Not fit for purpose, broadband went off on 3 December, was told it was a router fault to get me off the phone, when the new router turned up it didn't work either so the guy was basically guessing/lying,was then told an openreach engineer would be out within 5 working days...it's now the 20th...now been told an engineer will be out in 2 days, will be amazed if this is resolved this year... thought talk talk were bad...do yourself a favour & steer clear

Poor performance . Seems very slow at times. Did a speed test several times, and on average, download speed averages just under 7mbps

Discusting service. I can’t actually believe they haven’t been shut down as a provider. The extreme arrogance not to improve their service after years of constant known issues is astounding! Clearly, they just want to take client’s money and not give anything in return. Anyone that pays for their so called service is just blinding giving their money away to the greedy directors who couldn’t care less for their customers while they enjoy their nice expensive lifestyles. I have wasted so much of my money over the years on Sky, but no more. I’m changing providers and refuse to ever use Sky again. I hope everyone who reads this does the same as you all deserve much better!

I was previously with sky for three and a half years and moved property to a new build. Tried to arrange sky to simply move my existing package from my old address to the new one. Absolute chaos from start to finish, this company do nothing but misled and lie to customers. Two and half months later and I was still waiting for the broadband to installed. I had to listen to every excuse under the sun as to why it couldn't be installed due to cabling issues. This company were clearly happy to charge for service the obviously couldn't provide. The staff are rude and incompetent and no one seems to have a clue what's going on. Eventually I cancelled my order and even that was a complete hassle and nightmare. They never cancelled the contract despite specifically requesting this and furthermore owed me money which I constantly had to chase to get back. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would actively avoid at all costs.

If I could give ZERO star, I will. Customer service advisors are very rude. You will be extremely lucky to come across a polite one. They all need training.
Very impossible to escalate complaints to managers. It's like they are not even there as they are never available. Not surprised.
Promise of call back that never happens.
    Absolutely disgusting company.
I doubt the staff gets continous trainings as they behave and speak with no emphaty, they don't listen, they don't ask the right questions and can't even resolve. They interrupt and peak to you very rudely while hiding behind the phone.
You will feel worse after speaking to them compared to before calling sky.
Customer service is shocking and absolutely rubbish.
All noisy at the background and you will hear them laughing so loud like baberians as well as playing and that makes it difficult to talk or focus on the reason for your call. They speak to you grumpily and sometimes you feel like they have food in their mouth while attending to you.
They are so ignorant that they do not realise that you can still tell they are rubbish even on the phone. They think been on the phone can carmoflag them.
Very rude people and you just wonder how you find yourself doing business with such a disgusting company.

Safe yourself some stress and take your money elsewhere. Your mental health is very important and not worth sky and it's quack customer service.

Absolute joke is the only way to describe it, DO NOT under any circumstances USE SKY AS A BROADBAND SERVER. I'm a university student who needs wifi connection for research and assignments, the Sky broadband is so unreliable its pathetic. My laptop continually disconnects from the wifi during internet use and despite the fact that Sky have visited the house countless times to try and resolve this ongoing issue (which gives us the usage we expect for around a week after the broadband has been 'fixed') then the problem continues to occur on a regular basis. we are switching from Sky and would advise anyone else to do the same!

Absolutely appalling service provider. The internet keeps crashing, pretty much on a daily basis, and once it starts it does it continuously for a few hours. Tried fixing it, went through every step of "self heal"(a completely useless feature), checked every connection and nothing. Can't get in touch with them online at all, the agents are busy 24/7. Due to lack of a phone I had to call them from my mobile and got charged premium rate and they did nothing, said if we don't hear back from them that means they sent an engineer. Never heard back, never saw an engineer, anywhere. Worst provider I have ever had. Just stay away.

