Broadband is worst I have ever experienced, it keeps cutting out, dropping out and when it does work its ridiculously slow, have reported before and was let down. Has been supposedly fixed but clearly is not, not value for money and will consider a new provider when contract is up if I dont cancel myself before hand.

Absolutely awful. I am a uni student and have recently had to move addresss, through no fault of my own. I attempted to move the Sky broadband over to my new address 4 weeks ago now. Initially I was told that since I ordered the home move more than 2 weeks before it was due to happen, I was told that the wifi would be set up for me moving in. A week later I was told that the home move had been cancelled - without informing me - and that this was because Sky had attempted to activate the wifi at the new address 3 weeks before I was due to move in - meaning that the old broadband was still active on that line and therefore the activation had not went through. I booked another home move - after being on the phone for over 3 hours - and requested that they do not try to activate the wifi before the date I was moving in, so that this did not happen again. However 3 days after this, the exact same thing happened again. After phoning up AGAIN, I was told the exact same story as before and that it will now be 2 weeks before I have wifi in the new address. I am a final year university student living in a Tier 4 area. It is exam season and all of my final assignments are online, but I have no way of completing exams or submitting assignments now because Sky repeatedly ignored my pleas and now I will not have wifi until the 15th of December, when I moved in on the 1st and was promised that it would be sorted out by then. Sky have been utterly unhelpful and the customer service has honestly been shocking. I am now in danger of failing my degree due to non-submission all because Sky customer service did not take my lockdown, university situation seriously.

I honestly got better broadband service in 1999. Sky broadband has been the single worst provider I have ever endured. Any company that removes Google reviews should be a company everyone should avoid.

Sky broadband is the worst provider I have ever had! Please choose a different provider. BT is my business provider and I have never had an issue with them.

Long term O2 broadband customer very happy with previous service and speeds - usually 10/1.2 - then Sky take over and speed is gradually deteriorating and connection intermittent. Now so bad Facebook newsfeed struggles and streaming anything is a distant memory. And they put the price up 50%.
Voting with my feet, bye bye Sky and your greedy and abysmal service!

A while ago I spent over 3 months with my Internet droping out 10 - 50 times a day. They never fixed it and after giving up it eventualy started working again. Now I have give them my notice to cancel and suprise they keep droping me again. They do this on purpose! They are the worse kind of people. They have you running round it circles while they play dumb. I will never return to sky again they don't care about there customers at all. Also they won't reduce my bill which is 70 pound for only standard package. They should be banished! Don't even deserve 1 star!

I was a new customer with Sky. But now I wish I never joined Sky. I have so many regrets.I have had two months of nightmare. The Wifi on my mobile and my sons mobile we had no connection with the internet. I called 3 to 4 times to Sky customer services and I was told to follow the instructions online and change the channel number. when I wanted Sky to send someone out to check our lines it was clear to me they didn't want to waste their money sending someone out. I waited for the Manager to contact me but I got no call back. I had to pay £20 to Vodafone network for internet and I was at the paying Sky £22 too for the service I wasn't receiving.I waited over two months but we were receiving no internet connection on our phones. I Then cancelled the contract with Sky But I have to now pay a fee of £79.20 for cancellation. it wasn't even my fault. I feel I was taken advantage of. They don't want to waste a penny on their customers but instead they take money off them even though we're not at fault. no one was bothered. I have never had bad experience with any other network services. I will never join Sky again I've lost a lot of money because of them.

If your sky internet is connected well in your area, you are very lucky. My connection drops and connects throughout the day (5 minutes connected followed by 2 minutes dropped)!. It is not fair for customers to pay for the very unstable internet. Even explain my situation to customer service, they cannot do anything to solve this basic problem. Really disappointed.

