now find this is untrue as you have to call them.
Totally misleading email beware.
Customer service is offshore and poor English speaking.
Will be leaving after this year but will involve lots of work transferring everything over.
Have to say have not had problems with the broadband service reliability
Just the totally misleading email

One problem with using the internet for so much is that it needs to have enough bandwidth for several things at once! So we decided it was time to upgrade the internet. We went onto a popular Meerkat-fronted comparison site and settled on NowTV Broadband. They set a date of 21st May for a switch over.
We realised that, in for a penny in for a pound, it would make sense to upgrade to their super fast broadband. So we called on 15th May, a week after signing up, to ask if we could upgrade to an even faster package. We were told to ring back after the connection went live, to make the change.
The day of the connection change came and went with no switchover. The following morning we called again, to see what was happening. We were informed that it was being dealt with, that the change would happen in the next few hours. We were assured that our current connection wouldn’t be switched until after the new connection was ready.
A few hours later the internet and telephone lines cut out. We installed the new NowTV box and nothing happened.
We called back and were told that there was a problem. We were given no details on when it would be resolved, or what the actual issue was. We were told a manager would call us back at some point. The customer service agent couldn’t say when, simply gave a date 3 days later by which she ‘hoped’ a manager would be able to call us. They said the problem was showing as flagged on their system as being explained to us on 15th May. When asked if they could review the recordings of that call, they said they would not and refused to give them to us but admitted they existed.
We then called our previous provider and asked if there were any problems with them or with Openreach (the vague reasons for the problem we were given). An engineer assured us that there was and should be no problem.
No other contact from NowTV was received. No internet connection came online.
This morning we have called twice and both times have been given different information, which doesn’t match. We have been told that we will be called back multiple times, no calls have been forthcoming. They have refused to confirm these issues. When asked for information on how to check the fault with Openreach we were told to google the number and when it was explained that not having internet made this more difficult and asked for the number we were told that due to GDPR we could not be given a number, despite it being in the public domain.
We asked to make a formal complaint. We were told to go online.
Times are tough and they are obviously working under strain. Technical difficulties happen. The tone and support from NowTV has made it impossible to feel reassured that I will be able to work effectively. They indicate it could be up to 10 days before the fault is corrected. This is despite the two week period between signing up and the connection coming online. It has also been over a week since they claim (erroneously) we were informed.
Looking on NowTV’s own forums reveals that this exact issue has happened countless times before. Each time they have blamed other companies but been ultimately responsible. On occasions it has taken them more than 16 days to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, we are stuck with no broadband, no telephone line, and no clue when we will be able to even know when work can resume.
They have now said that they would escalate the problem to 'Tier 2' and call us within 72 hours. It has been over 100 hours since then. Still not a single call or email. No apology.
I’m not on the frontline but I value my work and I want to look after my clients. In these times isn’t fulfilling internet contracts, or at least being prompt and active in resolving issues, a basic moral duty?

All went well until my going live day...connected everything up correctly, turned on expecting great WiFi and then nothing. Called customer service and was told "oh it can be activated anytime up til m8dnihht" (OK so by then I have lost a days Internet.
Following day (2nd day) expected to turn on and be activated... again nothing. Called technical this time... ran a line check and low and behold finally coverage...well for 2 hours (12-2pm)then nothing.so back on the phone to technical who said engineer will be out to connect in 3-5 days could be sooner, so in thought ok they'll now make it urgent. Next day (3rd day now), still nothing so now cancelled... this lady very helpful then put me through to compensation team...bloke seemed less than enthused and said it'd be fish to open reach if I got any compo. He also said that an engineer had been booked and canceled by me...I'd be that lucky to have actually got a call, email etc.
So in the end I've now gone with Zoom who I booked for tomorrow for an engineer to visit and set up. OK Now broadband are cheap at £22 pm for 63mbs (when I ran a speed test for the 2 hours actually connected I was only getting 20mbs).
Zoom are £30pm (first 3 months £20) for 150+ mbs. So moral of my story is cheaper is not necessarily better.

Very disappointed, as I was shopping around for ages to find an affordable to fast broadband and found NOW. However, it took them nearly 3 weeks to get the 12 month contract started which resulted in lot of extra mobile internet expense and couple days after starting thew contract they don't me they will be raising their prices next month. Had I known that they aren't any cheaper than their competitors but are much slower, I would have never signed up.