Worst connection you can get. Where I am - mcdonalds wifi is more reliable. Constant cut outs, constant connection issues, and let alone their service, right next to the box - I get a maximum of a single bar connection. DO NOT BUY SKY NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS

been on this sky broadband for 4 years and its been the worst service ever. internet gets cut out in the middle of the night for no reason and when my internet stops working it takes them 3-4 weeks sometimes for sky to fix the problem. I requested a home move for 2 weeks advance and asked for my internet to stay on until then. the next day my internet gets cut out. when i phoned about the problem ive been told nothing can be done and the internet wont get turned on. i try to explain that is not what i want or asked for but the rubbish manager that i spoke to said he will look back into the phone and see what was said. but even so what is the point. i wanted to cancel my move with sky and let the contract run out with them which expires next month but they wont even let me do that. managers do not know how to speak to a customer aswell some being very cheeky. in the area i live in no they is no other services thats why we choice and stayed with sky but after today i am happy after 4 years i will be leaving

If i could give a no star rating i would. We have been waiting 5 weeks and 2 days now for our broadband to be installed. We originally signed up on the 30/08/2018 and to this day are still waiting for broadband and phone. I was told today i would get the final update, instead they have said they cant update us now until Monday. Bt have been very helpful and can get here in 2 weeks. We have had word for word the same update since day 1. Very unhelpful and wouldn't recommend their services to anybody. I have written a formal complaint and will be contacting the ombudsman service if i dont get an answer by the end of today when i call them. Bad company.

Slow, and skyshield blocks so much. You can get round it with a VPN, but it's frustrating and expensive to have to put up with. I do not recommend to anyone except overly protective paranoid parents who need to 100% control their childs life.

I’m writing this review to tell you to stay well away from sky WiFi. The shear amount of people writing only negative comments may look absurd but as a sky user myself the negative comments couldn’t be more bang on. I’ve used sky for around 3 years now, I had no problems with it for the first few months and then all of a sudden the promised connection utterly vanished. I have tried contacting customer service about this but all they do is flip it onto you asking wether you have checked your end of it because there’s is ‘prestine’. Overall sky broadband is one of the worst networks for anything you use it for. I do not usually write reviews but I felt as if it was a duty of me to help no one else get scammed as much as I did

Not surprised at all to see pretty much every review less than two stars. Says it all; Sky is most definitely the worst provider that exists. I have never seen such an atrocious provider until I met Sky. Constant slow speeds, constant cuts, internet constantly going down and no updates to identify when it may be back up. As a uni student, considering CVD-19 has limited my time I can spend at libraries, I have no choice but to work from home. But its hard when the one internet provider you thought you could rely on turns out to be an absolute disaster. Switching very soon, and that day will be a saviour to me.

Unbelievably bad. Only been with Sky 6 weeks and I have terminated the service. Not had broadband for a week, engineers supposed to be coming out today between 8 and 10, contacted Sky and after waiting 45 minutes to speak to someone was told the engineer had been cancelled and been booked in for another 8 days time! No explanation, nothing. TalKTalk I’m sorry for leaving you, I’m coming back! Sky is the biggest rip off with the worse customer service, don’t be fooled by the slick advertising, corporate ******** at its very worse. Avoid.

AWFUL SERVICE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE. I'm normally nice but I could honestly kill someone I'm so angry and upset. It's like talking to a brick wall. They also won't accept a hand written signed letter as confirmation of termination so still had to go through it all again 9 months I've tried to cancel

Awful customer service, rude arrogant. Consistent lies, I know about IT and network speeds as I work in the IT industry myself. When reporting issues with speed I was told it is our problem deal with it. complete refusal to do anything, so at the moment we are paying £45 a month for half the speed we should be getting. Soon as contract is up, we will be leaving for another provider. Shockingly bad!!!

Literally the most pathetic excuse for an internet provider you could ever be scammed into a package for. The speed of the internet is entirely unpredictable but nontheless it takes 20 minutes to download 1GB files which is pathetic by today's standards, the connection itself is iffy too, you never know if you'll be able to keep a consistent ping to anything and whether or not you'll be able to watch the minimum acceptable video quality (720p) sometimes it even buffers on 144p. What happened to "no buffering" sky?. virgin media is better in every single way, it is more reliable in terms of the speed of the internet (in my opinion it eclipses the sky packages) only taking an average of 5 minutes to download much bigger files than sky could manage in an hour. all in all, Don't waste your time with sky and find a better provider because it is disgustingly bad.

