The worst broadband provider. Twice rescheduled our installation without our approval. Non responsive. Customer support unable to help or solve anything.

HOORAY! I'm finally free of Sky! I've nothing good to say about Sky other than I'm so glad I'm out of Contract with them and I ain't EVER going back! They provide an abysmal service which they keep increasing charges for. Anyone who is thinking of subscribing to Sky, do yourself a favour and DON'T! You'll thank me for it. Happy Days it's all over.

After being 15 months a sky customer paying for my landline and broadband connection, after having changed 6 filters and having complained a dozen times for a slow or no internet connection, sky asked me to pay £65 for an engineer visit or free engineer visit but with a new 12 month contract! The worse blackmail I have had during my 57 years of life. What is next?

All icwanted was a quick switch from By to Sky , I was connected after 10 days, very inconvenient, stressful, engineer came out .... I only wanted/needed unlimited sky broadband, as it would/should have been £57.50 a month but I now pay £70-81. With fibre unlimited, t.Only myself uses it so no need for this, am very dissatisfied with how they have treated myself. I have tested the speed a couple of times and its not fast as my By broadband

My experience with Sky has been very good and I am pleased that I switched. I use a basic mobile phone - I am not a fan of mobile phones and what they can do to our brains, so I use it sparingly. I have unlimited landline phone calls instead which works well. I use my router with my computers.
Sky customer service is excellent. Their staff are nice. I had a dreadful time with TalkTalk who gaslighted me throughout my contract so it was a relief to switch to a company that provided me instantly with what I requested, without arguing and lying about a product that did not work and was not fit for purpose. I am referring to the Huawei router that TalkTalk uses which is unreliable rubbish that should have never been sold to customers and I am disgusted and appalled that TalkTalk get away with conning the public on a daily basis with the mind control tactics their time wasting customer service use on customers.
Sky broadband is fast and smooth and I am grateful to have a router that does the job.
My broadband has been consistently good, if it occasionally stops it comes back on again quickly. YouTube live streaming gets delays but not a major issue. I can watch YouTube videos without seeing the service dropping every 3 minutes (time and time again) as it did with TalkTalk and some days there was no service at all. The fast broadband router is great for those with arthritis or problems holding objects, it is light and flat and easy to handle. The gentleman I spoke to at Broadband.co.uk was efficient and very helpful.

Upgraded to Sky Fibre because the normal sky is honestly terrible. Upgraded and all was good for a while but now it is dreadful. Can't do anything and it is impossible to play online games because it constantly disconnects. Don't waste your money, go to BT.

Been with Sky for a year on the back of their £18.99 broadband deals. Router arrived promptly, engineer arrived and installed the line as and when it was advised he would. No issues there.
The router's a bit weak, not giving great signal, and it does drop out a few times here and there but on the whole it's been relatively reliable, if not the fastest - average speeds are around the 5-6mbps mark.
Of course now I want to switch to a cheaper deal I'll have to do battle with the customer service team to actually cancel my contract instead of fobbing me off with trying to get me to stay and pay through the nose for bang-average broadband - can't wait.

The quality of the broadband has definitely deteriorated over the two years I've been with Sky.
My biggest bugbear with them, though, is their customer service. The majority of it seems to be automated these days, and they go out of their way to make changing your package confusing and difficult. I was sent a letter recently telling me I was being moved to a new package - not at my request - that would cost me £4/month extra. I tried to change it back online - completely unclear how to do so, and unclear whether the change is being effected. I did it over the phone, on an automated service, and thankfully held on to the bitter end of the very long, pointless automated message (about 4 mins of waffle) - because, the voice told me, if you didn't hang on and press 1 at the end, the change wouldn't be effected!
Con artists. Check everything really carefully to make sure they don't rip you off through the back door.

This is very bad broadband service anyone can have.
The customer services is really terrible.
They are only interested when they are selling their services and products.
Once you sign the contract they don’t care their customers and their products is working or not.
When you complain instead of helping you they are trying to sell more things.
So you’re always paying them without getting any services.

