I had never had to phone their customer service on the 4 years I was with them, but I've been trying to cancel my broadband due to moving house. First time phoned 6 weeks ago. After a frustrating conversation, I thought I had cancelled. Until I realised I had been charged again and my account online was still active. I was on the phone for 1 h next time, passed on to "the right department" 5 times. Obviously, each time having to explain and repeat the security answers. Finally, they raised it to a supervisor as they could not click cancel because the key was grey. True or maybe blocked by something done on my first phone call, I don't know. I don't even know if my contract has been terminated. I can't cancel my direct debit as then I'd be at fault. Meanwhile, I'll have to waste another hour in 4 days time to confirm a cancellation I thought was processed a few weeks ago, possibly be charged for something I don't use until my contract runs out in June.

Do not touch this company with a fifty foot pole. Their customer service is so bad it is set to become legendary. If they were set up by Jeremy Beadle to be tragically awful for a joke I’d say he’s overdone it. The bots are the only sensible voices in the company. Painfully useless group of people.

Talk talk is the worst company imaginable, avoid them at all costs!!
I cancelled my direct debit with them given my services ended after having to give 30 days notice. my bill doubled because it was outside of the contract. Because talktalk charges in advance, they sent me a bill on the 8th Feb for £42. Given my services at 12.01am ended on the 9th Feb I ignored it(waiting for talktalk to credit back), but because it took them 6 weeks to credit it back. I received a missed payment flag on my credit score. So now my 10+ years of a perfect credit report is ruined. Loans are refusing me credit! Then I contact customer service and either the people can't communicate effectively or they give me a different story each time. I have tried contacting the credit agency, for which they contact talk talk but they won't accept removing it. Don't risk dealing with this company, virgin media is a lot better.

My monthly charge was increased to %50+ and I decided to change providers Feb 27. 2023.I am way over the contract period. I found a new price of £22+ per month. Next day TT phoned from their Manchester office offering the same price but £100 compensation, upgrade to fastest speed and unlimited phone. I accepted as they control my email.
14th March an engineer from Kelly Comms arrived and I let him in. This involved a 140 mile trip. He left after fixing the connection in the street box and said it would take 20 minutes to come on. After 90 minutes the phone and Internet didn't work. Back to my other address to use another phone and i phoned Manchester to report it not working both on phone and Internet. The operator said my new account had stuck and they would try to fix it. Two weeks later still not working. Called Manchester again and told they had cleared problems and it would now work. South African office called to check my phone number and correct the account details. The account is all correct. Every time I call, despite being on the account they insist on me reading my details and password etc.
Two more weeks and still no phone line or Internet. Also the £100 compensation is not into my account but it's an American token system where I get a virtual £100 on my phone, but this doesn't work either because it won't accept the codes that they email.
I decided to cancel 3rd April and Manchester can't do it so connects me to a man with an Indian accent. He can't cancel without taking all my details including the new account number three times and putting me on hold 3x over half an hour. In the end I told him that I would stop the DD and he then said I would have to contact them again to check the cancellation had gone through. This will take me beyond the 10 days they said I had to cancel without charges. They then sent an email threatening to take me to court if I didn't pay subsequent charges and this would affect my credit worthiness.
After reading other reviews here, I am convinced that the customers are being given the run around in order to make maximum profit. Please report this to Ofcom.

Oh dear, nothing to say other than APPALLING. Having received NO notification that my contract had ended two years ago, it transpires that having been charged £51 per month suddenly I am told it could be reduced to £29.50 as I quoted my potential suppliers price. Sorry, too late, not only that the broadband has been so intermittent it has not been worth £2.50 per month!

We’ve had poor Wi-Fi from day one, we’re a year into the contract and it’s got no better. Customer services are very poor, often struggle to understand the operative, have repeatedly been taken through long corrective processes on the phone up to 2 hours long only to find no improvement. Asked to raise a complaint but no one called us back. I’ve almost given up and simply waiting for contract to end in 6 months time!!

Absolutely awful. Was told to be in for an engineer who never arrived. Turned out they'd sent all the wrong equipment. Call handler in India couldn't understand what I was saying and unable to deviate from their script so nothing got resolved. Locked in a contract but not receiving any service at all! When I tried to complain on the chat bot I was told they don't have a complaints team, they have a separate team for every other flipping thing! Totally incompetent company.left me stressed and upset. Would not recommend.

Talk talk live up to their name. I have spent a day and a half trying to cancel my broadband. I have spoken on the phone, text message and chat. With hope, tomorrow they are contacting me, so we can talk again about cancellation AGAIN!
I paid my broadband bill yesterday at 8am and they have put a bar on my internet saying that I need to settle my bill. I have given them the banks authorisation code and they say they haven’t received the money. Despite the money leaving my account.
I need my internet for work. My sons need it so study. I have been without broadband for over 24 hours. Wouldn’t recommend talk talk to my worst enemy, never mind a friend.

Change to faster fibre they said, well what an absolute joke it's been. Price hikes, services changed and cut. Even after everything was set up by an openreach engineer (who happened to have been one since an apprentice with BT), the customer service still insists on going through the same bs questions, wasting my time on the phone to reach the same conclusion I called them with, not once, but every time about the same problems, I don't waste my time with them anymore. Crap internet quality and their only excuse is it must be something in where my installation is located as their end shows I've got excellent speeds, not so when your movies are buffering and web pages take forever to load. Well it all worked ok before moving to talktalk and never had the issues of internet dropping out. The biggest problem is that the customer service aren't engineers, they work through a list of questions and then it's brick wall time. The sooner I escape this contract the better