I can't even give it a one star! Is there a -1 star option available instead? Absolute nightmare! What does SKY stands for- Scammer, KissAss,Yucky! I think that pretty much sums up your company. You have this scammer policy but you kiss ass to customers by telling them how 'amazing' your product is and how they will suit them with a yucky after service. When I wanted to pay, there was no question on customers ID but when I had an issue, you hung up on me
just because I can't remember my ID?! Your manager said you pride yourself in your customer service. I can see why! Being rude and hanging up on customer is definitely more of
a complishment compared to your scammer policy. Before I started with your company, you promised that I will have fixed monthly plan but that did not happened as you then increased it later even though I have paid for twelve month in advance! And on top of then when I made the payment for 12 month in advance you said I don't have to pay anymore! But I was still charged! And finally after that 12 month I was able to break free from this evil curse where I am now able to terminate this contract because apparently I can't terminate whenever I want but you may charged me however you want and just use there is an increase in the rental line. I think they call it a fixed plan whereby its a fixed amount that is taken each time not whenever I feel like increasing the payment I could, especially not after I have made payment for that 12 months in advance, you charge me £27.90! Bravo! You truly are a scumbag! Your evil intentions must be seen through by your current customers and with the amount of negative reviews, your drop
out rates must be more than your sign up rate! Is that the reason why you rob of your customers? I pity you pathetic company!

I never, ever leave reviews. I feel I have to in this case because the service and value for money from Sky is so appalling. Speeds between 1 and 5, nothing wrong with the line, engineers visits etc etc. Luckily, I'm not contracted to them any longer so am switching - I've been with them for 10 years and realistically the service has been poor all that time. More fool me. Very very stressful when trying to work from home. They don't give a fig. Do yourself a favour genuinely, don't go with Sky.

This is absolute garbage! The internet goes off for no reason when I never even touched it I can never play or watch tv or do anything with this stupid broadband! The customer service is absolutely terrible! They never help, all they do is say it’s fine when it’s not and worse is we phoned them up and the man told us the few steps to make it work and then the next day it was worse then before! Want a so called broadband that never goes on and then the costumer service is completely helpless and your stuck with no internet and money for weeks?! Then get sky broadband.

Sky broadband are absolutely useless. It is always loosing the connection most around 4pm onwards and the only way to resolve it is to keep shutting down and restarting which as you can imagine is not always helpful. Trying to contact them and get help is yet another story - they fail to recognise it maybe their fault. Yet I have had another supplier in the past and never experienced this problem. Don't go with them if you want a reliable service

Had sky broadband a few months, totally honest....Wouldn't bother, spend more time on phone to sky because of poor service. Recently sent new hub. No different. You would think how much money goes into sky that they would provide a decent broadband service but no. Looking for a new provider. I would advise other people to do the same. No doubt they will post some bull saying they offer excellent service. Sign up & see for yourself.

attempted to sign up to broadband - there was a problem and after an hour of speaking to their "support" they admitted they couldn't deliver the broadband to my number. But they are switching the line and have accepted the money. I was told I would now have to ring up to cancel. I have been on the phone 3 quarters of an hour being passed around clueless individuals repeatedly giving the same details over and over again only to be cut off before anything gets finalised. I have still not succeeded. They are on target for losing my phone line, taking my money and delivering nothing. And the only help they can offer is to cut me off each time I think i am getting somewhere. It's one of those noghtmares which refuse to end. Stay away. You have been warned. These people have zero respect for their customers

DO NOT USE - Fixed contract, 2 months in, and still they can put the price up after advertising a fixed term price?!? How is this legal? And they aren't signed up to the ombudsman so good luck challenging them. I'd have to buy my way out and probably pay all sorts of fees to change anything. Even if I did want to change I then have to sit on the phone for an hour to talk to someone, sort out ANOTHER contract with someone else. Basically add 20% to the price of any deal when choosing them as they can and will up the price.