Do not bothere going through the pain of trying to get this wifi to work as it just won't happen. Sky is so overrated. The connection if horrible, 95% of the time it doesn't give you any connection, my wifi bar is ALWAYS on just 1 bar. No matter whether your stood right next to the sky box or in the next room, it never works. It took me about 30 minutes just to get the wifi to work to get to write this review, it took me literally 16 minutes just to send 1 message. Not to mention how the connection always disconnects by its self, and then I have to go through typing the passwords all again. I do NOT recommend

Sky Internet is literally the worst provider ever. We have been disconnected from our broadband six times this week, their customer support sounds like you're talking to robots and here's the worst part:
I was promised a 55Mbps connection, and I've got the speed of like 500Kb/s even on Ethernet. There's nothing wrong with my computer or my router's position, it's the complete company of idiocy known well as Sky. And the bills are totally shocking!
I like Sky TV but it's a no go for their broadband. Even AOL back in the 90's was better than this complete and utter rubbish.

Where do I begin with the problems I have had with Sky's Broadband.
Firstly, I'll mention that my house has a direct line of site (150 yards away) to one of sky's hubs (I believe this is what it is I'm not a network expert) but this info was given to me by one of Sky's Engineers. So I find it hard to believe that despite the fact that we pay so much for 72 mb/s DL I struggle to reach 1.5 mb/s. This is completely unacceptable. This is not an irregular occurrence. For the entirety of today I have been running SpeedTests Using speedtest.net on my laptop and have gotten a Download speed above 1 mb/s 1 time out of well over a hundred tests. I did not try to ring the customer service because, in the past when I have, I have been told they will only speak to the account holder. Which happens to be my mother, someone who knows next to nothing above technology and when ever she has tried to talk with the support, they have confused her with technical jargon she simply does not understand.
In Summary, I could not be more disappointed and appalled with Sky's broadband and the way they treat customers who have been with them for years.

Theses ratings may seem unfair but.... We live less than a mile from the exchange in the capital, so according to SKY we get 16Mb+; the truth though we are lucky if we get internet at all. Today was a good day and we got a whole 2.5Mb down and .4 up with only the bi hourly router restart (which SKY takes the credit for fixing, forcing my browser to their page with the sarcastic SUCCESS message). This feels somewhat "give the dog a bone"(1Mb). Calling is another story with BT's line being blamed for all our woes, we've had them out numerouse times with them telling us all is fine their end; So who to believe? Well I know SKY have lied to me multiple times, the latest being the "its just your house" line, this is easily proved wrong by calling anyone else on SKY in the area as they will also be on hold waiting for customer service with no internet, when confronted with such facts the advice given is to email them! This i can do despite the issue of no internet as i now have to shell out for unlimited 4g teathering (7MB to at best 20 and a bit) Such emails though are met with instructions to call! and even once a rude twitter message. Well i could go on but I think that covers my rating. My final thoughts get the hell away as soon as you contract is up!

Have had outages, but generally service is available. The speed can't be relied upon. Also there latest devices won't cover every corner of your house in terms of WIFI coverage.
Customer support is horrible and it reflects how poorly they consider this part of their service.
Their contract terms go by each package and its a web that you can't expect a normal person [not a lawyer] to understand fully.
They design their contracts to keep you in their legal web.
They offer less price and will increase the price within 3 months and you are stuck with the contract for 18 months if you don't complain about it within a month.
I wanted to add a single channel package and after adding the chat rep says oh this changes your over all bill because you can't have the discount package on another package that you used to have because of this addition.
after removing the single package when i ask them to reinstate the old offer they say oh we might not be able to do that. Can I add another discount package with its own 18 months contract. Can you believe this.
I hope there are better alternatives out there, because I am waiting for my contract to be over.

OK I filled out the form wrong but they took my deposit of £5 on the 27/2/16 then I spent 20 minutes on the phone as they cancelled the contract due to my error now but advised they would reimburse. Now 23/3/16 still no funds received and have now been passed to my 3rd person on an on going call of 15 minutes. Poor service.