We used Sky Broadband for years and had no issues. When we tried to take the service to another house it all went wrong. Instead of moving the service they gave me a better deal at the existing property and told me I had to wait for this to kick in before then trying to move the service again. This was all discovered in the same phone call but it was 'impossible' to stop it from carrying on. I then (before the call had finished) instructed them to cancel everything as I was so annoyed. Nothing stopped and I kept getting updated on my order progress. They actually cut me off immediately so the phone and broadband stopped working within hours. When I tried to go with BT the whole thing got held up because Sky would not release my old telephone number which I wanted to keep. Every other provider I spoke to answered calls within a few rings. Sky have a message indicating the wait time, lets say 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes if nobody is available the system just disconnects. I have never been so annoyed in my life with the general lack of customer service. Its like you should be grateful they are willing to supply you. I will never deal with them again and let as many people I know as possible to steer clear. This is not based on one or two phone calls it took many calls and huge amounts of time to get nowhere. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Moving to Sky from Vodafone broadband has been a very disappointing experience. I am a graphic designer and depend on good connections speeds. I cannot understand how organisations can get away with boasting 8Mbps and delivering, at best 3Mbps. In any other industry this would be damned as misrepresentation.

Constantly says that the access point is temporarily full despite it being used by only a few devices;there have also been other reports of this from over a year ago yet sky haven't bothered fixing the issue. Even when it does work the loading speeds are incredibly slow.

I am absolutely disgusted with the way i was spoken to today! My query was completely ignored whilst the man talked non stop about the new skyQ box i already said i did not want and was completely unrelated to my actual issue! And then when i said i was not happy to pay 65 pounds for someone to come and look at the satellite dish because i already pay a fortune per month, he began to shout at me and tell me i will have to pay it or it will not get fixed and i will still be charged for the services i cannot use! The situation was not resolved and i will be removing my custom from them ASAP! Appalling service.

After the hell with BT, waiting 3 months for them to fix my broadband I'd had enough. So cancelled with them. I signed up to sky broadband, they have very friendly and helpful staff. I was kept informed of activation date, and my broadband was activated on that day. So easy, after all the trouble I experienced with BT. I would definitely recommended sky broadband.

Bad to start with and getting worse. BB speed less than 4 Mb/s down and about 0.8 Mb/s up. When I complained that it is less than their contractual levels they told me they weren't surprised as they are adding new customers!

What sort of company adds new customers that the existing ones pay for? Sky.....+

It’s so rubbish. If your looking for good WiFi, look somewhere else. It’s unbearable. But, if you want a WiFi that’s unreliable, stops every 5 seconds, a slow connection, and a WiFi that is unreliable, then sky is what your looking for. If a bomber blew up sky and all its servers went down u would notice cause the WiFi’s that awful and u would think it’s your casual internet

Absolute worst internet provider ever created. I don't know how they are still in the business. If you can even get onto the internet then you'll find a website, or even a whole popular IOS browser is blocked. Not only that, but you have to pay to get the browser, which means you're paying for a digital paperweight! How fast is it? Slow. Really slow. It's 2015 and I can;t even properly watch a Youtube video in 720p. Every single multiplayer game has poor connection. It's not my computer either. But you can't take responsibility in your own problems so obviously, according to you, it's my fault. It's my fault that you can't deliver internet to my house or even be asked to update the router which is literally the same model router that I remember having in around 2005! That's 10 years ago and you're still shipping your customers with the same flimsy bit of unattractive plastic that has a few flashy green lights on it?! If you're even considering of getting Sky, please don't. You'll regret it. I'll regret it. Every other miserable Sky customer will regret it. They don't deserve to take your money and 'give' you a service you never receive! Surely, in this day and age you can give me a download speed over 1Mb/s! I could probably walk over to the guy who made the webpage, get the information I was looking for and come back before the information had actually downloaded. It's ridiculous. Someone spends money on your internet because they, believe it or not need it to do anything now. Instead, all they are left in return is a waste of space and a bigger bill to pay, still facing the same problems that they faced before. I don't even know what to say. Believe in better, with another internet provider which actually provides internet. Sky's cloudy. Chances of slow internet speed with areas which will get internet down time. Lets get some things straight. BT supply good TV and Internet and phone. Virgin Media supply all sorts of things. Sky supplies a bad TV service, awful internet, bad phone, bad customer service with bad attitudes and low GCSE grades. They may sound nice on the phone but that's just part of their job. It doesn't mean they are nice. And a clear example of that very thing is shown here. With Sky Broadband.

No good connection and with out my consent, renewing the contract and adding booster package is FRAUD.

I had requested for house move. However along with house move, they renewed my contract for 18 months and also added Sky Broadband Boost package. Neither I asked for this, nor they took my consent, they just renewed and sent me a mail. As I was not expecting a change I didn't go through that mail. This is fraud.

Very slow broadband. Was promised 3-6 mb, got 1.5.
Upgraded to fibre. Promised 36-40 mb, currently getting 21. Speed drops and disconnects at least twice a day and WiFi range is poor.
Customer service isn't much better, as they keep telling me that there is nothing wrong with the service.

Severely disappointed with the reliability and speed. Most of the time I'm getting about 15Mbits/s, with advertised 40Mbits. Very often the speed drops to around 1-5Mbits. The help and support pages are really poor, just guiding through very basics. For example, when choosing an option that my speed is slow they still suggest to check that HUB is on and connected. Of course it is! Without that it wouldn't be slow, it wouldn't work! And no way to contact then via web form, always redirecting to phone (sorry, I just don't enjoy speaking for 2 hours and repeating the same things over and over). Get it together Sky! It's not even a cheap service, not at all!

Awful. Was mediocre until we upgraded to SkyQ. Since then it has been horrendous. It got EVEN worse after I ended my service with them... I'm pretty sure they're bottle necking my speed to spite me. I'm counting down the remaining days of my contract.

Can't stream without buffering. Can't play games without lag. Literally unusable.

Been sat on the phone for 2 hours no way of being able to get through to an actual person at customer support. Then a further 3 hours waiting to speak to someone on live chat I gave up in the end. Looking at changing to another provider who is more than likely cheaper and who cares about their existing customers more than new ones

    Never get Sky Broadband ever.

I've had it twice in my life in 2 separate locations and both been horrible. I'm sure I was promised at least 17mb download but don't even get 1mb.
    At least it's reliably bad.

    UP YOUR GAME SKY.
Getting Virgin when I move. Great experiences with them.

If you can avoid Sky, please avoid. They are team of scammers. One of the agent sold me a Braodband deal on phone with 12 months commitment. Then the letter comes saying 18 months. I called them to cancel and I was told there is no cooling period and there is nothing you could do even if the agent said 12 months. I have raised a complaint with them and it's been two weeks and still no sign of any progress on formal complaint. So beware of what you may be signing.

So useless that they can't even get me connected. Constant shifting excuses, blaming Openreach and lies. If this is how a new customer is treated i dread to think how they treat existing ones.

Week 13-Not really(only speradic small annoyances)had much of an problem before receiving my small Wirless box that feeds the 'On demand' which was offered to me when I called for something else. Well the 'On demand' never downloaded &/or took days to download a short programme let alone a film.It also completelty slowed down the internet & kept dropping out when it did connect(unusable).Told to jump through hoops to get it working by their tech people only to have the phone disconnected many times & never spoke the same person or even the call centre when I called back. When I made a complait a helpful individual took ownership of my issues & though for a few weeks still went by we were getting somewhere, now 13 weeks later I have had to keep the phone socket off the wall & plug phone line into the inside of socket which prevents the upstairs phone from working just to temp resolve the issue. They evntually sent out a BT engineer(by own admission was not Broadband experienced)he said nothing was wrong with the phone line(which I knew) & that it could only be the Sky equipment(which I knew) & since December no-one from the Sky has responded to any of my emails...really dissappointed & undervalued as a customer....What do I do!! Aaaaargh!

Sky broadband is totally appalling. The latest saga in the never ending problems with our broadband is intermittent connection dropping off -if lucky 2 times an hour, if not every 5-15 minutes - it's fustrating beyond belief.

Their customer services are completely unhelpful too. I've just spent an hour and a half listening to scripted rubbish. And my internet still isn't working. Which is a shame because when it is working (not as often as it should!) it give pretty fast speeds. But that fact is futile if you can't get any service in the first place!

The TV is good, but after being with sky for 10 years+ now, switching the Internet was the worse thing I've every done. We are self employed here and the Internet is utterly vital to us getting anything done. Am DEFINATELY cancelling and looking elsewhere.

Wouldn't recommend Sky Broadband to my worse enemy.