Wish it was possible to give zero stars. Broadband has been utterly rubbish for months, and got worse in the last 5 weeks. Still has not been resolved. Getting passed from team to team. Customer services is a real joke, never give you an answer. Biggest mistake was taking the whole Sky package, will never again do that. When things go wrong, you really cannot rely on them to fix the issue. Its firstly your fault, then OpenReach, but never SKY. Utterly Useless.

I have had my on going isue with sky regarding broadband now since may bank holiday 2013. The signel is week and regularly drops out. To down load a 30 min show on demand can some days take any thing from one hour to 4 days which was its worst.
I have been calling sky on avarage once a month and still no improvement. They even sent out an open reach enginner who rewired the hole lot from entry to putting in a new bt open reach socket so no need for the filter. This has still not resolved the proble. When we had the old netgea router we had no problems with signel or speed. Now speed is another isue. Again we are only 10 houses down from the bt box and acording to skys customer agents. We are getting such good speeds to the house we would not requier fiber. (If only it was true). We can at best only get 1mb or less. And no how many times they ask you to unplug this and that. I have placed an order for the wireless boster hoping this may help as the router its self is not fit for purpose. Aweek after I placed the order went online to track the order and yep you guest it has not been procesed. So called today on the live web chat only to have some one called Osker tell me it will be another 28 days now as they have been overwhelmed at the request for this product.
I then repeted my erleyer coment that mite have somthing to do with the router being not fit for purpose.
MY ADVICE IS DO NOT CHOSE SKY BRODBAND AS THEY DO NOT LIVE UPTO THE ADS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE THEY DO NOT HELP YOU.
THEY WILL DRIVE YOU INSAIN.
THE CUSTOMER IS SO NOT APRECIATED.
THE PRODUCT IE(ROUTER HAS NO QUALITY SIGNEL RANGE. SPEEDS SO SLOW YOU EITHER CAN NOT CONECT AND SERTANLY STRUGLES TO COPE WHEN YOU HAVE MORE THAT ONE DEVICE ON AT A TIME NOT GOOD FOR A FAMILY.
DO NOT CHOSE SKY UNLESS YOU ENJOY A FIGHT WITH PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT GIVE A 4X ABOUT YOUR SERVICE......

avoid at all costs!
speed much slower than promised (4 times!)
connection drops all the time
never able to contact customer services (always busy).
When I finally contacted - all I heard was "you did not let us know when there was a fault".
Is there a some kind of regulator body that can launch an inspection of how they deliver what they promise (and revoke their licence if there is enough grounds)? I am sure it won't come to that, but they clearly do not care for customers, so might care about a regulator.

speed 5-10 times lower than promised
connection drops repeatedly
customers services - 30min wait for a "chat with Sky expert" (with connection that drops out) or 20 min with a "sky expert on the phone"
"everything seems to be fine, no faults registered" is the only thing I could hear.
"restart your router" the only advice I get.
"we will investigate this matter" - promises, promises...
resolution: AVOID AT ALL COSTS (unless free of charge)

I do not advise anyone that has sky tv to have sky Broadband .Due to poor connectivity and lack of Wi-Fi , you loose both sky tv and all the other entertainment packages ,like Netflix,Disney, etc
You can’t even watch YouTube, you have no internet .
Rubbish system and Wi-Fi is terrible .
Can’t wait for sky contract to end .

Severely disappointed with the reliability and speed. Most of the time I'm getting about 15Mbits/s, with advertised 40Mbits. Very often the speed drops to around 1-5Mbits. The help and support pages are really poor, just guiding through very basics. For example, when choosing an option that my speed is slow they still suggest to check that HUB is on and connected. Of course it is! Without that it wouldn't be slow, it wouldn't work! And no way to contact then via web form, always redirecting to phone (sorry, I just don't enjoy speaking for 2 hours and repeating the same things over and over). Get it together Sky! It's not even a cheap service, not at all!
